Stephanie's Pov

I stood in the living room watching out of the floor ceiling window at the storm raging outside. I had never seen back to back storms like we were getting hot with today. The lightning would flash and for a minute it would look like it was day light outside and then the thunder would boom. The rain was coming down so hard it was like sheets floating by in the lights, I was glad that even though RangeMan was a twenty four seven company, usually they didn't have to go out in bad weather. Seems the criminals all stay in and hide out during bad times. Another streak of lightning went across the sky and the thunder rattled the glass in the window causing me to jump.

"Don't worry you're safe here Babe" Carlos whispered in my ear as he nipped my ear lobe in his teeth

"I know, it just takes you by surprise sometimes" I told him as I laid my hands back on his and placed my head back on his bare shoulder. He began to trail kisses down my throat and I moaned as I felt his tongue follow.

"I thought you were sleeping?" I asked him when his hands found their way under my silk robe and began heading north.

"You weren't in bed, so I came to find you and bring you back"

"Couldn't sleep, I got up so I wouldn't disturb you"

Carlos undid the bow I had tied in my robe and let the two halves fall open. I quickly turned around so that I wouldn't give anyone who could see in here a show and glared at him. He just grinned that sexy grin and pulled me to him.

"Wanting to give people a show?" I asked as his mouth claimed mine

"No one can see in here with hardly any lights on" he said backing me up against the window as he attacked my mouth

Ranger pinned me against the cold glass of the window and began to ravage me. I always impressed by his stamina, but we had just made love right before I had come in here and here he is now ready to go a second time or is it third? Ranger pulled down his pajama bottoms, placed my leg around his waist, and his cell began to ring.

"Ignore it" he breathed and fused our mouths together. As he began to move his pelvis his office phone rang out.

"Ok, somebody is obviously trying to get you" I said as he groaned sitting me back down on my feet

Ranger tugged his pants back into place and staled off to his home office "Someone better be dead"

I followed him into the office and watched from the doorway as he sat behind his desk and called the person back that had called him. He listened as the caller told him what was going on and I watched as his fingers flew across the keyboard of his computer. I loved to watch Ranger work and how he becomes all serious as he takes command of the situation. Going over to him, I listened as he told the caller he would handle it.

"Everything ok?" I asked when he sat the receiver back into the cradle

"Santos didn't come in for his shift tonight and hasn't called in"

"He's probably with Eden, you know she dosen't like storms and since she is so pregnant he wouldn't want to leave her"

"Yea, but not even call in? Thats not like Lester and he's not answering his phone"

"Its the storms" I said again

"Yea maybe, I'm pulling the GPS on his truck and Browns on his way over to his house"

I paced back and forth waiting to get a call from Bobby and on what the GPS said. I was beginning to worry that something might have happened to Les, Eden, or God forbid the babies. Les would never just go off the grid like this and not let someone know what was going on. As Ranger stopped typing the phone rang and I went over to listen.

"Yea" he said

"Wide open? And no one was at home?" he said and I got a bad feeling which was confirmed with what he said next.

"I've pulled up the GPS on his truck, it says it is at St. Francis"

"On my way meet me there" he said and hung up

"I'm going too" I said following him into the bedroom to change

"Do you think something has happened to Eden?" I asked as I pulled on some jeans and a t shirt

"It would explain Lester's silence, but I cant explain why the door was wide open"

"There is cameras right?"

"And you don't think you can read minds, that was my next call as we get going" he said as we ran to the elevator

Lester's Pov

Eden and I had been here for hours and we were both exhausted. We were lucky that after we got out of our development it was pretty smooth sailing to the hospital. Eden had finally been admitted and the on call doctor came in and examined her and reported that she was in fact in labor. He then told us that it was early labor and could go on for hours, but he allowed us to stay in the hospital due to the bad weather. After what seemed like hours of Eden in constant pain, they gave her something for the pain that would let her rest and get some sleep while her body continued to dilate.

"Baby" I softly said to her as I combed my fingers through the hair at her forehead "I'm just going to go downstairs for a drink and a sandwich, I'll be right back" I told her. We both hadn't had anything to eat or drink and I was beginning to feel the effects of it.

"K" she sleepily said

I walked through the dimmed room and looked back before I opened the door. Eden looked so small curled up in bed with all the covers around her. My heart broke for her seeing her in so much pain, I'm so glad that right this moment she is calm and can rest before the real labor hits. Every time she yelped in pain it felt like a knife was in my heart and gut and it twisted at every cry and scream. Who knew a woman like Eden would have me wrapped around her fingers like she had me. I quietly opened the door and walked out. As it closed behind me I laid back against it and took in a few calming breaths myself. This was going to be a long night.

