So...I've finally got inspiration to write again. It's a way to keep away my thoughts and make me feel better.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This book is going to be part of a series as I mentioned before. However, this series will have more than 3 books. I'm thinking anywhere from 4-7. Comment on how many books you think there should be. :)
Enjoy!
Recap: With those final words, she passed out from exhaustion. Sebastian smiled down at her, brushing her soft hair from her face.
"I can't wait.."
Sebastian was woken up by a trembling figure next to him. He opened his eyes to find Ib shaking, trying not to show her obvious fear.
Sebastian was jolted again when a streak of lightning flashed outside the window before the echoing boom of thunder resounded, making Ib cower farther. He smiled a little as he wrapped her in his arms. To him, she looked 10 years old again.
Flashback
He could still remember that night. It was the first night storm they had encountered in the 2 weeks since they had retuned. The twins were looking healthier and seemed to be taking over the company nicely. Sebastian had just put them Ciel to bed when it rolled in.
He had been walking down the hall, going to prepare for the next day when there was a particularly loud clap of thunder. He heard a soft scream followed by the soft patter of footsteps running through the hall towards him.
He was stopped mid step by a small figure in a night gown, her long brown hair in a ponytail and her feet bare. She latched onto his leg, burying her face in his stomach.
Sebastian had not revived much contact from her, he thought she didn't even like him. Yet here was little Ib, clutching desperately to him like a lifeline.
He broke her grip, taking her tiny hands in his as he met her frightened and tearful gaze. She tried to avoid eye contact but was unsuccessful when Sebastian gripped her chin and turned her face towards him. Her cheeks flushed as she pushed him away and began to stagger back to her room. Sebastian watched fondly before lifting her up so her legs wrapped around him and her arms were looped around his neck. She nuzzled his shoulder and fell asleep in exhaustion.
He took her back to her room, and tried to move her without waking her. But she had a very firm grip. That and the face she was making in her sleep was too cute.
Of course, Sebastian Michaelis could beat anybody in a fight but couldn't pry off an adorable sleeping child.
He sighed and sat back, leaving her on his lap and falling asleep himself with her nestled in his arms.
End flashback
Ib sleepily wrapped her arms around his neck, letting him move her between his legs so he completely surrounded her. She snuggled into him before falling back asleep.
Sebastian held her, careful not to crush her, ensuring her safety.
The next morning was bright and sunny, a truly glorious day. However, it was not the sunlight that would wake Ib, it was the sinful hands that trailed up and down her back paired with sharp nips on her neck as Sebastian began to tease her.
She moaned, slowly opening her eyes.
"Sebastian, what time is it?" she asked, half awake. He smiled at her.
"It happens to be 7, which means you should get up. " He chided. She groaned and rolled over, snuggling back into the pillows and pulling the blankets over her head.
Sebastian sighed before yanking the blankets away from her, catching her wrist as she desperately reached for her only source of cover.
He then pulled her towards him so they were suddenly nose to nose. He tried to give her a stern look but that was ruined when she planted a light kiss on the tip of his nose and reclaimed the blankets, cocooning herself inside of them.
Sebastian smirked, lifting her entire form up with one arm and searching through the blankets with the other until he found her face.
She popped out, grasped his face by the cheeks and kissed him deeply, effectively distracting him as the blanket fell from her body and hit the floor. Her legs automatically wrapped around his waist and she pulled him back down onto the bed for a vigorous round of morning sex.
"You sure you know what you're doing?" Soma asked. Sebastian nodded.
"You said so yourself, the curry is just as good as Agni's." Sebastian replied. Ib and Ciel stood side by side and Ib had finally been able to remove her eyepatch as her eye had returned to normal.
Sebastian went backstage as the Phantomhive twins and Prince Soma wandered about befote taking their places in front of the stage and watched the competitors make their way out.
Ib clapped politely but kept her eyes trained on Sebastian. They were about to start when loud murmurs broke the tense silence.
