Chapter 36: Race Against Time; Part 2
Last time, the heroes engaged in a heated battle with their respective rivals. Drago nearly proved victorious. But thanks to Lupe's leadership skills and wits, she and the Wolfpack managed to emerge victorious. But not without the help of Future Marcos and Maria, who managed to put Drago in his place. Then, there was the showdown between the Road Rovers and the newly recruited Mutant Assassination Squad, who proved to be more than a match for them. But, thanks to their new found powers, the Road Rovers were able to emerge victorious. And finally, the reformed MAS, headed by Fenrir and Akito, squared off against Eva and her minions, Kaibutsu and Purlinn. They fought bravely, and gained the upperhand. Eva revealed that she had powers of her own, but was no match for Akito, who whipped her into the next century. But the battle has left Akito exhausted. Now there are only several groups remaining, who will soon engage each other in battle. Stay tuned to find out what happens.
[Clarissa and her group were continuing their fight with Dr. Psycho and the Groomer]
Clarissa: Give it up, Psycho! Your days of animal cruelty are over!
Psycho: Over? OVER?! The game's not over, my dear!
Topaz: Oh yeah? Says who?
Psycho: Says me!
Hope: Quit stalling! You're outnumbered!
Psycho: That may be true, but there is still so much you don't know. You think even if you defeat us it will be over? You'd still have Jaakuna to deal with.
Clarissa: Enough talk! Defend yourselves!
Psycho: Very well. The show must go on, as they say. Have at you!
Taurus: Ready Tatsu?
Tatsu: Ready Taurus!
Sulea: Then let's do this!
[Psycho and Groomer stand ready]
Psycho: Let's take these do-gooders down!
Groomer: And I have a surprise for you! (scissor claws)
Taurus: You think that's gonna be enough? Taurus jumps into the air] (moos)
[Taurus jams his double edged axe into the ground, and sends an Earthquake that hurls straight for Psycho and Groomer]
Groomer: (gasps)
Psycho: WHOA!
[Psycho and Groomer avoid the attack just in time]
Groomer: Oh that does it!
[Groomer engages with Clarissa, while Psycho engages with Topaz]
Psycho: How would you like your insides, my dear? Raw or deep fried?
Topaz: Intact!
Psycho: I have a better idea, how about sushi style? (grabs knives)
Tatsu: Keep your knives off her body!
Psycho: Hmm?!
[Tatsu decks Psycho with a flying kick]
Tatsu: Take that you freak!
[Psycho hits the walls]
Psycho: (chuckles)
Tatsu: Hmm?
Psycho: You're quite strong. Why not join me as an MAS soldier? You have the potential to be one.
Tatsu: You're asking me, a celestial spirit to join a creep like you? No thanks, I'm happy with my life style.
Taurus: And you can forget about asking me to join too, because I dedicate my existence to the side of truth and justice!
Psycho: I see...such a pity.
Tatsu: So, you give up?
Psycho: Why no! Not at all! I still have plenty of tricks!
[Psycho shoots a cloud out of his wrists. Tatsu and Taurus cover their eyes, and cough]
Tatsu: (cough, cough) Hey!
Taurus: What is this?
Psycho: Peek a boo!
[Psycho attacks Tatsu with a barrage of punches and kicks. Then a knife slides out of his sleeve, and he tries to cut Tatsu with it]
Tatsu: You're joking, right?
Psycho: (snickers) Do I look like I'm joking?
Tatsu: I don't think you want the answer to that.
[Psycho continues slashing his knife]
Psycho: Why can't I cut through?
Tatsu: My scales are very sturdy, your little knife won't cut it.
[Psycho slashes one last time, and his knife shatters upon Tatsu's skin]
Psycho: WHAT?!
Tatsu: I told you.
[Tatsu backhands Psycho, knocking him unconscious]
Taurus: Wow he is weak.
Topaz: Now all that's left is Groomer.
Taki: She shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Noki: Yeah, we can handle this weirdo.
Groomer: It doesn't matter how far you go! You'll never defeat us!
Clarissa: Well I have news for you; we're winning!
Topaz: Let's waste her!
Groomer: I don't think so!
[A group of canomutant ninjas and soldiers came in]
Clarissa: What? What are those?!
Sulea: I don't know. But they look... Strangely familiar...
Groomer: You can figure that out when you die.
Topaz: There's so many of them.
Sulea: But we can take these guys. They're not so tough.
Taurus: You said it, Sulea! Let's take em down! [The heroes engage the canomutant ninjas and soldiers and attack with full force] (moos)
Tatsu: (roars)
[Taurus jams his axe into the ground, and sends an earthquake that hurls towards a group of canomutants, obliterating them]
Taurus: Want some more?!
[The canomutants look at each other, then back at Taurus. They drop their weapons, and back away slowly]
Groomer: You cowards!
Cano-Soldier: Sorry, Groomer. You're on your own!
Ninja Dog: Hai. These guys are too strong.
[The remaining cano-soldiers and ninja dogs flee the scene]
Topaz: Guess they don't make warriors like they use to.
Taurus: Oh well. What do you expect from a bunch of amateurs?
Tatsu: Took the words right out of my mouth, big guy.
Groomer: GET BACK HERE!
[Clarissa hits Groomer with a punch, knocking her out cold]
Clarissa: This is just sad, even for them.
Sulea: Well, guess that takes care of that.
Topaz: Yeah, let's get out of here.
[Clarissa's team moves on. We then focus on Tsunami's group]
Muzzle: Exile, we got to get out of this goop and help Tsunami.
Exile: Right, comrade. And I think I know what to do.
Muzzle: Well, what is it?
Exile: This thing is very soft and sticky. Like chewing gum. But can it resist Siberian Deep Freeze?
[Exile powers up, and his eyes glow white. He then fires a continuous ice beam from his eyes directly at Taffi who was holding them in place]
Taffi: Temperature decreasing, commence evasive maneuvers.
Muzzle: Huh?
[Taffi starts oozing away]
Roger: Well that was strange.
Exile: Da. But at least we're still in one whole.
Muzzle: One piece, Exile.
Exile: Right. Now, we just got to get out of this goop.
