Prompt: Rest in Peace
"Mama?"
"Yes?" Rowena asked, glancing down at Helena as the two of them walked. As they walked they passed the non-magic folk on the way. It was nearing All Hallow's Eve as the muggles were carrying items that would help them prepare for the night.
"Why do they carry those items in their hands?" She asked as they passed a couple, watching them as she stopped walking before skipping to catch up with her mother.
"Well, All Hallow's Eve is upon us."
Helena just looked at her mother curiously, head tilting to the side. "And?"
"That's when muggles can see their departed loved ones."
"They need a day to do that?"
"It's more complicated then that. They don't want to disturb them in any other way and want their departed loved ones to rest in peace."
"Oh," she pursed her lips as she watched another few muggles passed them. "Well, I hope they get to see all their loved ones."
Rowena shook her head, grasping on to her hand tighter. "Come on, we need to go now."
Helena glanced up at her mother, nodding her head as the two of them hurried up their pace to get to their destination on All Hallow's Eve.
