CHAPTER 36

The fact that Sakura is stuck in a guest room helping her mother get dress in a changing room made her wish that her mother would call in a nurse to take care of her at home. Well, Naruto's home. But no. Sakura is basically her mother's aid until the woman is treated, stronger and healthy legs and bones. Sakura sulked.

"Button me up dear." Poor mother of hers' fingers were still weak and couldn't barely stay still. The doctors aware about some medicine that will make her system a bit drowsy so she won't fracture herself. So far so good. The woman discharged from the hospital a few days ago. Naruto welcome her with open doors and rooms. He couldn't let his girlfriend's mother stay in some crummy expensive motel or hotel. Mebuki gladly took his offer.

Sakura reached for the buttons and did them top to bottom. Her green youthful eyes stared up at the older ones that resembles her. The blonde woman frowned. She cupped her child's cheek and rubbed its warmth with her palm. Mebuki never expect for Sakura's help at this age. The face Sakura expressed hurts her deeply. Mebuki regret

"Sakura sweetie. Thank you." She leaned to place a kiss on Sakura's forehead. The said girl nodded and smiled back.

"When will you recover fully?" She hugged her mother. Mebuki rolled her eyes.

"Am I that bad to be taken care of?" Asked Mebuki. Sakura looked at her mother like she was crazy and nodded her head. Mebuki nudged her out the changing room and gathered the clothes she wanted. The two reached the cash register and paid for the clothes.

"Well, I'll be going back to work anytime soon." Sakura gasped. Mebuki is a banker. Assistant manager at the front desk of Leaf Bank. Out the door, the two walked through the parking lot.

"Are you sure, mom?" She watched the woman walking with her cane in her hand. Mebuki smiled.

"I'm not dying Sakura. Jeez."

"Welcome back." Naruto yelled from the kitchen. Mebuki and Sakura walked in the house, taking off their shoes. Sakura gathered all the bags and placed in the living room to meet up Naruto who was making lunch in the kitchen.

"Hey you!" Sakura ran up behind the man and hugged him on his side. Pressing her face on his chest to hear is heart beat gave her peace. Sakura looked up and smiled with her eyes and lips at Naruto. Naruto leans down rubbing his nose on her forehead. Giggles came out between the two and they shared a short kiss.

"Excuse me." Mebuki coughed. Still, she feels awkward that her only daughter is busy dating an older man. Sure she's thankful for Naruto keeping them safe and sheltered but seeing her daughter in this lovey dovey state is funny but weird.

Sakura pouted. Hers flopped on her sides yet she stood close to Naruto's side. There's no telling anything to Sakura about her relationship. Mebuki sat down on a chair and admired the two bickering and laughing it out.

Funny to say, she loves seeing this side of Sakura. It had been so long since she seen Sakura wore anything girly. Sort of. The pink haired teen wore her yoga plants and a small fitted hoodie. Hair pulled up into a small high messy bun. The shortness of her back hair springs out here and there.

"Naruto! Don't be so mean." Her hip bumped the tall man who was laughing a roar. He turned off the stove and turned his attention on his girl.

"He asked me to come with him as his body guard. Slick back hair and a suit and tie. I love my brother but I rather not get caught up into daddy's temper." Naruto leaned on the counter. Sakura rested herself on Naruto.

"Is it a good idea for him?" Sakura asked. Naruto shrugged his shoulders.

"I don't know. Whenever he wants something, he somehow gets his way." Naruto said. He pushed her back a bit ant set the table and placed the pot of soup on the table.

In the Hyuga residence, Neji opened the door for his lovely friend who waited outside of his place. The brunette girl walked pass the open door and removed her shoes. After that, Neji lead her to the dining room where they sit and eat. The girl beside him wasn't at her best stage. He could tell by her fidgeting fingers under her calm palm that she was nervous.

Neji bended down to her ear and whispered.

"Everything going to be alright." He told her. Tenten's brown eyes looked into his to see any lies behind them. The smile on his face calmed her nerves. Deeply, she sucked in a breath and continued walking towards the room.

The dinner room sat Neji's father. Hyuga Hizashi, younger sibling of Hyuga Hiashi. Strong face of his resembled Neji's so much but Neji has a bit of softness in his feature. His hair was long and neat as his son. And piercing tinted gray eyes like every Hyuga. Tenten kept looking between the two. She almost chuckled because he favors his father so much to her.

Hizashi eyes snapped on them. Tenten gulped. He eyed her up and down. Scanning her appearance for any bad aspects of her.

"Is she the reason why you want to move out?" He ripped his eyes off Tenten to Neji. Neji pulled Tenten down carefully beside him. They sat across Hizashi.

"Yes."

"And why is that? You're accepted to a great college. Earned a job a few months ago without telling me but mentioned how you want to live outside the compound. What is going on? Is she…" His eyes lowered to her belly. Neji blocked his view with his arm and nodded his head. He stared at his father hard eyes.

"I'm not asking anything from you. I'm just telling you my actions now than later." Neji spoked. Tenten held his arm. Securing his arm above her stomach. A wave hit goes through her body. She felt woozy.

"Hm." His father reached for the tea pot and poured tea in a mug. He pushed the mug towards Tenten. Tenten looked at Neji then his father. The father fanned his hand at her.

"Drink up. You must spoil my grandchild." He poured himself a cup and drank it. Surprisingly, Hizashi didn't beat Neji up. Neji was nervous that he was secretly waiting for his father shouts and punches. But his old man turned to the other route.

"What made you two decide on keeping the child?" Tenten and Neji looked at each other. Neji smiled.

"We paid for the ride so why not."

"Neji, that was so lame." The two cracked up. Hizashi sighs. He understood what his son meant. He only wish for his son happiness and will be there for him no matter what.
