Harry tried to control her heartbeat as she looked at her godfather, who had just woken up, and was being given calming potion by school matron. Harry took him to hospital wing as he did not wake up with enervate spell. She felt really worried for him as she never saw him in such a condition. It was good thing that Tom agreed to let her talk to her godfather alone else... she shook her head as she did not want to think about it.

She gazed around the hospital wing, all other beds were empty. She took out her wand and cast spell around them. She knew her godfather would speak to her about Tom and she did not want to be overheard. The whole situation was making her feel really nervous, Sirius was like her own father, her only family and his approval meant alot to her.

"Harry?"

Taking a deep breath she looked back at her godfather and found that school Matron had left them alone.

Sirius was staring at her without any expression.

"Tell me it was only a nightmare."

She opened her mouth to speak but closed it as she could not think of any reply for that question.

Sirius stared at his nervous goddaughter, and started thinking how everyone in Slytherin used to never speak about Riddle's girlfriend in front of him. He only learnt that it was someone from Hufflepuff and wanted to investigate about it, till that snake took Connolly for Hogsmeade and he thought that maybe it was Ravenclaw not Hufflepuff.

"How long is this going on?"

Harry gazed at her godfather, why did he look so calm? Maybe it was because of that calming potion. Maybe he would not be that upset. "We are dating since Hogsmeade ."

Sirius frowned at her, "Tell the truth Harry. I heard about Riddle and some mysterious Hufflepuff witch way before Hogmeade. I want an honest reply from you."

She shook her head and said, "I am telling the truth Siri. We only started dating after Hogmeade. Before that we only met few times and others thought we were together, as he hardly ever seen with any other witch."

She edited telling him about their kisses or sleeping together after Halloween party. Till now her godfather was calm and she wanted it to be that way.

Sirius stared at her, maybe he gave her love potion or something. There was no other explanation for Harry to behave that way."Have you ever taken anything to eat or drink from him?"

She could not understand her godfathers' question but still answered, "No."

Sirius did not say anything but kept on staring at her.

She took a deep breath and said," I love him Siri. I mean we love each other. He is not the way you said he was. He is really nice. I know I am rambling.. but he makes me happy. We like .."

Sirius cut her, "Are you drunk?"

She shook her head, and opened her mouth to reply but Sirius cut her again and asked, "Or are you on some kind of potion?"

She shook her her head again, "No Siri.. "

"THEN WHY?"

She jumped in surprise as Sirius never shouted at her like that before.

"WHY DID YOU SAY YOU LOVE THAT SNAKE? AND HOW COULD YOU EVEN KISS HIM?"

"Siri I .."

"SHUT UP HARRY."

She stared at him as he glared at her for the first time ever. He gritted his teeth, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE ?"

"But we.. "

"HARRY SHUT UP. SHUT UP. "

Sirius took a deep breath to control his anger and shook his head, "Did you forget who he is?"

He stared in her eyes, "He is Voldemort. The murderer of your parents. The same parents who sacrificed their lives for you. This is how you pay them back? You say you love their killer? "

She frowned at him. How could he compare Tom with Voldemort? She pointed her finger at Sirius and said, "He is Tom not Voldemort. The person you talk about does not exist. "

Her reply made him more upset, "HE IS NOT DIFFERENT. HE IS THE SAME PERSON THAT KILLED MY BEST FRIEND. HE KILLED JAMES. "

She shouted back,"MY PARENTS HAVE NOT EVEN BORN YET."

Sirius stared at her in shock, he could not believe that she was fighting for that Snake Lord. "I can't believe it. You are arguing with me over him? "

Harry made a pleading face, "Please Siri. He is not the same. He has changed. I mean really changed. He did not even kill his father. "

That surprised Sirius, "He did not kill his father? "

She shook her head, "No. He transformed him into a pig. "

Sirius started chuckling, then laughed harder. "Do you know what this means?"

She frowned at his cryptic question and sudden change of behaviour.

He stared at her and said, "This means there won't be any rebirth. He can't use animal's bone. Bravo Harry. You have done it. You have actually changed the future."

"What are you talking about?"

Sirius started feeling less stressed, there won't be any Dark Lord coming back to life. "We can now go back to our own time. I think I have found the way to make that black box take us back."

Harry stared at Sirius with shock, he was talking about going back to their own time. She would never leave Tom."I don't want to go. You go back. I want to spend my life with Tom."

"What?"

Maybe she did not explain herself clearly, she stared straight in his eyes and said without any fear, "I love him and he loves me. I will never leave him. I don't care what happens in that future anymore."

He shook his head. She was blinded by that so called love for that snake. His sweet innocent goddaughter had no idea what was right for her. "I forbid you."

She frowned at him, "About what?"

"You young lady will never see him again. We are leaving Hogwarts. "

"I won't."

He gritted his teeth, she thought he would let her ruin her life with that snake. That would never happen. He stood up and looked down at her. "Yes. You. Will. I am your guardian and I take these decisions. You and him won't happen. We are leaving today and thats final. Keep your things packed. I am going to talk to the headmaster."

Just as he turned, she grabbed his hand to stop him and pleaded. "Please No. Don't Siri. Please."

He just gazed back at her, "You made a wrong decision in life. It's time to correct it."

She stared at him, on the verge of breaking down. Love was not a decision, it was something that just happen." Don't Siri. Let me stay with him. Please. I Love him."

He jerked his hand to free it from her hold. Then frowned at her, "No. No. Never. I don't want to hear this anymore."

And he left her standing there.

Tom stared at his ancestor's portrait which was smirking down at him. "So you really want to know about that spell huh?"

He shook his head, "I told you its personal. Stop giving me that smirk."

Slytherin founder chuckled, "My dear heir..."

