Something More chapter 36

Eddie picked up Aiden and signaled Loren to take Mel to the other room for privacy. Loren did just that, she hugged her friend and they walked into the living room area.

"Mel what's wrong? Is Ian ok?"

"Lo I was at the Dr.'s, I didn't want to say anything until I was sure, I'm 8 weeks pregnant, and the Dr. says he distinctively heard more than one heart beat."

"Are you serious? Is he going to do an ultrasound?"

"What am I going to do? Yes he's going to schedule one."

"Mel you'll do nothing, you'll tell Ian and you both will enjoy this part of your life, babies are a lot of work but right now I'm enjoying Aiden so much."

"You have only one Lo, I might be having two, things like this would only happen to me! Mighty Mel!"

Loren laughed as she brought Mel into another tight hug. "You're going to be amazing, come join us for breakfast, I'll go with you when you have the ultrasound done, then you can surprise Ian with the news."

"If he doesn't run from me!"

"He will do no such thing; he's going to love you even more."

A few days later Loren was with Mel for her ultrasound and yes it was confirmed, Mel and Ian were going to have twins!

Loren and Eddie were off to Texas for a few months. They did several weekend shows and they always sold out.

Eddie knew with Loren by his side he would follow in his parent's foot-steps. They were on top pf the world; motherhood had not stopped Loren from becoming a superstar rock star.

Upon her return she was with Mel again, she was going to find out the sex of the babies.

"Why isn't Ian here for this?"

"He knows I'm pregnant, he doesn't know they're twins."

Loren was shocked and yet not surprised. "You didn't tell him?"

"No maybe if their two boys he will be thrilled!"

The technician came into the room. "Are you ready Mrs. Mitchell?"

"As ready as I'll ever be."

She started the ultrasound putting the jelly like substance on Mel's abdomen.

"Ok let's hope we can see the sex of these babies."

The technician moved the probe to see if she could tell if they were boys or girls.

"Well I see one girl, let's try the other baby."

Mel kept her eyes on the screen. "Could it be a boy?"

"It could be, uhhh I see another girl, you're having two girls!"

Mel was quiet. Loren couldn't believe it would take the news of twin baby girls to get Mel to finally stay silent.

"You ok?"

Mel just looked at her. "Two girls Lo, how can I handle two girls?"

"Ok we are going home right now and you will tell Ian!"

"It's easy for you to say, you only had one!"

Loren waited for Mel to get dressed. "Ok we are going to see Ian."

"Wait..right now? What about Aiden?"

"He's with Katy and Max today, let's go Mel."

Before they got into the car Loren texted Eddie her plans, he texted her back he would meet her at Mel and Ian's place.

They got into Loren's car and they drove to Mel's.

Eddie was waiting when they arrived. "So what happened?"

Loren rolled her eyes. "You and I know Mel is having twins."

"Yeah and?"

"Apparently Ian doesn't know they're twins, and today we found out both babies are girls."

Eddie couldn't help but let out a sarcastic laugh. "You're kidding right Mel?"

"I can't seem to tell him we're having two babies."

Loren crossed her arms. "Mel he has to know, do you want to give him a heart attack in the delivery room?"

"By then he won't skip town on me!"

Eddie couldn't stop laughing. "What makes you think he'll run off on you?"

"Ian is special Eddie, he has me to deal with, imagine two more like me?"

"He's going to love them as much as he loves you, come on; Loren and I will be with you when you break the news to him."

They all walked into Mel's place. They found Ian asleep in the couch. Mel bit her lower lip.

"Look at him, so peaceful and happy, his world is about to change."

Loren smiled as she made eye contact with Eddie. She walked closer to him and whispered. "How would you feel if that were me with the news of twins?"

Eddie smiled. "I would be elated!"

"See Mel. That will be Ian too."

Ian finally woke up to find all three looking at him. "How long have you three been standing there?"

"Long enough to see you drooling." Eddie smirked.

"Hey I don't drool!"

Loren was the first to speak. "Ian can you sit up please? Mel has something to share with you."

"Oh she does?" He looked at her; her baby bump was very noticeable and seemed bigger each day, she was barely 5 months along.

Mel smiled. "I went to get an Ultrasound today."

He stood up. "Oh and why wasn't I included?"

Loren held Eddie's hand and they walked away. "No Lo I need you and Eddie to stay!"

They stopped. "Are you sure? We could wait in the kitchen?"

"No! You made me come here and tell him and now you both will stay."

Ian seemed confused. "Ok you two, what's going on? Is the baby ok?"

"Yes Ian the babies are ok!"

"Oh well then…what did you just say babies?"

Mel closed her eyes and shrugged her shoulders; she suddenly felt all of this warmth rush all over her body.

"Yes we are having twins and they're both girls!"

"Mel are you sure? This is amazing!"

He hugged her and started to kiss her, Loren and Eddie walked out quietly, they both knew there would be some sort of celebration going on.