Connor: Let me try.
[Connor's eye turn white and he freezes the goop that trapped Exile and Muzzle]
Muzzle: Now's our chance, Exile.
[Exile nod then he and Muzzle break out of the frozen goop flexing]
Exile: (stretching) Agghhh... That's better! Thanks, Connor!
Connor: Anytime, Dad.
[The two huskies hug]
Ace: This is so touching.
Muzzle: Umm... I hate to break up the dramatic moment, but we gotta go find an exit!
Tsunami: He's right. We got to escape and find the others.
Ace: Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!
Boomer: I hope Hunter and others are alright.
Tsunami: Shinpaisedona, Boomer-San. I'm sure they're okay. Sa, ikuzou!
Boomer: You really think so, Tsunami?
Tsunami: Hai!
Ace: I think he said "let's go!"
[Tsunami races down the halls, and the others follow him]
Tsunami: Everybody keep your eyes and ears open. We're in enemy territory. And we don't know who we'll run into.
Muzzle: Yeah, no kidding. Let's just hope we can reach the others in time!
[Just as he said that they ran into Hunter's group]
Roger: Oh thank goodness, we found you guys.
Tsunami: (in Japanese) The feeling is mutual, Roger-San. (bows slightly)
Ace: So who is the new girl?
Hunter: Guys, this is my younger sister Huntress. Say hello, sis.
Huntress: Greetings.
Muzzle: Well, she seems friendly.
Tsunami: What is your story, Huntress-Kun?
Huntress: I'll tell you when we get out of this hellhole.
Hunter: She's right. We gotta get out of here and find the others.
Tsunami: Hai. Wakarimashta, Hunter-Sama.
Colleen: Or they might find us.
Tsunami: Mina! Hayaku! Ware wa ima nokoshite imasu!
Muzzle: English, Tsunami! English!
Roger: He said "Come on, everybody! We have to leave now!"
Boomer: I got to learn how he does that.
[The Rovers all continue their way down the halls, with Hunter in the lead]
Hunter: I hope we're not too late.
Exile: Me too, Comrade.
[Before long, they reach the next chamber. But the door is sealed shut]
Hunter: Well, looks like this is where the trail ends.
Ace: We got to get through!
Roger: Sure. But how?
Huntress: Good question...
Muzzle: Leave this to me and Exile. We're both natural powerhouses.
Exile: Let's break this door open.
[Exile and Muzzle crack their knuckles, and charge at the door]
Exile and Muzzle: (simultaneously) HAAAHHH!
[The Husky and Rottweiler jam their hands against the door, pushing it with all their strength]
Blitz: Come on...
[Exile and Muzzle both groan as they continue pushing at the door. Before long, the door began to move]
Connor: Whoa...
Huntress: Impressive!
Roger: Way to go, guys!
Exile: Huh?
Blitz: What's the matter?
Muzzle: You guys won't believe this...
Colleen: What is it, gents?
[The group sees Sonic's group engaging with Geist, Purasu, and Minasu]
Roger: Oh man...
[Purasu and Minasu notice the Rovers]
Purasu: It seem we have company, brother.
Minasu: We shouldn't let them interfere.
[They appear in front of the Rovers and made a barrier behind them]
Tsunami: NANI?! (WHAT?!)
Hunter: Damn! They sealed us out!
Purasu: And the only way in is to defeat us.
Minasu: Think you dogs are up to tango with the elite?
Muzzle: Well there's only one way to find out! (cracks knuckles) LET'S GO!
Purasu: After you.
Hunter: Alright, Rovers! Let's roll!
Blitz: Now you're talking! (pops claws)
Tsunami: Ikuzou! (draws katana)
Minasu: This should be fun.
Purasu: Let's give them hell! Shall we?
Minasu: By all means.
[The twins charge at the Rovers who stood ready]
[Tsunami makes the first move]
Tsunami: TAIYOKEN! (Solar Sword)
[The Akita releases a slash of powerful solar energy from the blade of his sword]
Purasu: Oh please.
[Purasu easily stpops it]
Tsunami: Na... Nani?!
Minasu: Our turn.
[The twins came at Tsunami and then Purasu swept the Akita off his feet while Minasu delivered some hits]
Tsunami: UGH!
Twins: (cackles)
Blitz: Tsunami!
Roger: Sensei!
[The two charge at the twins]
Minasu: Oh you gotta be kidding me.
Purasu: What a shame.
[Blitz charges up his claws, and performs a Thunder Claw attack]
Blitz: Feel the thunder!
[The lightning strikes Minasu]
Roger: You got him.
[Minasu emerged slightly bruised]
Minasu: That kinda hurt, nicely done.
Purasu: Looks like the Doberman has grown much stronger.
Roger: Tsunami! Sensei! Are you alright?
Tsunami: I think so.
Roger: Are you hurt bad?
Tsunami: I'll be fine, my injuries are not severe.
Purasu: But they will be! And then you die!
Hunter: Not if we got anything to say about it!
Exile: Yeah, we're taking you down!
[Hunter and Exile charge their battle aura]
Purasu: (yawns) I don't know about you. But these pathetic pups are putting me to sleep.
Minasu: Same...
[Hunter dashes for Minasu, and attempts to race around him to create his tornado]
Hunter: Hope you didn't have lunch!
Minasu: Don't be so cocky, mutt!
[Minasu times Hunter's pattern just right, and stops him with a punch to the gut]
Hunter: AGH!
Colleen and Huntress: HUNTER!
Minasu: Awe! What's the matter? Did I hit too hard?
Exile: Comrade! You think you hot stuff, then let's heat you up!
Purasu: Come on then. Make our day.
Exile: Gladly.
[Exile powers up, and blasts out a massive heat wave at the twins]
Blitz: Whoa.
[Minasu and Purasu create a barrier shield to protect them from the massive blast wave. And they cross their arms and smile confidently]
Purasu: How sad, and this shield is real weak.
Minsau: Apparently not to them.
Exile: So you give up?! (continues attack)
Purasu: Give up?
Minasu: We're not even losing.
