Warning Saga: Part One
Chapter Thirty Six: Frieza's Return
Capsule Corps HQ...
Vegeta had just finished an intense training session in the Gravity Room and he had went to the showers. The steamy water calmed his frayed nerves having been pushed near their limit in the two hundred gravity he implied inside the Gravity Chamber. His closed eyes jolted open as two huge energy levels slammed into his mind. The ki signature's were all to familiar to the prince.
'Frieza,' he grabbed his towel and quickly dried himself. He exited the shower room but when he reached for his armor it wasn't there. The drawers of the dresser were empty not even a remodeled variant of his first armor was there.
"WOMAN WHERE IS MY BATTLE ARMOR!" his demanding tone echoed throughout the entire done-shaped building. Even though Bulma was on the shared terrace that the rooms on that side of the building had.
"Did you ever think I had to wash it?" she sipped her drink, a smooth aged brandy that she tended to have at lunch every once in a while."I laid out some of Yamcha's clothes on the bed since he's about your size," her boyfriend frowned at her.
"Why the hell did you decide to wash my battle armor?!" his voice was slightly less loud as he punched through the dresser angrily.
"Because it gets dirty," Bulma yelled back taking a sip from her glass. Beside her Yamcha fell to his knees holding his head as a splitting pain rocked through his entire body.
"N-no way," Yamcha muttered in a stun, his muscles twitching in fear.
"What's wrong Yamcha?" the blue haired genius looked down at her boyfriend.
"Frieza's coming toward Earth," he grimaced. The bandit from the Diablo Desert had sensed a second power level inside the craft along side Frieza." And he has someone with him just as strong," the human opened up his capsule containing his uniform changing near instantly into the red-orange dogi he received from the old Turtle Hermit Roshi.
"Yamcha," Bulma seemed shocked as her boyfriend stretched.
'Everyone can feel that, we have to stop Frieza,' Yamcha swallowed his chest tightening.
"What do you this you are doing? It's Frieza and Goku's not here!"
"I am going to help Bulma, we can't just let Frieza come to the Earth unabated," the scarred former bandit commented clenching his hands.
"Pink!" Vegeta's voice froze Yamcha in his confident tracks.
Footsteps rattled through the house, Vegeta's outline becoming clear in the adjacent room." PINK! What type of person wears pink!" Vegeta stormed out in a white tank topped T-shirt on and the pink 'Badman' button up in his right hand.
"This shirt is yours isn't it?" Vegeta growled leering at Yamcha. He threw the shirt at the reformed bandit before walking up toward him." You expect the Prince of all Saiyans to wear pink?" he asked gruffly the petite Bulma standing up with a grin on her face.
"Well, if you want to kill Frieza wouldn't it be a big blow to his ego if you did it wearing a pink shirt?" the genius tried to hold back a smile. After a year lodging with the prince she began to realize that he wasn't as tough as he led on." Think about it, Vegeta," the heiress said calmly.
Vegeta mumbled as he took the shirt off of Yamcha's shoulder and threw it across his back. The prince quietly launched off of the terrace, ready to be followed by Yamcha.
"Be careful Yamcha I don't want you to get hurt," she kissed the on-and-off boyfriend she loved or hated depending on their relationship status.
"I will babe don't worry, I've gotten a lot stronger since Namek, it'll be a piece of cake," he said boldly causing his girlfriend to smile. Internally however he was petrified, the fact that Goku wasn't there to beat Frieza and his passengers made him uncomfortable.' Gulp, I've gotta do it. Without Goku our chances are going to be pretty slim, anyway,' he mused to himself before tensing.
Below the terrace...
Turles pulled his gauntlets over his hand, purple ki sparked around him chattering the inside of the ship he was currently using as a Gravity Chamber.' Oh how I've waited for this Frieza,' the former Crusher Corps. leader smiled cruelly.
He looked at the scars that had been blasted through him over a year ago, a cruel reminder of his failure.' You die by my hands, and I'll then show Raditz and the others while Turles the Conqueror is not to be overlooked and treated like a dog,' cold dark thoughts appeared in the cruel Saiyan's mind, his arms bulging with latent power.
