Classified Mission: Chaos Control

The third Classified Mission to take place in the new universe, this mission is directly interconnected with 'The Paranormal Equation' and 'Yuri's Revenge', so reading them is required to gain a clearer understanding of the events that happen in this chapter. It focuses on the Regular Army Future Forces' attempt to reorganize themselves after several failed operations against the nefarious elite force of Admiral Greyfield and his new demonic allies.

This update underwent a very long period of development hell (at least eight months) so it is considered to be slightly outdated.

When the Regular Army Future Forces finally arrived at their destination in the past after a short detour to Mars, its moons, and eventually the burning plains of Hell itself, they had little to no time to introduce themselves to their past superiors, who were somehow already informed that they would be anticipating their arrival. Almost immediately, they were ordered to be geared up and sent to various combat zones across the Eurasian Continent - the Rebellion Army Paranormal Division, the very organization that met their demise at the hands of two particular marines in the past, was now back in full swing and was already decimating the European Continental Alliance. With the possibility of Europe being overrun by General Donald Morden's elite military branch, the Regular Army in this timeline could do little to support the ECA as they too were being beaten back on all fronts. They were eventually forced to retreat to Japan, Australia, and several other Pacific states while forsaking Europe for good - the combined forces of the Paranormal Division and the Rebellion Army was just too much for the UN-backed military unit to handle. The arrival of the Future Forces somewhat changed that around, for the time being.

Kanegawa Military Industries was able to somewhat perfect the Chronosphere in this timeline, which the first iteration was known to be horribly unstable. While they weren't able to figure out the true reasons behind the major disruptions to the space-time continuum (let alone fix them for good), they were able to finally master its secondary abilities: to chronoshift a small taskforce to any location on the planet Earth. They wished to use the special weapon's ability to quickly deploy the Regular Army and its reinforcements from the future to any point on the globe on a moment's notice, which was going to be necessary for their new counter-operations against the ever-growing threats of this hostile new world - the first order of business for the Regular Army and the Pacific Front Defense Alliance was to use this new Chronosphere to send reinforcements to Europe. In addition, some weapons that weren't available for use in the other timeline such as the UAC Delta-12 Chaingun and MAG Cannon are now accessible. These additions to the already impressive arsenal of the Future Forces will greatly complement their ways to cause carnage and mayhem.

The teams were split up into different units. Flynn 'Mack' Taggart, Nathalie Germi, and the Adept 01 'Adam' were sent to Berlin in order to prepare for a last stand against the Paranormal Division - the German Armed Forces had all but fallen back to the capital of Germany. Leon Chi-Ming Chan, Minami 'Mimi' Nakao, and the Adept 03 'Sarah' would have to take part in a risky operation to retake the British Isles after the Paranormal Division initiated a massive amphibious assault on the United Kingdom as they attempted to repeat what happened during the 'Might of the Marines' Classified Mission. Matthew Rossi, Alyssa Melchiott, and the Adept 02 'Dean' would be sent to Seoul as a preemptive measure to protect South Korea from a surprise attack from the North Koreans, the latter having been threatened by the sudden gain of power by Pacific countries it deemed as political enemies. Meanwhile, L-X8 'Shepherd' and Bella Heart will remain in Japan as they perform vital intelligence operations in their search for many answers as to why the world has been altered in a way that resembles nothing like the one they seen prior to the original First Rebellion War.

For some reason, the Psionic Soldier Noriko Kasamoto has 'vanished' from the timeline - Shepherd believes that due to the erasure of Regular Army-based Cyborg and Psionic technologies, she has been permanently deleted from existence much to his dismay. However, it still doesn't explain why he and his Adepts made it through the time stream without any ill effects. However, the ex-CABAL Cyborg Commando and turncoat Bioroid clone realized that the Cybernetic Federation Army and the Future Rebellion Army, both their former employers and now their mortal enemies, were still very present in this new world - and they could sense them hiding somewhere, lying in wait and out of the prying eyes of the new superpowers that jockeyed for power across the planet...

As the Regular Army Future Forces battled the Paranormal Division in Europe, Shepherd (who was now the new commanding officer of the unit) eventually learned some new revelations: the delicate balance of world powers had shifted into the hands of three major states: the Soviet Union, China, and the United States Experimental Forces. Plus, the Rebellion Army was able to acquire large swathes of land in Africa, the Middle East, and parts of South America - and it wasn't going to be long until they would be able to challenge the three major superpowers, even more so now that they have the aid of the Demonic Forces of Hell. He knew Japan, despite the country's superior military technologies and strategic location that made it safe from land-based invasions, wasn't going to be immune to attacks forever. The Cyborg realized they had to find General Donald Morden as quickly as possible - something was obviously wrong if the US Experimental Forces were now the new protectorates of the American people. Much to his disappointment, Loyalist US Armed Forces personnel have made it clear that they are the remnants of the old American government and military in exile. This brought up a new question: how did the USEF and their supreme commander, General Chantelle 'Amelia' Steelheart end up in this new timeline?

There was no time to find answers as Leon's squad failed to save Britain from the Paranormal Division and were forced to leave the islands in defeat, Flynn's unit was defeated in Berlin and Europe finally fell to the iron clutches of Admiral Greyfield, and a failed attempt to prevent the Paranormal Division from stealing the UAC 'Odin' Satellite Cannon Network in the Western US Seaboard resulted in Leon and his team being captured by the Paranormal Division. But not all was lost: when the Paranormal Division launched their attack on South Korea after annihilating a portion of the Korean Demilitarized Zone with their newly-acquired Odin Satellite Cannon, Matthew's forces were able to neutralize the assault and in the process, freed and recruited a new Valkyrian Priestess! After some evaluations, the Valkyria known as Atsuko Nakagawa was deployed on full duty to help the already horribly-undermanned forces of the Regular Army.

With a desire to beat the Paranormal Division back and to save Leon, Minami, and the Adept Sarah, the Future Forces prepare to enter the playing field with the stark reality of being defeated once and for all. As a massive world war explodes between Russia, China, the United States Experimental Forces, the Rebellion Army and their Paranormal Division, the Demonic Forces of Hell, the greatly-weakened faction that once represented the security forces of the United Nations struggles to maintain itself in a world where peace is only an afterthought.

Mission 1: Paderborn, Germany: Since Europe has already fallen to the Paranormal Division, a direct assault on the continent would be impossible unless the Russians and Chinese combine their numbers and cooperatively attack together. Such a reality would likely be impossible, as multiple skirmishes have already begun across Asia and the Middle East between the Russian Military and the Chinese People's Liberation Army. While the Pacific Front Defense Alliance has no qualms of allowing the two Communist states to destroy each other in a mad blood-crazed frenzy considering the potential threat they posed, the threat of the Paranormal Division is far greater than it seems to be and their leaders hope that both Russia and China will eventually realize this. For the time being however, we can only launch covert operations against Admiral Greyfield's tyrannical self-proclaimed state; the Chronosphere is still under development in this new timeline so it does not have the capacity to move entire armies around the globe. As for now, we can only destabilize the new superpower with guerrilla tactics until we are able to either rebuild our forces to nominal fighting capacity or establish new alliances with other states that are willing to mutually take down the Paranormal Division.

In addition, we must find out where the organization has taken Leon, Minami, and Sarah. We had lost contact with the trio during an emergency operation to prevent the Paranormal Division from stealing the necessary program to gain control over an Odin satellite - we've seen the terrors that the regime is capable of, so it is imperative that we find the three operatives and rescue them as soon as possible. We certainly hope that they haven't been brought back to the realms of Hell, otherwise they will be all but lost forever in the lairs of the damned... However, the team, especially Flynn, Alyssa, and Matthew in particular, have promised that they will return to the devil's hive and tear it down yet once more if it means having to rescue their teammates from certain doom.

The city of Paderborn, Germany holds an important communications facility and supply depot for the Paranormal Division. Ever since their major victory in Europe, the organization has spread its forces rather thin, especially in the German heartland save for Berlin - they realize the importance of their crown jewel claimed from their titanic victory and thus have stationed the majority of their forces in the capital city of the nation. This is our golden opportunity to strike back. Our options are extremely limited since we must allot and divide our manpower appropriately - considering the nature of this mission will involve hacking and stealing vital information from their network, the Regular Army has decided to send Matthew Rossi and Atsuko Nakagawa for this highly sensitive operation. They will be inserted into the area via the Chronosphere; considering how the Paranormal Division has established a massive armada of zeppelins above the city (for whatever reason), the teleporation method is the only way to covertly do so.

Fortunately, the citizens of Paderborn are rather displeased with the presence of Admiral Greyfield's forces and they will certainly aid you in your mission. They also see Atsuko as some kind of holy priestess due to her initial appearances - this isn't surprising, as the city has a long history with occultism and paganism in a positive sense. Advance through the city and make your way to the outpost, but make sure to avoid engagements in order to keep a low profile. Once the team has access to the outpost, hack into the main server and download as much information as possible - also, you might have to fight an elite member of the Paranormal Division to access your objective. It won't be long before the occupiers catch on to our schemes and send reinforcements, and that is the signal for Matthew and Atsuko to make themselves scarce. Relay the information back to our headquarters ASAP; in the meantime, hide with the local resistance forces and await further orders. They'll certainly shelter the duo, but keep an eye out for collaborators of the Paranormal Division.

Mission 2: European Continental Alliance Technology Center, Barcelona, Spain: The tidal wave of the Paranormal Division and their demonic allies continue to swamp Europe with unrelenting aggression. While the German Armed Forces have all but been defeated or have been evacuated to Japan via the Chronosphere and the French bolster their forces for the inevitable onslaught, the Spanish are on Admiral Greyfield's next list of victims. Madrid has been conquered by the joint Paranormal-Demonic forces, and the invaders have chased the remnants of Spain's resistance to the coastal city of Barcelona. After some discussions with the commanders and scientists back at Kanegawa Military Industries' primary research complex in Kagoshima, Shepherd and Bella have decided to volunteer for this operation - they, along with six units of the new series of Future Tanks (the Future Tank X-3) and three squads of infantry units will be teleported into Barcelona where they will reinforce the Spanish remnants until the Chronosphere is once again ready to transport them safely to the Japanese Home Islands.

