Hermione Cullen Goes to Hogwarts Chapter 33
"He is such a horrid boy! I can't stand him," Hermione exclaimed as she threw her bag on the floor and laid down dramatically on the couch of the Cullen's Hogwarts house.
"Bad day, dear?" Esme smiled sympathetically as she brought a plate of cookies into the room and placed them on the table in front of the couch.
"The day wasn't all that bad. The spawn of Satan was throwing a tantram like something almost killed him," the angry Gryfindor complained, taking a cookie off of the plate.
"Ah, you mean Mr. Malfoy," Esme guessed, taking a seat beside her neice. The young Malfoy heir was often the reason for one of Hermione's rants.
"As I said, the spawn of satan," she agreed. "You would have thought he was dying. Hagrid told him about having ot respect the bird. You can't just go up and act like you own the creature. Just because he's Draco bloody Malfoy doesn't mean that he has the right to do what ever the bloody hell he wants to!"
"Language," Esme scolded.
"Sorry, Aunt Esme. He just makes me so mad!" Hermione exclaimed. Sighing, she laid her head on her aunts leg. Esme immediatly beginning running her fingers through her thick curls, trying to calm her irritaed niece. "Can't you just bite him and hide the body?"
Esme chuckled and started humming a comforting lullaby. Hermione asked them to bite the young man at least once a week, sometime twice. She didn't understand why Draco always seemd to press his luck with her niece. Esme turned her head towards the door, still running her fingers through the sleepy girls hair. She watched as her husband walked in at human pace, clearly not wanting to scare her.
"Good evening ladies," Carlisile greeted to two beauties as he kiss both of the ladies on the cheek before taking a seat next to Esme on the couch.
"Will you bite someone for me, Uncle?" Hermione asked sleepily.
"I already told you, dear, that I have taken an oath to not harm a human while I am working for Hogwarts," he reminded her, watching as her cute bottom lip pouted. "Besides, Mr. Malfoy is really in some pain. Don't you think he deserves some sympothy?" Carlisle asked with a smirk.
"He deserve sympothy from no one. Hagrid warned us at the begining of the class that Buckbeak had to be treating with the utmost respect. The pompus prat was just jealous that the bird chose to allow Harry a ride on his back and him," Hermione huffed.
"If I didn't know better, I would think that you had a thing for the Malfoy kid, as much as you talk about him," Emmett stated as he walked in the front door, followed by Rosalie.
"You are an idiot," the blonde vampire declared, smacking her husband on the back of the head.
"Thank you, Rose," Hermione stated, glaring at Emmett as she got up and gathered her bag.
"Where are you going dear?" Esme asked as Hermione grabbed a cookie before walking to the door.
"To the library. I have some work I need to finish," she answered as she walked over and hugged both Esme and Carlisle. "Thank you for the cookies. Bye Rose."
"What about me?" Emmett pouted, causing Hermione to smirk as she took the path back to the castle.

Looking out over the Great Lake, the book in her lap forgotten, Hermione couldn't beleive all that had happened the last few months. Her third year at Hogwarts had been just as eventful as her first two years, but more emotional for sure. It very well could have been more emotional because of all the classes she had to take and keep up with. Or it could have been because of all the drama Harry had to put up with.
The demoentors that the Ministry had placed at Hogwarts for the protection of the students, would not leave Harry alone. It was as if they had decided to target The Boy Who Lived, like he was hiding Sirius Black in his trunk. During one of the Quidditch matches, Harry had ended up with a broken Firebolt and in the infirmiry for a fair number of days.
Sirius Black himself had broken into the castle and had gotten all the way into Gryfindor tower. The Fat Lady had scratches all over her portrait but no one else had been injured. That night the whole castle had slept in the Great Hall. Hermione smiled as she remember being pulled over to where the twins had set up their sleeping bags, George stating that they just wanted to make sure that she was well protected. Edward and Jasper had walked over to make sure their hands were keep to themselves. Alice had been so irritated that she hadn't seen the fugitive break into the castle. For some reason she just couldn't see him. That had never happened to her before.
"It'll be alright Buckbeak, I'll be with yeh 'til the end, girl," she heard Hagrid say. Hermione looked over to see the gentle giant stroking the birds head.
It made the young bookworm so angry to think about the way that Malfoy had gotten the bird set to be exicuted. It was to happen that afternoon.
"Hey Hermione, you ready?" and Harry asked as they walked up to where she had been sitting. The trio had decided to go pay their respects to Hagrid, to let their friend know that they were there for him. They all felt guilty that they had not helped more in the appeal to stop the hippogriff from being exicuted.
"Yes, let me put my book away." she sighed, shoving that tome into her full bag. Taking a deep breath, she let all of her Gryffindor courage carry her to the odd shaped hut to comfort their friend.
