Campfire

They gathered around the campfire, like lonely moths flocking to the warmth they couldn't find in their souls.
Anger, confusion, defeat, disgust. All were present, all cast adrift and scattered like the embers that twisted in the dying wind.
A burst of light, dazzled milky eyes and broke the haze into a million, dazzling shards.
Something flickered in the wind.
Something turned into a shape.
Something forced them to stare more intently, each gaze defining the licking flames into something more.
Something came to be.
Sensei.

A/N: Am I back? I doubt it. I'm as flaky as a pastry, so don't count on it. I'd love to be more reliable, you guys all deserve it. I'll do my best, but I wish I could be more hopeful.

Rant, rave, review ... I must admit it's the reviews that make me want to write more ...
