Chapter 36
Spending two days in the hospital, it was time for Stephanie and the baby to go home. Although he wanted to spend time with Stephanie and the baby, Davy and the guys had to leave for their tour.
Thankful for Lucy who was going to help Stephanie care for the baby until they come home, the guys got ready for the tour as scheduled.
It was the morning of the tour, and since she was awake and feeding the baby, Stephanie got to see the guys before they headed out the door.
"Are you sure that you can handle things around here until we get home?"asked Mike
"I'll be fine, and besides I ain't exactly going to be here all by myself taking care of the baby. "Said Stephanie
"I just wish we could have held off on touring for a while longer."said Davy Sighing
"Couldn't Davy stay behind?"asked Peter
"It's not that simple Pete. "Said Micky "Mr. Johnson wants all of us on the tour. "
"Asked besides that,it's only a few weeks. "Said Mike
"It'll be longer than that, if y'all don't get a move on."said Stephanie
After saying goodbye to the girls and the baby, the guys grabbed their suitcases and headed out the front door where there was a car waiting for them.
On their way to the airport, davy sat quietly next to Mike while peter and Micky played around with almost every button that was around them. Deciding to try closing his eyes, Mike popped them open everytime micky played with a button.
"I saw that Micky."said Mike
"How in the world do you know what I'm doing?"asked Micky
"Micky, ive known you for too long now, so there isnt a thing in the world you can do that I wont know about."Mike sighed
"Hey mike, why didn't Mr. Johnson tell us to bring our instruments with us? "Asked Peter
"They're probably going to have some waiting for us whenever we get to where we're going."said Mike
Arriving at the airport, the guys met up with Mr. Johnson and John who handed each monkee their plane ticket. Following them through the airport, the six of them boarded the plane and prepared for take off.
Settling in their seats, Mike ended up sitting next to micky while peter and Davy sat in the seats behund theirs. Already arguing with Micky in the car about not touching anything, mike gave him a warning about the plane.
"Alright mick, we're going to be way up in the air soon, so dont touch anything once we take off or else."said Mike
"Or else what?"asked Micky
"Or else I'll have them throw you off the plane. "said Mike
"You wouldn't dare."said Micky now face to face with Mike
"Try me. " Mike said smiling
"Hey Pete, switch seats with me. "Micky said as he took off his seat belt
Switching seats with Peter, Micky sat next to Davy who decided to take a nap during the flight. Smiling a goofy grin, Micky decided to tease his young friend.
"Hey Davy, enjoy the benefits of sleeping while you can."said Micky
"I'm not going to let you get to me Micky. "Davy said as he grabbed his pillow
"I'm just stating the obvious, since you probably won't be able to get your beauty sleep once you have to get up all hours of the night every time your kid starts crying. "Micky sighed
"Once we do go home, I wont care about sleep because, all that matters to me is getting to know my son and spending time together with Stephanie. "said Davy
"You say that now."said Micky
"Micky leave him alone."said Mike
"I sure hope this tour will be fun to do. "said Peter
With the plane finally taking off, the guys knew that for the next three weeks they would be living in one hotel room after another and working the hardest they had ever worked in their lives, which could turn out to be something that they hoped would wind up being worthwhile in the very end.