"It's the Queen!" Ciel stage whispered to his twin. Ib glanced at the small figure in a black veil before returning her sight to Ciel.
"I thought she doesn't come out in public that often anymore. " Ib whispered back.
The crowd parted, allowing the Queen and her assistant to move forth. The Queen moved and sat at a nearby chair before turning to watch the contest.
The crowd quieted once more and the cooking began.
Right off the bat, it was obvious who the real competitors were. Agni and Sebastian left the second rate nobody's in the dust.
The crowd oohed at the speed which Agni was adding the different spices. They then laughed and murmured skeptically when Sebastian pulled out a chocolate bar and broke it, letting the broken pieces tumble into the curry.
Ib almost laughed. She knew he would take their advice. Soma's eyes were like wide saucers when he noticed the chocolate.
"Of course...I forgot that chocolate is a good ingredient in curry. It helps to balance out the flavours. " he said, nodding in approval. "Sebastian just might win this. "
All of the curries finished and were ready to sampled. The other three received scathing reviews while Agni received nothing but praise. Finally, confusion ensued when Sebastian tossed some of his curry that was wrapped in dough into a frying pan.
The crowed became even more disdainful at this. Ciel raised an eyebrow and looked at his sister who looked just as confused.
He gave his butler a WTF look and Sebastian stared back smugly. He had this.
The demon placed the curry doughnuts in front of the judges and watched their faces light up at the wonderful taste.
Sebastian too received only praise on his cooking skills.
The chefs were dismissed as the judges left to decide, and samples were open to the public. Sebastian walked over to the twins who were beaming.
"Well done, Sebastian. " Ciel congratulated him. Sebastian bowed a little.
"A butler that can't do this much isn't worth his salt. " he reminded them. He then turned to Ib and whispered in her ear. "I better get a reward for this."
"You will, don't worry. " She whispered back before he straightened up.
She watched as Sebastian's eyes widened and the next thing she knew, Sebastian had tackled her, barely dodging a plate that went flying in their direction.
They looked up to see a dark skinned woman in a sari throwing objects and knocking people out.
"Meena? " Soma said before racing forth, grasping her wrists and attempting to stop her. She broke free and slapped him across the face...hard.
"Brat!" she screamed at him. " You ungrateful little fool! You've never even known love, you were neglected by your parents and given to a nanny who never truly loved you either, how pathetic! "
Soma staggered back like she had slapped him again.
" You've always had everything handed to you, everything you've ever wanted. And I guess you want me to come back, am I right? "
Prince Soma was speechless.
"Well, guess what. I AM NEVER GOING BACK!" she screamed before throwing more plates. Others began to throw plates as well while their demeanors changed to a dark aura, resembling that of Meena's. Ib and Sebastian scrambled to their feet, desperately looking for Ciel and Soma.
When they found him, Ciel seemed to be doing quite well on his own. He was keeping the offenders back using his walking stick and was then protected by Sebastian as Ib grabbed him and ran.
The twins ducked behind the sample table where they found Soma hiding, tears running down his face.
"What's wrong, Soma?" Ib asked, gently poking his cheek. He sniffled.
"Love...she's right.I don't know what it is. " he sobbed. She frowned at him before reaching up and handing him a curry bun.
"Here, have this...its made with love. "she gave it to him. He took a large bite, letting the mix of flavours swirl together and fill him with warmth.
"Wow...I actually feel better. " Soma hummed, all tears gone as he devoured the rest of the bun.
"You do?" Ciel asked. The twins looked at each other with wide eyes as they realized a solution to the brawl behind them. Ib was about to say something but was cut off by hands reaching out from under the tablecloth and dragging her under.
"Ib!" Ciel screamed, throwing up the cover only to find her gone. All that was left was the ribbon from her hair sitting pathetically on the floor.
A/N: Well, that only took forever. I'm so so sorry for not updating but I have been hella busy lately and really haven't had the motivation to finish the chapter.
So...I decided to write this extra long chapter as an apology. I'm so sorry friends. :'(
That's all I got.
Ta for now!
