A/N: Ok, so I lied. I did the Christmas cabin chapter anyway just because I wanted to. :D This is just a fun fluff chapter (well actually there is a bit of smut too...). Hope you enjoy.
Thank you for all the follows, favourites and reviews. I love reviews. They make me happy.
I don't own Glee or the characters. Nor do I own the song.
Chapter Thirty Six
It was the day after Boxing Day, and, after pushing Kurt into economising with his packing choices, Blaine had finally gotten him into his car and they had driven off towards his parents cabin for their week away. Blaine had been getting more and more excited about this trip since his initial idea of what to give Kurt for Christmas. It was the perfect way for them both to relax without any distractions or anyone or anything to worry Blaine. They could just be together. As they were meant to be. With the drive taking a little over three hours to get to the cabin, they only just made it before it started to get dark. Having stopped off at a convenience store along the way to pick up something for them to eat that evening, Kurt immediately set about starting to make the evening meal, leaving Blaine to do all the heavy lifting.
As Blaine grappled with their suitcases, practically dragging Kurt's into their bedroom, he realised that they didn't have any chopped up wood for the fire for later. Blaine knew that they would be needing it as it was extremely chilly outside already, in all likelihood it would probably snow that evening. So he knew he would need to go out and chop up wood for them to use. Shrugging his coat off in the kitchen, since he knew he would work up a sweat, he kissed Kurt lightly on the cheek, causing his handsome boyfriend to smile widely, and walked just outside to the log piles. Blaine had never actually chopped the wood before when he had come up to the cabin, his father or Cooper had always done it, but he knew how he was supposed to go about doing it. Lifting the axe, he placed the first log onto the tree stump and swung the axe high into the air before bringing it down in a satisfying thud, the two sides breaking apart almost evenly. Yeah, this wouldn't be too hard at all. Blaine smiled, extremely proud of himself.
Kurt looked up from preparing the evening meal to see that Blaine was hard at work chopping up wood, starting to sweat at the manual labour. Kurt had never seen Blaine acting so masculine before and he found that he could not take his eyes off of him. As Blaine stopped to wipe the sweat of his brow, Kurt's heart fluttered inside his chest. He gulped as he watched Blaine strip himself of his jumper, leaving only his wife beater on. Seeing the large sweat patches on Blaine's back and chest did something to Kurt's insides that he never thought possible. Normally, he hated seeing sweaty boys and wished that they would just shower more, but there was something almost primal, raw about seeing Blaine's clothes soaked with the sweat that he had made from his physical excursions, the muscles in his arms rippling as he swung the axe in his hands, the veins surfacing along his sinewy arms. Kurt just wanted to go out and rip Blaine's clothes off and take him right there and then. Why don't I? It's not like there is anyone out there. Putting the oven on at a lower temperature for his pasta bake he had made to cook gently away, he hesitantly at first, stepped outside and across to his boyfriend.
"Hello Blaine! I thought that might have been you. Gosh, don't you look grown up now. Are your parents inside then? I might just pop my head in to say hello. We didn't know whether we would see you this Christmas. What a lovely surprise!" A woman's voice called out, across from a cabin a little way along from their own, which immediately stopped Kurt in his tracks, making him jump a little at the unexpected sound, a furious blush rising to his cheeks at his gutter filled mind.
Blaine looked up towards the voice and a smile immediately spread across his face.
"Hey Helen! It's great to see you. My parents aren't here, it's just my boyfriend Kurt and I. My parents decided to go see Cooper in LA this year instead." The woman had started walking over so that she could have a proper conversation with the two boys.
"What a shame. Tell them we said hi and that we hope to see them in the summer then." Helen replied, smiling warmly, a motherly look on her face. "This must be your boyfriend then? Hello sweetheart, I'm Helen Wells. It's lovely to meet you." Blaine turned to see that Kurt was standing just behind him and grinned as Kurt stood wide eyed, looking bashful. God, he's so adorable, I wish I could just stay by his side all the time. Day and night. "If you boys want to come over for dinner, you just come round my darlings. Anyway, I'll talk to you later because it's getting quite dark now and I had better start making dinner for Brian and the twins." Helen bid them farewell and went back into her own cabin, waving at them both before entering.
"Hey sweetie, is dinner almost done? I'm nearly finished with this."
"I just thought that maybe, well, you might want something to drink..." Seriously Kurt, you aren't convincing anyone. Blaine, however, didn't seem to notice that Kurt was looking incredibly uncomfortable at this precise moment in time. And staring at Blaine's compact, yet muscular body that was all but on display in a rather ravenous manner.
