Chapter 34: "Trapped!"

**** Trapped! ****
It was the dead of night and at the Dark Kingdom. Zoicite and Kunzite
faced Queen Beryl. She wanted all the Rainbow Crystals. She spoke with
them.
"Our track record to gain control of all seven Rainbow Crystals hasn't
been good. We have two Rainbow Crystals. The Senshi has three Rainbow
Crystals and Tuxedo Kamen has two Rainbow Crystals. How do we get the others?"
Queen Beryl asked. Zoicite and Kunzite thought for a moment and then Kunzite
spoke.
"How about we kidnap Tsukino, Usagi. We know already she's Sailor Moon. We
will have to capture her in the dead of night to keep her from fighting
us and then we will reveal to the Senshi that we have Usagi and we will
ask for a ransom and our price, they must surrender their Rainbow Crystals
over to us, however when they do, we will keep Usagi as a ploy to get Tuxedo
Kamen to surrender his Rainbow Crystals to us. Then after we get his Rainbow
Crystals, Tsukino, Usagi will be your prisoner forever!"
Kunzite revealed his plan to Queen Beryl. Queen Beryl smiled and she spoke.
"Good. Then I suggest you take this rope. This rope will not only bind her,
but it will zap and drain her energy. Go Kunzite! Make it happen!"
Queen Beryl spoke as she handed to Kunzite the magical rope. Kunzite patiently
waited until night came upon Tokyo and he decided that he would kidnap Usagi
in the dead of night at the stroke of midnight. Midnight came and Kunzite
appeared in Usagi's room and he muzzled her mouth so Usagi couldn't cry out
and he bound her up with the magical rope and Kunzite vanished with Usagi.
Moments later, Kunzite appeared with Usagi. Queen Beryl looked pleased.
"Good job Kunzite! Now we give an ultimatum to those Senshi for them to hand
over the Rainbow Crystals. Now with Usagi in our control, she is helpless
to stop us!"
Queen Beryl congratulated Kunzite on his capture of Usagi. Queen Beryl
decided to wait a few days to give the ultimatum to the Sailor Senshi.
In the meantime, Usagi woke up being the prisoner of Kunzite. She already
felt weak from the constant zapping of the magical rope.
"What do you want with me?"
Usagi asked.
"It's not you we want! You are the bait for your friends and Tuxedo Kamen.
See, with you as our prisoner, the others will have no choice to surrender
the Rainbow Crystals to us!"
Kunzite revealed to Usagi. Usagi was shocked. Meanwhile, two days later, the
Senshi had a meeting. They were discussing what had happened to Usagi. No one
had seen her, Mamoru called Rei.
"Hino residence, Rei speaking?"
Rei answered.
"Rei, this is Mamoru. I have a question for you."
Mamoru asked.
"Go ahead."
Rei replied.
"Have you seen Usagi? I hadn't seen her in days. It's like she disappeared."
Mamoru asked.
"We haven't seen her Mamoru. Could she be in trouble some how?"
Rei asked in a worried tone.
"I don't know Rei. Can you let me know if you find her?"
Mamoru asked.
"Yes, I will let you know if we find anything."
Rei answered again.
"Thank you Rei. I am very worried for her. Something tells me she is in grave
danger!"
Mamoru spoke his concerns and he hung up the phone. Rei turned to the others and
spoke.
"Mamoru hasn't seen Usagi either."
Rei revealed to the others. Luna looked very worried.
"Where is she? What happened to Usagi?"
Luna asked.
"I can't locate her anywhere in Tokyo on my mini computer."
Ami revealed.
"Do you think that she is in danger?"
Makoto asked.
"I don't know girls. Usagi worked hard to turn the Rainbow Crystal carriers
to normal and now Usagi hasn't been seen in days."
Luna spoke in a worried tone again. Then the image of Kunzite appeared in the
sky and he spoke to the Sailor Senshi to the point to where only the Sailor Senshi
could hear him. Kunzite spoke.
"Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus! I have an ultimatum
that you cannot refuse! You four will come to Tokyo Harbor at midnight tonight and
surrender your Rainbow Crystals to me. And if you don't, your friend Usagi will die
if you don't surrender your Rainbow Crystals to me. I will do an exchange with you,
you hand over your Rainbow Crystals and in exchange, I will release Usagi to your
care. Be there at Tokyo Harbor tonight at midnight. Farewell."
The image of Kunzite spoke and vanished. Rei and Ami looked at each other with
great worry and concern.
"So, Usagi was taken captive by Kunzite? I wonder how long Usagi had been held captive
by Kunzite?"
Rei asked.
"Who knows. I am sure Usagi's conditions are not that great. We must rescue her!"
Ami answered.
"Girls, we must not get too hasty or Usagi will get hurt. We must answer Kunzite's demands
in order to save Usagi."
Luna suggested.
"So, we must wait patiently until midnight tonight to try to save Usagi."
