She didn't think she was breathing and wondered briefly if breath was an automatic response or a response that she controlled. The color of Draco's silver eyes was mesmerizing as they searched her own jade gaze. "Why?" He nearly whispered as he approached the frozen young women in what can only be called a predatory fashion. Finding her lungs lack of air quite uncomfortable, Emerald took a shaky breath. "I'm only meeting him.'' She said, her voice sounding too loud for the circumstance she currently found herself in. "You don't just meet the Dark Lord, Emee." Draco insisted, coming to a stand still in front of the pajama clad brunette. He delicately swept a piece of her dark hair back behind her ear before he stroked her face gently.
Emerald leaned into Draco's touch and looked up into his concerned silver gaze "I am, just meeting him. Your father and Blaise reassured me that was all this was." Draco shook his head in denial. "Emerald, you don't just meet the Dark Lord. He has ways to make you bend to his will. Even the strongest of men fall to his persuasion. The evil git will promise you the world and he might even give it to you if you impress him. But is it worth your sanity?" Emerald chuckled darkly, she gracefully moved away from Draco as she stood in front of the bay window to stare unseeingly out at the night sky. "He can't take something I already lost, Draco. My sanity has been missing for a very long time. Besides, I'm not that interesting." Turning back towards Draco, Emerald gave the tall blonde a half smile "Nothing will come of it, you'll see." She reassured.
Unconvinced, Draco, like a magnet, was drawn to Emerald. His large hands found her tiny waist and he gripped it firmly. "I want to know why, Emerald? What did Blaise say to convince you to do this?" Emerald allowed the curtain of chocolate hair she possessed to guard her eyes from Draco's sight. She practically stared down at the tip of his black leather shoes to avoid his gaze. "That there wasn't a choice. That the two of you would be on Voldemort's side and unless I wanted to fight against you, that it was the side I would have to choose, too. I told him I would just leave the country and steer clear of the war, but he's right… I'd never get away with that. I can't imagine my life with out you…two, so…" Emerald's words trailed off as she realized that she had revealed way more than she had intended.
Draco used a singular finger to raise her chin, forcing her gaze to connect with his. "Run Emerald…and when it's over, I will come find you and we can start over. I will give you enough Galleons to escape the country. Go to the Americas and finish your schooling there. We can create a new name for you and find you a nice family to live with. For the love of God! Please, live as a muggle… just don't do this." Emerald chuckled at Draco's seriousness.
"Nothing is going to happen, Draco. It's just—" Emerald started before Draco cut her off abruptly. He gripped her waist a little tighter than what was necessary. Needing her to understand that this was a matter that she needed to take seriously. "NO, Emerald…EVERYTHING is going to happen. Dark magic can change you! It will twist you into a person you are not. You met my father…He is cold and unfeeling. He is responsible for hundreds, maybe thousands of deaths. He has raped and killed and violated more human beings than you could ever imagine. He has performed more brutal acts on innocents than any other Death Eater besides my Aunt Bella. He has no remorse, no human part of him left. He can slaughter a living being and then bed my mother in the next breath." The harshness in Draco's tone as he spoke about his father startled Emerald.
For what felt like the millionth time that day, her heart began to gallop at a ridiculous pace in her chest as she stood staring up at the blonde before her. His grip on her waist was beginning to hurt, but she wouldn't dare say a word. What the fuck had she signed up for, again? Maybe she should take Draco's advice and run in the opposite direction. But for what, what did she have to lose? Who did she have in this world besides Draco and Blaise? A small voice that she didn't expect whispered "Harry…" in her subconscious. She scoffed at that idea. If Harry ever caught wind of her meeting with Voldemort the bespectacled asshole would probably kill her himself. The king- of- all- that- is- holy- and- right wouldn't hesitate to raise his wand against someone like her.
