"What did she mean?" Carlos asked again.
"Noddig," James replied with a sigh. He could kill Lucy for saying that aloud over Face Talk. But, he wouldn't.
"It's not nothing," Carlos insisted. "You want to quit BTR. What happened to your dream? What happened to us? You don't want to go solo, do you? I thought we promised each other no breaking out."
"I'b dot."
"So you wanna quit this? Why?"
"Carlos, by head hurds doo buch for this discussiod."
"Lame excuse."
"Dinner's re—" Logan entered the room.
"I thought this was your dream. I thought we were best friends," Carlos added in a small voice as he left the room.
"I'b dot hugry."
"You need to eat, even if it is just nuggets and tots."
"Hey," Kendall entered the room. "What's bugging Carlos?"
"I dunno," Logan replied when James wouldn't answer.
"He found out, didn't he?"
"Found out what?" Logan's eyes darted between James and Kendall. "What's going on?"
James sighed, coughing a little. "He heard Lucy on video chat."
"What? What did she say?" Logan kept asking.
James sent Kendall a look hoping he would answer, but he sent a look back telling James to deal with it.
"Lucy thiks I'b gudda quid the bad."
"You're not?" Kendall raised an eyebrow.
James shrugged. "You guys act like ids such a bad idea."
"You—you have to do what's right for you."
"Thak you, Logad. I duddo whad's righd for be, but id seebs frub whad I've beed leardig, Hollywood is nod. I duddo. I'b bore confused dow thad ever."
"I still stand by you needing to talk to someone like a minister or someone. This is not a decision you can make on your own," Kendall said. "Now come on before Carlos eats all the food.
"I'b sorry aboud earlier," James said over Face Talk to Lucy later that night while bundled up in the nice, warm, flowery comforter of his bed.
"No, I'm sorry. We shouldn't be talking about you behind your back."
"Doe. You have by best idtersd at hard."
"We should be talking to you."
"Yes, you should. Bud ids okay. Whed I get bedder I'b gudda talk do Fallod aboud talking do subode ad her church."
"Do you think you should see a psychiatrist?"
"I'm not crazy!"
"No, but you sound depressed and confused."
"I ab cofused which is why I waddo talk do subode at the church."
"Okay. Y'know, I just want you to be happy."
James nodded. He just wanted himself to be happy. This trip to Colorado was sure messing him up. Did he really believe the Bible? Did he really believe what Fallon believed? The whole thing was messing with his head.
"Id should't be like this."
"James?"
His eyes were crying. His nose was running. He started coughing.
"It's going to be okay. We'll figure everything out. Your life isn't over."
He took a deep breath trying to regain his composure.
"You talk to someone at Fallon's church and tomorrow you go to the doctor."
"Okay ad uh, doe."
Here's something to ruminate on. James and Logan couldn't fight each other when James kissed Camille, but they had no problem fighting each other when Logan ruined the shoes. Camille should feel hurt that expensive shoes mean more to the guys than she does. :p
I can admit it now. I was afraid that by writing James's cold into the story James would wake up in real life with a cold (and have it affect his DWTS performance), not that I believe I have the power to do something like that (I am just me). But, April 24, Logan tweeted that he had a cold and since I haven't wrapped up James's cold storyline maybe… (Am I weird for sounding like I want to take credit for Logan getting sick? He better be glad I didn't give James a stomach virus!).
Sorry it took so long to get this chapter out. My laptop died. Then I had to wait for my new computer to come in. I got a lemon that decided to mess up on me the very next day so I had to wait for the replacement to get her. Then I got busy with some things and my stories had to be put on the back burner. Fortunately, I am able to work on them now! (BTW, don't forget to vote for James in DWTS…you have until Tuesday 8PM in your time zone).