"Les" I heard and looked over to see Steph and Ranger running up to me

"Hey" I said running my hand down my face

"Are you ok, is Eden ok?" Stephanie asked looking me over

"She's in labor. Has been for the last few hours. She's just now been able to rest"

"REALLY"

"Yea her water broke on the basement steps and I couldn't get through to her doctor because of the storms, so I brought her here"

"Hey everything ok?" Bobby asked as he came running up to us

"Yea, Edens in labor"

"Wow, she's a bit early right?" he asked

"Yes, the doctor told her she would probably go early since having twins. How did you guys know where I was?"

"Brett called in and reported you never showed for the shift you were to have, Brown found your door standing wide open at the house, and the GPS had you as listed here. Also the Camera didn't show anything, I guess the storm knocked them out"

"Yea I had to get her here" I told them

"Do you need anything?" Ranger asked

"Maybe a new set of clothes and the bag thats by the door at the house. It has the things Eden will need after the babies get here"

"We're on it and if you need anything please let one of us know"

I know it may sound strange since this is supposed to be a private thing that happens between a man and his woman, bringing their child/children into the world, but I was glad that Ranger, Steph, and Bobby had shown up. It was calming to know my team was here and had my back in anything I needed or did and I had a feeling that one or all of them would be camped out in the waiting room down the hall.

An hour or two later Eden was up and the contractions were starting to grow heavy and she was doing her best to go through them. I would hold her and massage her as she breathed through them. The one thing I managed to get as we were racing out of the house was the ring I had bought for her and was going to give her. After the last contraction ended and she laid back to get her strength, I brought the ring out.

"Eden I love you so much. You are proving to me right now how strong you are and I want you to be with me forever will you marry me?" I asked her and her eyes went wide

"Oh my God, seriously? NOW?" she said "Look how I look"

"Your beautiful bringing our children into the world" I told her as I opened the ring box and showed her. I explained to her that each stone represented all of us and saw tears swim in her eyes.

"Yes" she said and then another contraction hit as I slid the ring onto her finger.

Doctor Mitchell finally came in and apologized for not getting here sooner. She said that where she lived was flooding and it took several detours to get to the hospital. She lifted the covers over Eden and examined her and then went to speak to her nurse who was writing things down in Eden's chart.

"Eden you're doing great, but we are a little concerned that your staying at seven centimeters and not going any further"

"What? Is there something wrong with the babies" We both asked

"No, nothings wrong we just need to get your labor going a little more with some medicines. Sometimes we just need a little help getting things going" she said and the nurse went out of the room

"Ok" Eden said exhaustion rolling off her in waves. I knew she was wanting to get this over with and now!

After twenty seven hours of labor the medicine kicked in and it was time for Eden to push. The nurses showed me how to hold one of her legs as they held the other. Doctor Mitchell sat between her legs and told her that on the next contraction to push. As Eden bared down she let an almighty scream loose.

"Good Eden again"

Eden pushed and pushed and finally we heard a cry fill the room. Everyone cheered as the baby was brought up and laid on Eden's chest.

"Its a girl" Doctor Mitchell said and Eden began to cry seeing our daughter for the first time. She looked up at me as the nurse took her away to clean her up and weigh her.

"Ok Eden we're set for baby number two when you feel like he's ready push"

Five minutes we waited and then Eden alerted us that the baby was coming. Helping her sit up again she was tired, but pushed with all she had and soon another cry was heard.

"Congratulations Mom and Dad you have two healthy babies" the Doctor announced and we were each handed a small bundle.

As I looked down at my little daughter in my arms, I couldn't help but let loose some tears. She squirmed in her blanket and placed her tiny hand around my finger. I looked down at Eden who was just staring at our boy and smiled at the picture they made.

"Oh Lester" She finally said through tears

"I know" I said cuddling the baby in my arms

"Lester get the baby" Eden suddenly said

"What?"

As soon as I said that alarms went off and I watched as Eden's eyes rolled into the back of her head. She went slack and the nurse swept the baby from her as her arms draped over the bed.

"Eden" I called as the baby was taken from my arms

"SHIT" I heard come from the Doctor who was still between her legs

"GET HIM OUT OF HERE SHES BLEEDING OUT" she yelled and I was pushed towards the door

"No Eden" I said and I began to fight the nurses off me

"Mr. Santos you need to leave" she said and I rounded on her

"NO, EDEN WHATS GOING ON EDEN"

The last thing I saw when I was shoved out the door was Eden's hand with the ring on it laying lifeless over the bed.

"EDEN! EDEN!" I screamed and heard the thundering of boots coming down the hall