[Minasu appears in back of Exile, and knocks him into the sky. He then teleports to where the Husky was, and hits him several times. Then Minasu knocks Exile to the ground with his coupled fists]
Exile: (groans) [Minasu comes down, and stomps on Exile's stomach, causing him further agony] Exile: UGH! (spurts blood)
Minasu: (cackles)
Rovers: EXILE!
Connor: DAD!
Minasu: What a joke. And this guy is supposed to be a powerhouse? [Minasu grabs Exile by the back of his jacket, and lifts him up] You are all nothing more... Than a bunch of pathetic pups...
[Minasu hits Exile on his back]
Exile: AAAHHH!
Hunter: STOP IT!
Purasu: And what are you gonna do if we don't? None of you are a match for us. Now to do what Geist failed to do and kill you Rovers.
Minasu: Let's start with his brother and this worthless husky.
[Purasu teleports next to Blitz, and punches him in the gut]
Blitz: (vomits)
Huntress and Roger: BLITZ!
[Purasu then grabs Blitz by his collar]
Purasu: Ready?
Minasu: Set?
Purasu and Minasu: GO!
[Minasu and Purasu spin Blitz and Exile around in a very quick succession. Then they launch them high into the air, and attack. Minasu flies by and hits them both several times as he passes by them, knocking them higher and higher into the air. Purasu appears in between Exile and Blitz, and slams their heads together. Then team up and perform a high hitting combination attack, further injuring both dogs. Purasu manages to shatter Exile's ribs, while Purasu manages to break Blitz's left arm and right leg. Then they throw them to the ground next to the Road Rovers' feet. Purasu and Minasu then zoom down and deliver a finishing blow to them both. Exile and Blitz lie motionlessly on the ground before Purasu and Minasu, injured, bloody, and unconscious]
Purasu: Well, that takes care of them.
Minasu: Well then, which victim wishes to go next?
Connor: You monsters! You'll pay!
[Connor powered up, releasing and incredible amount of energy]
Purasu: What the heck?! I don't even...
Minasu: How could he have so much power?!
Connor: AAAAAH!
[He comes at Purasu and Minasu full force and hit them with some powerful punches]
Purasu: UGH!
Minasu: DOH!
[Connor wails on Purasu and Minasu with the ferocity of a Titan. Moving at the speed of light, and hitting with the strength of a God, Connor beats the twins senseless]
Connor: I won't forgive you for hurting my father! Or my uncle Blitz! This is for them!
Colleen: And I thought Muzzle was scary when he went nuts.
Connor: (screams in rage)
[Connor darts out at Purasu and Minasu, knocks the twins into the air, and delivers a finishing blow by blasting them away with a super charged energy blast from the palm of his hands]
Purasu and Minasu: GAAAAAHHHHH!
[The twins disappear as the blast illuminates the scene]
Muzzle: AH, MY EYES!
Huntress: The light is so bright!
[Everybody covers their eyes. But as soon as the light disappears, everybody looks to see that Purasu and Minasu are gone]
Connor: (panting)
Ace: Holy crap!
Hunter: Man oh man!
Roger: Did you see that?
Boomer: We all did Roger, but I think we should be more worried about Exile and Blitz.
[Hunter races up to the injured Exile and Blitz, seeing his friends in bad shape]
Hunter: Exile! Blitz! Speak to me!
Blitz: (groans)
Exile: (moans)
Colleen: Blimey! This is not good! Their injuries are too severe!
Huntress: We'll need to get them to a healer quick.
Voice: Perhaps we can help.
Roger: That voice... Could it be?
[Suddenly two canines appeared, they had purplish-blue fur and was wearing futuristic clothing]
Muzzle: Who are you two?
Female Alien Dog: Relax, we're not here to fight. I am Linun and this is my partner Aurs.
Aurs: And we- or should I say I can fix them up lickidy split.
Hunter: Please, save them. Our friends are dying.
Aurs: Hang on.
[Aurs' hands glow cyan and he starts releasing a mist of star-like dust on Exile and Blitz, within seconds their injuries healed, their bones were fixed and restored]
Linun: That should do it.
[Aurs stopped what he was doing as the two canines started to regain consciousness]
Blitz: Hey, what happened?
Exile: I don't know but the pain is gone.
Hunter: Thank goodness. And you have these people to thank.
[They look to see Aurs of Linun]
Aurs: Yo.
Blitz: Who are you?
Aurs: I am Aurs.
Linun: And I am Linun.
Both: We are Aisurandians.
Connor: Aisurandians? So...
Linun: And who are you?
Connor: I'm Connor, Aruma's son.
Linun: Aruma? Where is she? Is she still on this planet?
Exile: Sorry, Armua is dead.
Aurs: Dead? When and how did she die?
Connor: A few years ago. A demonic Doberman named Geist killed her.
Linun: Oh...
Hunter: Wait... Geist... Killed your mother?
Connor: Yes.
Hunter: Exile? Why didn't you tell us this?
Exile: Because... I... I didn't want to share that part of my life... I thought it'd be better if no one knew...
Muzzle: (angry) Oh that does it! Now it's more personal than EVER!
Colleen: I always knew Geist was a prick, but killing a young pup's mother? That is just beyond sickening.
Connor: (crying) That monster... (sniff) He should pay for his crimes...
[Exile hugs Connor]
Exile: Don't worry, my son. We will avenge your mama. We promise.
Connor: (sniff) Thanks, dad.
Tsunami: Yosh, ikuzou.
Huntress: And he will, kid. For all the wrongs he committed, Geist will suffer for it all.
Ace: Seriously, Tsunami. English! Not all of us can understand you.
Roger: He can't help it, Ace. English is not his first language.
Hunter: Not right now, guys! We have to keep moving! Let's roll!
Boomer: Uh guys, the shield is still up.
Muzzle: What?! I thought it would disappear after those twisted twins were beaten!
Huntress: Apparently they lied.
Roger: So that means... We can't get in...
Linun: Oh yes we can!
[Linun starts punching the shield, meanwhile with Geist he was still fighting Sonic and Shadow]
Geist: HAAAAHHHH!
[Sonic and Shadow dodge his attack]
Sonic: Whoa, that was close.
Shadow: We gotta take him down or we're gonna get minced.