The reason why the Chronosphere couldn't be simply used to teleport the Spanish out of the doomed state is simple: a major ECA Technology Center that was developing new weaponry in conjunction with KMI and the UAC is located here, and they must evacuate all the necessary research and personnel before the Paranormal Division arrives. Considering the Chronosphere was developed in a joint program with the Americans (at least in the old timeline), Europeans, and the Japanese, the ECA has major know-hows regarding it throughout almost every major member of the defense pact. Fortunately, the invaders were unable to acquire this treasure trove of knowledge back in Berlin, as the taskforce sent there were able to evacuate in time and managed to destroy the academy that held it. Now that Admiral Greyfield is aware that the last opportunity to seize it is within his reach, he and his zealous troops will do whatever it takes to claim it - they must not learn about the secrets of the Chronosphere, otherwise our only advantage in this war will be lost. Hold off the attackers long enough until the teleportation sequence is ready once more, which is approximately twelve hours.

While the Spanish Armed Forces will not last in a direct confrontation with the aggressors, they will bravely hold their grounds without peer - their soldiers realize that there is no way out and will resist the invasion to the bitter end. The Paranormal Division will arrive first in the form of their hordes of heavily-armed infantry, supported by columns of their advanced mechs and tanks. They will literally swarm the coastal city on all fronts, so be prepared. The new Future Tank X-3 should be more than enough to weather the ensuing assault. These new models of the Future Tank series is a personal invention of Shepherd himself - with the loss of the Future Tank X-0 due to almost all examples of it being destroyed in the final battle codenamed 'Vortexes of Time', the former CABAL Cyborg Commando was able to quickly construct a new model based on the schematics stored in his mind and the technologies that KMI has developed in this new timeline. Armed with four Experimental Beam Cannons and a myriad of advanced prototypical weaponry, use them to quickly destroy concentrations of enemy troops and vehicles alike.

Shepherd and Bella should also have enough firepower on hand to deal with the Rebellion Army elites. Considering their forte is primarily urban warfare, the environment of Barcelona will grant them a home field advantage. The invaders will realize this too and will send teams of urban combat specialists of their own in order to deal with our two commandos. The primary objective is to protect the technology center in the city from capture or destruction until the extraction process is complete. Also, take note of potential artillery units that may try to bombard the structure.

Prepare for a fierce urban battle throughout this lavish coastal city on the Mediterranean Sea. Once the evacuation is complete, evacuate all forces to the Chronosphere's teleporation zone and KMI will do the rest.

Mission 3: Castle Wolfenstein, outside Paderborn, Germany: As we slowly garner a small amount of success in our desperate war against an enemy of unimaginable might, we have analyzed the data that Matthew and Atsuko were able to extract back in Paderborn, Germany. It appears that after they were captured in Los Angeles in their attempts to stop the theft of the Odin Satellite programs, the Demonic Forces of Hell didn't execute them on the spot and instead transferred them over to the Paranormal Division. The reason why Admiral Greyfield wanted them alive was for three reasons: to get the one marine that had been in a thorn in his side, to learn more about the Valkyria that the demons warned him about, and to unlock the secrets behind the Adept program by Kanegawa Military Industries. After their transfer, they were taken to a massive castle fortification called Castle Wolfenstein where they are likely undergoing interrogation and torture. Such news was terrifying to Matthew and Atsuko - they immediately departed for the ominous stronghold that sits on the side of a snowy mountain, which is only accessible through two means: either infiltration via cable car, or scale the treacherous cliffs over a massive canyon.

Little is known about the general layout of this fortress that acts as the major headquarters for the Paranormal Division - Castle Wolfenstein itself was known to be a center of occultism for the Third Reich. In fact, it just so happened to be Heinrich Himmler and the Schutzstaffel's personal residence during World War II, and its remote location in the mountain ranges meant that the German government never gave a second thought about the fortress and allowed nature and time to deteriorate the desolated fortress - no one ever imagined it to become a breeding ground for the twisted ideals for a specialized force of the Rebellion Army. Entering the castle is the true challenge - sneaking onto a cable car would be almost impossible without proper disguises (especially with Atsuko's... unique appearance), while journeying across the cliffs can be potentially deadly; one slip and a painful death in the valley is all but guaranteed. Whatever the path that Matthew and Atsuko will choose, the dangers that await them will give their courage and instincts the challenge of their lives.

According to a local resident of Paderborn who works as a maintenance worker in Castle Wolfenstein, the prisoners that we are looking for are kept in separate areas specifically meant to contain/interrogate them. Leon should be kept in the conventional cells where Paranormal Division prison guards interrogate their captives to extract vital information. Minami can possibly be found somewhere in the officer's quarters, as the psychotic warden that runs this place is likely wishing to personally know more about the Valkyria. Adept Sarah will be the toughest one to extract, as she is kept in the laboratories where the organization's next generation Proto-Soldiers, basically improved variants of the killing machines of the same name fielded by the Amadeus Syndicate in the White Baby Crisis of the past timeline, are being constructed and armed for battle. We have rights to believe that Admiral Greyfield wishes to reprogram the Adept and have her turned against us.

Stay on high alert - the instant you set foot into Castle Wolfenstein, all hell will break loose. While Matthew and Atsuko are formidable combatants, they should never take any risks as we don't know what tricks that the enemies will pull from their sleeves. Ammunition for Matthew's weaponry is also limited, so consider using some of the weapons dropped from the slain personnel. While our newly recruited Valkyria has some powers and skills to be reckoned with, don't overestimate them as she can and will fall in battle if exposed to enough punishment. Doctor Schabbs, the organization's top scientist in charge of all the sinister projects, happens to be the current commander in charge of the castle - we request that you find him and terminate the madman after you are able to liberate the captured operatives. Though he is equipped with an experimental battle suit, Atsuko's dark matter attacks should be more than enough to deal with him.

The worst case scenario has happened - Adept 03 Sarah hasn't just been reprogrammed, but the extensive tampering with her systems has resulted in her going berserk! She will go on a rampage throughout the fortress, destroying everything in her way. While Leon has been in bad shape, he is willing to aid Matthew in the fight as he urges Minami and Atsuko to take refuge in a safer area after tiring themselves out in the fight against Doctor Schabbs - not to mention he wishes to save the very guardian that has promised to protect him to the very end. The Adept herself is extremely difficult to damage, even with the high-caliber weaponry Matthew has. What the duo needs to do is to damage the artificial human's head to the point where she cannot operate properly anymore, thus allowing Matthew to move in and hack into her programming, thus deactivating her.

Escaping Castle Wolfenstein is a matter of racing against time. We cannot open a chronoshift portal for the unit due to a curfew being placed in effect in Paderborn - Paranormal Division troops are everywhere. Your only choice is to blend yourselves back into the populace.

Mission 4: Vatican City, Rome, Italy: Admiral Greyfield's takeover of Rome and the Vatican City was not just a major point in history where the Vatican City had fallen to an outside power (considering it was not attacked in World War II) but it also marked the reality that no one was going to be safe from the Paranormal Division's steel grip. After broadcasting his triumphant conquering of the capital for the Roman Catholic Church to the entire world, massive protests around the world soon erupted in regions that hadn't been seized by the organization yet. Let's just say that the top brass of the self-proclaimed state could only laugh and ridicule at such feeble attempts to speak out against their actions - and we all know how much their troops love silencing dissidents via public massacres and executions. It wasn't just the sudden takeover of Vatican City that caught our attention; we have received reports from defectors that their military had been collaborating with a rather less-known yet influential Soviet official that only goes by the name of 'Yuri' prior to the attack. After Italy had fallen, two structures were deployed in the courtyard outside the Saint Peter's Basilica: one of them was a demonic gateway generator, while the other is a much stronger variant of the Psychic Beacon, referred to as a 'Psychic Amplifier'.

From what we know of the Psychic Beacon, it is essentially a regional mind control device designed to enslave the minds of humans that are within its range. However, certain humans, either through natural resistance or mental training, are immune to its influence. Why the elite sect of the Rebellion Army allowed the construction of one is a mystery, but its purpose is clear: when they made their advance into Italy, they preferred to find means to suppress and pacify the Italian Armed Forces and any resistance they came across - the Psychic Amplifier's purpose is exactly that. Considering the Paranormal Division probably had to redirect their forces in preparation to take over other parts of Europe and outlying territories (or simply didn't bother with Italy), their presence in the peninsula is rather minimal, for now. On the other hand, the Demonic Forces of Hell have established yet another suitable corrupted habitat for their beasts while unidentified forces, alongside the mind-controlled Italians, are in firm control over Rome. In order to learn more about our enemies and to acquire a morale boost for our faction, we will chronoshift a team into Italy with the main objective of neutralizing both the gateway to Hell and the Psychic Amplifier.

The Psychic Amplifier's abnormal waves are extremely dangerous to conventional troops, so we are not risking our forces to its exposure - therefore, we will send Flynn, Alyssa, and Adepts Adam and Dean into the city's outskirts through the Chronosphere. All four of them are either trained to resist mind control or are unaffected by it entirely. Though the demons themselves and the mind-controlled Italians are already a formidable threat, the infiltration squad also has to deal with the unknown forces - their infantry and vehicles are peculiar to say the least. There are infantry units that can shoot fire from their minds, use compound bows armed with energy bolts, and the fabled Psi-Corps Troopers. Their tanks are even stranger: a levitating hovertank with a large electromagnetic generator and a (literal) brain in a jar on a tank chassis only generates more questions in regards to their true origins. But considering each member of the squad are literal one-person armies in their own, we are confident that retaking the city is only a matter of careful engagements and implementation of advanced tactics. Make your way through the streets of Rome and towards Saint Peter's Basilica.

While the demonic gateway has to be destroyed, we should attempt to capture the Psychic Amplifier in order to learn the methods of operation behind it. Get either Adept Adam or Adept Dean into the structure and they will proceed to capture it. Whoever built the structure would have certainly installed failsafes within the building should it ever fall into enemy hands, so we must work fast to analyze the whole building before it collapses in a series of explosions! The demons will certainly send a powerful member of their species to impede your efforts, so be prepared for a major battle in the courtyard.

