Chapter 36
Ruby got home from work and saw sapphire in the kitchen with scarlet. Sapphire smiled at her walking over to her wrapping her arms around her neck "hey, how was your day?" ruby smiled kissing her softly "good, I do have a surprise for you though" sapphire looked at her suspiciously "what is it?" ruby smirked "guess" sapphire rolled her eyes a small smile coming to her face "there are so many things I could guess, what is the correct one?" ruby sighed "ok fine sense you begged. Look" she showed the keys "sapphire smiled "what are they?" ruby smirked "keys to our new apartment" sapphire smiled brightly "wow, just wow" ruby nodded "we can start packing our things up tomorrow then bring things to the new place" sapphire nodded smiling softly "great" scarlet smiled "you two are making it huh?" ruby nodded leading sapphire over to the counter "wait where's luna?" sapphire looked towards the stairs "she should be waking up from her nap right about now, wanna go get her for me?" ruby nodded leaving the kitchen. Sapphire turned to scarlet when she said "you ready to leave this place, it probably holds some bad memories huh?" sapphire looked down "yeah, I'm ready to officially start my life with ruby" scarlet nodded watching sapphire follow ruby upstairs.
Sapphire walked into the room seeing ruby laying on the bad luna asleep on her chest, sapphire smiled softly laying down next to her. sapphire chuckled softly "I thought you woke her up" ruby nodded "I did, she expressed the fact that she didn't want to wake up yet very well" sapphire nodded "does she feel warm, she's been acting weird last like three or four days" ruby looked at her "three to four days?" sapphire nodded "sapph, I'm at work everyday and don't see her so I wouldn't see her acting like weird. Why didn't you tell me? Sapphire shrugged "I just thought it was a small cold" ruby nodded "ok, umm… let's take her temperature. If we don't pack tomorrow it's ok we just need to take care of luna" sapphire nodded getting out of bed with ruby and walking downstairs "mom you're a doctor right?" scarlet nodded "a nurse but close enough, why? Is luna ok?" ruby shrugged "I don't know, she might have a fever." Scarlet nodded putting her hand against her four head "she's warm, we don't have a thermometer around here. Ruby go to the store and get one, sapph you stay here and help me with luna." Ruby nodded grabbing her coat and walking out to her car driving away soon after.
While ruby was gone luna wah woken up crying and throwing up, sapphire quickly helped her out of her clothes and into the bath luna coming back "where's sapph?" scarlet looked back up at her "luna threw up so sapphire's cleaning her up" ruby nodded going into the bathroom "is she ok?" sapphire nodded holding luna in a towel "yeah, here take her temp, even after a bath she is so warm" ruby nodded doing as she was told "uhh what's a good temperature?" sapphire shrugged "probably around ninety eight" ruby nodded "she has a fever of a hundred fifteen" sapphire nodded "fuck umm" scarlet came in "whats her temp at?" ruby looked up "one fifteen" scarlet cursed "ok get a dipper on her and wrap her in a blanket, we're going to the hospital"
They got there and ran in, they were immediately seen and a doctor took lunas temperature and checked her out. "good thing you brought her in when you did or she could have passed out and possibly died, I looks like she just has a bad flu. We'll just her medicine for the fever but that's all that's concerning." Ruby nodded relived as she picked luna back up walking over to sapphire the doctor letting them leave.
They got home and laid down, ruby looked at the time "we should go to bed sapph, it's almost ten and we have to pack tomorrow" sapphire nodded holding luna in between them on the bed.
