"So I'm thinking we need to talk about...uh...the cause of the whole pregnancy thing," Kristoff stated awkwardly as the two had comfortably started making breakfast in silence. Anna was crushing oranges to be produced into juice while Kristoff flipped pancakes leisurely.

"Yeah...about that," Anna trailed off, biting her lip and looking intensely at the juicer.

"I mean, do you wanna get married?" Kristoff spoke out, not realizing the hard-hitting truth of his statement until the words escaped his mouth.

"What?!" Anna exclaimed in a surprised matter, stopping her task all together and facing him.

"What?" Kristoff echoed, trying to scramble his thoughts together before he repeated another brash comment. "I mean...I...what else are we supposed to do?" Kristoff tried in vain. "I mean, are we just going to go completely chaste until we do get married? I mean, do you want to marry me? Oh gosh..," Kristoff paced rapidly in a zig-zagged line, running his hairs through his hair to hide his embarrassing reddening complexion.

Anna smiled timidly and walked over to her boyfriend slowly. "Kristoff, of course I want to marry you. But obviously not right now. I mean, we both need to get our lives straight before we can start planning a wedding. Elsa will be unbelievably difficult about every tiny detail," Anna chuckled, rubbing his bulky arm softly and trying to calm him down. "And would staying chaste be really that bad? I mean, it would only be for a couple more months," she suggested. "And don't say yes just because you want to please me. If you really have to think about, you can," Anna added with a knowing smirk.

Kristoff sighed, finally obtaining the courage to look up at the auburn haired girl. "Would you be mad if I did?" he gave a grimace.

"Of course not. You need to make your own decisions, Kristoff," Anna replied softly, trying not to seem too disappointed at his reaction. She shook her head at her own selfishness; she ad suggested this thought in the first place. He deserved to make his own choices. Deep down, she knew their love was eternal, and nothing could stop them. Her worries were quickly abolished at that thought. "Now let's finish making breakfast so we don't burn another meal."

"Anna wait-"

"Okay, I have news!" Elsa exclaimed, interrupting Kristoff's impending thought at walking briskly but elegantly down the skinny staircase. His feet were covered in small white flats and body in a light blue cardigan and black slacks. Reaching the kitchen and giving high anticipation to her waiting companions, who sat with huge eyes and surprised gazes. "Sit down! It's a bit long," she demanded.

Kristoff and Anna sat in adjacent bar stools and left their elbows on the cool stone counter. "Well?" Anna asked, her impatient trait showing through brightly.

"I already told Kristoff about this, but I'm pretty sure he was too intoxicated to remember," Elsa stated, earning an embarrassed look from Kristoff and a concerned, confused one from her sister. "I was offered a job opportunity to work in Paris!" Elsa exclaimed with a happy face.

"What?" Anna asked with a gaping mouth.

"I so was not drunk last night!" Kristoff protested simultaneously.

Elsa tried to stifle a giggle and moved on. "Yes! It's for about five months, and I really want to go. It'll be a huge boost for my career and so many more things cold open up for me," she smiled brighter than she had in a long time.

"That's so great, Elsa, really," Anna smiled warmly. "And I'm really proud of you, but...five months is a long time. I mean, I'll miss you a lot," she admitted, fumbling with her awkward arms and hands.

"Oh, Anna," Elsa objected, walking over to hug her sitting sister. "Of course I'll visit! And there's always Skype, and calls. That's if I accept it," she added. As much as an individualist she was, she valued her close friends' opinions.

"Of course you should accept it!" Anna exclaimed. "You can't let little old me hold you back! Besides, I have this big mountain man to keep me company," she smiled, glancing over at her beau, who had said nothing regrading this decision.

"Speaking of him, what do you think about it Kristoff?" Elsa asked with a candid grin.

"It's great, Elsa. Anna's right. You can't let us hold you back. This is your dream, go live it out," Kristoff tried his hardest to hid his lackluster response under a coat of excitement.

Anna squealed in delight, but Elsa gave him sad eyes. The two girls galloped off to talk more about Elsa's new path in life, and left Kristoff alone in the kitchen, left to conveniently take care of dishes.

Surprisingly, Kristoff actually didn't mind doing the dishes. It scattered everyone else from the premises, and he relished in his alone time. As much as he cherished all his loved ones, his favorite time was spent by himself and his thoughts. As the lukewarm water ran between his hardened callouses, he thought about his future. With Elsa gone, it would be only more tempting for him and Anna to become intimate again. He knew there wasn't 100% chance of him and Anna becoming pregnant again, but he didn't want to take his chances. Elsa would have his head.

But then again, he wanted to become closer to Anna again. He loved every moment of their love making, and never knew he could love someone more than he loved Anna. As much as it pained his physical body, he knew it would respect Anna's choices and decisions. His love for her knew no bounds and he would walk around the world barefoot just to see her face.

When he was younger, even when he was living on benches, his imagination always saved him from insanity. No matter what he thought of, whether it be Godzilla taking over the city, or just a sizzling, tangy, pizza, his thoughts were the only things reassuring and secure in his shaky past life. And now, living luxuriously and striking it big with luck and love, his mind had different thoughts, thought still as ambitious. He dreamed of finally taking Anna as his wife, and furthering their careers and creating a family. He wanted everything with her, from the romantic comedy cliches to simple things, like bringing her lunch at work. The only thing holding him back was the very thing he wanted most; Anna.

