Chapter 32: Quest ~The Confused Protagonist~

And so, my quest to save Lala-senpai and the others and defeat the cruel king, Rito, began. Wow, it's slowly turning into a children's fairytale. I stood in front of the gates of the king's palace. On the other side of the gate stood a man in a skeleton-like armor. It was Zastin. I asked him to open the gates and let me in, but he didn't respond and just stood still. Then I noticed that the gate was unlocked. I entered through it no problem. Zastin just stood there like a statue, so I easily walked around him and entered the palace.

"Wow, that was easy."

From behind, I could hear Zastin, saying, "W-what am I doing outside? Wasn't I guarding his highness' throne?"

I immediately closed the door and proceeded. The hallway was pretty wide, it's almost as wide as a ballroom hall. There were armor statues standing beside the walls. They looked so realistic, it looked like one would move and surprise me from behind. That's exactly what happened. An armor moved and surprised me from behind. I leapt forward and looked back. The armor took off its helmet, revealing... Ren.

"Ren?! What the heck was that for?!"

"H-How do you know my name?!" he asked.

"I just do, okay! Anyway, I gotta go."

Then as I took a step forward, he grabbed my sleeve and pulled me back.

"W-what the heck?! Let go!"

"No!" he replied, "I won't let you get to King Rito!"

Then as he was pulling me, I noticed my sleeve about to tear apart. I took that opportunity to escape. I pointed at his back and said:

"Hey, is that Lala?!"

"Where?!" he responded as he turned around to check. Then I tore off my sleeve and ran away.

"Hey! Get back here!" he shouted.

"Hey look! It's Lala!"

"Where?! He said as he turned around again.

That was hilarious, it worked on him every time.

I made it at the end of the hall and saw a giant metal door. It's obvious that it was the throne room. As I was about to knock when the door suddenly opened by itself. Then right in front of me, I saw King Rito, seated on a large throne. His dark aura was overwhelming, and his stare was... Disturbing.

"Oh, it's you." he said upon seeing me.

"What kind of greeting is that?!"

"Quite feisty, aren't we?" he replied, accompanied by laughs, "But... How did you get in? Did the guards just let you in?"

"If by guards, you mean Zastin and Ren, then yes."

"Oh, those idiots...", he let out a sigh and continued, "So, what is your business here?"

"I request that you release Lala-senpai and the others!"

"Take them, I don't want them." he said.

He pressed a button from the handle of his throne and burst open the door on the right, freeing Lala-senpai and the girls. That was easy. On the way out Lala senpai stuck out her tongue at him as an insult; Haruna-senpai and Yui-senpai did the same thing; Momioka-senpai and Mio-senpai took the lead; Run and Kyouko spat on his highness' floor; Oshizu pointed at him and said, "Next time, I'll kill you for sure!", and; Nana and Yami-senpai walked out of the door shyly. Once they were out, I was relieved, but I suddenly realized something: Momo wasn't with them.

"Where's Momo?"

"Oh, you mean her?" He asked as a tentacle monster, carrying the unconscious Momo, appeared from behind Rito's throne.

"I've taken quite a liking to her." He said as he caressed her hair, "I think I'll keep her."

Enraged, I rushed out to Rito, but he pushed me away easily.

"Let her go!"

"Alright, I'll let her go..." He said, "...But first, you'll have to beat me!"

He took off his coat, revealing a half-naked Rito, wearing only a white underwear. He stood confidently and shouted, "Come at me!"

What the heck did he want me to do? Also, why would he confidently expose his skin in front of me? He was crazy! Then suddenly, I had this urge to do something horrible to him. I couldn't control it, my body was moving on its own. The next thing I knew, I was giving Rito a wedgie.

"H-hey! Stop! It hurts! Let me go!" He demanded.

"Haha! Look at you! You're a disgrace! Might as well kill you right here, right now!"

I couldn't move my body, it was as if someone else was in possession of it. I struggled, but I still couldn't move it voluntarily. It felt horrible. It felt dark. Then Ren and all of the VMC members came in from the door and saw me giving Rito a wedgie. At that time, I regained my consciousness.

"Your highness!" they shouted, "let us help you!"

They threw stones at me, but they missed their target and accidentally hit Rito. And just like that, King Rito was defeated. Ren and the others were shocked. They blamed and fought each other and fell on the floor afterwards, probably due to exhaustion.

"Phew, thank goodness, it's all over..."

I turned around to save Momo, and saw the tentacle monster groping every part of her body, from her breasts down to her between. She moaned as the tentacles played with her slender body, like a tongue licking ice cream... What am I saying?

"H-hey! Stop that! It's too lewd!"

Then Zastin came in and threw a stone at me, but it missed its target too and hit the tentacle monster instead. It let go of Momo and chased him instead.

"WHY AM I SO UNLUCKY?!" he shouted while running away from the monster.

The two were out of sight, leaving me and Momo alone. I woke her up and asked if she was alright.

"...Y-Yume... San...?" she faintly responded.

"Y-you're okay!"

Then she saw me carrying her and stood up immediately, "W-what did you do to me?!"

"N-nothing!"

She looked at her wet clothes (probably because the tentacles) and blushed. "W-w-wha...!"

"I-It wasn't me! Promise!"

Then she placed her finger on my lips and said, "Thank you for saving me, now here's your reward."

She suddenly changed her personality. My heart beat faster. She moved her lips slowly to mine, and as we were about to kiss...

I woke up, with Mea's lips almost touching mine. I pushed her away and scolded her.

"W-what were you- Why did you-"

"Master told me to dive into your subconscious." She said, "Did you have fun?"

I immediately pushed her out of my room and went back to bed.

"I was about to kiss her..."

I was confused. Back when I was about to kiss Momo in my dream, I thought of Mea. Then when I woke up and saw her, my heart beat faster. I realized that I was beginning to like her too.

As I was thinking of this, Mea called me and said, "I'll be waiting for you outside."

She left afterwards. Then Mikado called me and asked me for a favor, "Could you massage my back?"

It was one crazy dream, but for some reason, I didn't want it to end. It didn't matter anymore, though. I was just glad that everything was back to normal.

"Well, that was one strange dream..."

"Which reminds me... Yume-san, exams are coming up, right?"

"Yep!"

"Did you study?"

"Of course!"

"Are you ready?"

"Of course!"

"Are you excited?"

"Of course..."
