Xavier went to the VSS facility to check on Pinkerton, he brought two more Big Towners, to work as monkeys, and another two to serve as other door guards.
"Pinkerton, I brought you two monkeys to clean up and fetch things for you!" Xavier announced as he walked through the door.
"Good, this place is a mess, and I can't exactly get preggo or the night watch to clean it up!" Pinkerton complained.
"Yeah, about that, you haven't had him out 24/7 have you?" Xavier asked.
"Of course not, what sort of idiot do you think I am? I do my best with what I can. Please tell me you brought more guards." Pinkerton sighed grumpily.
"Yes actually. They are to rotate 9 hour shifts that overlap, no confusion to take advantage of." Xavier smiled, taking off his helmet.
"Yeah yeah, come here, you were the one who did the operation Anchorage simulation, so I want you to check something out with the simulations and I dug out a few things. And by a few things I mean every single form of martial arts ever made." Pinkerton punched a few keys on a terminal and pointed out a neural interface suit on a nearby table, "Put it on and get in. We're gonna see how well the mental time dilation works." Xavier changed into the suit and hopped into the simulator.
He felt his muscles being worked as it started up. He went through just about everything from Jeet Kune Do to Krav Maga.
The simulator pod opened up, "How long have I been in there?" Xavier asked.
"About an hour. You're done for the day, also, you should probably lay down for a few days." Pinkerton said, thumbing through his Big Book of Science.
Xavier groaned as he tried to get out of the chair, he was sore everywhere, "What the hell?"
"There were some incomplete pieces of software with the simulator, I completed them and I upgraded them, no need to thank me, but you've got the equivalent of a 17 hour work out along with martial arts skills engraved into your brain."
"Well, I have to be able to walk out of here, or at least change into my armor, don't I?" Xavier asked.
"I suppose so, do you want some Stimpacks?" Pinkerton asked going to his own medical bag.
"Please and thank you."
Pinkerton grabbed 9 stimpacks, injecting two in each limb, two in Xavier's torso and one in his neck, "There you go, now, I have much more work to do." Pinkerton said, waving Xavier off.
"All right." Xavier changed into his armor and went home.
