Eri blinked at the pair sitting opposite each other. Obviously while she'd been collecting chemicals from the lab station they'd had a fight, Eri surmised as she watched her friend wrinkle her nose at the frowning exchange student.
Kagome and Eri were lab partners, but with Hojo, Sesshomaru's partner, falling sick on the day of an experiment, their teacher had lumped him with them. Eri had been enthralled—Kagome, infuriated. She seemed to hold a particular love and hate fascination with him, because one minute she was ogling him, and the next, grimacing.
Letting out a laugh, Eri sat down.