Once the Vatican is liberated, cleanse the city of demonic and the unidentified forces that still plague the city. The Italian Armed Forces will retake the capital city of the country while preparing for any future assaults from the Paranormal Division, and we will begin immediate analysis of what our combatants have encountered on the double.

Mission 5: Camp Belica, Croatia: After returning to the village after fleeing Castle Wolfenstein, the people of Paderborn have turned in a captured Paranormal Division officer that they have kidnapped just about three months after Berlin had fallen - he appears to know vital information in regards to the resistance movement occurring across the continent of Europe, including the location of where the imprisoned ones are being held. Matthew Rossi's attention was immediately perked when the captors mentioned about a Regular Army soldier that was leading the resistance with unwavering might until he was defeated in the Straits of Traven in Italy - it is clear that said soldier is Marco Rossi, as that very location was where the final battle of the First Rebellion War was fought in the old timeline. Though the Paranormal Division officer has not divulged any information as to where the prisoners of war are being kept, Matthew will be more than eager to torture him senseless to get what he needs. As usual, do whatever it takes.

According to the rather... questionable interrogation procedure that would likely have our commanders raising their eyebrows, it is likely that Marco Rossi and the captured resistance are being held in a labour prison called Camp Belica in Croatia. Similar to the infamous Auschwitz and Buchenwald prisons that operated under the Third Reich's banner in World War II and the dreaded gulags during the Stalinist era of the Soviet Union, it is a massive prison camp that forces incarcerated individuals to work themselves to the point of death - the people of Paderborn believe it is a major manufacturing site for construction materials and military ordnance used by the Paranormal Division to establish their newfound empire. Though the rest of the team fear that Marco may no longer even be alive there and since a full-scale assault is out of the question, Leon has remained optimistic and decided to volunteer to disguise himself as a prisoner and infiltrate the camp himself. Realizing that he had to contribute also, Matthew has also offered to go in with him - Minami, Atsuko, and Adept Sarah will have to remain in Paderborn, as the Paranormal Division is known to incarcerate women for reasons we would rather not go into detail about...

The local resistance forces will provide you with the necessary clothing to resemble the prisoners of Camp Belica and for obvious reasons, Leon and Matthew will have to leave all their weaponry (save for their fists and bad attitudes) behind. They will also guide you to the nearest collection point where potential prisoners are being rounded up like cattle for transportation to the labour camp - sneak in there, blend in, and you'll be taken straight to the prison in approximately eight hours or so. Once the duo arrives, it is imperative that they cooperate with the prison guards as much as possible and resist the urge to retaliate, even if they start assaulting our operatives - doing so would likely mean execution on the spot. Should they be separated, keep a cool head and plan accordingly. The camp itself is run by a brutal and unscrupulous Paranormal Division official known as Helga von Engel - much to the shock of the infiltration team, they have learned that she is part-cybernetic - both her legs are replaced with what appears to be mechanical legs of a prototypical nature. The camp itself is also being kept under enforcement by not just armed prison guards, but also demonic war machines such as Arachnotrons and Revenant Prototypes, making an uprising a death wish unless they have advanced military-grade firepower.

Gather what you need to know from fellow prisoners, but remember to start getting used to the harsh labour there as it will be essential to retain their covert natures. Once you find Marco Rossi, explain your situation to him (he'll certainly be shocked to know that he has a son and daughter) and he will definitely assist you in the prison breakout. Marco reveals that the Arachnotrons and Revenant Prototypes can be rewired to go berserk against its masters via a broadcasting antenna at the western end of the prison camp - he has the knowledge to do so given his skills in computer hacking, but he will need backup to do so.

In order to access this objective, one will have to force the camp to shut down for a day. Find a way to heavily damage the production equipment to the point where the operators of the prison will have no choice but to provide a day off to the labourers, and use this time to sneak to the antenna. Be careful - once you leave your designated cell block, both the guards and the demonic sentries will deem you as trespassing and will terminate you without hesitation and if they raise the alarm, the mission will definitely end in failure. While Marco, Leon, and Matthew can eliminate individual human guards using traditional takedown techniques involving some knives and neck-twisting, avoid the Arachnotrons and Revenant Prototypes. They are nearly impervious to small-arms fire, and only a few select prison guards will have STG-88 Assault Rifles on hand. Once the antenna is accessed, hack into it and watch Camp Belica descend into chaos. That's the cue to get out of there!

Although Helga von Engel tried to prevent the trio and a large convoy of prisoners from escaping via hijacked trucks, they were able to flee safely. Keep in mind that she is now aware of who the escapees are and will have likely informed Admiral Greyfield about it... but their experience at Camp Belica has motivated Leon and Matthew to personally give her a first-taste of pulse rifle and Devastator rounds one day.

Mission 6: Wulingyuan Valley, Hunan Province, China: After the Regular Army in the present day was introduced to the Valkyrian Dragon known as Timaeus, both military officials and scientists alike were baffled to see such the existence of a creature. Fortunately, both sides of the party did not show any hostility to each other - in fact, scientists from the Pacific Front Defense Alliance nations have convened in an emergency meeting to inform the Future Forces and Timaeus that they have made an astounding discovery shortly before Russia and China broke out in warfare: the Wulingyuan Valley of China is one such location on Earth where the fabled Valkyrian Dragons reside, peacefully away from human civilizations. In an act that surprised the world (given the country's philosophy of ruthlessness in their pursuit for expansion and profit as a major world power), the Chinese government made it a law that the site would be established as a national park and would not be desecrated by any outside sources. Timaeus himself has also explained that he and his kin would help restore the chaos that had befallen upon the planet Earth provided humanity will not interfere with their existence - after all, it was the Valkyrian Dragons that helped the Valkyria in their ill-fated war against the Demonic Forces of Hell.

Satellite scans also show that the Paranormal Division is also sending in large amounts of troops and aircraft into the region - while China is busy trying to fight off both the Rebellion Army and the Russians, the invaders were able to infiltrate the Eastern Dragon without intervention. Worrying for his kind, Timaeus immediately demanded to be sent into the region alongside Alyssa, Nathalie, and Flynn, for he fears for their safety; it is obvious that the Paranormal Division was alerted to their presence after they were informed about them by their demonic allies. Trusting the words of a ferocious, if rather intelligent and reasonable, beast was something that military leaders would never consider doing, but it was not like they have any other choices considering the situation. Given the potential risk of Chinese retaliation, Timaeus has to venture into the region via flight alone without military support but the dragon himself is confident in his skills to protect not just himself, but also his riders who will act as humankind's representatives to the other Valkyrian Dragons that reside within the Wulingyuan Valley.

The valley itself will be under fierce attack by the time Timaeus, Alyssa, and Flynn arrive into to the region - as the Paranormal Division, accompanied by demonic reinforcements lay waste to the natural sanctuary of the draconic beasts, it is evident that they wish to exterminate them from this timeline for good. While the Valkyrian Dragons are extremely durable creatures that are immune to most forms of damage, they are not invincible and they will falter against superior numbers and firepower. Drop Flynn off somewhere in the forests where he can deal with the ground opposition with his heavy weaponry - Timaeus, along with Alyssa as the Valkyrian Knight that will ride him into battle, will tear through the skies and destroy as much Paranormal Division aircraft and Infernal-Arch Dragons as possible. While the Valkyrian Dragons that live here are more than a match for the invaders in the skies, it is the ground-based attackers that may prove to be problematic as they will destroy the habitat while setting up anti-aircraft weaponry to weaken the airborne behemoths. Both Flynn and Nathalie can easily deal with them, and the Paranormal Division (or the demons for that matter) certainly won't be expecting them to be here until it is far too late - use the BFG9000 for guaranteed effectiveness. Though the Regular Army's commanders have opted for possible reinforcements sent via the Chronosphere, the Chinese government would never allow that - the Pacific Front Defense Alliance is currently neutral towards China and vice-versa, but that will change the instant our military presence is detected within the Chinese heartland.

In a bid to destroy the entire region after his conventional forces failed to do so, Admiral Greyfield will order a Heinrich-Class Zeppelin armed with an experimental Dark Matter Cannon to be sent into the region. We don't know where this airship came from considering it able to sneak into Chinese airspace so easily without detection or who is going to be commanding the kilometer-long dirigible, but this flying warship must not be allowed to deliver its payload! Upon helping the local Valkyrian Dragons in the repulsion of this attack, they have agreed to follow both Timaeus and Alyssa's command (not to mention they are very happy to see a living Valkyria). The airship itself is so heavily armored that it will not be destroyed in time before it fires its primary weapon - get Flynn and Nathalie inside the zeppelin, have them sabotage the internal systems that power both the dark matter cannon and the engine systems, and evacuate! It will proceed with the firing sequence in approximately thirty minutes, so it must be destroyed before the time limit is reached. This unit also acts as an airborne aircraft carrier, so it will launch dozens of futuristic aircraft to defend itself and its massive array of conventional guns, missile launchers, and Tesla Cannons(!?) will make sure it will not go down without a fight.

The destruction of the zeppelin will mark a great victory for us, as it will secure the trust of the Valkyrian Dragons that inhabit the Wulingyuan. Alyssa, Nathalie, and Flynn will explain their stories to them - in return, it appears they will grant the dragons Critias and Hermos to our unit! This will give us not only a massive boost in military power, but also a major advantage against the demonic assistance that the Paranormal Division has access to.

Mission 7: Chinese People's Liberation Army Headquarters, Chongqing, China: Securing the power and trust of the Valkyrian Dragons has proven to be a major victory for the Regular Army and the Pacific Front - not only were we able to save the majestic beasts from certain extinction, but another major offensive by the Paranormal Division was blunted and our repeated successes against them have proven that they are by far no means unbeatable. In spite of the Valkyrian Dragons agreeing to fight on our side until this war is over, this newly acquired power is still not enough to resist the might of the Paranormal Division - in fact, with each victory we accumulate, Admiral Greyfield is claiming at least three more in his own twisted campaigns around the world. If we are to defeat the NGO superpower that dominates Europe with an iron fist, we must gain the assistance of a superpower with the required numbers to even the odds in our favor. Although none of the leaders that make up the Pacific Front Defense Alliance is willing to cooperate with the US Experimental Forces (for obvious reasons), they have considered a possible ad-hoc alliance with either Russia or China; though both nations are far from friendly when it comes to relationships with states such as South Korea, Japan, and Australia, they are at least on neutral terms at best. However, the Chinese have beaten us to that suggestion as a representative of the PLA contacted the Pacific Front with a proposition.

