Epilogue

Katherine looked at herself in the mirror of the bridal suite at the hotel where they were holding the outdoor wedding and reception. Steve and her had decided it would be better if they married quickly, just in case something world threatening happened again.

It was just going to be a small wedding, mostly just people from SHIELD, Darcy, Jane, and Thor had mentioned that his friends-a group called the warriors three and Lady Sif were coming as well though Kat had no idea who they were.

She had invited some of the people from Mystic Falls, but she doubted they would show up, just because they had been allies did not mean they were friends.

The wedding dress that she had picked out was both sexy and elegant (she had made sure of that) it was strapless and the white silk material flowed down in elegant waves. There was a small white satin bow around her waist and she was wearing high heels that were a bit higher than she was used too, but the pain was worth it.

Her hair hadn't gowned that much in the past few months, so they had just curled it too perfection.

"Nervous?" Natasha asked as she adjusted the veil. She, Pepper, Darcy, and Jane had agreed to be her bridesmaids and were dressed in marching sapphire dresses.

"A little," she admitted. "It's not every day you get married, and I certainly didn't think I would after 500 years."

"I got you a little something." Natasha said as she pulled out a small box. "To pay you back for saving me a year ago."

"You didn't have too." She said as she pulled out a small sapphire and pearl hair pin from inside. "It's beautiful."

She shrugged modestly. "It was not big deal. Now you can have something new and something blue."

Katherine adjusted it, in her dark curls and hugged her first friend in 500 years of loneliness. "Thank you."

"Katherine, Natasha it's nice that you two are having a friends moment, but we need to go now," Pepper appeared wearing the sapphire bridesmaid dress and holding a cell phone. "We're already behind schedule."

Katherine and Natasha exchanged smiles. "I thought I was the one getting married. Why are you the one freaking out?"

"I'm the event coordinator and I say move it!"

Pepper and Natasha helped Katherine with the tail of the dress while Katherine held to the bouquet of pink roses.

"It's about time," Jane looked uncomfortable in her high heels that she wasn't used to wearing. "My feet were about to cry."

Darcy was chewing gum while going over her playlist. "Kat, is it cool if I give some suggestions to the DJ later at the venue?"

"Sure," she said as she held on to the bouquet. "Though no techno or country. I hate it."

"Gotcha."

The tune of here comes the bride began playing and Katherine started walking down the aisle until she reached the alter where Steve was waiting for her. He removed the veil and smiled at her. "You look beautiful."

"Thank you." She said.

The ceremony went by quickly and before they knew it the minister said. "You may kiss the bride."

Steve gave her a quick, polite gentlemanly kiss before he pulled back and placed a hand around her waist. "We're finally married, Mrs. Rogers."

She giggled. "I wouldn't have it, any other way."

"I hate to say it, but she looks gorgeous." Rebekah said as she and Stefan walked into the venue.

"Rebekah, jealousy is not attractive." Stefan lowered his voice playfully.

Rebekah sniffed. "Fine, maybe I am a little jealous." She said soberly. "She seems so happy and almost a decent person which is weird."

Stefan shrugged. "People change. Do you know why Thor and his friends were throwing Steve and Katherine flowers?"

"It's Norse tradition," she explained. "It's common in wedding ceremonies, it's supposed to represent a long and fruitful matrimony."

"Hey, you guys actually showed up." Katherine said smirking as she came towards them. Her cheeks were flushed bright pink and her curls were slightly messy, but her eyes were shining.

"Congratulations, and here," Stefan handed her a bottle. "It's from Elena and Damon, they're in Switzerland. It's their wedding present."

"Thanks," she looked back at Thor and Tony who with the rest of the Asgardian people were starting a very loud drinking competition while Steve relentlessly tried to shut them up. "I better hide it though before they start drinking it, like it's a milkshake."

"You look very pretty and the decorations are wonderful," Rebekah said before handing Katherine a white and blue box. "Here, so it's not exactly a wedding present for you and Steve, I didn't get you a toaster."

"Let me guess it's a voodoo doll." She said sarcastically.

Rebekah smirked. "Actually, I thought of it, but no it's a baby monitor."

"Um, Rebekah we don't have a baby."

Rebekah eyed her suspiciously as if trying to figure out if Katherine was lying. "Yes, you do, well not right now obviously, but you pregnant I can hear two hearts. Yours and the baby."

"Me too," Stefan frowned. "That's the reason I thought you were marrying so early because of the baby-"

Katherine shook her head. "That's almost impossible."

"No, it isn't remember what Hela said," Rebekah quoted. "But one day you will be rewarded for every lost you have had had. Hela gave you and Steve another chance."

"That went well, didn't it," Steve murmured as he and Katherine laid on their bed that night. They were leaving on their honeymoon tomorrow. "I still can't believe Thor and Tony went through five bottles of vodka each."

"I can't believe you find that hard to believe." Katherine snorted as she rested her hand on Steve's chest. "Rebekah and Stefan shared an interesting news with me today."

"Hmm. What?"

Katherine couldn't help but smile. "I'm pregnant. I'm going to have another baby."

Steve looked at Katherine in disbelief. "Wait, what I thought Bruce said it was almost impossible-"

"Hela did it," she admitted. "She said that she couldn't bring back the dead, but that she would try to make it up to us somehow."

"Wow," Steve grinned. "Well, God bless Loki's daughter."

Katherine snuggled next to him. "I love you, Captain America."

Steve kissed her forehead and ruffled her curls. "I love you too, Agent Pierce."