Geist: DIE!
Sonic: This dog is too obsessed with death.
Shadow: What else is new?
Sonic: Nothing...
Shadow: Alright lets take this mutt down.
[Sonic and Shadow power up while charging straight towards Geist]
Sonic: Time for the Light Speed Attack.
Shadow: Make that a double.
Geist: (roars) [The two hedgehogs starts dashing around Geist at unmatched speed and they started knocking Geist around like they were a pinball machine] UGH! DAH! GAGH!
Tails: Look at them go.
Sally: Go for it, guys!
Knuckle: Yeah, kick his sorry ass!
[Sonic and Shadow continue delivering heavy blows onto the mad Doberman, relentlessly attacking him faster than the blink of an eye]
Sonic: Let's finish this!
Shadow: Agreed.
Sonic: Here I go!
[Sonic speeds around Geist, creating a tornado that lifts him off his feet. And then Shadow delivers the finishing blow]
Shadow: Chaos... SPEAR!
Geist: NOOOOOOOO! AAAGGGHHHH!
[Geist was launched into the sky and disappeared from out of sight]
Sonic: Look's like Geist is blasting off again.
Shadow: (crosses arms) Ding.
Sonia: Did Shadow actually partake in a joke with Sonic?
Manic: Now we've seen it all.
Shadow: That's the only joke you'll hear out of me. Now, let's get back to business.
Tails: And that's to find the others.
[After one final punch Linun broke through the shield and the rest of it shatters]
Aurs: Way to go, Linun!
Linun: Alright now we can move on.
Sonic: Who the heck are those two strange dogs?
Sally: We can ask them later, right now we got to go!
[And so they proceed. Meanwhile, with Silver's group]
Guntiver: Damn that little brat is tough!
Silver: And that female Doberman isn't too shabby herself.
Damon: I have my father to thank for my strengths...
Blaze: Yeah, he did great raising his own child to grow up and end up just like him. What a father.
Stilette: Your sarcasm is charming, for a cat. [Stilette charges at Blaze, and attacks her ferociously. Blaze manages to avoid her sais, and back-flips one to get out of her range.] What's the matter, pussycat? Scared?
[Stilette lunges at Blaze]
Blaze: Don't push your luck, mutt!
Stilette: HAAAHHH! (points sai)
[Blaze engulfs her hands with flames]
Blaze: Ready to feel the flames of fury?
Stilette: (snickers) Here kitty, kitty.
[The two females charge at each other]
Guntiver: Look at em go!
Axel: They sure going all out.
[Stilette and Blaze continue with their fight, going at it with the force of feirce predators. Stilette manages to headbutt Blaze, and kick her back. She hits a wall]
Stilette: You're mine!
Blaze: Like hell I am! [Blaze hits Stilette with a super charged Fire Claw attack] Feel the flames of justice!
Stilette: UGH! I won't be beaten by you, cat!
Blaze: Is that a fact?
[Blaze delivers a finishing blow using the Flames of Kilekion, which knocks away Stilette, and sends her flying high into the sky]
Stilette: I'LL HAVE MY REVENGE!
Blaze: Dream on, She-Devil.
Guntiver: Now all that's left is Damon!
Axel: You think Silver can take him?
Silver: Only one way to find out... (charges up aura)
Damon: Foolish rodent, your only way out is death!
[Damon powers up]
Big: This looks scary.
Guntiver: Don't worry, Big. Silver's got this.
David: And if not he's got Blaze to back him up.
Damon: Come on! Let's do this!
Silver: With pleasure.
[Silver and Damon engage. Trading attacks like crazy, throwing punches and kicks at each other]
Blaze: Whoa...
Damon: RAH!
[Damon hits Silver in the gut]
Silver: UGH!
[Damon uppercuts Silver, and hits him high into the air. But before he could do anything more, he is hit from behind by Blaze]
Damon: UGH! YOU?!
Blaze: No one cheap-shots my Silver.
[Blaze uses pyrokinesis on Damon]
Silver: Blaze...
Blaze: HAAAAHHH!
Damon: Your flames won't protect you, feline!
Blaze: Huh?!
Damon: Let me show what the Flames of Hatred can do!
[Damon utters a sinister grunting sound, and attacks Blaze with his Flames of Hatred]
Blaze: Whoa!
Damon: HAAAHHH!
[Damon hits Blaze with his attack]
Silver: BLAZE!
[A pillar of fire emerged from the Flames of Hatred and then the two flames disappeared and Blaze was still standing]
Gunitiver, Axel, and Silver: No freaking way!
Calina: Did you guys forget? Her soul is lit with flames, no known fire can hurt her.
Guntiver: Oh... Nevermind...
[Blaze hovers down, glowing bright with a red and orange aura]
Blaze: Yes. And now that that's been taken care of, we can proceed.
Stryker: Go get him, Blaze!
[Damon was ready to fight but then Blaze retuned to her normal color and turned away]
Damon: Where are you going?! I'm not done with you!
Blaze: But I am. There's no point in continuing this pointless fight. If I were you, I suggest you get out of here and do something more worthwhile cause if you keep following in your father's footsteps your just going to ruin your life like he did his own, you're too young to throw away your childhood and your life.
Damon: That's my business! Not yours!
Blaze: Before you do anything more, I suggest you think about the seriousness of your actions.
Damon: The only thing I need to do is kill you and your friends!
Blaze: Is that all you ever think about? Is that all life is to you? Then you truly are a lost soul like your father. You sad, sad pup.
Damon: Shut up! You wouldn't understand, none of you would! You don't even try to.
Axel: Kinda hard to understand someone when they're trying to kill you without justification. Geist keeps blaming humans for making him into the monster he is today, yet does he even try to turn his life around? No. He keeps doing what he does and his only alibi is humans are the ones at fault. If he can't accept that he is at fault as well, then his hatred is going to keep eating away at him until there is nothing left but an empty shell.
Silver: It's not too late to change, Damon. You still have a choice. You have the ability to think for yourself and make your own decisions. You don't have to walk your father's path.
Guntiver: Don't be afraid to look into your heart. Don't let hatred consume you and ruin your future. And don't be the monster that Geist is.
