Chapter 37
After getting out of the Elevator from the tower, they see a door in front of them.
"We are here, this is the gym entrance." Irena says.
"It looks like my gym." Clemont says.
"You can thank Ash for thinking it." David says.
As Bonnie places her Pokedex, the voice says, "Welcome to the Rotaeel Gym, the difficulty of this gym is 6 badges, how many badges do you have?"
Misty asks, "Wait, it has restrictions of the badges?"
Mark says, "You should see how Brother tries to go in Clemont's gym."
Ash says, "When I said no, it shocked me and throw me off the tower."
"Really?" Aurora asks.
"I am sorry about that." Clemont says.
Bonnie says, "Six badges."
"Very well, you may proceed." The door opens as the field that is made of iron walls appear.
"Nice design for a Steel Type Gym, right?" Diantha asks.
"It really does look nice." Serena says.
Irena says, "Irceus, I need your judgement." She throws a Pokeball and the Pokemon appears.
Irceus, the Steel Alpha Pokemon. Steel Type. It is born from the Iron Plate, Irceus can use the Steel type power given by Arcues.
"So it is not Arceus?" Professor Elm asks.
"No." Professor Oak says. "In fact, there are already three Arceus in the room."
"The battle between Gym Leader David and challenger Max is about to begin, each trainer can use up to 3 Pokemon, when one side lost all the Pokemon, the other side wins. In this gym battle, there will be no limit with the Mega Evolution. Z moves can be used once in one Pokemon. And Star Badges can be used once per battle."
"Here goes, Max. Invebot!" He sends out his first Pokemon.
"Ducwave! I need your help!" Max says as the Pokemon appears.
Palermo asks, "So Diantha, who do you think will win?"
Diantha says, "I am not sure, Mother. Since they are interesting trainers."
Ducwave uses Water Pulse first, Ivenbot uses Iron Defense to block the attack, then it uses Bullet Punch, which hurts a lot. After some hits, Max says, "Now let's do this!"
He does the Z pose and says, "Technical Attack!"
Ducwave uses the surf board to attack and eventually defeat Ivanbot.
Misty says, "That Pokemon is amazing!"
"Are you saying that because it is a Water Type?" Dawn teases.
"And what is wrong with that?" Misty says back.
David says, "Well, here is my second Pokemon. Melmetal."
As the Pokemon appears, Max asks, "What is that Pokemon?"
Professor Oak says, "It is Melmetal. Ash was the first one who found it back when he was at Alola."
Melmetal uses Double Iron Bash and it defeats Ducwave, so Max sends out Quiswallow. Both Pokemon fight hard, but in the end, it ends a draw due to the Double Iron Bash and Earthquake.
Both trainers lock their eyes and send out their final Pokemon, which turns out to be Jirachi.
"A Jirachi battle..." Sabrina says. "I can see this is interesting."
"Indeed." Giovanni says.
After both decide to use Z moves, they yell, "Breaking Wishes!"
Both Pokemon use the powered up version of Doom Desire. And the attack hits both of them.
After the smoke clears, both Jirachi are down, but Max's get up first.
"David's Jirachi is unable to battle, Max's wins. Which means the victory goes to Max."
"Thank you Jirachi." Max says as he hugs him.
David smiles and says, "Max. You did a great job. Here is the Invention Badge that you earned."
Max gets the badge and thanks him. Aurora says, "It seems like Max and Bonnie are getting stronger."
Palermo says, "Indeed. Maybe they can give Ash great challenge."
As Irena and Bonnie goes to the field, Irena says, "Well, Bonnie. I hope you can hole back a little since I am a coordinating type."
"I'll try." Bonnie says.
Irena says, "Here is my first Pokemon Guargate!"
As the house like Pokemon appears, Bonnie sends out Hiport.
"Now let's start off with Heavy Slam." Irena says.
Then a giant iron appears and it hits Hiport. Gladion says, "What a wierd Heavy Slam."
Cilan says, "I guess it can't move after all."
After the two Pokemon battles well, Guargate decides to use Self Destruct to make it a draw.
The second Pokemon Irena uses is Planiger, Bonnie chooses Granbeak and mega evolve. The two Pokemon fight well until Planiger uses the Z move, Metal Rush, it knocks the bird out from the sky and it is finished with Thunder Fang.
"Squishy!" Bonnie says as her Zygarde appears in the 10% form.
"So you are using Squishy, huh?" Irena says. Planiger is defeated by Thousand Waves, so Irena sends out her last Pokemon. Much to everyone's shock.
"A Dialga?" Dawn asks.
"A Dialga indeed." David says. "Since Zygarde is a Dragon Type after all."
Dialga often uses Roar of Time, which really gives Squishy a challenge. But when Squishy uses the 50% Form, it defeats Dialga with Land's Wrath.
"Dialga is unable to battle, Zygarde wins, which means the winner is Bonnie."
"Yay! Squishy!" Bonnie hugs the Pokemon.
Irena recalls her Pokemon and says, "Great battle, Bonnie. Here is the Invention Badge."
Bonnie gets the badge and thanks her. Then they all go to the top of the roof together.
"Wow, the view here is really great." Dawn says.
"Indeed." Ash says. "From there we can see Mt. Fortana. It will be where the next Gym is."
Lillie says, "Mt. Fortana is also a place where you can find fossils."
"Well, I will like to try find a new Fossil." Brock says.
After they get back down from the tower, they decide to split up once more. Aurora also joins the group to travel while Brock wants to go to Mt. Fortana.
"I wonder what will be there?" Serena asks.
"Who knows." Gladion says as they head towards the place.
