"Ammie sweetie, come into mummy and daddy's bedroom!" River called. Amelia came in and pulled herself on to the bed, where River was sitting. The Doctor sat cross legged next to his daughter. "Ammie you know that when you were a baby you lived in mummy's tummy" the Doctor said slowly. Amelia nodded "Well there's another baby inside mummy's tummy now" the Doctor explained.
"I'm going to have a baby" River smiled "Sweetie you're going to be a big sister"
"There's a baby in your tummy?" Amelia asked. River smiled and nodded "Look sweetie" she pulled out a children's book about pregnancy, she flipped to the page with the pictures of foetuses. Amelia was captivated and studied the page. The Doctor and River looked at each other over their daughter's head and let out a sigh of relief. River looked at her daughter, who was happily flipping through her book, now she had told her; she had to keep the baby. There was no way she could tell her about the baby and then have it disappear. Amelia looked at River beaming, River smiled reassuringly back.
Ok I'm off to Barcelona tomorrow but I'll be doing lots of writing on the coach. See you in a week!