With the Chinese People's Liberation Army reeling in defeat on multiple fronts across China, the once mighty Eastern Dragon was no longer seen as the invincible titan that it once was: with the Russians attacking from the north, the Rebellion Army striking from within the occupied zones of the Chinese Mainland and the Paranormal Division thundering across the areas that border the Middle East, it was clear that the People's Republic of China would ultimately lose the war - in spite of its advantage in numbers, even it could not save them from being overwhelmed on three fronts. Therefore the Chinese government has requested for a potential ad-hoc alliance with the other members of the Pacific Front Defense Alliance - the conference that will concern this matter will be held at a major PLA headquarters in the metropolis of Chongqing, China (interestingly enough, said city happened to be the site of the Ptolemaic Army Tower in the old timeline). Originally, some Pacific state leaders had hoped that China would just destroy itself considering it was the very corruption that made the country the way it is now but with the threat of the Paranormal Division and their demonic allies, they would need all the help they could acquire - and allowing the Rebellion Army to take full control of China would be a guaranteed catalyst for total defeat.

A combined element of the Regular Army, its Future Forces branch, and the People's Liberation Army will be responsible for the defense of city and its headquarters - the Rebellion Army, the Paranormal Division, and the Demonic Forces of Hell are fully aware of this potential alliance and will try to put a stop to it. Given the importance of this mission, Kanegawa Military Industries is proud to introduce their newest aerial unit: the Pteranodon Aerial Fortress. Though the concept of this heavy all-purpose airborne tank (theoretically speaking) existed for quite a while, it never left the drawing board as the defense contractor could only construct several prototypes at best. Now, two such examples have just been completed shortly after the Fall of Berlin, and the company wishes to use them for air support in Chongqing. Just like the Future Tank X-3, use them to fend off large hordes of hostile targets but be aware of the Paranormal Division's Horten HO-550 Batplanes, as Pteranodons are still weak against air units despite having defenses against them. The Chinese will also deploy their gargantuan Overlord Tanks and the rather controversial Iron Dragons to protect the city. Both the Rebellion Army and the Paranormal Division are aware of this impending alliance and will throw all their available forces in this region at the PLA Headquarters in order to eradicate the leadership from both sides currently in attendance. It is rather strange to say the least, considering the Chinese has stated both General Morden and Admiral Greyfield have been plotting behind each others' backs since the start of the war...

Because the invaders will attack on all fronts, use the Pteranodons to suppress heavy ground forces while the F-44XL Stormchilds can deal with the Horten Ho-550s. The bulk of the PLA will take the brunt of the attack, as their commanders have no qualms of spilling their enemies' blood to set an example to the Rebellion Army. With Alyssa, Nathalie, and Flynn transferred to this region shortly after their victory in Wulingyuan, the Valkyrian Dragons Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos should prove to be a superior complement to the forces defending the city. Combine that with the force of our Pteranodons, Future Tank X-3s, and the Chinese Overlord Tanks and Iron Dragons, the attackers shouldn't stand a chance whatsoever - just ensure that the primary building remains safe from destruction, otherwise all will be lost.

Once the treaty is signed, the joint Pacific Front-Chinese Alliance will be formed. While a major Asian power (the Japanese no less) cooperating with China is unheard of and shaky at best, we don't really have any alternatives at this point. However, we should stay aware of the fact that the People's Republic of China may have potential ambitions of their own, especially after how they witnessed our weaponized technology in battle.

Mission 8: Future Tank Laboratories and Chronosphere Deployment Zone, Kagoshima, Japan: Just as the joint Rebellion Army/Paranormal Division alliance was defeated in Chongqing, an emergency order came in from JSDF commanders. Unidentified forces have besieged one of the most important facilities to Kanegawa Military Industries - and to make matters worse, the technology centers responsible for the research and development of our most advanced military hardware have been compromised! The attack literally came out of the shadows - the soldiers stationed here reported the nature of the surprise assault with tanks literally appearing out of nowhere and critically damaging vital structures, such as the complex's power plants, radar systems, and base defenses. With communications severed and lacking sufficient power, the entire base fell into disarray. Only after a disastrous attempt to defend the base without the facility's vital assets did the horrors begin; for inexplicable reasons, the facility's garrison started to turn against each other in utter confusion as the invaders moved in with vehicles that are unlike anything we've encountered thus so far. Our biggest concern is the Chronosphere - while it is no longer as unstable, there are still problems that need to be worked out and the device must not fall into the hands of an enemy force. We must reclaim it before the occupiers either download the schematics from it, or try to activate it. Perhaps the mastermind behind this mission was aware of us potentially trying to reclaim the KMI Complex, but they have planted a Psychic Beacon in the area. The identity behind the invasion force has yet to be recognized but if the psychic weapons employed are anything to go by, this was the same army that occupied Vatican City with the aid of the Paranormal Division.

The nature of this mission means we will have to resort to robotic warfare, as conventional forces can't even venture into Kagoshima without falling to the mental waves generated by the Psychic Beacon. Shepherd, Adept Adam, and Adept Dean will have to lead this assault on their own, and support will be limited to the few remaining Future Tank X-0 prototypes and Future Tank X-3s that weren't either destroyed or stolen in the initial ambush on the complex. The Loyalist US Armed Forces will provide limited support with their HK-360 Falcon 'Terminator' Drones but aside from that, our options on the table are extremely limited. The Future Tank X-3 is still a relatively new unit so it cannot be produced from the war factories in this region unless one of the tech centers are recaptured. Until the Psychic Beacon is neutralized or it is insufficiently powered, we will be unable to send reinforcements into the area. While Shepherd and two of his Adept Elites are formidable fighters in their own right that are immune to mind control, they are not invincible - and we are not positively sure of just how dangerous this new breed of enemy is, so tread with caution.

Aside from the KMI security forces that have succumbed to the Psychic Beacon's presence, you will have to deal with a strange assortment of enemy forces here - infantry units capable of shooting fire, soldiers capable of mind-control, primitive and crude yet effective light tanks, a hover tank with a tractor beam, a massive heavy tank with a brain in a jar, and a behemoth of a land vehicle capable of transforming its primary weapons are just some of them. The new inhabitants of the KMI Complex and their mind controlled slaves will do everything they can to evict our taskforce once they realize their psychic tricks have no effect against our computerized war machines. The primary objective is to ensure the safety of the Chronosphere at all costs - while the plans for our newly deployed weapons can be redeveloped considering we already have working examples of them in the battlefield, the mass-teleportation device is irreplaceable and losing it would definitely mean an early defeat for us in this war. There is a single unit - a teenage girl no less - that is trying to hack into the Chronosphere. Stop her before she is able to extract the secrets of our superweapon or worse, accidentally deploys a Chrono Vortex in this area!

To make matters even more confusing, Russian units such as Kamov Ka-50 Wolfhound Gunships and Apocalypse Tanks were spotted fighting alongside the unidentified forces - while the Chinese have immediately jumped to accusations of the Soviets trying to knock us out of the war possibly because of our newfound alliance with China, it just doesn't seem right considering the Russians have never actually showed any hostility to the Pacific Front Defense Alliance. This has only made the situation all the more complicated - the People's Liberation Army has made it clear that if we do not expel the enemy force, they will intervene on our behalf. They don't understand the threat the Psychic Beacon poses to their units (considering none of them are trained to resist it) but they are too stubborn to think about the situation first. Destroy the Psychic Beacon as quickly as possible before the Chinese forces arrive, otherwise the battle will definitely not swing in our favor.

With the Chronosphere secured, our mission will be complete. KMI will assess the damages done and begin analysis of what has happened here, although Shepherd is still unnerved of the fact that a lone teenage girl was able to temporarily shut down his robotic forces all by herself with nothing more than a vague wrist-mounted device...

Mission 9: Stuttgart, Germany: While our forces in Asia attempt to recover from the sudden assault on the Japanese Home Islands and a failed effort to chase down the hostilities that were responsible for the massive damages inflicted at Kanegawa Military Industries' primary facilities in Kagoshima, the remaining troops that we have left stranded in Europe are still willing to continue the fight even in the heart of enemy territory. Shortly after Marco Rossi was rescued from Camp Belica, Matthew and Leon were able to explain the situation to him further once they were safely back in Paderborn - the legendary commando himself has shown that he had failed in his bid to eliminate General Donald Morden in a desperate assault on one of his personal compounds on the Mediterranean coastline - in fact, he was the last survivor of his squad and was incarcerated in that wretched labour camp until his liberation (he also appears to be much older here - perhaps another paradox caused by the Chronosphere...). This also means that Tarma Roving is no longer alive, which is depressing news to say the least. Atsuko has also stated that the Demonic Forces of Hell are now slowly beginning to open more gateways to Hell in Europe; they are perhaps readying their infernal legions for the massive attack on Russia, which is arguably the strongest military on the Eurasian Continent for now. Until we are able to acquire the Dimensional Gateway Accelerators from the Union Aerospace Corporation, our only option is to assault them directly. Even though we've lost Germany, we still have a chance of retaking the country - once we amass a large enough force, we will chronoshift a strike team to retake Berlin and possibly gain a chance at the liberation of Europe. But after what happened at KMI... that will not be possible for a while.

