"If we get Samantha then I suggest we just let nature take it from there" I say
"What if nature kills us first" Gershwin tells me
I think for a while before saying "At the first sight of illness we go out and kill someone ok"
TABYTHA CARAMAHEL POV
Marigold is currently searching the book for more muttations.
"I can't seem to find any good ones" she says
"We'll just have to give up then" I say. We've been looking since morning and it's getting dark now
"Let's get some food, I'm starving" Marium suggests and we get up and leave.
SCOUT DEADWELL POV
I have plenty of supplies from the feast. I have quite a bit of soup left and attach the knives and axes to my vest. The sugar cubes taste nice with a mix of berries so I hunt out to get more.
SAMANTHA SANCHEZ POV
I need to complete my final act of vengeance. I killed the 12 year old from 5 and that was the first part, I killed the girl from 4 for killing Aaron and now I kill the bitch from 7 for killing me in the last games I was in.
I leave my camp with my knives, a backpack and my feast bag.
GERSHWIN ANDERSON POV
"We need more water" Emerald says
"The most common place for water is by the cornucopia" I say "So the gamemakers may have a trap there. I suggest we go to the riverbank by the field"
Emerald agrees and we get up to leave.
MARIGOLD FINCH POV
"Perhaps we should split up" Tabytha suggests "We'd have a better chance at finding food if we all looked in different places"
"Ok then. Tabytha you stay in the field, I'll look in the forest and Marigold you look by the riverbank" Marium says and we all split up.
I search through the river bank looking for some kind of fish to eat.
I turn and notice to boy from 1 and the girl from 2 walking towards where I am. Paralyzed with fear I keep still. Why aren't I running.
Suddenly the two tributes notice me.
The boy from 1 raises his sword. Before he hits me however the girl from 2 stops him
"I thought we agreed on something, if we kill her then that means there is one less person to kill Samantha"
"Fine" the boy from 1 says "Don't worry, we're not going to kill you" he says and he helps me up
"I'm Emerald, this is Gershwin" the girl from 2 says "What's your name"
"Marigold" I tell them "Samantha is the girl from 1 isn't she, your partner"
"Yes, we had a slight falling out"
The 3 of us collect water and hunt for fish.
TABYTHA CARAMAHEL POV
I continue to search the ground for food. I am starting to get ticked off now. Hopefully Marigold and Marium are having better look.
I find a squirrel and I aim my throwing knife at it. A knife ends up in its back...but it's not mine. I turn to see the girl from 1 aiming another knife at my chest. I use my feast bag to block it and the 2 of us engage in a massive fight.
I punch her in the face and she has her hands at my neck strangling me. I try to writher away from her but she is too strong. Suddenly she is pushed off me and I see Scout wrestling with her.
"You killed Lilly" Scout says and she punches her "And Rose" she punches her again
Samantha gets on top of Scout and sneers "You killed me"
"Yeah and know I'm going to kill you again" Scout spits
"Not if I get her first" I say and I help Scout wrestle with Samantha
MARIUM SHELLED POV
I walk through the forest looking for some kind of food. So far I have found a mouse and a couple of berries that could possibly be poisonous. I drop the berries on the floor.
I look deep through the forest. It's about half past 11 now and it's getting hard to see. I see quite a large creature. I presume it's a dear and I am about to kill it when it suddenly stands on its hind legs. I step back, still not being able to see the creature properly. I think it's a bull...wait no, it looks like a...
The creature turns its head at me. It growls slightly and then runs towards me
The last thing I do is scream.
EMERALD MAY POV
I hear the scream and Marigold recognises it as Mariums. I then hear a loud...
BOOM
Marigold get up and run to find Tabytha to see if she's ok. Me and Gershwin follow me. When we finally get there I see Tabytha, Samantha and Scout must have been fighting but stopped after they heard the scream.
"TABYTHA" Marigold shouts
The remaining 6 tributes stand together looking at the forest to see what the scream and roar was from.
Another ear piercing roar sounds. We continue to stare at the forest. I see a tall monster walk out from the forest and enter the field we all stand in.
The creature has the head of a bull, the body of a wolf and the claws of bear. It stands on its hind legs and is carrying a spiked club. It snarls and walks towards us slowly
"What the hell is that thing" Scout says
Marigold and Tabytha look at each other in horror
"It's a berserker"