From there the door to the ship was lowered and he vanished in a blazing purple bullet.
Northern Mountains...
Raditz was floating in front of a glacier he had fired an attack into sweat dampening his skin. An energy field shot around him as his power shot higher and higher. The ice in the glacier slowly fractured as he kept pushing veins beginning the twitch just beneath his skin the blood flow becoming larger through those areas. The long haired Saiyan kept pushing the glistening sweat over his body gaining another sheet of moisture.
The oldest son of Bardock ground his teeth together trying to break through the wall that had given him so much trouble over the past year. Bioelectric pulses flew off of his aura but his power was staying level at its maximum the inability ot become a Super Saiyan still lingering. Angered he threw a punch that shattered the large icy wall in front of him drilling into the mountain behind.
The struggle of not being the stronger brother had plagued him since he had lost to Kakarot a little over two years ago. No matter what he tried from meditation to fully powering up he just couldn't find the need to transform beyond his base form. The grind of being the second or even third strongest at any given time made him angry.
He was ready to fire off a massive ki attack when it hit him like a ton of bricks. The all to familiar ki, the same ki that had not only killed his brother Turles but his nephew Gohan. Frieza was heading toward the Earth and he knew it but this second passenger that was just about equal in terms of ki to Frieza scared him even more. Who was it? Why did he come to Earth with Frieza?
"Gah, damn it!" the mountain rumbled as his full ki released.
'Kakarot I sure hope you're coming home because we need a Super Saiyan right about now,' he sighed internally before turning and flying off at high speed toward the area he guessed the ship would land.
Kame House...Same Time
Krillin was avoiding a duplicate of himself both at five times Kaioken. Their twin kicks met hard in the middle blowing sand and debris through the air. The real Krillin threw a punch into his multiform's left cheek blowing him through a palm tree on the side of the pink Kame House. Wiping his brow the human dropped the powerful technique known as the Kaioken.
His duplicate burst into smoke as he headed back toward the Kame House. His legs buckled when the energy hit him both powerful kis meeting his senses at once. A quiver hit his hand. Krillin knew that he needed to get out there stat to help anyway possible but first he needed to contact Gohan all hands needed to be ready. As he walked in the door the phone rang.
"Kame House who's calling?" the former monk answered the phone with his usual wit.
'Krillin it's Gohan,' the half-bred Saiyan started allowing the words to sink in. The Turtle School graduate was surprised that the boy Frieza had killed was calling him at such a dire time.'You sensed Frieza's energy and that other guy's right?' the boy's shaky voice rang through.
"Of course I was heading that way now," the bald warrior said into the phone seriously.
"Krillin who is it?" Roshi's old perverted voice carried down the stairs.
"It's Gohan!" he yelled back up the stairs as he toned down the loud television from the hermit's room.
'Wait I'll head down to the Kame House and we'll leave together,' the spiky haired Saiyan's tone was happier now but still it carried a seemingly morbid under tone.
"All right see you soon kiddo," both phones hung up as Krillin grabbed his fresh dogi top off of the end of the chair.
"Where ya going Krillin?" the innocent sweet tone of blue haired Launch came from the kitchen.
"Well Frieza's coming here on Earth I'm going to stop him or at least hold him off until Goku gets back here," he headed out the screen door the goodhearted goodbye coming from Launch.' I sure hope you get back here quickly Goku, if you're coming back,' the monk said as Gohan touched down.
Each nodded at the other taking to the sky a minute later ready for the fight of their lives.
Space...
A large disk-shaped ship flew ever so closer to Earth much like a saucer being pushed across a table. The yellow bulb windows gave away its origin as a Planet Trade Organization yacht used to carry around Frieza and his higher ranking soldiers.
The cockpit had a throne placed in the center. A single white-pink hand was resting on the left armrest the soothing red velvet slowly relaxing the muscles in his forearms. In his right hand, sat a glass filled with well-aged smooth wine of a dark red-purple color. The being lifted the glass to his mouth taking a sip his curled black lips curling more into a grin.