[Regina comes into the scene]
Regina: Please son, you can still do the right thing.
Damon: Mom?
Regina: I know why you're doing this, son. You want your father to finally notice you and accept you, but he isn't. Your father has lost the ability to love, and because of that he walks a path of carnage and destruction. Is that really what you want?
Damon: I...I don't know! I JUST DON'T KNOW!
[Suddenly Jaakuna appears]
Jaakuna: Perhaps you still need time, little one.
[She creates a portal that sucks Damon in yet he does nothing to fight it]
Silver: Damon!
Regina: SON!
[They were too late, Damon was gone]
Jaakuna: Don't worry, Regina. We'll take good care of him.
Regina: No! Let my son go! You have no right to take him away from me!
Jaakuna: Oh really? Last I checked, you wanted to see Geist as much as Damon did.
Regina: Geist lost his soul long ago! He cannot be saved! I was a fool to love him!
Jaakuna: And you were a fool to let your son come with you. Despite knowing what kind of dog Geist was, you still came thinking there was a chance he could change, yet your efforts were futile and let your son fall down the path of darkness with a small chance of escaping. Real good parenting, Regina.
[Regina falls to her knees and cries]
David: You monster...
Jaakuna: Stick and stones, jackal. Sticks and stones.
[Jaakuna warps way]
Guntiver: Damn! She got away!
Ripley: We'll get her. I know we will.
[Regina is seen crying on the floor. And Guntiver walks over to comfort her]
Guntiver: Don't worry Miss, we'll get your son back.
[Regina looks up at Guntiver with tearful eyes]
Regina: You...you will?
Guntiver: Yes... Don't worry... Everything will be okay... We promise...
[Guntiver picks up Regina in his massive arms]
Regina: Thank you...
[Meanwhile, back with Jaakuna and Damon]
Jaakuna: I think you need some time to sort out your priorities, child.
Damon: But... I'm so confused...
Jaakuna: I know child. And you need time to figure things out.
Damon: But how?
Jaakuna: Come, I'll show you.
[Damon takes Jaakuna's hand, and she takes him down a corridor]
Damon: (thinking) {Mother... Blume...}
We then cut to Tekuno's team, who were dealing with Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth]
Mutt: These guys are starting to get on my nerves.
Tekuno: But we can take these guys. They're not so tough.
Dingo: Not so tough?! Why you little-!
Mutt: Come on! Make my day!
Sleet: Don't push your luck.
Mutt: Look whose talking...
Sleet: That's it! No more Mr. Nice Wolf!
[They finally engage in their fight]
Tekuno: Ring Shockwave!
Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth: CRAP!
[The three get hit with his attack]
Tekuno: You give up?
Sleuth: No. We're not done!
[Sleuth draws a gun from his holster]
Rouge: They just don't know when to quit.
Sleuth: We're through playing games. This is where it ends.
[Sleuth prepares to shoot]
Omega: Neutralizing opposition.
[Omega aims his blaster at Sleuth's gun, and shoots it out of his hand]
Sleuth: YAH!
[Sleuth holds his hand in pain]
Omega: Opponent disarmed.
Sleet: We're not licked yet!
[Sleet takes out a razor disk, and throws it]
Omega: Counterattack.
[Omega turns his hand into a machine gun and fires at the razor disk stopping it in mid-air]
Sleet: Huh?!
Rouge: This is just pathetic.
Mutt: You guys are out of your league. So you better just surrender.
Dingo: What do we do now, Sleet? We hit them with everything we got.
Sleet: Not everything.
Sleuth: Well what then, genius?
Sleet: I still got one more trick left.
Tekono: So? Do you give up?
Sleet: Not at all. In fact...
[Sleet creates a sphere of cyan energy]
Mutt: What is he doing?
Sleet: ARTIC CANNON!
[Sleet releases a giant freeze blast at the heroes]
Omega: Activate flamethrowers.
[Omega uses his flamethrowers to counter the arctic blast, and the two attacks collide]
Sleet: Now's our chance. RETREAT!
Mutt: Oh no you don't!
[Mutt tries to stop them but the steam from the heat and ice made a thick fog to where he couldn't see anything] Hey! What's going on? Where...?
[Rouge uses her wings and created a powerful gust that blows away the fog, when it faded Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth were gone]
Tekuno: Damn, they got away.
Mutt: Great! Now what do we do?
Rouge: All we can do is regroup with our friends and blow this pop stand.
Omega: Instructions understood. Proceeding with mission...
Tekuno: Alright then.
[Tekuno and his team decide to head out and find their comrades]
Mutt: Rouge, are you sure you know where we're going?
Rouge: Of course. Shadow's communicator has a tracer, and I'm using that to locate him.
Omega: Sensors indicate that allies are close by.
Tekuno: How close we talking here, Omega?
Omega: Estimated distance, 4 kilometers.
Mutt: That's close.
Tekuno: It sure is.
[Suddenly, they see a shadow on the wall down the corridor. It resembles a big muscular wolf]
Rouge: I can't tell is it Canus or Gunti?
[The figure speaks in a familiar sounding voice]
Voice: Does the sound of this voice help?
Tekuno: Wait! That's Guntiver!
Mutt: Its good to hear you!
[Guntiver emerges from the corner, and reveals that he's carrying Regina in his arms. And soon the rest of his team follows behind them, revealing themselves]
Rouge: Who is that you're carrying Gunti?
Guntiver: This is Regina. Geist's ex-wife.
Tekuno and Mutt: Geist was married?!
Guntiver: Apparently. Who would have thought a homicidal monster like him would be married? And how anybody could love him is a mystery in itself.
Rouge: Love knows no bounds Gunti.
Ripley: Well, now that we're all together, I suggest we get a move on. The others can't be too far.
Silver: Good idea.
[The united groups journey down the halls together, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious]
Guntiver: This place is like a maze.
Rouge: Don't worry my friend. Shadow is close, you can ask Omega.
Guntiver: (turns to Omega) How close are we?
Omega: Less than 2 kilometers.
Shadow's Voice: Much less...
[They look and saw Sonic and Shadow with their team and the Rovers]
Mutt: Sonic!