The Rebellion Army's Paranormal Division took Stuttgart for two primary reasons: a major technology center that housed a research and development program for the latest weaponry available for the ECA, and a nuclear power plant that supplied Germany with vast amounts of electricity for its civilian infrastructure - we believe the demons are using the power facility to provide ample fuel for their demonic gateway generators. If left interrupted, what remains of the city will soon become another corrupted realm for the devilish invaders, and we cannot allow such perversion to continue, especially after what we've witnessed in the British Isles. Our military commanders have spoken out that an operation with such a tiny force would effectively be suicidal... but Matthew wishes to disagree and plans to lead his team into Stuttgart and attempt the mission anyways. Fortunately, Leon and Minami have recovered to a point where they can perform their tasks again adequately, and Adept Sarah has been sufficiently repaired to operational levels - although her devotion as Leon's guardian was enough to keep her spirit going. Atsuko has promised to act as the trump card for her team, while Marco has decided to join the unit and assume his role as a General of the Regular Army Future Forces. Be sure to pick up some salvaged weaponry from the Paderborn Resistance before moving out - including the Kampfpistole and the new USEF Plasma Lancer sniper rifles.

Stuttgart is another urban battleground where elements of the Rebellion Army, the Paranormal Division, and the Demonic Forces of Hell lurk the streets as they hunt for any dissidents that might be in hiding. Fortunately, our team has all the necessary heavy weaponry and unorthodox tactics to deal with them - Leon and Marco (who is now armed with a Rattlesnake Pulse Rifle given to him by his son) would be suited for general assault, Matthew and Adept Sarah work nicely when it comes to dealing with heavier foes, while Minami and Atsuko will grant you all the necessary power to deal with adversaries that just won't fall from conventional military violence. We still advise the team to stick together or in squads of three at all times, as we are not sure what the occupiers of the city have prepared for them... avoid the streets if possible, as Infernal Arch-Dragons are constantly on patrol in the skies while Barons of Hell march the ruined streets with Paranormal Division elites. Also be wary of the Armored Bull Demon, as this brute of the original variant can take extreme amounts of damage before toppling over. Use the Plasma Lancer to your advantage, as this vicious sharpshooting weapon is a huge improvement over the Laser Sniper Rifle!

Make your way to the primary technology center and clean out the presence there - the ECA should have a miniature Chronosphere there, so get it back online. Although we can't teleport you an entire army to work with, we can send you some Future Tank X-3s and Adept reinforcements (thanks to Professor Namro Nakao for quickly reestablishing the program) once the city is secure in our preparation to invade France, which has fallen quiet for unknown reasons. They certainly won't surrender the facility without a fight, so be prepared to face some fierce resistance there. The nuclear plant on the other hand cannot be assaulted due to its instability - the heavy weapons used by the strike team can easily compromise the already unstable power plant, so forget about it and go straight for the demonic gateway. Unfortunately, it's guarded by two Überdemons, a single Ouroboros Lord, and Hans Grosse himself. To top it all off, constant reinforcements streaming from the gate will mean that this battle will devolve into an attrition that will not be in the favor of our combatants. Minami and Atsuko should focus their efforts on defeating the stronger tier of demons while Matthew, Leon, Adept Sarah, and Marco shall teach both the demons and their Rebellion/Paranormal collaborators just how they solve issues with their explosive arsenal. Kicking Hans Grosse's ass should deal a major blow to their organization, similar to Dr. Schabbs' death back at Castle Wolfenstein.

As the sun rises over Stuttgart after a long night's worth of intense house-to-house fighting, our daunting efforts to liberate Europe begins, but Atsuko has some bad news for us: shortly before the demonic gate collapsed, she detected two enormous life signals beyond the gate in the depths of the netherworld - and one of them is about to emerge from the depths of the Amazonian Jungle...

Mission 10: Genoa, Italy: As our forces located in the Asia-Pacific Region continue to assess the damages dealt by our unknown assailants, an emergency call came in from the Italian Resistance. Although Italy was primarily spared from the Paranormal Division's titanic invasion of Europe, they began advancing into the country shortly after our forces liberated Rome and the Vatican City from the demonic gateway generator and the Psychic Amplifier. However, this also raises some suspicions - why didn't the mysterious forces defending Italy's capital city retaliate almost immediately for the destruction of the mass mind-controlling machine? Considering the small strike force sent in for the task, our enemies would've certainly overwhelmed them within a matter of minutes. The recent events in Japan may have provided an answer for us now: the events in Italy were nothing more than a diversion to divide our limited forces on multiple fronts - as we were unable to keep all our commandos in Kagoshima, the Soviet Psychic Corps took the chance to deal an almost crippling assault on one of our most important headquarters. It begs the question: what is this organization, and what is their role with the recent events around the world? Though it appears they are allied with the Paranormal Division, Shepherd thinks so otherwise - when he was attacked by the teenage hacker identified to be Huang 'Yunru' Lingyin, he was able to temporarily gain access to her personal hacking device amidst the flood of computer viruses trying to disable the Cyborg Commando. Shocking information revealed that they were planning their own campaign against the Rebellion Army's elite sect, a coordinated operation against the Russians, an insidious plot by the Chinese to turn against us, a secret program that the UAC is conducting, and even a rogue faction operating within Kanegawa Military Industries...

After we secured Stuttgart, the Italian Resistance units informed us that the Paranormal Division immediately ordered a retaliation strike on the one individual that was only second to Marco Rossi in regards to importance: Fiolina Germi. As the mother of Matthew Rossi and Nathalie Germi, not to mention a figure of great importance to the Regular Army, Admiral Greyfield must have realized this and will plan the death of her very soon. As if the situation couldn't get any worse, the United States Experimental Forces deployed their forces from the African Continent to join in on the assault and beat the Paranormal Division in their own race. To make things even more difficult, the USEF strike team is being led by the Ikari Warriors - our former allies in the past timeline are now our greatest adversaries. Our commanders aren't surprised in the least considering the mercenaries only pledge their loyalties to their highest bidder, and the American renegades are definitely richer than us in that instance. We should be grateful that we have our own safeguards against them now, in the form of the Valkyrias and the Adept program. On the other hand, there's also Matthew Rossi - perhaps we shouldn't let him in on these briefings, otherwise he'll only get himself into even more reckless situations.

Given the importance and significance of this mission, we will send all our available commandos in the European Theater to Genoa. The unit will consist of Matthew, Leon, Adept Sarah, Minami, Atsuko, and Marco himself. Squads of Regular Army troops and their Future Forces counterparts will also be provided, as you'll need the numbers this time around. Our objective is straightfoward: secure Fiolina Germi, her family, and anyone else of importance from the potential clutches of the Paranormal Division or the Experimental Forces. Admiral Greyfield's forces will be striking from the west, while the USEF will launch their attacks via amphibious landings in the coastal city. There is one major advantage that we have, however: the hostilities between the two competing factions. While they do have similar mission parameters in mind, they are far from allies and will openly attack each other over our forces, so use this to stir up a battle royale and lessen the burdens that our units may have to carry on their shoulders. Given the terrain of Genoa, it will be impossible to provide heavy armor support outside of 'Akatsuki' Armored Assault Powersuits and Panzer-Tiger Spaziergänger mechs - but we do expect the USEF to bring in their Mastodon Behemoth Tanks and heavy air support in order to lay siege to the Germi Estate. The Paranormal Division will probably do the same, with their massive dirigibles and HO-550 Batplanes. As we cannot provide air support for the time being, there is little we can do to neutralize them.

The fight will have already been initiated in full fervor by the time the team is airdropped into the city. Try to avoid confrontations if possible, because the rescue units are considerably outgunned even with the heavy ordnance they have available. The Akatsukis and Panzers are also ill-equipped in direct battles as they have nowhere near the armor and protection levels of a heavy tank, so use them tactically to avoid losses. The Germi Estate itself is also heavily protected by a specialized detachment of soldiers that specifically serve as protection units for the Germi family, but they will stand no chance against the tremendous firepower that the Paranormal Division/USEF will be fielding. Given the urban environment, use that to your advantage - since the two warring factions will be occupied fighting each other, use it as cover to get to the Germi Estate as fast as plausible. Admiral Greyfield and the USEF commander will probably be unaware of our troops' presence in the city unless we really start fighting them head-on, so they will not think of us as a threat - though they will certainly find out once we get to our target. Once you get there, contact Fio and barricade the place down with your troops - we cannot airlift the team out of the city and chronoshifting such a large team is impossible for now, so you will have to hold it out - Alyssa, Flynn, and Nathalie have been informed of the situation back in Asia and are en route with the three Valkyrian Dragons accompanying the trio.

Once the dragons Timaeus, Critias, and Hermos arrive, they will definitely tip the fight in our favor, as not even the Ikari Warriors will stand a chance against these mythical creatures, as their firepower will prove even a match for the mighty Mastodons. This will inevitably force our enemies to retreat for the time being, but our victory is short-lived as we have received some terrible news coming out of Russia...

Mission 11: Cairo, Egypt: With Genoa temporarily secured and the two-sided assault repulsed, we have some time to reorganize our exhausted troops and plan our next offensives. Shortly after the Paranormal Division and the USEF retreated, our forces stationed in Stuttgart were met with a large contingent of infantry and vehicles that were clearly in bad shape and much to their shock, they appear to be the very same forces that attacked Kagoshima. Much to the surprise of the base's personnel, the enigmatic force approached them with open arms, asking for immediate assistance and a request to meet with our commandos. Keeping in tradition with the Geneva Conventions, the garrison provided all the necessary medical aid they could while the commandos back in Genoa finished up with the evacuation processes and safely extracted Fiolina Germi and the rest of her family before heading back to the German city - although we won the battle back in Italy, Fio's family estate is not safe anymore and we cannot risk ourselves to an even bigger offensive, even with the Valkyrian Dragons acting as our premier (and last) line of defense against our enemies.

As Matthew and Nathalie inform the whole situation to their parents and discuss the next best course of action, the rest of the team have been assigned to 'interview' the now-confirmed Psychic Corps, an ex-Soviet subfaction that eventually splintered off from their former masters. Aside from their strange assortment of infantry and vehicles straight out of a B-movie of a horror/science fiction genre, their forces are led by three psionically-gifted girls who identify themselves as Libra, Yunru, and Yuriko. We should be grateful that we have Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko accompanying the commandos, as they are possibly the only ones that are preventing the Psychic Corps females from overpowering our forces (that is, if it was in their intentions to do so).