"That'd be great. I'll be in in a minute. Just want to finish this."
"O-ok. I'll put the kettle on. Make you a hot chocolate."
"That sounds perfect." Blaine beamed at Kurt, not sensing any discomfort on his boyfriends part as he shuffled rapidly back inside, his arms crossed over his chest, shivering slightly in the cold air.
When Blaine came back inside, bringing with him a basket full of chopped wood for the fireplace, he noticed that Kurt had set the table out with a deep red table cloth, and a multitude a candles, creating a romantic atmosphere on the dining table. Blaine couldn't help but feel his heart swell inside of his chest at the thought of a romantic, intimate dinner with his soul mate. With no one around to interrupt them at any point. However Kurt was nowhere in sight.
"Kurt? Where are you?" Blaine walked into the living room and spotted two hot chocolates on the table, complete with marshmallows bobbing on the top. Taking one of the mugs, he wrapped his cold hands around the outside and revelled in its warmth. He blew on the top before taking a sip of the liquid chocolate, letting it slide down his throat and warming his belly up in a comforting manner.
"I'm here. Dinner's almost ready." Kurt popped his head around the door, then skipped into the room to show off his outfit, twirling once so that he could let Blaine see the full effect of the outfit on him. Blaine whistled as he took in Kurt's lean, long, slim legs hugging a tight pair of black jeans with black boots laced up to the knees. With that he had slipped on a short sleeved white shirt with a dark red waistcoat on top, showing off his slim figure and slender, muscular arms. "Do you like?"
"I like very much. You look... breathtaking." Blaine stated as he drank all of Kurt in. Kurt always looked perfectly put together and Blaine loved the thought of ripping his perfect clothes off of Kurt one by one, unveiling what Blaine thought was his perfect body underneath. Stop it Blaine. You need to get through dinner first.
"Why don't you quickly go and change hon, then we can eat." Blaine looked down at his outfit as Kurt said that and realised that his clothes were all sweat stained. Eww, I look disgusting. What must Kurt think of me?
"I'm gonna grab a really quick shower whilst I'm at it sweetie, if that's ok?"
"Sure, the food will keep warm in the oven." Blaine smiled sweetly at his boyfriend and rushed into the bedroom to sort himself out before dinner.
After Blaine had changed and they had eaten Kurt's fabulous dinner, Blaine took them both into the living room, piling the logs into the fireplace and lighting it. Once completing that, he went and fetched them a blanket to wrap around the both of them to keep themselves warm.
Coming back into the room he saw Kurt sat on the sheepskin rug right near the fireplace. Blaine quickly went over and draped the blanket over Kurt's shoulder, keeping the other half wrapped over himself as he slid down next to the perfectly made up boy.
Kurt sighed and leant against Blaine's chest, wrapping his arms around the smaller boy.
"This is so perfect Blaine. Out here all alone, with no one to get in our way or interrupt us. It's so quiet and peaceful. And romantic." This was why he bought me here. So we could be together, just the two of us when he proposed. Kurt's heart was going a mile a minute at the thought of Blaine proposing. Of being engaged to Blaine. Of Blaine being his future husband. He thought that this might be the best night of his whole life. He had found the love of his life. His soul mate. The one who he was going to spend the rest of his life with, and he couldn't wait to start living it.
"Yeah. It really is, isn't it?" Blaine leant his head on top of Kurt's, content in sharing this moment with Kurt. A moment he would treasure forever.
"I love you Blaine." Kurt snuggled further into Blaine's chest, taking a deep breath in and inhaling Blaine's scent. He loved the way Blaine smelled. Of raspberries, vanilla and just him. He could breathe in Blaine's scent all day.
"Kurt?" Blaine asked after a few minutes of comfortable silence between the two as they sat watching the fire burn, satisfied in each others arms.
"Yes?" Oh my God. Is this it? Is he proposing to me now? It's perfect, everything's perfect. I love him so much. Kurt leaned upwards to look Blaine in the eyes and saw the golden pools shimmering in the light of the flames. What came out of Blaine's mouth next was unexpected to Kurt to say the least.
On this day, snowy day
Let me thank you for the joy you're giving me
I'm so happy
I have snowflakes of love smiling down on me
Kurt's aqua eyes gleamed as Blaine started singing a Christmas love song to him. A song about how happy and wonderful life was now that they were in love with each other. This had to be it. This had to be the moment. Blaine would sing to him and then he would propose. Kurt's heart pounded heavily in his chest, bursting from the adrenaline flowing through him as he prepared himself for his one true love to ask him to marry him. Blaine indicated for Kurt to take over after the first verse and Kurt gladly complied. After all, they were a team. The perfect team. A team that no one could tear apart. Ever.
