'Oh my God.' M'gann gasped, in a mental link between her, Conner, and Artemis.
"Y-you… Y-you're… me." Lisa gasped, eyes wide.
"Mmhmm." Older Lisa said, smiling.
"Ok. I just have one question."
"What's that?"
"Is Jaiyden still our best friend?" Lisa asked, scared that Jai would one day stop being her best friend.
"Of course. We couldn't stop being friends with Jai even if we wanted to." Lisa grinned, standing up.
"So, how much have I missed in the however long I've been frozen. How long was I in there anyway?" Lisa asked.
"Two years next month." Oliver told her.
Everyone could tell that the info upset Lisa, but she pretended not to be affected.
"Anything else I should know?" Lisa asked, turning to her siblings and friends.
"Raise your hand if you're a grandparent." Mark said, resulting in Jai raising his hands.
"You're a grandpa?!" Lisa cried.
'You're a grandparent too.' Abbie reminded her.
'I know!' Lisa snapped.
"What are they, boys or girls?" Lisa asked.
"Elliot has two daughters named Cassandra and Olivia, Amy has a daughter named Talia. I haven't met any of them though." He frowned.
"Why not?" Artemis asked her son.
"The location of my biological children isn't exactly knowledge that I have." He sighed.
"Well now that we've got that out of the way, mind telling us who tried to hurt Abbie?" Conner sighed.
"Someone attacked the kiddos?" Jai asked.
It was Mark who noticed the scowl on his sister's face.
"… Lisa?" Mark asked, concerned about what was going through her head.
"It was Alessandra." She hissed.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Lian gasped.
"What's she doing here?!" Jai snarled.
"Who's Alessandra?" Wally asked.
His question was fallen on deaf ears, as the adult forms of a few of the Team's children entered a psychic conversation.
'How did she even get here? I thought we stranded her on Apokolipse years ago!' Abbie asked.
'We did! She clearly got out.' Mark scoffed, crossing his arms.
'… You guys don't think she'll go after Hanna again, do you?' Lian asked.
Everyone could hear the gasps leave Abbie's mouth.
'Where is she?' Lisa ordered.
'We… we don't know.' Abbie sighed.
'What?! How could you have lost her!? You know it's our job to keep her safe!' Lisa mentally screeched.
'Her and Hunter vanished almost a year ago- similar to how you & Jaiyden did! No one has seen or heard from either of them since!' Lian snapped.
'Hunter's gone?' Jaiyden gulped, his head dropping to the ground.
'Most of generation 5 has been missing or has kept in very little contact over the last two years.' Abbie sighed.
'Here's what we're going to do. You three are going to look for Hanna and Hunter. Jaiyden, you're coming with me.' Lisa ordered, grabbing her husband by the arm & dragging him off to the Zeta Tubes
'For what?' Jai asked.
'To look for our children!' She snapped.
"And too make up for lost time." She smirked, whispering quietly in his ear.
"Recognized Flash C03. Recognized Shadow C04." The computer announced.
Three hours later & Lisa was snuggled deeply against Jaiyden's bare chest, their legs tangled in the sheets.
"Mmm… that was nice." Lisa hummed, kissing her husband's neck.
"Yeah. It was. Man! We haven't done it five times in one go around in, Jesus, ten years?" Jai cackled, pulling Lisa closer to him.
"Closer to fifteen." She corrected him. She tilted her head up to kiss him on his lips, & when she looked him in the eyes, a pain shot through her heart.
She scooted away from Jai and sat up, dangling her legs over the bed of the motel room, her back facing him.
"Lisa? Baby what's wrong?" He asked, calling her the pet name she hadn't heard in years.
"... Nothing." She sighed.
"Lisa Marie, you're not the best liar. You know that right?" Jai said, sitting up, placing his hand on her shoulder.
"C'mon beautiful. You can tell me." He cooed, turning her face so she'd look him in the eyes. When he saw tears form in Lisa's eyes, that's when he got extremely worried.
He saw her eyes glow green, as memories of the last four years flashed through his mind.
He saw his best friend, the love of his life, and the mother of his children so depressed after his disappearance that she couldn't even get out of bed.
The images of her being nearly suicidal made him upset, but when he saw her stomach continue to grow in the memories, he wanted to cry with her.