From what was garnered from the interviews, it appears that the Psychic Corps had a campaign of their own all along - but the Paranormal Division, which has grown even stronger in the last few months, threw a crimp into their plans and threw their entire army into disarray. Led by a man known as Yuri, their original intention was to act as an elite combat force for the Soviet Union, but the man behind the helm of the organization changed that all around and eventually used his newfound power and talents to get back the Russian government for personal reasons. However, this later extended to the Chinese and Kanegawa Military Industries - Yunru has informed us that there is a plot within the PLA to topple the Chinese government; in fact, she hacked the Chronosphere back in Kagoshima to purposely make it malfunction and disallow the rogues from hacking it for themselves. Yuriko details of a rogue branch within Kanegawa Military Industries intent on the development of controversial weaponry that clearly goes against Japanese ethics and the Geneva Conventions alike - this explains why KMI was attacked a few weeks ago, and we were never informed of a skirmish that occurred at Okinawa. Meanwhile, Libra filled us in on the rest of the story - the Paranormal Division has killed her father (Yuri) and has taken the entire Russian Federation in a matter of days. Now their plans for revenge have changed to plans for survival, as the Paranormal Division is now actively hunting for them. Libra, Yunru, and Yuriko promise they will cease all hostilities with us and lend us their talents if we agree to do so. We will also inform Shepherd back in Japan about this situation, as it's likely we'll need him on the frontlines soon.

Given our serious lack of manpower, we do not have a choice - although Nathalie in particular wants to execute them all considering their deceptiveness, we are all potential targets for Admiral Greyfield. Libra also noted that a particular African warlord who had close ties with her father has crucial intelligence and supplies, and she recommends that we link up with him somewhere in Cairo. Unfortunately, both the Paranormal Division and the US Experimental Forces are converging upon Egypt again even though the Psychic Corps kicked them out with the help of rebel forces that opposed the invaders. We will send a commando team into Cairo at once, although we can't send everyone and risk Stuttgart to a direct assault. Libra will accompany our combatants while Yunru will remain behind - we are interested in knowing more about the rogue division of KMI in preparation to neutralize the renegades. Nathalie, Adept Sarah, and Minami (along with Timaeus) will be sent - Flynn, Alyssa, Atsuko, and the other Valkyrian Dragons will remain on station in Stuttgart while Matthew, Leon, and Yuriko have been diverted to other duties. Be prepared, as Cairo has been transformed into a vicious urban battleground, and the Ikari Warriors are in the area too ever since they were forced to withdraw back into the USEF strongholds located in Northern Africa.

Once you find the warlord known as El Dorado, get him to a safehouse in the area - he has vital information in regards to the warring factions, and he'll definitely ally with us considering we both share common foes. The Paranormal Division and the USEF will be too preoccupied fighting each other, so use this opportunity to make a quick getaway before they catch on to our actions.

Mission 12: Loyalist US Armed Forces Naval Base, Pearl Harbor, Hawaiian Islands: Our campaigns against the Paranormal Division and the United States Experimental Forces aren't limited to the African, Asian, and European Continents. A few days after our forces were able to regroup and re-mobilize their assets back in Japan and Korea, our intelligence agents have intercepted a possible invasion by the USEF - they wish to reincorporate the Hawaiian Islands back under the banner of the US. Although all forty-eight states of the continental US are now loyal to the American renegades, Alaska and Hawaii aren't as the majority of the US Armed Forces that were not willing to submit to General Chantelle 'Amelia' Steelheart's iron rule fled to these two regions. Although Alaska will remain safe for a long time due to the Canadian Armed Forces making it clear they will counterattack if Amelia invaded (not to mention Canada is an important trading partner and vital supplier of agricultural goods with the US), Hawaii isn't. An entire air and naval force of USEF aircraft and warships are en route to the islands chain, the loyalists there have already mustered everything they could in preparation for a grand battle in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. We can assume the USEF will be trying to replicate what the Imperial Japanese Navy tried to do in the Battle of Midway: capture a strategic point and to reduce our defensive perimeter in the Pacific.

Anticipating this assault, Shepherd voluntarily transferred himself to the Hawaiian base about a week ago with a squad of the newest Adepts fresh from training: the Adept Archangels. These happy-go-lucky females are considered to be miniaturized Pteranodon Aerial Fortresses, capable of projecting massive firepower from the skies with the help of their missile pods and Q-Series Ionic Railgun Accelerator Cannons. This battle will prove their worth to the Regular Army and will hopefully serve as a cheaper alternative for the costly Pteranodons. Bella has also accompanied him, as the turncoat Bioroid owes much to him for her continued survival. Adepts Adam and Dean are staying in Japan to ensure homeland security - ever since the Russians fell to the Paranormal Division, the Chinese have remained suspiciously quiet and the silence only alienates our troops even more. That, and North Korea still remains in the wicked claws of Admiral Greyfield's legions - we are truly being divided and conquered across the globe.

The Loyalist US Armed Forces Naval Base in Hawaii consists of a large navy of conventional destroyers and captured USEF Aegis Cruisers, Hunter Drone Carriers, two Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carriers, and two Thor-Class Battleships and a sizable air force of F-44XL Stormchilds, a few Alanqa-Class Harbinger Gunships, along with some older air units. This is all supplemented with a small ground force intended for defense in the event our enemies actually make their landings on the islands. Our greatest asset is a space command uplink that grants us control over an UAC 'Odin' Satellite Cannon - we must not lose this structure if we wish to have one advantage over our enemies. Though the Regular Army has no plans to use the satellite weapon anytime soon considering the titanic collateral damage it is capable of causing, it is a possible option sometime in the future. The JSDF are already informed of this offensive and are sending reinforcements of their own (mostly consisting of Pteranodons and V-64 ORCAs) but it will take them at least a week to arrive. Shepherd and Bella must lead the Loyalist US Armed Forces in a bitter defense that will determine who will maintain decisive and tactical supremacy over the largest ocean in the world.

The battle will consist of three stages: the USEF will first send in their carrier-borne aircraft to initiate as much damage as possible before sending in their warships and landing craft. These units will try to bombard our primary defenses on Oahu, so be prepared for constant aerial harassment. The second stage will consist of their warships entering the area to clear out our own naval forces, so it will become a repeat of the famous naval battles that the United States Navy and the Imperial Japanese Navy fought back in WWII - the Thors will show their true colors here, as they are more than a match for any USEF warship. Last but not least, their landing forces consisting of amphibious transports and their own Alanqa-Class Harbinger Gunships will sweep our land forces into oblivion. Shepherd and his team of Adept Archangels are confident in their skills to stave off all three waves with little effort, but there is a tip of warning: the USEF's Blackwatch Commando, Robert 'Sledge' Cross, will lead the USEF's Blackwatch division into the fight. He is a combatant that can easily match our own variants in a straight-on fight, so keep an eye out for him. Though little is known about Blackwatch, Libra implies they are an elite force within an elite force that are entrusted with some of the most difficult missions to ever grace the Experimental Forces on American soil. And while the Adept Archangels are more impressive than meets the eye, keep them away from heavy anti-air weapons at all costs! The USEF Aegis Cruisers will destroy them in no time with their Medusa Missiles if they manage to fire their salvos at them.

Once the USEF realizes they cannot take Hawaii (even more so once the JSDF Pteranodon squadrons arrive), they will withdraw. Unfortunately, Shepherd was unable to terminate the Blackwatch Commando as the latter beat him to an inch of his life, despite the fact he is just a regular human being in contrast to the ex-CABAL Cyborg Commando...

Mission 13: Giza Pyramid Complex, Egypt: The victory that we secured in the Hawaiian Islands have provided us with some temporary relief in regards to the situation in the Pacific Ocean - we can now temporarily redirect our resources to fighting the Paranormal Division back in Asia, but we shouldn't expect the USEF to take this defeat sitting down. They will come back soon enough in full swing, even more so now that they are aware of newer Adept models entering the battlefield. During the battle, several USEF personnel were left behind as the main force withdrew from Hawaii, and they were eventually captured and incarcerated. While many of them have remained uncooperative as a whole, Shepherd is quite an interrogator himself and has forced the detainees to explain the truth behind their employer's source of power. Needless to say, the answers attained from the interrogation procedures have terrified us. The United States Experimental Forces have possession of an active Chronosphere in the Nevada Desert - Shepherd has confirmed that it is in fact the very first device that Albert Einstein himself constructed back in 1946 as the trump card for the Allied Forces in the event a war with the Soviet Union broke out. The most famous scientist in history never intended his creation to be used for warfare, but the US government had other plans in mind. Unfortunately, the older variant of the Chronosphere is even more unstable than the first prototype unveiled by Kanegawa Military Industries - it is susceptible to generating anomalies such as Chrono Vortexes and killing the passengers of high-occupancy vehicles. The device must be terminated, but considering it is located in the heart of USEF-controlled territories, it will take extensive planning to prepare for the massive assault.

Returning to the African-European Theater of War, the strike team that was sent in to retrieve El Dorado have retreated to the outskirts of Cairo to an unspecified safehouse, where the warlord has some important details to brief the commandos: the Rebellion Army Paranormal Division is trying to excavate something from the Egyptian ruins. He and his people also had a series of 'visions' where an unidentified creature would make its debut in the country, and proceed to initiate a new age of the apocalypse. It is at this moment when our three Valkyrias immediately demanded to be sent to Egypt at once: the Great Pyramids actually conceal important elements of their ancient culture, and the Paranormal Division wants to claim it for themselves for whatever reasons. Matthew at this point has brought up that the revolutionaries want to search for their 'origins' - that is, they believe to be the descendants of the divine females, similar to how Adolf Hitler managed to convince the German people they carried the blood of the Nordic Gods. To make matters worse, Atsuko has provided us with a hypothesis that Admiral Greyfield is indeed more than just a mere human - the madman managed to summon the fabled Penta-Devil God Dragon from the Amazonian Jungle's 'Plutonia' gateway complex, and the mythical beast is en route to Egypt for its revenge. The Paranormal Division forces have also proceeded to converge upon this region in preparation for the arrival of the unholy monster - we can assume it will be used to eradicate the USEF and our own forces.

