Hermione had been hurt many times before.
When she was two, she fell, scraped her knee, and cried.
During First Year (and most of her time at Hogwarts, actually), she was bullied for being smart.
During Sixth Year, she developed a crush on Ron, and he chose Lavender over her.
But this was different.
On the Horcrux hunt, she fell in love with Harry.
Real, proper love.
And that didn't hurt, at first. But the worst was yet to come.
The worst hurt that Hermione Granger had ever felt was seeing Harry and Ginny together when everything was over.