Kristoff knew she loved him as much as he her, but was she ready for that kid of commitment? She was still quite young and still discovering a place for herself in this world. And when he had blurted out the option just moments ago, she'd seem scared and a bit...surprised? Kristoff couldn't make it out. He believed her when she said she would marry him someday, but Kristoff was never one to be patient. He wanted to marry this girl, and he wanted to marry her now.

Anna's voice echoed through the apartment as the shower ran upstairs. It was later that evening, and the three residents were completely spread out around. Elsa sat for a read on the couch, a small lamp illuminating the only light source in the room. Anna of course, was taking one of her infamously long showers, singing her lungs out, ranging from ACDC to show tunes. Kristoff was just entering the apartment after two shifts at the diner, completely exhausted but still having the jitters due to his conversation he was going to have with Elsa.

"Hey, Elsa?" Kristoff crept into the living room to sit tentatively on the opposing couch. "Can I talk to you about something?"

"Sure," Elsa replied simply, placing down her book in her lap and folding her slender fingers over it. "I'm listening."

"Well, I know you're going to be leaving soon for Paris, and you're not gonna be here for a while," Kristoff babbled, trying to stall from his real reason of wanting to speak with the blonde sister. "I was just wondering um...I want to propose marriage to Anna," he stammered.

Elsa's eyes widened, but her mouth and posture remained still. "Okay..." she gestured him to go on.

"And, well. I didn't-wouldn't do it without your blessing. I mean, I would ask your parents but ta far away and they don' t really know me well and I don't even have their number an-"

"Kristoff!" Elsa interrupted his predicted nervous rant. Breathing out, she continued in a much calmer tone. "Are you sure you're ready for this kind of commitment? I mean, you've never really been in a serious relationship before...is this because of the whole baby thing?" Elsa asked.

"Yes! No! I mean, both?" Kristoff stuttered, getting redder every time his frustration at himself grew. "Gah! I am ready for this, Elsa. I know I am. I've never loved anything or anyone more than I love your sister. I have to admit, the first time I met her I thought she was a little...unique, but she was somehow endearing. I love her freckles and her morning hair and how her eyes dance whenever she gets excited. I love how she displays all of her emotions and thoughts like an open book even when she denies it. I love how she doesn't like to eat the first slice of bread because its nasty. I just..I've never been more sure of anything in my life," Kristoff ran a hand through his hair, a habit becoming increasingly more common lately. "And as for the baby thing; maybe? I don't know. I'ts just...I want a baby, I really do. And I didn't think I would be ready for it, but now that I think more about it, I would love to make a family with Anna."

Elsa smiled reluctantly. "Kristoff, I know your intentions are genuine, and you are a lovely person. But you have to consider Anna in this as well. Do you really think she's ready for this? She's still so young and naive."

"I know, I thought about that, too," Kristoff answered. "But I really think our relationship has been through enough hell to withstand a marriage. I've never known more about anyone, and I know our love can do anything," Kristoff finished, then groaned with a blush at Elsa's hesitant giggle. "Oh, gosh. I've turned into a cheesy, romantic, sap, haven't I?" He laughed with Elsa.

"Maybe just a little," Elsa agreed.

After calming down a bit, Kristoff urged Elsa again. "So...do I have your permission?"

"I guess so," Elsa teased, hugging Kristoff back after he got up form his seat, thinking his thankful, ear-to-ear smile wasn't enough. "Good thing I'll be gone during the honeymoon stage."

"Thank you Elsa. Thank you so much," Kristoff grinned and sat back down.

"So what's the ring look like?" Elsa asked, striking up conversation.

"The ring! How could I have forgotten? I'm such an idiot. I can't afford a ring; I can barely afford a t-shirt!" Kristoff panicked once again, eyes widening and scrambling themselves around the room in a frantic frenzy.

"Kristoff! Goodness, you're turning into Anna with all this freak out rants!" Elsa stopped him again. "Now hold on. I'll be right back," she said, getting up from her comfortable spot in the cushions and walking briskly up the stairs.

Two minutes later, Elsa reappeared near Kristoff with a small, tearing velvet box. Opening it slowly, both of them gasped at the beauty hiding itself inside. A ring laid inside, decorated with thousands of small diamonds and other jewels. The rock was spun into different strings intertwining together to form the main sparkle. "Oh, Elsa. It's perfect. Where did you get it?"

"It's been in our family for generations. My mother gave it to me when we moved here, hoping I'd get to wear it someday. But, I know how you and Anna feel about each other, and Anna is destined to have that on her finger," Elsa explained, smiling maternally. "I want you to have it, Kristoff."

Elsa was given yet another hug that evening, this one much tighter and grateful than the last one. "Thank you, Elsa. You definitely need to go to Paris. Spend some time for yourself," Kristoff said after separating from the embrace.

Suddenly, the bathroom door upstairs slammed opened, making the two go their separate ways and Kristoff inconspicuously placing the tiny box in his deep front pocket.

Everything was sorting out for the better. Kristoff knew what he was going to do, he had everything he needed to do it. But now, the final question laid unanswered; when and where would he pop the age old question, that would change his life forever?