Makoto spoke. The Senshi had the painful task of waiting until midnight.
"Now girls, transform!"
Luna commanded.
"Mercury Power!"
"Mars power!"
"Jupiter Power!"
"Venus Power!"
The girls cried.
"MAKE UP!"
They shouted in unison and transformed. Then the Senshi, Luna and Artemis left
for Tokyo Harbor. Minutes later they arrived at the Tokyo Harbor. Kunzite
spoke and stopped them.
"That's far enough!"
Kunzite yelled as he appeared.
"Show us Usagi first and then we will hand over the Rainbow Crystals!"
Mars yelled at Kunzite.
"Very well, I suppose you should see your friend before you surrender
your Rainbow Crystals to me."
Kunzite answered snapping his fingers revealing Usagi all bound up by
magical rope and hanging from a huge crane. Usagi looked very bad. She
looked like she hadn't slept in days. Mercury scanned Usagi from where
she was standing and saw that the rope kept Usagi from regaining her energy.
Mercury looked very concerned. Then Kunzite spoke again. Usagi saw the Sailor
Senshi. She tried using the energy that she had left to try to communicate
with them.
"Help me... please..."
Usagi mustered the strength that she had left to speak to the Senshi. Then
Senshi tried to advance closer to Usagi but Kunzite stopped them.
"One step closer and I will zap Usagi with my sword."
Kunzite warned them.
"Usagi, be brave and hang on. We will get you out of this!"
Luna tried to comfort Usagi.
"Please don't surrender those Crystals to him! We worked so hard to
get those Crystals! Please don't do it!"
Usagi protested.
"We have no choice Usagi! We must surrender them so you can be safe in our
care!"
Artemis explained.
"Now, surrender those Rainbow Crystals! There's a platter on the ground in
front of you. Place your crystals and then back away!"
Kunzite ordered. Sailor Jupiter had the three Rainbow Crystals in her hands
and then brought them to the platter and left them there and she backed off.
Usagi watched as Jupiter placed the crystals on the platter.
"NO! WE WORKED HARD TO GET THOSE CRYSTALS!"
Usagi yelled as she saw that Jupiter gave up the crystals that they worked hard
to get. Mercury responded to Usagi.
"You are more important to us than those crystals."
Mercury answered Usagi. Usagi hung her head in despair. The others gave up their crystals
so she could be free.
"Now Kunzite, we kept our part of the bargain, now do your part!"
Sailor Venus demanded. Kunzite laughed.
"You fell right into our trap! We never planned on releasing Usagi into your care!
Now we have your crystals! Usagi will be our prisoner forever!"
Kunzite laughed as he took possession of the Senshi's Rainbow Crystals and he vanished
with the Rainbow Crystals and with Usagi.
"Oh no! He tricked us!"
Sailor Mars commented.
"What will we do now?"
Sailor Venus asked.
"I don't know girls. I fear that Usagi's condition didn't look that great. We have
to find a way to save her."
Luna spoke with great concern for Usagi.
"What do we do now, Luna?"
Sailor Jupiter asked.
"I really don't know girls. This is the toughest situation that we have ever been in.
We need to find a way to rescue Usagi before she dies."
Luna answered. The Senshi returned to the Hikawa Shrine and discussed on how they
can save Usagi from Kunzite. At the Dark Kingdom Kunzite revealed the Rainbow Crystals
that they stole from the Senshi.
"Good work Kunzite. Now you must steal the Crystals from Tuxedo Kamen! I hope you
succeed Kunzite."
Queen Beryl told him. Usagi lay motionless on the floor all bound up. She was still
awake but she was extremely weak. She thought to herself.
'They couldn't rescue me... I am going to die here... oh the despair I feel...'
Usagi thought to herself. She never been in a situation like this before. Mamoru
stood on the balcony of his apartment. He thought about Usagi and then an image
of Kunzite appeared in the sky to where Mamoru could only see or hear him.
"Tuxedo Kamen, if you care for the life of Tsukino, Usagi, you will meet me at
the Starlight Tower tonight at Midnight and you will surrender your Rainbow Crystals
to me and exchange, I will release Usagi to you. if you value her life, you will meet
me tonight at the Starlight Tower and then you will surrender the your Rainbow Crystals
in exchange for your precious Usagi Tsukino. Doesn't she mean a lot to you?"
Kunzite asked.
"Yes, I will do as you say."
Mamoru answered.
"Beryl told me that you also may try to duel Zoicite for the Rainbow Crystals as well
as for Usagi. Doesn't she mean something to you?"
Kunzite asked.
"Very well. I will do as you suggest. I will meet you tonight at midnight at the Starlight
Tower."
Mamoru answered.
"very well. See you then!"
Kunzite smiled and vanished. Mamoru had a tough fight ahead of him. He must save Usagi.
Her life now is now in his hands. Time for her is running out!