Considering the threat that the draconic creature poses, the other commandos back in Stuttgart will be transferred at once as the Paranormal Division will attack on all fronts. Matthew, Nathalie, Libra, and Flynn will focus on the primary offensive arm with their assault tactics, while Leon, Adept Sarah, Yunru, and Yuriko will command the defensive perimeters around the pyramids. Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko will take to the skies on the Valkyrian Dragons in preparation for the six hundred-feet tall beast's arrival. The invaders will be accompanied by demonic forces, but Flynn notices they are behaving erratically, such as not firing on their own kin when caught in a crossfire; this could be another clue that Admiral Greyfield has harnessed some sort of control over them. The Future Forces and El Dorado's rebels will do their best to assist our commandos in battle - the warlord himself is armed with what appears to be a customized Slug Armor unit that is exceptionally stronger than any models we've fielded.

The Penta-Devil God Dragon's arrival will eventually prove to what may possibly be our final battle - none of our mightiest military ordnance can so much inflict a scratch to its corrupted physical self, and its godlike firepower will sweep our forces into nonexistence. But none of this will deter the Future Forces and the guerrillas from retreating or surrendering, as the key to survival against the onslaught is buried within the Great Pyramids. While Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko are doing their best to damage the titanic monster with their powers and Valkyrian Dragons, it appears to take barely any damage as it carves a path of destruction through Egypt. Eventually, all of the forces will be ordered to retreat to the Great Pyramid of Giza's northern front for a final stand - even the Valkyrias and their dragons were eventually brought down to near-death, but the unholy five-headed beast was distracted by the sudden arrival of a new USEF invasion force before it could deliver the fatal strike to the fallen demi-goddesses. Use this opportunity to temporarily withdraw and reorganize our survivors.

As our medics do their best to treat the dying Valkyria, the rest of the commandos, troops, and armored units came under onslaught of more Paranormal Division-controlled demons - they know very well that losing here would mean losing the entire war. Just as the entire combat unit prepared to meet doom, the bodies of Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko began to glow brighter than the stars - together, they were levitated into the skies by an inexplicable force before somehow 'fusing' into one entity. Almost immediately, the weakened Valkyrian Dragons regained their lost strength and rejoined this new being into battle - with a mighty roar, the Penta-Devil God Dragon proceeds to fight with previously unseen ferocity and rage, as if it somehow knows about this new player that has entered the scorched battlefield. She has identified herself as Lenneth, or the First/Original Valkyria.

After a grueling battle, Lenneth manages to slay the dragon - much to the awed (and somewhat frightened) sight of our combatants (including El Dorado and his rebel soldiers, whom all bowed with respect as she noticed the weary men and women). She approached our exhausted troops with a gentle expression in spite of what she had to endure earlier, but not before noticing something strange about Flynn 'Mack' Taggart...

Mission 14: Berlin, Germany: The defeat of the Penta-Devil God Dragon has ended the Paranormal Division threat in Africa indefinitely - its death seemed to inflict untold amounts of damage to their morale, and they are fleeing the continent on all fronts. Although the USEF still maintains a strong influence, many of their forces were destroyed by the massive draconic demon and they have no choice but to temporarily retreat and regroup their shattered numbers. The First Valkyria known as Lenneth then explains her story as to her reawakening - thousands of years ago, she fought an apocalyptic battle in this very region against the Gatewatcher. Although she failed and was killed by the Overlord of Hell, fragments of her soul were then scattered into every Valkyria that were still alive. Only in times of great crisis would she be summoned back into the fold, but with a great cost: the Valkyrias that lent their power to her would temporarily 'die' as long as Lenneth remains in her physical state. Therefore, Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko are 'dead' in a sense, which was the bad news she provided to Flynn, Leon, and Matthew. Lenneth does deliver some promises to the trio that had cared for her children for so long, however; she would provide Flynn the affection that Alyssa gifted him with, act as a surrogate family member for Leon in Minami's absence, and ensuring that Matthew will get a chance to spar with her (much to the team's dismay). The Valkyrian Dragons appear to be even more determined, as if Lenneth's mere presence was enough to strengthen their iron-willed souls. She also appears to be content with the presence of Libra, Yunru, and Yuriko - while being chaotic individuals, she sees the goodness in their hearts and accepts them for who they are. When Flynn asked why she was constantly observing her earlier, the Original Valkyria told the revelation: the Doomguy is a vessel for the spirit of the legendary Doom Slayer, her eternal partner in the fight against evil in all of its forms. Before it could be called upon, Flynn must acquire the fabled Praetor Suit, an artifact of unknown origins. El Dorado has mentioned that the Paranormal Division has excavated something called 'The Seraph's Crucible' and have transported it to Berlin, possibly as a stopover before it can be delivered personally to Admiral Greyfield.

Rest was not something we could hope for, as our Stuttgart base reported that our enemies' activities were increasing in Germany's capital, and that we should act fast before Admiral Greyfield could organize an effective response. Our next target is Berlin - with Lenneth at our side, it is time to liberate Germany from the Paranormal Division scum with one decisive full-scale invasion and acquire the Praetor Suit in the process. Three strike teams will move in from the east, west, and south - by encircling the enemy, they will have to divide their military resources to fight us. The Russian survivors liberated from the Jizera Mountains will attack from the south in tandem with the main Regular Army Future Forces's armored divisions, mainly consisting a mixture of ECA and US Loyalist Forces infantry and vehicles alike - Fio, Matthew, and Nathalie will lead them into battle. From the west, another team of Future Forces supplied with the remnants of the Psychic Corps will make their push. Marco, Leon, Adept Sarah, Libra, Yunru, and Yuriko will direct them (hopefully, none of them will drive the older Marine insane). From the east is where our air units will strike - Lenneth has personally requested Flynn to fight alongside her, and she herself will ride Timaeus into battle. She also believes that if the Paranormal Division attempts to send reinforcements from Poland and beyond, they will have to contend with her first. This three-pronged assault has one goal in mind: liberation of the Reichstag. We have confirmation that General Fettgesicht has taken up residence there, so it's up to us to kick his fat slimy ass!

Berlin will devolve into a massive urban battle - virtually every structure has been transformed into a hideout or stronghold for the Paranormal Division, and there's no doubt each and every one of them will have a rocket launcher, heavy machine gun or sniper rifle pointed at our advancing forces. General Fettgesicht has also ordered the usage of the Sturmtiger War Tank to counter our own heavy tanks and to deny cover for our troops - this monster of a vehicle is equipped with a powerful 350mm cannon and is more than capable of destroying even our Ironside Mammoth Tanks in a matter of three direct hits, and a Wraith/M1 Abrams with one. It is also spectacularly deadly at demolishing structures, considering it can punch through an apartment building with a single round. Their mobility is fortunately limited in the streets of the German capital, as they are slightly bigger than an Apocalypse Tank and the whole vehicle must turn to face its targets before pounding them with its naval artillery-class weapon. There are at least sixty Sturmtiger War Tanks on patrol in the city supplemented with more than a thousand tanks and armored fighting vehicles, so don't expect the liberation of Berlin to be any easier even with Lenneth supporting us. Admiral Greyfield will be aware of her presence and will counter with Hell Knights/Barons of Hell coupled with Infernal Arch-Dragons as their mounts. Although we wanted Flynn to support the ground battles with his impressive arsenal, he acknowledges that he cannot lead the commandos forever which is something we will have to respect.

Lenneth's power is further exemplified in this mission. While she has the strengths but none of the weaknesses of the three Valkyria that lent her their power, she has some tricks of her own - mainly involving her usage of the Spear of the Valkyria. With it, she can perform Valkyrian techniques exclusive to her such as casting powerful energy bolts from above and fry anything that they strike, or make the sky rain fireballs composed of holy fire. The Paranormal Division will definitely focus all their air power in their attempts to shoot her out of the sky, so cover her appropriately with the help of our F-44XL Stormchilds. She must find a way to help the Doomguy get to the Praetor Suit somewhere within the Reichstag - it will be heavily defended with Paranormal Division elites but at this point, Flynn should have little to no problems shooting his way through the ruffians.

In one final defiant act, General Fettgesicht will be standing at the rooftop of the Reichstag, his body corrupted with demonic powers combined with the mixture of forbidden energies that drive the Praetor Suit. As our other troops will be busy in the streets, Lenneth will be the only one that can take him on equal footing in his new enhanced state. Aside from using his trademark MG-84 Leichenfaust and a stolen UAC Model-1993 Rocket Launcher, he will also have access to the wicked magic techniques of the Demonic Forces of Hell. While Lenneth is more than a match for the Paranormal Division General, she is still relatively weak after her previous battle and is still trying to adapt properly to her newly resurrected powers and in an environment she hasn't interacted with for several thousand years. If she perishes here, we will lose this battle as her adversary will proceed to destroy what remains our forces - including the conventionally unstoppable Yuriko, as demons appear to be extremely resistant to psychic manipulation and telekinesis.

When the General gasps his last breath and the Regular Army Future Forces' flag is raised over the Reichstag, Germany will be liberated - we will proceed with cleanup operations of the rest of the Paranormal Division forces as required. Unfortunately, Admiral Greyfield has decided to return the compliment with a nuclear strike on the capital...

Mission 15: Moscow, Russia (Stage 1): Our nearly-Pyrrhic victory in Berlin was averted when Admiral Greyfield ordered a nuclear retaliation on the German capital, but the last-minute efforts of our new Psychic Corp allies and some of our troops managed to disable the missiles in flight. The overall success of that mission also gave us some insight of how effective our new M2 Deimos Tanks are - these teleporting main battle tanks will prove to be a worthy additions to our arsenals. The sight of a disabled nuclear missile that crashed right at the front door of the Reichstag only serves as a grim reminder how close we were to complete annihilation as we inched closer to eliminating the Paranormal Division threat. Much to the dismay of Flynn, the Praetor Suit was transported away from Berlin and was taken to St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, meaning we must personally march into the fallen Russian capital and retrieve the legendary armor. It seems that Admiral Greyfield is at least somewhat partially aware of the existence of the Doom Slayer - he knows that should the latter and Lenneth reunite once more, his defeat would all be for certain.

