Gru was still unconscious, but he heard Scarlet laughing. Then he woke up and gasped.
Gru: How long was I out? Lucy? Girls? Dru? Dr. Nefario? Minions? Balthazar? Where is everyone!?
The rest of the family were in Scarlet's Castle.
Lucy: Let us go Scarlet! We want no part of you or villainy.
Scarlet: Silence!
Herb: Hello Balthazar.
Balthazar gasped.
Dr. Nefario: This doesn't look good.
Lucy: Why did you bring us here?
Kevin: Yeah. Weren't you after Balthazar?
Scarlet: Well every time I try to get Balthazar, it fails. So we're going back to the original plan. Kidnap the family and destroy Gru.
Margo gasped.
Margo: No.
Lucy: That's it. I'm calling Gru.
Before Lucy can call Gru, Scarlet grabbed the phones from everyone.
Scarlet: I don't think so. You're not using your phones! El Macho, take these phones.
El Macho: I'd be happy to.
Edith: You better give those phones back to us or you'll get pranked.
Scarlet: Do I hear a threat? If anyone is threatening me, I will break your phones!
Margo: No! Edith, stop!
Scarlet: That's what I thought.
Vector walked over with a gavel and gave it to El Macho.
Vector: Here El Macho, you can use this to break the phones.
Dru gasped.
Lucy: You just wait Scarlet, Vector, El Macho, and Herb. Gru's going to come in and he will save us!
Scarlet: Hah! Yeah right. He doesn't even know where you are!
Lucy: You're wrong!
Scarlet: Alright. Suit yourself.
Vector: Scarlet, I'd hate to interrupt your yapping with Gru's family, but what do we do when Gru comes in?
Scarlet: We'll make Clive attack him, but Clive doesn't talk. He used to.
Vector: Leave that to me. Come on Herb and El Macho.
El Macho: Fine. Herb?
Herb: Okay.
The villains left.
Agnes: Lucy? Do you really think that Gru will come?
Lucy: I don't know Agnes, but I still believe that he will come.
Agnes: I hope so.
Margo: Agnes, listen to Lucy. She still believes.
Then Lucy started singing I Still Believe from Miss Saigon.
Lucy: I still, I still believe Gru will return. I know he will. My heart against all odds holds still.
Balthazar: Nice singing.
Dr. Nefario: But will that singing make Gru come?
Lucy: He will come.
Back at Gru's House, Gru was thinking.
Gru: Okay. Let's think. The entire family is gone and I don't know where they are. Okay. Rule number one, don't panic. I'll find them. I bet they're kidnapped by the villains! Scarlet's Castle! I'm coming!
Meanwhile, Scarlet, Vector, El Macho, and Herb looked at Clive.
Scarlet: How do we get Clive to talk?
El Macho: He's a robot. Robots don't talk.
Scarlet: But he was able to talk before.
Vector: I got this. I've got a few voice machines that can work.
El Macho: Where did you get the time to make that?
Vector shrugged.
Vector: Anyway, this should work.
Vector gave Scarlet a voice box and Scarlet put the box on Clive. Clive started talking and he has an Italian accent.
Clive: Hello. My name is Clive.
El Macho: Is that the same voice?
Scarlet: No. He didn't have an Italian accent. I think it was British.
Vector: We're in England?
Scarlet: No! Next machine.
Herb gave Scarlet a different voice box. Scarlet put the box on Clive and Clive started speaking in Japanese. Vector and El Macho started laughing.
Scarlet: Really?
El Macho: Why do you have that?
Vector: I'm trying to learn how to speak different languages.
Scarlet: Clive cannot speak Japanese.
Vector: How about Minionese?
Vector and El Macho started laughing again.
Herb: Are they always crazy?
Scarlet: I hate to say it, but yes. Next!
While the villains were playing with voice boxes, the rest of Gru's family couldn't stand being prisoners.
Edith: I can't take it!
Dru: Neither can I.
Lucy: Okay calm down. I'm sure Gru knows where we are.
Balthazar: What if he doesn't?
Mel: This is all your fault Kevin!
Kevin: How is it my fault!? It's yours!
Dave: Why are you guys blaming each other? We didn't do anything.
Stuart: Dave's right.
Margo: I...need...my phone.
Dr. Nefario: The villains stole our phones.
Margo: I need it back!
Agnes: Okay Margo. Calm down.
Margo: I can't! Remember when I couldn't have my phone for a week?
Edith: That's not normal.
Lucy: Relax. We'll be fine.
Balthazar: You really think he's coming?
Lucy: He is.
Gru was still at his house. He was getting his weapons ready.
Gru: Alright. I'm ready.
Back at Scarlet's Castle, the family were still trapped.
Balthazar: I hope your right.
Lucy sighed.
Kevin: Why are we stuck together?
Mel: How should I know!?
Paul: Alright, quit it! We're all stuck here.
Dru: Brother, where are you?
Scarlet put a voice box on Clive and Clive started to speak German.
Scarlet: German? Are you kidding me!?
Vector: What if I want to go to Germany?
El Macho: Do they speak German in Germany?
Herb: I don't know.
Scarlet: And I don't care! Now fix it!
Edith thought of a plan.
Edith: Hmm. I've got this.
Margo: No. Please no pranks. If you do that, El Macho will break my phone.
Edith: Do you want to get out?
Margo: Yeah.
Edith: Then follow my lead. Hey Scarlet, I've got your voice box right here!
Edith gave Scarlet a voice box.
Scarlet: Uh….thanks?
Scarlet put the voice box on Clive and Clive made a noise that sounded like a noise maker. Edith started laughing.
Margo: Edith?
Scarlet: What did I say about pranks?
Edith: Actually it was threats. Not pranks.
Scarlet: Don't get smart with me!
Margo: Please don't break my phone. It's the newest one. An iphone 6.
Scarlet: Oh please don't break my phone. It's the new iphone 6. I don't care what phone it is!
Margo gasped.
Edith: Rude!
Scarlet: Silence!
Agnes: Help.
Gru's Family: GRU!
Then Gru ran in and opened the door.
Gru: I'm here!
Lucy: Gru!
Vector put a voice box on Clive and finally, Clive had the correct voice. He had a British accent.
Clive: It's Gru!
El Macho: Well?
Scarlet: Perfect! Clive, attack!
Clive laughed and turned the lights off.
Gru: What the? I can still sense you coming.
Gru attacked Clive and the other four villains.
Gru: Hah!
Gru turned the lights on and opened the cage so he can save his family.
Gru: You're safe.
Agnes: Gru.
Balthazar: Thanks.
Gru: Let's go.
Gru and his family left the castle.