He saw her in a hospital bed, her face red and scrunched up in pure pain, as their eldest two children, Elliot and Amelia, tried their hardest to comfort her.
And then he saw it.
A blonde baby boy, screaming his lungs off with frustrated wails, born on his birthday.
The memories seemed to speed up after Lisa gave birth to their second biological son.
He saw the baby boy, who had been given the name Patrick, start to look more like him and less like his mother. Jai saw him grow up. He saw everything from his first word to his most recent birthday.
When the memories were over, Jaiyden wrapped his arms around Lisa, holding her tightly as she cried into his shoulder.
"I'm s-sorry." She sobbed, clutching tightly at him. Jai stroked her hair, kissing her on the top of the head.
"It's not your fault, Lisa. It's no ones fault." He said, lifting her face up so her cerulean blue orbs locked with his emerald ones.
"I was in a pod for two years, Jaiyden! Two years! I have no idea where Iris or Patrick are! God I'm such a failure as a mother." She sobbed.
"No! You're not. You didn't know you were gonna get captured." Jai reassured her, cupping her face in his hands.
"We'll find them. I promise." Jai cooed, kissing her forehead.
"We have no idea where they are, who they're with, or even if they're still a-alive." Lisa chocked back a sob.
"No matter where they are, we won't stop searching until we know. And if they're in a foster home we'll get them back. Even if we have to kidnap them." Jai told her.
Lisa pulled away from him, wiped away her tears, and stood up before morphing her clothes back on.
"C'mon. We have our children to find." She ordered, earning a smile from Jai.
"Mommy! Daddy! It's been a week, when is older me gonna visit again?!" Lisa whined.
"Sweetie, you heard Oliver, it's been years since she's seen anyone from her time. Give her a chance to catch up." M'gann cooed, one hand ruffling her eldest daughters hair while the other rubbed the spot on her abdomen where her unborn daughter was punching her.
'Just a few more weeks.' Conner reminded her mentally, kissing her temple.
'And by a few weeks you mean 14.' M'gann scoffed.
'Come on. It'll be fine.' He sighed.
'Conner, in three short months we will be a family of six- with two large dogs- living in a two bedroom one bath apartment, with four of the six people being under six. We can afford to feed everyone, but we can't afford a bigger place.' She sighed.
'We will be fine.' He cooed, kissing her forehead.
The first place Lisa and Jai went to was a small abandoned apartment in an even smaller town a few hours outside of Happy Harbor, where Lisa had been residing when she had disappeared.
"So who do you think Amy married?" Jai asked, making small talk with his wife.
"No idea. Although I did have my suspicions on how her and Damian acted around each other." Lisa admitted.
"Damian? Damian Wayne?! But he's 12 years older then her! That's disgusting!" Jai roared.
"My Mom's 47 years older then my Dad." She said, reminding him of the age difference between M'gann and Conner.
"That's chronologically. I'm talking biologically, Lisa. Biologically, your mom is only two months older then your dad." Jai pointed out.
Lisa simply shrugged, as they entered the building through the fire escape.
"So... Do you wanna talk about it? About Alessandra coming back?" Jai asked, changing the subject.
"Not really." She huffed.
"It's just that, I'm surprised she's even back here. After all these years." He sighed.
"Jaiyden Micah! I said I don't want to talk about it! I respect that you don't want to talk about what Deathstroke did to me & Irey- please respect that I don't want to talk about Alessandra and what she did to my family!" Lisa snapped at her husband.
"Lisa, I'm sorry. I crossed a line I shouldn't have." Jai sighed, a frown on his face. He hated seeing Lisa upset, & he especially hated it when he was the reason she was upset.
"It's... Fine, Jai." She told him as they entered the apartment.
Lisa and Jai had been heart broken when they discovered it was empty. While they tried to think of where else to look, they went back to the Watch Tower where their younger parents and the League had been waiting for them.
"We wish to ask you a few questions. Particularly Shadow." Batman had informed them.
"Anything you have to say to me, you can and will say to my husband." Lisa told him, crossing her arms.
"We wanna know more about Alessandra." Wonder Woman said to them.
