Years have passed, at least four have gone by and they have gone quickly, before their eyes. Kagome and Inuyasha were standing outside the hut, watching their children look at the sky.

"I presume you will be leaving now?" Kagome asked her husband, raising a brow to question him. Inuyasha turned to his wife and crossed his arms,"Yeah. It is about time we did." Kagome nodded and smiled.

"You have been waiting for this moment for basically ever since Makoto had turned one," his wife commented and Inuyasha smirked, he then nodded to her words, knowing that she was right.

"Make sure you two will be safe. If it gets cold, make sure that he will be warm, I don't want him getting sick," Kagome said worriedly.

"Keh, I will be sure that the pup is kept warm, I don't think it'll be cold though. Why don't you sit down and relax, we'll be back before you know it," Inuyasha retorted, putting his hands on his wife's shoulders.

Kagome's tender look made Inuyasha slightly blush. "What?" he questioned her, arching a brow in the process. "Be careful alright," she said softly, taking a step to him and hugged him.

Kagome closed her eyes momentarily and relaxed even more when his strong arms wrapped around her small form. "I will and I'll watch over Makoto. I am worried about you and Kisara, I don't like leaving you here without protection," he whispered, putting a clawed hand over her head.

"We'll be just fine, now you go on, come back soon." Kagome said, kissing him quickly and than taking a step back. Inuyasha smirked and nodded,"'Course we'll be back soon, wouldn't want you bitin' your head off with worryin."

Inuyasha walked over to his son and ruffled his head.

Makoto smiled broadly and began to follow his father to go on their journey to where Totosai stayed, he was excited to get his very first sword.

"Bye Onii-chan! Bye Chichi-ue! We'll see you when you come back!" Kisara waved goodbye and smiled at her brother who turned around to wave good-bye in return. Kisara ran to her mother and hugged her knees.

"Mama, when will I get a weapon of my own?" Kisara asked, tilting her head in curiosity. The girl's hair had grown at least four inches longer and was reaching the lower part of her back. She was at least three feet tall.

"I don't know, when you decide whether you want it to be a sword or of your choosing," Kagome said, smiling at her daughter and took her hand. "Say, how about we go visit Sango-chan. I bet you'd like to play with her kids."

"Okay. I'll play with Sakura-chan, Haruka-chan, Tadashi-chan, Keiji-chan, Mikio-chan, and Shako-chan," Kisara said, naming the names of that of Sango's children. The newest members of the demon slayer's and monk's family were the twin boys, Mikio and Shako, both now four years old. The two boys had the same color hair as Miroku and eyes as well.

Kagome let out a laugh as the two walked the path to visit their close friends.

"Papa, did you really tell Totosai to make me a sword before I was born?" Makoto asked as he was sitting down on his father's shoulders.

Inuyasha glanced up,"Keh, I wasn't sure whether you'd be, well you - but I got 'em to do one when you were only months old." Makoto's eyes widened and his brows furrowed.

"Did Haha-ue know you were going to talk to him?" Makoto then questioned.

"….Yes?" Inuyasha said hesitantly and his son grinned. "Haha-ue doesn't know, that's not good," Makoto had stated.

Inuyasha became worried, afraid that he'd get sat, which hasn't happen in a really long time. He was sure that Kagome wouldn't sit him for such a thing. In truth, he hasn't been sat for at least three years.

The last time he had gotten sat was when he and Kagome had gotten into a fight, and she didn't speak to him for a week, which killed him inside.

"We're here," Inuyasha said, shifting his son that was sleeping in his arms. The six year old opened one eye sleepily, then the words started to sink in his brain and his eyes widened.

"Really!" Makoto exclaimed and sat up as they entered what it looked like a cave.

"What is that ruckus?" an older voice had pointed out and looked about to see the source. "Totosai, Inuyasha-sama has finally arrived," Myoga the flea had informed the swordsmith and jumped up to greet his master.

"Keh, and it was about time too," Inuyasha said, walking up to the two of them with a grin on his face. He had set Makoto down when the pup was so eager to not stay still.

Totosai looked at Inuyasha and his eyes squinted to see the pup that was near him, clutching on his red hakama.

"Ah, so this is young Kisara, why'd you bring her?" Totosai had asked Inuyasha, and looked down at the young Inu pup.

A vein pressured in Inuyasha's head and his eye twitched. In doing so, he lifted his hand and thumped it over the older man's head, angry that the geezer had said such a thing.

"Um Totosai, you see - that is Inuyasha-sama's son - that is Makoto, the oldest." Myoga had spoken up, clearing his throat before beginning, he had winced when his master had thumped the elder man.

Totosai squinted his eyes to get a better look at the Inu pup and he rubbed his chin, thinking long and hard. "Hmmm. Myoga are you certain this is his son? Are you sure he isn't a she?"

Myoga took a step back when he heard an annoyed growl come from his master,"I-….certainly Totosai."

"Well then. What can I do for this rascal?" Totosai had asked him, arching a brow and looking up at the Inu-hanyō. His eyes would look at the pup by his legs.

"I came for the sword you made for Makoto. Do you have it ready?" Inuyasha inquired of the swordsmith.

"Sword?" Totosai scratched his chin and his eyes wandered up to the top of his cavern. "Did you really ask me to make a sword for your son?"

Inuyasha gritted his teeth,"Yes." He remembered when Totosai pulled out one of his fangs in order to create the sword for Makoto.

The swordsmith nodded and then turned around to search,"Hmm…lets see here now."

Makoto sat down, staring at both Totosai and his father, even the flea that sat on his father's shoulders. He was too excited for his own good, he really wanted to see what his sword looked like.

I wonder if it'll be as powerful as Tetsusaiga some day, Makoto wondered.

"Ah! Here it is, not too shabby this one, eh. This isn't as great as the ones that the great Inu no Taisho had made. But, this one does have a lot of power, power that would be activated when he has reached a mature enough age for it to be used," Totosai informed him.

"Alright," Inuyasha said, getting up and reaching for the sword. Makoto almost sat up but then watched the swordsmith move the sword aside.

"This sword will help in controlling his youki, such as that of tetsusaiga, it can also put up barriers with his own spiritual power. The attacks, I do not know of, but he will find out in time."

Totosai handed the sword to Inuyasha. "Thanks old man."

Totosai paused in speaking and his brows furrowed,"For what?" Inuyasha smirked at the swordsmith and turned to his son.

Makoto gulped and stood up to grasp the sword. He smiled at his father. Inuyasha gave him a curt nod, knowing that Makoto was thanking him silently with his smile. My first sword, Makoto looked down at it.