Deciding to throw caution to the wind, Emerald reached her small hand up to Draco's distressed face. She lovingly soothed the wrinkles that had formed between his brows from his worries, eventually coming to cup his cheek with her small palm. Sighing deeply, the petite brunette responded with a confidence she didn't actually feel "I'd always choose you, Draco. You and Blaise are all I have. If I don't stand beside you, I'd have to stand against you both and I refuse to do that. If meeting Voldemort means that I must join him…then I… Then I guess that's what I'll do."
*Draco's POV*
She'd fallen off her rocker. That's the only excuse that Draco could come up with for what Emerald had just expressed to him. He had given her an opportunity for escaping her potential fate and she had decided to stick it out, to stand beside him. Yes, it was official, Emerald's mind was a complete and utter disaster. Any sensible person, any—Slytherin- would have taken the out and ran with it. Maybe, she was a Gryffindor. Maybe, he didn't know her at all. Maybe, just maybe he was tired of talking to the ridiculous voices inside of his head. "Blaise is right, you know? You really are a nutter." The blonde dipped his head forward crashing his lips to hers. Emerald accepted his kiss willingly and reciprocated his efforts.
There was a battle of lips and tongues and before either could remember how they had gotten from point A to point B; Emerald was pinned against her crimson sheets while Draco was removing her burgundy tank top. The blonde took in the sight of the beautiful creature laid out before him. Bare breasted, her chest rising and falling from the effort it took for her to take in oxygen. Her exquisite chocolate locks fanned all around her. Her jadeite eyes filled with want for him. She grabbed his hand with her own shaking ones, pressing the rough pads of his fingers to her small breast. "Touch me, Draco…I need to feel you." She whispered, nearly out of breath.
Having the desire to experience this beautiful mess of a women in his own bed, Draco lifted her petite half naked frame up from hers. "Not here." The blonde Slytherin responded simply to Emerald's confused look as he walked them to the door that joined their rooms. His mouth found hers in another brutal kiss as he gently laid her down on his green silk sheets.
She was beautiful to him and not in the traditional sense. She was broken and battered on the inside and those shattered pieces reflected up at him from her bottle green eyes. Her tragedy and tainted past were part of the reason he was here with her now. There was a part of him that knew he was chosen to protect her, but maybe- in a way, she was here to protect him, as well. Draco lifted his hands to cup her small breasts, having realized that he had spent the last five minutes staring down at the aroused girl below him.
The experienced blonde watched as Emerald's eyes fluttered closed at the sensation of his hands on her. The contrast between her soft smooth skin and his quidditch roughened palms was not lost on him. He moved his hands down the smooth plans of her rib cage and abdomen, reaching the waist of her matching burgundy pajama bottoms.
Her eyes opened, pupils dilated with her arousal "Please, Draco." Emerald practically begged the hesitant blonde looking at her with such admiration it made her heart ache. "There's no going back after this, Emee. You can't run anymore… If I make love to you, you are mine. No more kissing Potter or running to the tower if things get rough. It's going to be you and me." Understanding, followed by determination and then resignation flitted across the petite brunette's face as she brought herself up onto her elbows. Finding Draco's lips with her own, the beautifully broken young women sealed the deal with a promise anointed with her own blood. Emerald gave herself to Draco.
They were a perfect contrast of light and dark in the fire's amber glow. There bodies connected as one, heart…mind and soul. She nearly wept with the pure bliss she felt as Draco entered her. His steady hands and cursed mouth brought her pleasure she had never experienced before. She completely understood how people got lost in each other, how they became addicted to the sensations that Draco created in her body and mind.
Like a lighthouse with a singular guiding light, Draco brought Emerald through the turbulent sea of their passion. A storm brewed inside of her and before she knew what was happening an electrical explosion pulsated throughout her body, filling her with the strongest and purest sense of joy that she had ever known. Emerald cried out her joy to the world around them as her orgasm drove Draco over the edge.
Breathing deeply, bodies slick with their combined sweat, the couple curled into each other and together they peacefully slept.