M'gann, Artemis, Conner, and Wally remained silent. They stood in the group but asked no questions and gave no inputs.
'Think she'll talk?' Artemis asked over the mind link.
'Don't know. If she's anything like us she probably won't.' Conner said.
"What do you wanna about her?" Lisa sighed.
"Where does she come from?" Batman asked the first of a series of questions.
"Here, on Earth. Put she spends most of her time on Apokolypse." She answered, arms still crossed. Jai watched his wife's facial expressions, a look of worry and concern on his own features.
"Is she human?"
"No. Alien."
"What kind?"
"Don't know. Don't really care."
"Has she ever killed?"
"Not that I'm aware of. She tried to off a few League members and it's been rumored she's connected to the death of another, but that hasn't been proven true or false yet." She sighed.
"Which League members?"
"Spoiler alert. No comment." Lisa growled.
"Does she have a secret identity? One we can use to help find her?" Wonder Woman asked.
"She used to. She's been going by Alessandra for twenty years now."
"What was her secret identity?" Batman asked.
Shadow ignored him, instead choosing to turn her attention towards M'gann.
'I'd keep an eye on the... Offspring you're carrying.' She snarled, causing M'gann's eyes to go wide as she clutched her stomach.
And with that, she turned and walked back towards the Zeta Tubes, Jaiyden running towards her.
"Recognized Shadow C04. Recognized Flash C03."
Janelle woke up at three in the morning by a sharp pain in her stomach, followed by a rush of liquid pooling between her legs. She gasped, quickly sitting up and turning to Bart's sleeping form beside her.
"Bart! Bart! Bart wake up!" Janelle cried, shaking him until he woke up.
"Wa-what?" He grumbled, wiping the drool from his cheek.
"My water broke!" She gasped, groaning in pain as a contraction hit her.
"What? You're not due for a month!" He cried.
"Tell that to Charlie!" Janelle snarled.
"Oh shit!" Bart yelped, jumping out of bed. He raced towards the bathroom and got three clean towels, before placing them on the nightside table. Janelle flipped the lamp on, giving Bart more light.
"Oww...!" She groaned, tossing her head back.
"I know Nelly, I know." Bart sighed, kissing her on the forehead.
"I w-wish my d-dad wasn't g-green or that the r-rest of the L-League k-knew who I w-was. I want d-drugs!" Janelle groaned.
Due to the fact Gar's skin color could possibly be genetic and since (most of) the League didn't know she was his Daughter, Janelle and Bart were forced to deliver their daughter by themselves in their apartment, instead of going to a hospital or the Cave.
All Bart could do was kiss her on the cheek, as Janelle clutched his hand in agony.
"S-she's coming. Now!" She gasped.
Bart tossed the blankets off of her as Janelle sat up, bending her knees as Bart positioned himself between her legs.
"Man I am so glad I was taught how to do this." Bart muttered.
"Ok Nelly, I need you to push." Bart ordered her.
Janelle nearly folded herself in half as she pushed, face red and scrunched up with pain.
"Whoa-!" Bart yelped, catching their screaming daughter as she flew out of her mother from the force of the push.
Janelle collapsed on the bed, panting. "Bart... Is she okay?" She gasped, lifting her head to watch as Bart cleaned off their beautiful Charlotte.
"She's beautiful Nelly. Charlie's absolutely perfect." He told her, tears filling his eyes as a wide smile appeared across his face.
He wrapped Charlotte up in one of the clean towels, before resting her in Janelle's arms.
"Oh hello baby girl. Hi Charlie. How's mommy and daddy's perfect angel doing?" She cooed, stroking her cheek.
As they admired Charlotte's features- pale ivory skin and ice blue eyes- they noticed another feature that surprised them.
"Her hair is pink." Bart gasped, noting her bubblegum pink hair.
"Mhm." Janelle cooed, admiring the pink curls atop her baby girl's head.
"How do you suppose that happened?" Bart asked.
"Red and white make pink." She suggested, causing Bart to nod in agreement.
"Once you feel you're up for it, we'll go to the Watch Tower to get you guys checked out." He told her.
"We'll go when the sun comes up."
"Welcome to the world Charlotte Dawn." Bart smiled, kissing her forehead before tossing the dirty towels into the dirty hamper.