Tekuno: Shadow!
Guntiver: And the Road Rovers!
Exile: Hello comrades.
Roger: Did you miss us?
Mutt: We sure did!
[Mutt races up to Roger, and they share a hug]
Sonic: Now we just got to find the others and then we're out of here.
Shadow: Right.
Sally: The wolfpack is next on our priorities. NICOLE, can you pinpoint the Wolfpack's exact location?
NICOLE: Working.
[Sally waits for an answer]
Sonic: We're waiting...
NICOLE: I have an answer. The Wolfpack Freedom Fighters are less than 3 kilometers away.
Sally: Thanks NICOLE.
Shadow: I can sense them approaching us.
Sonic: Then we'll meet them halfway.
[The heroes proceed further down the halls]
Sally: We should be getting closer.
Shadow: We are.
Knuckles: I hope the others are doing alright.
Sonic: I'm sure they are, Knux. Wait... I see something up ahead... Could that be...?
The group sees a black shadow on the walls that looks like Lupe. And another one follows that looks like it belongs to Lobo.
Tails: Is it them?
[Suddenly, Future Marcos jumps out from the darkness, drawing his sword]
F. Marcos: Who goes there?!
Manic: Whoa! Easy dude, its just us.
Lupe: Marcos! Put away you're weapon! There's no need to be paranoid.
[Marcos sheathes his weapon]
Sonia: Now that we got that out of the way, we should keep going.
Lupe: Agreed. But first, is everybody present and accounted for?
Selena: So far yes.
Sally: Then we can proceed. Come on, heroes. It's time to defeat Jaakuna, and put an end to this war once and for all!
Shadow: We still got ways to go before we can take her down for good.
Sonic: What? I thought we were getting close!
Shadow: Believe me, we're not EVEN close. We still have to get out of this maze. And besides, I don't think reaching Jaakuna will be that easy.
David: And we still need to find the remaining Star Emerald shards.
Lupe: Then we gotta keep moving.
Tsunami: Hai.
[The heroes continue down the path. Meanwhile, back with Jaakuna]
Jaakuna: Where are they?
Psycho: We're all here... Empress...
[Jaakuna turns around to see Psycho and the rest of the defeated villains before her. They were all in bad shape. All except for Sleuth, Sleet, and Dingo, who managed to escape unharmed]
Jaakuna: Well don't you all look like you went through hell? Well most of you.
Drago: Please, I can explain...
Jaakuna: No need. I can tell that you lost.
Sleuth: Hah! Losers!
Jaakuna: At least they didn't run away like cowards.
Geist: My thoughts exactly. And I don't think it's such a good idea to be a smart ass with me, Sleuth...
Jaakuna: Geist, let me handle this.
Sleet: So what should we do?
Mauler: We just got our asses kicked. How do we expect to stand a chance against them?
Jaakuna: It seems you all need a power up, but in order to get a real good one, I am gonna need to make some artificial Star Emeralds.
Eva: Please do. I hold a personal grudge against those do-gooders now. And I won't rest until it's been settled!
Jaakuna: Don't rush me, it'll take time since I got oh so few shards. I think I'm gonna need to call in a friend to help gather the remaining ones.
Drago: I see. And just who is this friend of yours you speak of? (cough)
Jaakuna: His name is Senus and he is an Aisurnadian, one of the most powerful and smartest Aisurnadian I came across. He can help.
Drago: Aisurandian?
Lockjaw: What is that?
Jaakuna: They're a race of humanoid canines with extraordinary abilities. Many centuries ago I destroyed most of them so they wouldn't become a thorn in my side.
Stilette: And Senus is one of those that survived?
Jaakuna: Correct. There was another one I think you killed a few years ago, Geist.
Geist: Yes... She was that brat's mother, and the wife of Exile.
Jaakuna: I find that feat impressive. Aisurandians are extremely powerful, like Aeons. She should have been able to handle you.
Geist: Well for some reason it was easy for me.
Jaakuna: I wonder... perhaps Senus will enlighten me with some answers. Until then, I got one more trick left for the day. Sleet! Dingo! Sleuth! Come forward!
[They do so]
Sleet: Yes, Jaakuna? What can we do for you?
Jaakuna: Nothing right now. First, I'm going to do something to you three that will unleash the beasts within you. Are you ready?
Dingo: Well... Ummm... Well...
Sleet: Yes! We accept!
Jaakuna: Good. Now hold still.
[She created 3 circles around their feet]
Dingo: Ooh pretty.
Jaakuna: Invocabo virtute stellarum dimittimus monstra haec tria ut inhabitet eliminare hostem (I call upon the power of the stars, release the monsters that dwell within these three so that they can eliminate their enemy.)
[Suddenly a small but powerful surge of dark energy emerged from Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth. Pretty soon they starting to grown in height in width, their muscles started to expand, their teeth started getting sharper as did the claws on their hands and feet, and their fur took on a darker shade of their original color and started to look more wild. After their metamorphosis they seemed more feral-looking]
Sleet: Whoa, I feel more powerful!
[Sleet felt his muscles]
Sleuth: You still got that pot-belly.
[He pokes at Sleet's belly]
Sleet: Cut that out, Sleuth!
Dingo: Oy.
Jaakuna: Enough! Intercept the intruders and use your newfound strength to eliminate them!
Sleet: Very well. You may consider it done, Empress.
Jaakuna: Good. Now get to it!
[Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth vanish, and set out to carry out their orders]
Stilette: You know they're gonna fail.
Jaakuna: Perhaps, but it might help get more information that Senus could find beneficial when he comes.
[Meanwhile with Sonic and the others finally reunited with the MAS, Fenrir, Taurus, Tatsu, Clarissa, Topaz, Maria, Hope, Akito, and her relatives]
Sonic: Okay. So the gang's all here. Now what?
Clarissa: We get out of here. We got a mission.
Tails: Of course. But how do we find the exit?
Voices: Perhaps we can help.
[They all looked and saw Vadi and Vida]
Sally: You guys?
Knuckles: How did you get here?
Vida: We were tracing Aurs and Linun.
Axel: How do you know them?
Aurs: We had some run ins in the past.
