Chapter 36: Griefing
Teresa's pov
Its been three months and there is no since of Ari. My heart feel's like its been ripped out of my chest. We are at home right now to feed the boys. Jagger looked so lost with out his twin sister. Jacob looked like he knew what is going on and is sad as while. I looked out of the window blood tears running down my face. Jagger in my arms looked up at me. He made a sound and I looked down.
He had his little hand up at me. I moved my face down and he is little hand wiped away one of the tears. I wiped away the others. "Sorry Jagger. You must be hungry." I said as I sat down and started to breast feed him. Nico came in and looked at me. "Hey Teresa I finished feeding Jacob. When your done we can head out. Percy and Annabeth is ready to babysit." Nico said in a tired voice.
We haven't slept in three months. I looked up at him with sad eyes. "Nico its been three months. The boy's only see us a few house a day. That's not good for them. I don't like this but we have to think about Jacob and Jagger." I said as tears ran down my face. Nico wiped them away. "I been thinking the same. I don't want to do it. We should have found her by now. Who ever took her know's how to hid. We keep our ears and eyes open. If we find a trail we can pick up the search again." Nico said in a somber voice.
I stood up and we had a family hug. The grief coming off every one was making my heart hurt. Cause I don't want to give up on looking but there is nothing more we can do. All we can do is wait and see if anything pops up on her. Nico and I took the pups to the kitchen where Percy and Annabeth is at. "How long you guys are going to be gone?" Percy asked us. I looked at Nico. "Go tell the others and I tell them." I said before I kissed him. Nico nodded his head as he handed me Jacob. I sat down with the boys.
"What's going on?" Annabeth said with worry in her voice. "Its been three months with out any word or sign of Ari. We are calling off the search but we are going to keep a ear and eyes open for Ari. Cause Jacob and Jagger needs us around more then a few hours." I said softly to them. They looked shocked at me.
"So you giving up?" Percy said with rage in his voice. "No Percy. I'm hoping that who took her will think we did and hopefuly they slip up." I said to them. "Not a bad idea." Annabeth said. "I hope it works. You guys don't have to hang around to day if you don't want to. Why dont you guys go and have fun." I said softly. They dont need to be here with all the somber in the air. "We dont want you leave you alone." Percy said with worry in his eyes.
"Nico will be back soon." I said softly. "If you say so Teresa. Just call us when you need us." Percy said before they left. I took the boys to our room. I sat them on the bed and puleld out a kids book. I started to read them the story. As I read they looked like they really like it. Nico came in and sat with us. He put his arms around me as I read the boys another story. Trying to get our minds off the sadness of Ari. Then someone knocked on the front door hard. "Who could that be?" I said as we picked up the boys and headed for the front door. When the door slowly opened and on the other side is. . .