"My what a beautiful planet," the garnet eyes of the now identifiable Arcosian widened in delight of the Blue Planet."Frieza what's this planet's name? E-Arth? Ee-Arth? Any how we should kill all of the inhabitants and sell this planet for a good fortune," the Arcosian casually talked to the tyrant.
A series of mechanical buzzes came from the back of the massive room as soldiers scurried about. Slowly the clicking of the metal feet grew louder as Frieza came closer to the throne his body still shrouded in the darkness of the room while the larger Arcosian took a sip.
"Father we came here to kill that blasted Super Saiyan and his friends. We are going to destroy this planet and its name is Earth!" the tail slammed into the tiles shattering them." Have you forgotten what he had done to me?" the hiss of the presumed dead alien made the soldiers stand at attention.
"Then why is there an 'A' it the name if it's name is Earth?" this King of Arcos asked.
"You never answered my second question!" the stubborn tyrant growled angrily.
"You're right I should have answered your question. No, I have not forgotten what that ape did to my precious son," the king sighed knowing that the planet would sell for a small fortune." Though if this were Cooler, he would have realized the value of such an interesting and beautiful planet."
"Father, can you please focus? This is no time to compare me to that ingrate of a brother," Frieza spat coldly, no love lost between he and his sibling.
"Yes, yes, destroy the Earth, very well Frieza," Cold sighed continuing to sip his fine wine.
"Good now we should be close to landing and revenge will be mine!" he cackled with his head held back the mechanical red eye on the right side of his face glowing.
"King Cold, Lord Frieza we are drawing closer to Earth," one of the pilots bowed humbly but for that he was executed for irritating the Frost Demon that was damaged on Namek.
"That was uncalled for," King Cold laughed as another troop dragged the body away.
"Call it a motivation method," the mechanical alien smiled as his father finished his glass of wine.
The heroes of Earth flew from nearly all directions drawing closer to the barren Gizzard Wasteland. Saiyans, Nameks, Humans all united ready to take down this threat to further their own agendas.
Vegeta touched down first his unbuttoned pink top flapping in the passing gust. The location he landed at was actually a half mile away from the area he approximated the ship would land on. The spikes of hair atop his head shifted as Yamcha touched down behind him. The Saiyan prince turned angrily to the human believing Yamcha would try to claim victory for himself.
"Don't die weakling," the prince arrogantly sneered. Vegeta like most royals saw himself above the general population of the planet around him however he could tolerate these weaklings in small sizes."After dying against Recoome I don't possibly see how you'd be of any use to myself, a Super Saiyan," he laughed thinking of how weak the goofball member of the Ginyu Force was compared to his current power level.
"Super Saiyan?" the bandit inquired." I haven't sensed that much of an energy increase, you've got to be bluffing," the scarred warrior shot back.
The spiky haired Saiyan prince growled under his breath incoherently as Turles touched down. The twin brother of Goku was wearing a similar jumpsuit to the elite armor of Frieza's army except that it had shortened sleeves and the coloration was dark gray rather than a navy blue or pitch black. Above that he was wearing a purple accented white-gray chest piece that had the Capsule Corps logo on the right side of his chest after being made by Bulma.
"Both of you fools you cool down I'm the true Super Saiyan and I'll prove it by killing that oversized lizard, Frieza," Turles said maliciously angered by his own inability to defeat the Frost Demon a little over a year ago.
"Sure low-class I guess you're a Super Saiyan?" Vegeta scoffed, he doubted the claim because of Turles' ranking in Saiyan society.
"You have no rule over me princess, I will be glad to show you my Super Saiyan power," the twin of Goku hissed his features narrowing on the Elite.
"Really, everyone's a Super Saiyan?" Raditz touched down behind the others his armor torn and the cloak above it shredded." That accolade is far from something a talk show host would give away," that caught the pairs' attention as the turned to see the maned Saiyan descended to the ground.