Sonic: So wait, you're acquainted with each other?
Vadi: More or less.
Linun: We'll explain later. Vadi, Vida, lead the way.
Vadi: Very well. This way.
[The heroes follow the twins to the exit, but when they got there they found it was blocked by Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth who looked much different than before]
Sleet: Going somewhere?!
Typhoon: What the hell happened to you wankers?
Dingo: Like the new us? We got new makeover!
Knuckles: And here I thought you guys couldn't get uglier.
Sleuth: Well get ready for a world of pain, do-gooders! Prepare to meet your maker!
Axel: Bring it on chumps!
[Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth engage with the heroes, and another fierce battle ensues]
Sleet: DIE!
F. Marcos: Not today, pal! (draws sword and powers up)
David: We'll handle them!
Dingo: TAKE THIS!
[Dingo slams his fists to the ground, and causes a massive Earthquake]
David: I don't think so. VITAL SPHERE!
[He launches an orange energy sphere at the oncoming Earthquake]
Dingo: Huh?!
[The two attacks collide and cancel each other out]
Sleuth: That won't save you weaklings!
[Sleuth charges up, and uses his new powers to create a magnetic field]
Shira: Magnetism?
Sleuth: You got that right! And now you will all fall before the wrath of Sleuth Doggy Dawg!
Ripley: Do your worst, we're not scared!
Sleuth: How's THIS?!
[He releases a magnetic shockwave and everyone with metal in or on their clothing stuck to either the floor or the wall]
Omega: Malfunction... Terminal error... Malfunction...
Shadow: My feet are stuck!
F. Marcos: My sword!
Tsunami: Shimatta!
F. Maria: My bow!
[Marcos, Tsunami, and Maria's weapons get sucked away]
Raptor: This is not good.
Jasper: Ya think?
Tails: What do we do?!
Rouge: We keep fighting!
Sulea: Yeah! We'll handle these three creeps!
Taurus: Good luck, Miss Sulea!
Taki: Come on, Connor! Let's fight together!
Connor: My thoughts exactly!
[Connor powers up, and tackles Sleuth]
Noki: Go Connor!
Sleet: Worry about yourselves!
[Sleet powers up his ice powers, and fires a blizzard]
Blaze: Not so fast! INFERNO TWISTER!
[Blaze summons a massive inferno attack that cancels out the blizzard]
Joe: Crikey!
Raptor: Whoa!
Dingo: We'll crush you!
[Roaring, Dingo rushes for the heroes]
Shira: That's what you think.
[Shira uses her dark powers and fires multiple violet energy spheres at Dingo]
Dingo: Wha?!
[Dingo gets zapped by the spheres]
Shira: Ready to see what my darkness is capable of?
[Dingo is stunned]
Dingo: Damn...
[Dingo drops to the ground]
Shira: That should take care of him for now.
Knuckles: Don't celebrate just yet! We gotta take these guys down!
[Knuckles charges at Sleuth, and delivers a few hard hitting punches to his gut]
Sleuth: Wretched echidna!
[Knuckles continues his attacks]
Knuckles: Let's see how you like my Maximum Heat Attack!
[Knuckles delivers his Maximum Heat Attack on Sleuth, delivering a fast and powerful punch]
Sleuth: AGH!
[Knuckles delivers a finishing blow to Sleuth's chin, and knocks him out. Sleuth collapes, and hits the ground]
Knuckles: And he's down!
[Sleet tries to freeze Amy as she comes at him with her Piko Piko Hammer]
Sonic: Amy! Watch out!
[Amy uses her Hammer to launch herself into the air]
Amy: Nice try!
Sleet: I'll get you!
Sally: I don't think so!
[Sally activates her wrist blades, and charges at Sleet]
Sleet: Damn you!
[Sleet smashes his fists into the ground in an attempt to hit, Sally. But she effortlessly avoids his attacks, and comes at him with full force]
Sally: YAAAHHH!
Sleet: Not yet!
Sonic: What?! [Sleet starts blowing powerful cold wind towards Sally] Sally!
Hope: Sally, catch!
[Hope tosses Sally a capsule with a fire icon on it and when she activates it a flame shield formed around her]
Sleet: Cheating bitch!
Sally: Takes one to know one.
[Sally decks Sleet in between his eyes]
Sleet: (shouts)
[Groaning in pain, Sleet covers his face with both hands]
Sally: Can someone knock him out?
[As if on cue Amy came down and smacked Sleet on his head knocking him out]
Amy: That screaming was hurting my ears.
Rouge: Now the only left is the furry magnet.
Sleuth: Oh, aren't you just funny?
Rouge: No, THIS IS!
[Rouge uses her Screw Kick attack on Sleuth's head]
Sleuth: (groans)
[The magnetic field disappears, and everybody that was effected by it were set free]
Vladimir: Thank you, comrades.
Sheng-Long: Let's wail on him!
Prowl: No! We got more important things to do.
Sheng-Long: What do you mean?!
Drakon: He means we got to go find the remaining shards.
Tozoku: Yeah, we'll get them back eventually.
Prowl: That's right. Now come! There's no time to waste!
Joe: Right behind ya, mate!
[The heroes make a hasty retreat to the Blue Typhoon. Our attention is then focused on Jaakuna and her minions]
Drago: I wonder how Sleuth and the others are doing...
Geist: I bet you anything that they failed. And I sure as hell hope they did.
Jaakuna: If your intention is to kill them, then forget it. Unlike you, I am willing to forgive failure unless it doesn't give me the results I want. Besides without failure one can't know success.
Geist: I never said I wanted to kill them, Empress. I just think it would be funny to see them fail, so they can know what defeat tastes like.
Jaakuna: You make sound like they never tasted defeat at all.
Drago: With all due respect, I'm with Geist on this one. I can't wait until they come back so we can laugh and gawk at them! Maybe their defeat will teach them not to belittle us over our failures!
Eva: For once I agree with the wolf.
[Sleet, Dingo, and Sleuth returned defeated]
Slitette: Well look who showed up.
Geist: Looks like something the cat dragged in.
Drago: Yeah. Three very SORRY cats, I'll say.
Geist: You losers were all laughing at us a short while ago. Well, whose laughing now?