Suddenly, the door banged open and Harry came running in. "Tom .. Thank Merlin you are here."

Both Salazar and Tom stared at Harry, as she quickly told them about her brother's decision to take her out of Hogwarts.

Tom felt his temper rise. "Where is he now?"

"He said he was going to Headmaster's office."

Salazar stared at his heir, "Tom. Don't lose your temper on him. You have to be careful. "

Tom nodded then took Harry's hand and walked towards Headmaster's office. He won't lose her, she was his world.

As they climbed the stairs of the office, Tom gazed down at Harry. She looked as if she would break down any time. He touched her cheek and she stared at him with her lovely green eyes. "I won't let him take you away. Don't worry. "

She smiled and nodded.

He knocked the door and waited for Professor Dippet to allow them in. After few minutes the door opened up and Harry was surprised when she saw Professor Dumbledore present there as well, along with headmaster and Sirius.

Sirius glared at Tom as he entered Headmaster's office holding Harry's hand.

Tom however, just stared back at him calmly. He knew his one wrong move would take Harry away from him and he did his best not to attack that wizard who dared to think about breaking them apart.

Dumbledore frowned at Tom and Harry. Professor Dippet smiled on seeing his star pupil and said, "Oh Tom. It's good you came. Your housemate here wants to leave Hogwarts and I was trying to explain to him that he should atleast finish his fifth year."

Sirius repeated what he was saying earlier before that Snake came barging in. "Professor it's an emergency. I have to leave with my sister. "

Tom immediately said, "She won't."

He looked back at Professor Dippet and explained, "Harry wants to complete her education here and does not want to leave Hogwarts. "

Sirius scowled at Tom,"Who are you to tell what my sister wants? I take these decisions for her."

Tom raised his eyebrows, "Oh really? Have you asked her if she want to leave with you or not."

"She doesn't know what is right for her."

Tom narrowed his eyes, "And you know that?"

Sirius gritted his teeth, "Yes I do. That's why I want her to be as far away from you as possible."

Harry could not stop herself and said, "You can't break us Siri. I won't leave him."

Sirius glared at Harry, "Shut up Harry. I don't want to argue with you about this anymore."

Tom moved in front of Harry and looked down at Sirius, "Don't you dare talk that way with her. She will stay here with me."

As they were arguing both Professor Dippet and Dumbledore looked back and forth, along with many portraits of old Headmasters and Headmistresses on the wall.

Sirius shook his head, "No she won't. I am her legal guardian and I take these decisions."

Tom chuckled and said, "What legal guardian? You are not even an adult yet."

Sirius smirked, "If you forgot then let me tell you that I am not from this country. So your laws don't apply to us."

Professor Dippet nodded, "He is right Tom. In magical Germany the last living elder relative or male sibling or betrothed is considered legal Guardian for any underage witch irrespective of their age. He can take this decision for her without her permission."

One of the portrait on the wall shook her head and looked at her neighbour then said, "I don't want her brother to take her. Those two make such a cute couple."

Her neighbour nodded, "You are right. Hey Dippet. Think of some solution. We like those two together."

All other portraits nodded in agreement.

Professor Dippet just chuckled then shook his head as this was something which was out of hands.

Tom who was completely away from any of those conversations, met Harry's gaze. Then remembered something he read few years back in the library, "Wait a minute. There is one law that overwrites this."

He looked back at his headmaster and asked, "Isn't there an ancient law as per which if any witch is engaged then her fiance becomes her legal Guardian. There is no mention of age in that too."

They all stared at him.

Professor Dumbledore nodded and said, "Yes there is a law but it is only applicable if she is engaged to someone from an old magical family. "

Tom smirked and said, "Then he can't take this decision for her as she is engaged to me."

Professor Dumbledore shook his head, "Mr Riddle you are Muggle born."

Tom stared at Dumbledore and said,"I am not muggle born but a half blood. "

He gazed back at Professor Dippet. "I am a Slytherin heir and if you want then I can prove this to you right now."

He then pointed his thumb towards Sirius and said, "And he can't take her as she is my fiance and future member of Slytherin family. "

Sirius scowled at Tom. "He just made it up. They are not engaged."

It was Harry who answered this time."We are."

And she showed them the ring in her hand as a proof.

None of them noticed the look of greed that reflected on Dumbledore's face as he stared at that ring. He finally found the stone.

Sirius shook his head. "Harry wearing a ring is no proof."

Tom smirked at Sirius and said,"We have already gifted each other with the binding engagement gift. You want me to prove that?"

"You... I will kill you." Sirius tried to move forward to hit Tom but Professor Dumbledore held him back.

Professor Dippet shook his head, "Calm down Mr Evans. As Mr Riddle just proved. He is her legal gaurdian and she can't go with you."

Sirius stared at Headmaster. "Then I will stay here too."

Tom chuckled, "Why? Wasn't there an emergency."

Sirius glared at him and said, "If you think I will leave her alone with you then you are mistaken. I will never let her marry with someone like you."

Tom just smirked and replied, "We'll see about that dear Brother-in-law. "

Sirius nodded and stared at Harry then Tom. "Yes we'll see." And he marched out of the office.

Harry gazed up at Tom and smiled.

Professor Dippet grinned, "Well I should say congratulations to both of you. Hope you won't face any problem from him in future."

All portraits also shouted congratulations

Tom nodded as he stared back at his fiance, "I hope so."

Just as they walked out of Headmaster's office,Harry remembered something.

"Tom what's the binding engagement gift?"

He smirked and said, "Our virtue"

She blushed, no wonder Sirius looked ready to kill Tom when he heard this.

"Tom please be careful around Sirius. He was really upset. And please don't hurt him as well. He was just way too concerned about me."