"You have to earn that transformation and none of us have, not yet anyway," this comment made both his brother and the Saiyan Prince turn toward him angrily.
Vegeta chuckled." Tch, shut your mouth clown."
"You have no right to act high and mighty," Turles added.
"I am far stronger than you are Turles. I will put you down if you want to put money where you mouth is," Raditz jabbed verbally catching the Elite's attention while continuing to infuriate his brother.
'He is right, how did that low-class catch up to me again?' Vegeta grumbled looking back at Raditz's smug stare.
However a cheery tone would soon arrive.
Young Gohan landed quietly on the dusty canyon floor his orange gi and weighted undershirt reminiscent of his father's. The now seven year old was happy to see both of his uncles after being practically locked away from training to study which he was oddly okay. However, sneaking out of his bedroom window probably wasn't the best way to get to the wasteland because Chi-Chi wouldn't appreciate it.
"Hey uncle Raditz," Son Gohan waved jollily as his uncle smiled. The boy ran over his blue boots clicking up dirt as he drew closer to his uncle." I really shouldn't be too surprised considering everyone should've sensed Frieza's power," the rather educated young man realized nervously.
"Oh look it's Kakarot's brat. What's next the two bald ones or the Namek? When does this charade stop?" Vegeta screamed. He strongly disliked these weaklings ruining his chance to beat Frieza by just being there as distractions.
"Hey Gohan you could have slowed down," Krillin landed panting heavily. The bald student of the Turtle Hermit was tired for using both the Kaioken in his sparring session as well as chasing Gohan a few moments later.
"Er," Vegeta growled, lowly. His point had been validated completely.
"Where's Tien and Piccolo?" the small human asked.
"I've been here the whole time," Piccolo's voice carried from the top of a plateau a few dozen yards across the way."We can't charge in it would be impossible even if we did fight through all of the troops we'd be too tired and killed without effort," the Namekian made sense but the calculating mind of the Saiyan prince was ahead of him trying to come up with a strategy that would work.
Tien touched down last his black martial arts boots leaving a slight imprint in the dusty floor. He seemed ot be bracing against an invisible force but if one were to pay attention they would see the large weights tucked all around his robe and wrist bands. The triclops stepped forward next to Krillin his green pants contrasting the smaller warrior's orange.
"So, we wait then," he was apprehensive about responding to Piccolo knowing the Namekian was lean and strong. His mind was also on Chiatzu, his long time friend and sparring partner. The tall human was worried about his safety if they had failed in the battle to come how the white doll-like warrior would fair against Frieza or his accomplice." Unless of course you have any better plans," he was talking to the group.
"No, I don't think we do," Yamcha was grave as the hum of the ship began to vibrate the air. The scar-faced bandit began to worry that the Earth would not be able to hold off the forces of Frieza long enough for Goku to come back and fight off Frieza." Do ya think we can distract Frieza long enough for Goku to return back here to Earth?" he asked genuinely.
"Sadly no," the maned elder brother of Son Goku started looking to the sky." Yardrat is four light-years due east at its closest," his eyes trailed to the eastern side of the valley." The pods travel roughly a quarter of a light-year per hour at maximum speed. The star cycle there is only slightly different than Earth's ideally he left six hours ago giving us two hours if he's moving at the top speed of the given craft," the Saiyan's intelligence made Yamcha take a step back he thought Saiyans were all muscle and no brain but obviously he was wrong.
"How do you know that?" Yamcha asked the once scolded and taunted Saiyan." I mean about the space pods and the planet's location," he gasped as Vegeta laughed.
"Anyone who knows how to read a galactic map could tell you where Yardrat was, its in the solar system to Namek's right side," the prince of the lost race began to crack a smile and giggle." But Raditz knows the maximum output of the pod because of all the missions he failed and had to escape from at the highest speed," the pink shirted Saiyan crossed his arms once more his style of humor not like the others.
"Do not go there Vegeta. You know the speed specifications as the rest of us. I just happened to beat a tactical retreat more often than most.," the long-haired warrior was comforted by Gohan's left hand a light pat to his back making him smile slightly.