[Geist utters his maniacal laugh, and the other villains join in with him]
Jaakuna: ENOUGH!
[She creates a small explosion silencing everyone]
Strange Voice: I see your manners haven't improved much.
Jaakuna: That voice... I know who that is...
[Suddenly a humanoid canine appeared with navy blue and purple fur, his eyes were bright red, he had a built physique and was wearing what appeared to be a grid suit with yellow circuit patterns]
Stranger: Hello Jaakuna.
Jaakuna: Senus, its been a long time.
Senus: Indeed it has been. So, how much has changed in my long absence?
Jaakuna: Humans have come a long way in past few hundred years. Look at what was produced cause of their creativity.
[She presents Geist and the other mutants]
Sensus: I see. Very interesting. It seems humans have found the means to create humanoid animals. Though too bad they still have yet to be perfected.
Psycho: Oh? How can my creations be perfected?
Jaakuna: Care to explain to the good doctor, Senus?
Senus: Well, for starters, you'd need power beyond comprehension. The power you harness is nothing compared to the power of a full fledged Aisurandian like myself. But don't worry, I have some special soldiers who will help carry out the task at hand.
Jaakuna: Prepared as always I see.
Senus: Absolutely, Empress. Now, with no further delay, let me introduce my associates. (snaps fingers)
[Suddenly five humanoids with cyan skin appeared, they all had the same dark blue outfit on]
Senus: At ease my friends. We need to introduce you to our new friends.
Human Aisurandian #1: You summon us, Senus?
Human Aisurandian #2: Yes, I believe he did.
Human Aisurandian #3: And we shall carry out our mission; to stop those do-gooders. All of them. Everyone I like to meet the Atmos Gang, these three are Meso, Strato, and Astheno. And the other two their names are Thermo and Tropo.
Strato: Pleased to meet you all.
Meso: Indeed.
Stilette: Well they're quite pleasant.
Astheno: You don't know the half of it, baby.
Tempo: So what's our mission, Senus?
Thermo: Yeah, we're aching for action.
Senus: Slow down. Let's have Empress Jaakuna bring us up to speed.
Jaakuna: Your mission is to find the remaining star emeralds, destroy all those who oppose me, and help Psycho find some potential recruits for his new MAS army.
Senus: Sounds good to me. You heard her! Atmos Gang, move out!
[The Atmos gang heads out to begin their mission. Meanwhile at the Blue Typhoon II Chris, Ichiro and Kyoko were starting to worry about their friends]
Kyoko: Where is everybody? They've been gone an awfully long time. I wonder if anything has happened to them.
Chris: I'm sure they're fine.
[Suddenly Ichiro spotted something]
Ichiro: Nanda?! (What?!)
Chris: What do you see?
Ichiro: It's... It's the guys! They're back!
[Chris and Kyoko soon saw their friends returning]
Chris: You're right! It's them!
Kyoko: They're all safe!
Ichiro: Though who are those strange dogs with them?
Kyoko: I don't know...
Chris: We'll know when we talk to them.
[Sonic and his friends finally approached the ship]
Sonic: Hey guys, did you miss us?
Chris: We sure did! You guys certainly took long enough!
Hershey: Well its not like we were going up against a group of lowly criminals.
F. Marcos: Yeah. We went through hell, man!
Exile: At least I got my son back.
[Exile hugs his son]
Ichiro: So who are these... People?
Vida: Who?
[He points to Aurs and Linun]
Vadi: Oh them. This is Aurs and Linun, they are Aisurandians.
Kyoko: Aisurandians?
Chris: What are those?
Sally: They are a race of space canines from another world.
Linun: We hale from the planet Aisuranda.
Aurs: Yes. And Exile's son Connor shares our blood. He is part of our legacy.
Chris: So then his mother was of your race?
Linun: That's right.
Chris: Where is she?
Aurs: She's dead.
Chris: (shocked) What?
Connor: Yes. She was killed by Geist.
Vida: But how? Aisurandians are the most powerful species in the universe.
Linun: Perhaps we can explain. You see when Aisurandians breed with creatures outside their species, their child gets the majority of their powers, which is why Connor has great powers.
Vadi: That explains a lot. Aruma was one of the strongest known Aisurandians in history. And we know how she fell to someone like Geist.
Connor: But why?
Aurs: Your mother had no choice, if she didn't you wouldn't have been born.
Exile: Aruma...
Connor: Mother...
Hunter: Poor Connor...
Colleen: Exile and his son did not deserve this... That Geist is a sick bastard... I hate him even more than I hated Blitz. No offense, Blitz.
Blitz: You got nothing to be sorry about. I hate him even more than I did before. Geist thinks humans are evil, yet he doesn't care who he kills, to him everyone is just another victim to his cruelty. All that proves is he is no better, he's worse!
Roger: He is beyond redemption. But right now he's the least of our problems. That's for sure.
Jasper: Yeah, we got shards to find.
Raptor: We should return home first and get some rest. We had a long day.
F. Marcos: What do you mean?! We've come this far! We can't go back now!
F. Maria: Marcos...
Guntiver: Marcos, we're all exhausted. Its too risky to go out as we are now.
Lupe: My son does have a point though, we've come this far. And we can't quit. Because if we do, we'll lose everything we worked so hard for.
Ichiro: I agree, wholeheartedly, Lupe-Sama. But lucky for all of us, the Blue Typhoon II has enough bedrooms for everybody. So we may each take this time to get some sleep to regain our strength. We've earned some rest for now.
Hunter: I agree. And when duty calls we'll be there to answer it.
Diablo: You said it, pal.
Sally: Well I don't know about the rest of you guys. But (yawns)... I'm off to bed...
Sonic: Me too.
Knuckles: Same here.
[After a long and desperate battle, the heroes all decide to call it a day. And so they all rest up inside the Blue Typhoon II. But meanwhile, Jaakuna was still out there, planning and plotting the heroes' destruction. And that's not all, but she also plans to gain possession of the shards. And now with the help of her Aisurandian minions, led by Sensus, things are bound to get more tense and more desperate by the moment. Will our heroes survive Senus and his minions?