Given the stakes involved of launching one the largest military offensives in recorded history, Kanegawa Military Industries has provided us full access to their Adept Berserkers and Adept Archangels. Unfortunately, our forces back in Japan will be unable to support the European Front, as the Chinese have disallowed our troops from traversing across their lands for mysterious reasons. Yunru has told us that the Eastern Dragon has fallen into multiple warring factions ever since China established a neutrality pact with the rest of the Pacific Front Defense Alliance, and she advises us to prepare for war with our former allies. Libra, Yunru, and Yuriko in particular are rather eager to give it a go against the hostile Chinese forces, although the other commandos have suggested of a less reckless route as after all, the three psionic girls have grown to be a part of the so-called SV-001 Commando family. Shepherd will consider possible options on how to deal with a potential conflict with China, since most of the Future Forces are currently in Europe. But if necessary, he will lead the forces back in Japan, which mostly consist of Adepts and the Psychic Corps, given the undermanned nature of the Regular Army for the time being.

The Paranormal Division has transformed Moscow into a nigh-impregnable fortress that the Russians could only ever dream of constructing - their massive zeppelins blot the skyline, thousands of their vehicles of war roam across the battle-torn pavements of the roads, and millions of their soldiers are on standby and will fervently defend their new capital with everything they have in their inventories and spirits. As a conventional invasion of Russia will consume unimaginable amounts of lives and military resources, the Regular Army has approached Kanegawa Military Industries to request for their newest weapon of mass destruction: Cold Fusion Bombs (essentially, energy bombs with the power of a tactical nuclear warhead but none of the fallout developed from the Experimental Beam technologies). Therefore, Regular Army commanders have decided to resort to the unthinkable - in an effort to quickly destroy the large concentrations of Paranormal Division forces, Reaper Multirole Stealth Bombers equipped with these weapons will be ordered to penetrate deep into enemy lines to cut out a large chunk of their defenses, thus allowing our conventional ground forces to make their march into Moscow undeterred. F-44XL Stormchilds will act as escorts for the bombers, as they are the only ones capable of going toe-to-toe with the Horten HO-550s. Some commanders have even opted to drop one on the Kremlin itself to ensure Admiral Greyfield is killed for sure, but Lenneth is uncertain about the idea and even claims that the madman can absorb energy explosions and become stronger as a result. Once the frontline is cleared, heavy units such as Ironside Mammoth Tanks, Apocalypse Tanks, and Megalodon Avatar Warmechs will lead the charge across the ruined defense lines.

Flynn 'Mack' Taggart will personally enter St. Basil's Cathedral to claim the Praetor Suit - that is, after going through the snowy urban environment that will be stained with the blood of both the liberators and the occupiers. Once he acquires it after shooting through neverending waves of Paranormal Division troops, the Marine will undergo a dramatic transformation that will alter his life forever, as he will be reborn as the legendary Doom Slayer Lenneth mentioned earlier. The Doomguy in his new state will become the ultimate terror to our enemies, as his powers are increased tenfold (but he is still mortal), allowing him to scrap even Sturmtiger War Tanks without too much trouble. The integrated artificial intelligence system in his suit (codenamed VEGA) will provide all the necessary guidance to assist the fabled warrior, so he will be able to take care of himself even if he is cut off from friendly lines. The Kremlin itself is so heavily defended that it will take months' worth of siege to break - allow Lenneth, Doom Slayer, the Adepts, and our heaviest tanks and artillery to crack it. We can expect the siege to take at least seventy to accomplish, so be prepared for a grueling battle. Our commandos will lead a strike team that will infiltrate the Kremlin itself and shoot Greyfield in the head - Leon wishes to do this, as it was him that delivered the execution shot in the previous timeline.

Admiral Greyfield will soon present himself as a force unlike no other - upon encountering him within the Kremlin, he will display his demonic powers in full fervor and effectively beat our commandos down as if they were nothing with his bare fists and newly-attained powers alone. Another frightening power is revealed on his behalf after he personally challenges Lenneth as the latter tries to come to the aid of the decimated commandos - he has the ability to weaken the Original Valkyria to the point where he is able to physically split them back into the original manifestations of Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko. With the Doom Slayer occupied fighting the rest of the Paranormal Division and their demonic allies within Moscow, the mastermind of the occult organization will have almost free reign against Matthew, Nathalie, Leon, and the Valkyrias. The dictator has also lured them into a force field of some type, disallowing them any chances of escaping from the city. The ensnared team will have to persevere by themselves...

The Future Forces have no choice but to withdraw and leave the trapped strike team behind, as conventional weapons have no effect against Greyfield whatsoever - Matthew has demanded the Doom Slayer and the rest of his forces to not come to their rescue, as that is exactly what Greyfield wishes for. The legendary warrior is persistent but with the odds stacked against him, there is little that even he can do... he orders Adepts Dean and Sarah, along with the rest of the army, to stand their ground, knowing full well that retreating will only delay their inevitable deaths.

Mission 15: Moscow, Russia (Stage 2): As the Regular Army and its allies continue a desperate siege to take the Paranormal Division out of the picture once and for all, the Doom Slayer was able to receive some news of relief - both Marco and Fio, stationed back in Stuttgart, have contacted him with some surprising news: the US Experimental Forces is en route from Kazakhstan with a large taskforce to assist in the liberation of Moscow! The American renegades had previously pushed out the Paranormal Division after they were able to recapture the Leninsk/Baikonur Cosmodrome, and are now en route to the Russian capital to deliver their own strike to topple Admiral Greyfield. They have made it clear that they are not here to help us in our hour of need, but to permanently silence Greyfield before he is able to pull his ultimate trump card: summon the Titan Demon, a kilometer-tall monstrosity that has slayed gods and mortals alike with ease, from Hell. The one commander leading this assault is Captain Robert 'Sledge' Cross, one of the USEF's most feared commandos and a combatant in the clandestine Blackwatch Division - and much to the Doom Slayer's surprise, Captain Cross is also donning a Praetor Suit, albeit one with a black-colored scheme in contrast to Flynn 'Mack' Taggart's dark-emerald green scheme. Apparently, the Experimental Forces commando acquired the suit from the UAC's 'Plutonia' complex after the Penta-Devil God Dragon's escape - the corporation was hiding an example of such a suit there and in order to prevent the Paranormal Division from acquiring it, the Blackwatch team was sent there to reclaim it. Of all the personnel that tried to come in contact with the unholy armor, none survived instant death or permanent insanity. Robert was the only one that could interact with the relic and see the truth - Admiral Greyfield has seized complete control over all Demonic Forces of Hell on Earth, giving him an immense army to to work with. Now, the madman is on a mission to eliminate everything that poses a threat to his survival: the Valkyrias and the Doom Slayer caste.

The United States Experimental Forces will invade Moscow with a titanic army consisting of almost every land vehicle and aircraft in their arsenal - from their standard Paladin Assault Tanks all the way to the rarely-seen yet fearsome Thermobaric M1 Abrams. They have made it clear they will not fire on us, but won't hesitate to break that policy should we get in their way or try to abuse this moment of temporary truce. Captain Robert Cross himself is an army all by himself - he is equipped with exotic weaponry such as an arm-mounted grenade launcher/railgun, and standard firearms such as the USEF Storm Rifle and Atchisson AA-12. On top of that, his own variant of the Praetor Suit effectively makes him borderline invincible (but he is not immortal, so keep that in mind). He will be entering the battlefield on his own customized Thermobaric M1 Abrams and he, along with a good portion of the accompanying army, will be temporarily placed under our command. Use these newly-acquired reinforcements to break through the Paranormal Division lines and link up with the scattered forces and most importantly, the Doom Slayer and his accompanying Adepts. When asked about our previous skirmishes with the USEF, Captain Cross has simply brushed it off as a petty matter at most and it's more or less the norm of the art of warfare. As an individual holding the title of a Doom Slayer himself, he has accepted the duty to come to the aid of the trapped Valkyrias but is not afraid to remind us to not get too comfortable with his gratitude.

Do keep in mind that while the USEF army rivals in size of that of the Paranormal Division's, constant reinforcements streaming in from Siberia and hellish portals will mean that Admiral Greyfield gaining an upper hand is unavoidable if you give him the chance to do so. Use the Mastodons and Lockdowns to keep enemy forces at bay from a good distance, and allow the Paladins and Shockwaves to rip them apart by the masses. A single Thermobaric M1 Abrams can and will destroy even Sturmtigers in a head-on battle, as the aforementioned USEF tanks have special alloys in their armor that grants them the ability to survive the onslaught (to an extent) of the 400mm cannons. Captain Cross is en route to the Kremlin itself to personally challenge Greyfield, and he would definitely appreciate it if Major Taggart is able to make an appearance there alongside him. The Russians fighting on our side are showing a sense of distaste for their newfound saviors, but anyone willing to drive out the current occupiers from Moscow is an ally to them.

The Doom Slayer duo's arrival to the ruined Kremlin will present a rather interesting sight: Admiral Greyfield is now a demon that rivals the nightmarish Cyberdemons in size, and he has Minami, Alyssa, and Atsuko on the verge of death while Matthew, Nathalie, and Leon are still enduring his onslaught. However, since the maddened dictator is still relatively inexperienced in the usage of his newfound 'gift', our commandos haven't felt his true wrath yet... now Major Taggart and Captain Cross must take the stage here and kick his bones to the ends of time - so take it to Greyfield and unleash the Doom Slayers' entire arsenal on him. Both are immune to Greyfield's influence and specialized defenses, so they will not struggle as much as the other members did against him. Unfortunately, just before they could sufficiently weaken the supreme dictator and conclude his mad reign once and for all, Greyfield warped away to an unspecified location somewhere on the globe, warning the combatants that their next confrontation will be the last one they will ever witness in their lives...

Shortly after Greyfield's withdrawal, almost all contact with our bases and garrisons in Europe have been lost. The last transmission received from Berlin was paraphrased as the following: A rain of fiery projectiles almost as bright as the Sun, as if whoever is up in the cosmos just delivered the final punishment upon us...
