Chapter 35 - The Dark Gift
The next day...
The next day, I was at the hospital getting treatment for the more serious injuries I had received from the fight against Tid. While Vinyl took the kids there to get their annual check-up. Vinyl walked into the room where I was getting bandaged up in, and asked me "Can we talk?" I looked at the nurse and said "Can my wife and I have a moment?" The nurse nodded and left the room. After the door shut, I asked Vinyl "What is the verdict?" She sighed and said "Positive, also, the physician was shocked about something" Confused, I asked in reply "What could be stranger and more shocking than the fact that there is a physical manifestation of dark energy growing inside you?" Vinyl replied "It is growing at an alarming rate, they said the date has been cut by seven months" as I was standing up, Vinyl said "Don't, you'll pull your stitches" I held my hand out "I'm fine" the furiousness and rage inside of me instantly regenerated all of my wounds. I looked at Vinyl and said "So how long do you have?" She replied "Two months or less. There is always..." "No, not that. It is evil, but it am not planning to destroy it. Though at this rate, it could kill you too. I need to find a way for its safe removal" we both were silent for several minutes until Vinyl said "Let's ask the princesses" I nodded "I guess, but I have a strong hunch of what their opinion will be".
So we took the kids home, and then proceeded with haste to the council of princesses. Vinyl and I appeared in Canterlot before all of the princesses. I looked at all of them and said "Vinyl and I came before you to address a potentially serious issue. Vinyl is bearing the spawn of a shadow creature. The dark energy is advancing its growth by months" Celestia replied "Being that it is the spawn of a dark entity and an element, could make it a large threat to the safety of the country" Twilight continued "With that said it must be destroyed immediately..." I interrupted "But if the dark energy is destroyed it will kill the host as well!" Cadance then said "I am sorry to say, but it is her safety vs. Everyone else's" I started to motion that I was about to escape when Celestia said "Stop them!" Tid appeared in his fighting stance. I then simultaneously said "Not gonna happen. Mist, Slenderpony!" They appeared and stood in front of Vinyl and I, giving us an opening to escape.
I then called out "I call upon the dark forces, Nightmare Moon, I am ready to make a bargain" then a flash of lightning in broad daylight happened, followed by dark blue smoke enveloping Vinyl and I. We then disappeared from the room as we were transported from Canterlot to the location of Nightmare Moon. We arrived on a rugged mountain summit, the sky was black, the dark clouds circling in a spiral around the peak. I looked at the center of the summit up a short flight of steps to see a throne glowing a purple light, and on it sat none other than Nightmare Moon. We walked up to the steps, when Nightmare Moon said "So, you're here to make a bargain in exchange for the entity's removal" I nodded. Nightmare Moon continued speaking "I will remove it, but you will have to give something up in return... Let's say... Your ability to control your rage" I responded "If it is necessary, than I shall" Nightmare Moon laughed and said "The deal is struck!" Nightmare Moon then shot a wave of dark energy at Vinyl. Causing her to go through all of the stages within several seconds. The dark entity was then removed from her and given to changelings to be watched over. Vinyl passed out onto the ground from exhaustion, as Nightmare Moon said "Now to keep your end of the bargain" suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my head as one of the only things that allowed me to control the rage inside of me, was being taken from me. I looked at myself to see the cloak of black and green energy started to envelop my body. I winced in pain as the now uncontrollable power of rage started to take over me, it burned, like I was being thrown into a pit of acid. I kept screaming until it completely took over. My body had never undergone a complete takeover of rage before, this meant that I was now uncontrollable.
When it completely took over, my screams of pain turned into roars of power. My loud roars echoed throughout the land, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone in Equestria heard them. All that was going through my head was 'Who will, or can stop me now?'.
Me: This was short, but it is leading to what is to be the greatest fight of this story...
