Jonouchi's POV

I was with Ryou and for now he was stable but resting. Yugi came into the clinic area, "How is Ryou doing?"

"Fine for now…" Yugi smiled. "Good." Yugi sighed. He stayed by Ryou's side with a worried look. "Marik was involved with this duel...Yami and I could feel it."

"What but that was Yami Bakura who was talking."

"I know yet Marik was willing to sacrifice Ryou but Yami Bakura needed to protect Ryou."

"So he stepped in and ruined Marik's plans." Yugi nodded and this just made me angry. "THAT LOW LIFE! I SWEAR I'LL BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF HIM ONE WAY OF ANOTHER!" Yugi gave a shy smile. "Duelist come to the main chamber to see the next match up." I looked over at Yugi. "Alright time to get this match." Anzu smiled. "I'll stay with Ryou okay."

"Alright Anzu."

We made it to the main chamber. The lottery machine activated and picked two numbers. "Number four Jonouchi Katsuya!"

"Yea! Now who is the poor sap I'm dueling." The machine gave the second number. "Number 2 Marik Ishtar." I glared at the big guy. I'm going to beat him.

We headed up to the duel deck and I glared at that bald headed freak. We shuffled our decks and I kept my glare going. "Uh…Jonouchi…that is enough shuffling." I gave Marik back his deck. "Fine…YOU ARE GOING DOWN!" I drew five cards as the wind picked up and nearly blew them off the blimp. "Oh shit!" I caught them and returned my attention to the duel. "I summon Gearfried the iron knight in attack mode. I end my turn."

Jonouchi: 4000

Marik: 4000

"I activate the spell card Temple of the Kings." I gasped as an ancient tomb appeared behind Marik. "What does that do?"

"It allows me to play two traps instead of one in one turn. So I play two cards face down and end my turn." I smirked…I am not afraid of any trap. He must be waiting for me to attack but I will get rid of those trap cards before I attack. "I summon Tiny guardian, and end my turn." Marik frowned. "I set two more cards face down and end my turn." I smirked. I summoned Hayabusa knight. "Now I activate the Magic card Giant Trunade to wipe out your cards."

"That won't work." The card then just disappeared without wiping out his traps. "You thought my cards was going to activate with an attack yet you are wrong. Your trap was activated my trap Judgement of Anubis." This card destroyed all my monsters. "Shit!"

Jonouchi: 1900

Marik: 4000

Yugi's POV

I watched Jonouchi's duel and cringed as his monsters were destroyed. Honda gasped "Holy shit…Jonouchi fell for that trap." Mai then frowned. "That Marik guy has a really deadly combo." I agreed with Mai. "Yea…Trap cards have the ability to do major damage, not only that, it could shake up a duelist mind set if the trap is serious enough." I frowned, worrying for Jonouchi, the look in his eyes though told me otherwise.

Jonouchi's POV

"Ha…you think a little trap like that will scare me? Listen up tattoo freak…I sprung your trap on purpose. You aren't the first Duelist to make me fired up. Now the real game started." Marik glared. "So bring it on you bald freak…Do your worst."

"I play a card face down and end my turn." I clenched my teeth. Another face down, does this guy have no monsters? "I summon Alligator sword in attack mode." This guy has four face down cards so I have to be careful. I could feel my nerve itching to attack that smug face Marik gave. "I play a card face down and…end my turn."

"I end my turn without doing anything." Oh that was just low…I wanted to attack so badly. "I summon Rocket warrior to the field." I can't sit on my ass any longer! "I transform Rocket warrior into its ultimate form and attack."

"I activate the trap card Eye of Wdjat! Now I can control your Rocket warrior and attack Alligator swords." I smirked. "Nope not happening, I activate the card Fariy Box! Now your attack fails and I found a big loop hole in your deck." I gloated at my theory. "You don't have any monsters in your deck! As long as I get rid of your traps…you are wide open for a direct attack." Marik smiled. "You just don't get it…you have fallen deep in my trap. You are right to know that this deck is made up of mostly trap and magic cards…but once I overcome that weakness…my deck will beat you." He drew and smirked. "I will show you what I mean…I activate the card, Embodiment of Apophis!"

"What!" Marik smirked. "This trap card acts as a monster. Not only that I activate three more Embodiment of Apophis." Oh crap! "You fell for my trap Jonouchi." I knew I had Scape goat to help stop an attack but…with three of those snake creeps I wouldn't last long. "I attack with my three Apophis warriors!"

"I activate my spell card Scape goat!"

"That won't work Boy! I activate despell!"

Jonouchi: 200

Marik: 4000

Oh shit! I didn't think I could beat him but then my sister shouted. "Don't give up Ni-sama! Please you got this!" then Mai started to yell at me. "Yea don't give up you idiot! Not when your sister is here." Marik frowned. "Jonouchi…why did you join the tournament?" I looked over at Yugi and I could sense the Yami was watching me as well. "Well…I have a friend that I have to duel in the finals…so I fought hard to get to where I am now…because I promised him that I will duel him as a true duelist." I looked up and smirked. "I can't quit here…not after all the duels I've gone through already!"

Yami's POV

"Yugi…may I take over?" Yugi nodded and let me take over. I smiled as Jonouchi gained confidence. "Go Jonouchi! You got this!" I cheered on for him. Jonouchi smirked.

Jonouchi's POV

"I draw!" I could feel Yami's faith in me…I had this draw. "I play two cards face down, and then I summon Swordsman of landstar to the field in attack mode."

"You have made your last move Mr. Jonouchi! I attack."

"Nope! I activate the spell card Foolish burial to put a card into your grave yard which then activates my other card graverobber and I will use that to summon the card I just put into your grave yard. Say hello to Jinzo and good bye to your trap monsters." I smirked as Marik's trap monster were blown away by Jinzo. "Just to let you know…I couldn't have done that without the help of a duelist I faced to get here."

Jonouchi: 200

MG: Hi there, I know I have been very quiet with this story and I know many of you probably lost faith in this story updating, for that I am really sorry for. Life took over and I had to put a pause on writing this story. I hate having to put this on pause (I really love working on this and i have so many plans for this and future series) because there were things that have happened and I...well I've been through some stuff, I won't bore you with the stupid details. All I will say it that it's been a tough two years in my personal life and I just couldn't get my mind in the right mind set every time I've tried to work on this. Recently I read some of the reviews from earlier stories (I hadn't looked over those older stories in a while) and I had forgotten how much people actually enjoyed my stories. You could say lately I've lost faith in my own writing abilities. I was moved to tears by the kind words you and other readers have sent and for that I want to give you my sincere gratitude. I can't express how happy it made me feel and these words I say isn't enough to express how much this means to me. So I will try my best to update this story as often as life will let me and thank you from the bottom of my heart because if it isn't for you the readers, I...well I wouldn't be the same person talking to you.