"And onto your point Yamcha, we couldn't distract Frieza that long. It doesn't matter we'd have to all fly in different directions to keep him at bay but nothing is guaranteeing he won't blow Earth up like he did Namek," Raditz sighed.
"Um, all right let's get ready for a big fight then," Yamcha gulped heavily. The air vibrated as the massive saucer-like craft cut through the sky heading toward the flat land just over the Gizzard Ridge just in front of them.
"Yes, Yamcha we'll need to be ready," Tien and Krillin said together preparing to take on the tyrant and his crew.
The craft touched down gently on the ground barely stirring any dust or even breaking the ground beneath its massive weight. The pneumatic hatch hissed as the flatted door dropped toward the ground. It slightly dug in becoming more firm as a dozen or so troops filled out lining the ramp saluting the exiting aliens.
Frieza marched out first the light finally touching his skin. The battle on Namek hadn't been kind to him leaving him with out legs or an arm, as a make up for this mishap metallic prostheses had been implemented into the organic components of his body. His chest was partially covered with a ceramic-coated titanium plating, that was marked with wire ports probably used as ports to restart the slowed heart rate Frieza had used in space.
The cyborg Arcosian had a long metallic tail covered in patches of the chest plates most of his men would have worn. His legs were pure titanium with slight wiring copper and iron.
Moving up to Frieza's face, one could see that his eye had been lost in the explosion of Namek as an iron-titanium dome covered the left side of his face. A red false eye had to be implemented into his brain allowing him to see through it like a regular eye but with the added thermal imaging effect if he so thought about it. His hand clenched the metal whirring as he looked down at it.
The Frost Demon Prince was followed by the Arcosian King. Cold was as tall as Frieza's second form with nearly the same features barring the slightly darker purple bio-gem that sat between his upright horns. The lizard-like alien wore armor of the highest elites with a crimson cape flowing behind it elegantly. He grinned with a curl in his lips.
"Troops spread out!" Frieza ordered as the rest flew from the inside of the ship.
'Shink!' a blinding gleam flashed the sunlight.
'Slash!' a squishy cutting sound.
'Shick!' a blade slowly sliding back into its holster.
A tall young man stood in the middle of the circle of troops. He had silver-purple hair almost lavender if you will cut in the shape of an upside down bowl. His right hand was holding the hilt of the large sword sitting just outside of its sheath. He had righteous blue eyes that seemingly had seen to many deaths for his young age. He was wearing a blue denim jacket with the Capsule Corporation logo on the right sleeve, though it was faded. The black gi pants made the color seem more vibrant but it still was rather pale.
"So, you're Frieza, huh?" the teen asked dropping his blade finally into its holster. The troops around him as well as most those around the Arcosians fell blood spewing from their bisected bodies." I expected a little bit more," he laughed jollily before regaining a serious composure.
"Iru read this backwater trash's power level. How dare you talk to my son in that manner?" King Cold, the King of Arcos yelled to his elite.
"Sire his power level is a mere five he must have gotten lucky with that sword of his," the green fish-like alien smiled believing his could take out this mystery man." I will be glad to dispose of him for you!"
"Oh, do. I would like to see him squirm," cold and sadistic Frieza grinned looking at the lavender haired youth.
Iru fired off a barrage of quick energy bolts but they were thrown into the air exploding harmlessly." You'll pay for that!" he dashed forward.
'Boom!' swiftly his was flung forward with a forearm shot, blowing two other troops into the large spider-like legs of the craft his body shattered with the others.
"Now, I'm here to kill both of you understand," the lavender haired teenager stated boldly.
"Sure you are I suppose you'll humor me human. I love this false backwater bravado you have," this Mecha-Frieza laughed.
"We'll see who is humoring who in a moment," he crouched into a charging stance his blue aura flying into the air.
Who is this mystery Human? Is he even a Human? Why is he wearing a Capsule Corps Jacket? Is he some kind of failed experiment? Why is he going to fight Frieza when no one else will?