Winter bliss when we kiss
Every wish my lips could see
I'm so happy
I have snowflakes of love smiling down on me
Blaine didn't think that he had ever seen Kurt looking so beautiful as in this moment. His face was full of love, soft, open and trusting. Complete happiness covering every inch of him as he looked straight into Blaine's eyes. He never wanted to let him go. Ever. He vowed right then and there that nothing was ever going to tear them apart, no matter what it was. Even his secret. He joined in with his boyfriend to sing the next part of the song, the harmonies combining perfectly to make the song even more breathtaking than the original.
Snowy day
Would you please take me away
Away with you, hold me so closely
Like the moonlight lights the sky
In my dreams of soft winter breeze
Eases my mind, but when I wake
There's nothing left but leaves
Still, I'm happy
I have snowflakes of love smiling down on me
As Kurt stopped to allow Blaine to sing the next verse, he reached up to place a kiss on his lovers cheek. This song was the perfect choice for them. Blaine had swept Kurt off his feet, quite literally, when he met the boy all that time ago and Kurt had only been falling deeper and deeper in love with Blaine every day from then on. He couldn't imagine a life without him, he wouldn't. He remembered the day that they first met and smiled. Blaine had been so forward in how he felt, and Kurt had been blown away. By his beauty, his courage, his strength, and most of all, his kindness.
Oh, how I imagine the day we met
And those tingles from all those little butterflies
Reminiscing, I get so happy
I just break down and cry
A tear had started flowing down Blaine's cheek, but it was a tear of pure joy. He couldn't remember ever feeling so happy in his life as at this particular moment, with his Kurt in his arms. Kurt reached up and wiped it away, causing Blaine to chuckle a little whilst singing. They looked after each other, they understood each other completely. Blaine was so lucky that he had gotten this chance. He owed everything to his genius friend, although she would never know it.
Candlelight burning bright
Underneath a cool, starry night
You and me, endlessly, it's the greatest gift
That love could give to me
On this day, snowy day
Let me thank you for the joy you're giving me
I'm so happy
I have snowflakes of love smiling down on me
As Blaine ended the final note he felt Kurt move so that he sat on his knees, facing Blaine.
"Yes! Yes, Blaine." Kurt spoke out, pink rising on his cheeks as he bought his hands up to his mouth in a prayer gesture, as he pre-empted Blaine's supposed proposal. Blaine, a small frown framing his face in confusion at this behaviour from Kurt. Why is Kurt saying yes to me? I haven't even asked him a ques... OH MY GOD!
"Um, Kurt. What exactly are you saying yes to?" Blaine asked hesitatingly, gulping down his nerves, but not drowning them completely as he bit his bottom lip and felt his heart beat rapidly, his stomach churning.
"Well, we are in this romantic cabin, and in front of this picturesque fireplace, and you sang me a song... and Rachel... Well, she..." Kurt bumbled out, starting to realise that Blaine may not have been planning to propose to him at all.
"Rachel what, Kurt honey?"
"Well, you have been acting nervous lately and a little distant and saying that you needed to talk to me about something, but whenever you did you changed the subject to something silly, so Rachel thought that, well, that you were going toproposetome." Kurt stuttered, blurting out the last part in a rush. He looked down into his hands, not able to look at Blaine any longer. He was thoroughly embarrassed. He couldn't believe he had allowed Rachel to make him believe that Blaine was going to propose to him. I mean, they were still in high school for God's sake. What had he been thinking? He felt like a complete idiot. When Blaine started to chuckle, Kurt's blush could only increase, covering his whole face in a flaming red colour.
"Oh my darling. Honey. You really thought that I was going to propose? Is that what you want?" Blaine asked his guy. If Kurt really wanted it, then they needed to have a serious discussion right then and there.
"Yes. Maybe. I don't know."
"Kurt, listen to me. We have the rest of our lives together. We don't need to rush into this. I do want to ask you to marry me, someday. In the future. When we are both grown up and ready for a commitment like that. Not that I'm saying we aren't ready now, just, marriage is kinda more complicated than two people just saying 'I do'. I mean, we would share everything. And I mean, everything. Would you mind very much if we waited for a few more years before we go down that road?"