They walked back to their cars. "Don't you ever keep anything like that from me."

Loren leaned in on him. "I would never do such a thing." She kissed and teasing him.

"Wait how could you do and not expect me to react.

Loren bit her lower lip. "First one home prepares a bubbly bath." She winked at him.

"Hey you're on babe!"

They got into their cars and safely raced home. ( Readers..noticed I said it was done in a safely!)

Eddie got home first, rushed in and ran into their master bathroom.

Loren trailed behind him.

"Ok Mrs. Duran, I won so I get to set the rules."

"Oh really?"

"Yes I pick the aroma we will use and you have to be the first one in, oh and I get to see you undress."

Loren blushed. Eddie smiled. "Are you still blushing?"

"I think I will always blush when it comes to you Eddie, I love you."

She leaned in to place a seductive kiss on his neck. "You ready?"

"Ahhh oh yeah!"

Within minutes they both shared a lovely bath together that later lead to their bedroom. Time flew by so fast they were awoken by the doorbell.

Eddie got up putting on his robe. "Someone is at the door."

To their surprise it was Katy and Max holding Aiden. "I think you both forgot about your son."

Loren hid behind Eddie tying her robe. "Sorry we got sort of busy and …"

Max smiled as he looked at Eddie. "No need to explain, we don't mind having Aiden with us but we ran out of his food."

Katy walked in. "Ok you two, we will get his food and leave and you two can resume whatever it was you were doing."

"Mom!"

Katy rolled her eyes. "Oh honey please, your son is almost a year old, he doesn't know what I mean!"

Loren smiled. "Now look who's blushing?"

Loren and Eddie continued to tour leaving for Europe for several months, as soon as they returned Mel gave birth to her daughters. Two healthy beautiful girls they named "Isabella and Yasmin."

"Mel they're beautiful girls."

Ian couldn't stop looking at them. " I'm going to be a busy daddy with two beautiful girls too look after!"

"And why is that?"
"There will be no dating for these two! Oh and keep Aiden away from them."

Loren laughed. "Oh my goodness, Ian they're a few hours old and you're already talking about dating?"

"Yes especially around your son, have you seen him flirt with any girl that crosses his path? He's a true Duran for sure; he's not allowed to look at my girls ever!"
Eddie laughed. "You're kidding right?"

"No I'm very serious mate; wait until you have a daughter, then you'll know what I mean!"

Eddie walked to where Loren stood holding one of the girls. Eddie tugged her softly.

"Well Loren and I have to get going; we will see you guys later."

Loren leaned in to hug Mel. "If you need anything, call me."

"I will Lo, and thank you both for the gifts."

"Love you Mel!"

As soon as they stepped outside Eddie carried Loren. "Eddie put me down!"

"No Mrs. Duran, I made arrangements to have Nora stay at the house with Aiden, it's our night tonight!"

"Eddie what are you saying?"

"We're off to a weekend all by ourselves!"

"Really?"

"Yes, I told Jake and Kelly no more touring for a while, we'll do some local concerts, my third album is about to drop, so we are set to enjoy our son for a while."

Loren smiled. "Ok then I'm all yours!"

"Watch what you say babe, I may take you up on that!"

Loren leaned in to kiss him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and he deepened the kiss. A few hours later they were at the coziest Inn Eddie found that was very private.

They spend two amazing nights together, Eddie never wasted time, he loved cuddling in bed with Loren and waking up with Loren tightly nuzzled beside him.

Nine months after that amazing weekend, Loren had a beautiful baby girl they named Sofia. She smiled as she saw Eddie holding her and trying to help Aiden hold her as well.

"Aiden this is Sofia your little sister."

Aiden smiled, he was 2 years old. He leaned in to kiss her on the forehead. "She's Sofia Daddy?"

Eddie walked over to where Loren sat. "She's as beautiful as you are babe." He kissed her softly.

Loren pulled away. "Listen we got into trouble last time, no kissing." Loren smiled.

"Trouble? Why would you say that? We have this amazing Baby girl!" he kissed her softly on the forehead.

"I know, but that was an unexpected surprise."

"Why? We made her with as much love as we did Aiden."

Loren blushed. "You're too much Eddie Duran."

"And you're stuck with me Loren; I hope you're ready to take on this amazing journey with me?"

"Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way, I love you more than I could have ever imagined."

"Well we're on the same page then, get ready, because you're all I will ever need to feel complete babe!"

Loren held his face and kissed him softly.

"Oh and I agree with Ian now."

"Oh now you do?" Loren laughed.

"Yes, no guy is allowed next to my princess."

Eddie snuggled beside her and Aiden climbed on top of them and sat on Eddie's lap, Sofia laid on Eddie's other side. Loren turned to see Katy and Max walking in along with her mom Nora, was there something more she would need out of life?

She bit her lower lip and realized, all she needed was right in front of her. And that was exactly all she ever wanted.
