Chp 36- "What's wrong now? She wants to go home, but nobody's home. Don't know where she belongs. You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind. Bb strong, be strong now." -Nobody's home by Avril Lavigne.
A/N: Sorry that it's such a short chapter. It's just the way it worked out. Will post again soon!
Alex searched everywhere that night. Including Loki's chambers, but he was nowhere to be found and it seemed that not a single person had seen him. the skirts of her dress tangled in her legs as she was stepping down the gilded staircase and moved swiftly down the halls. Her haired had come loose, the pins falling to the ground and lost. Finding Loki was at the forefront of her mind, but she never did.
Finally, she found a back corner in the library, tucked into the alcove of a window with the curtain drawn, blocking her from the world. That was when she finally broke down into the tears that had been threatening to take over all night. She leaned her shoulder against the window and silently let them slide down her cheeks. Their relationship hadn't been the smoothest, but she had thought they could work through it. The picnic had been a way to spend some time together. He must have already been told the rumors since he had acted so coldly before she even got the chance to ask. Loki's words echoed in her head from that day. 'If you do not wish to remain at my side than say so.' Is she ever found the idiot who told Loki the ridiculous story of her hooking up with Thor, she'd personally strangle them. "Loki's an idiot too. For not believing me or even asking." She whispered, the hurt bubbling up again at his name as the tears welled in her eyes and flowed down her cheeks. She curled up tighter and leaned her head against the cool glass of the window. The soft moonlight flooding over her as she cried at her own hopelessness. She wanted to go back to her world, before she met Loki. To be a child again with her brother and Grandfather and not a car in the world. Nothing to worry about except if it would rain that day and ruin their fun. "I wish you were here, Magni. I can't do this alone anymore."