Kurt, looking sheepish, shook his head to say that he didn't mind at all. Blaine was right. They were too young right now. Kurt didn't really understand the first thing about what married life would entail. And they had the rest of their lives to deal with all that.
"I'm sorry." Kurt responded, sounding thoroughly chastised.
"Kurt, it's fine sweetie. I'll blame Rachel." Blaine winked to show that he wasn't upset or worried about what had just happened and Kurt visibly relaxed. He didn't even realise how much tension he had been holding in his body when he waited for Blaine to propose.
"So we are good then?" Blaine asked, giving Kurt his best puppy dog eyes.
"Perfect." Kurt kissed Blaine firmly on the lips to show that everything was back to normal. No more thinking of proposals and marriage. At least, not for a few years anyway. Kurt smiled into the kiss, which Blaine deepened as he started undoing Kurt's buttons on his shirt. As Blaine moaned into the kiss, both breathing heavily, Kurt tugged at Blaine's polo shirt and Blaine pulled away from their kiss long enough for Kurt to rip his shirt over his head, before they went back to passionately kissing each other. Kurt pushed Blaine down till he was fully lying on the sheepskin rug, his length starting to ache at the strain in his tight trousers. He began undoing Blaine's trousers, pulling them over Blaine's hips, and setting free his lovers increasingly hardening member. Blaine by this point was breathing heavily, and he fumbled with Kurt's own trousers, trying to undo them. Kurt, seeing that Blaine was having a hard time undoing the button on his jeans, sat up straddling Blaine and quickly divested himself of his own clothing, the release welcome as his length was freed from it's constrained confines.
"Kurt, I want you so much. Make love to me, please." Blaine asked pleadingly, gasping the words out. Kurt gently placed butterfly kisses all along Blaine's jawline, before going down his collarbone and then further down his chest, licking and teasing his nipples along the way. Arching into Kurt as the boy pulled on Blaine's right nipple, Blaine mewled in response, jutting against his lover, showing his fervent desire. Kurt placed his hands on either side of Blaine's thighs, pushing him down and parting them swiftly, before taking hold of his cheeks and pushing them open. Realising that they were missing something vital, Kurt let go of Blaine, causing the boy underneath to whine slightly at the loss of Kurt's touch.
"I just need to get the lube my love." Kurt whispered to a whimpering Blaine. He was rigidly hard by this point, precum forming at the tip of his cock. Kurt speedily ran into their room and threw everything out of his suitcase till he found what he was looking for, not caring about the mess that he had created.
Coming back he could see Blaine had taken to touching himself, tugging at his length in pleasure.
"I'm back now Blaine. You can stop." Kurt took Blaine's cock in his own hand as Blaine released it to his boyfriend, who then licked the precum off of Blaine's tip, pumping his hand up and down a few times before letting go and leaving Blaine to groan at the loss once more.
"Kurt, I really need you now!" Blaine panted, arching into Kurt, rutting against him and causing the taller boy to moan out loud at the contact. Urgently, Kurt squeezed the lube onto his fingers so that he could stretch Blaine. Blaine, wanting Kurt to proceed more quickly, turned over till he was on all fours and arching his back towards Kurt, spreading his legs and cheeks for Kurt to enter him.
"Oh Blaine, you are so damn sexy." Kurt whispered as his finger delved into Blaine and his other hand wrapped around his member, pumping gently and in rhythm with his finger. Soon he was stretching Blaine with two and then three fingers, Blaine getting increasingly louder as Kurt progressed stretching the boy, hitting his g-spot, till he was ready to be entered.
"Uh, Kurt, I'm ready. Now. Fuck me now." Kurt, who was starting to sense his own overwhelming need, slapped some lube quickly onto his length, grabbed Blaine's hips and thrust roughly into Blaine, and proceeded to pound into the boy relentlessly, both on the verge of coming. Kurt heard Blaine's cry as he orgasmed and feeling the tightening of Blaine's anus, Kurt needed no more stimulation as he came just after his lover. As the adrenaline started to wear off and weariness sank in, Kurt pulled himself out of Blaine, dropping heavily onto the rug, panting rapidly as the waves of pleasure washed over him.
Blaine by this point had dropped down till he was lying on his front, small shivers from his orgasm still running through his body.
"Best Christmas present. Ever." Kurt exclaimed as his breathing became more regular. He heard a chuckle from Blaine, who just smiled and rested his head on top of Kurt's chest, snuggling into the side of the boy before letting out a huge contented sigh, already succumbing to slumber.
"Totally." Blaine replied, then promptly fell asleep.
