This is the first chapter typed completely on my phone! Now, after that happy information, I think you're ready for some sadstuck. So let's begin!
"Attention all faculty members, we are going into a lock down." Nepeta frowned at the announcement. In the event of a drill, it would have been announced. This was the real deal.
Nepeta and the rest of the students quietly shuffled to the shelf. Nepeta crouched down and hid, sitting next to Terezi.
"I think it's Gamzee," Terezi whispered. "He said he was taking his dad's gun and killing us all."
"Wow. I just hope Equius is alright. He's in gym," Nepeta muttered. Her best friend was currently in one of the most dangerous places in the school. She looked behind her and saw a grate for a vent. She smiled.
"Please don't," Terezi said. Equius will be fine, so don't even risk it."
"Are you going to stop me?" Nepeta asked, prying the weak piece of metal off. Terezi sighed and shook her head. Nepeta grinned. She managed to get the grate off, and set it down quietly. "Thanks," she said, crawling into the vent. Terezi gave a sad wave, then blocked the vent.
Nepeta was able to crawl through easily, even if dust got in her short blonde hair. Every time she came across a grate she would look out to see where she was. Not once did she see Gamzee.
After a few minutes, Nepeta found herself at the top of the gym. She kicked he grate, then pulled it back. She slowly moved out of the vent, holding on to the bottom. She climbed on the support beams. It wasn't a challenge for someone who spent her time in the forest climbing trees.
Nepeta looked at the top of the bleachers, where the class was hiding. Nepeta smiled as she saw Equius safely tucked away, even if it was somewhat awkward for the larger boy.
Then the door was kicked down. Nepeta grasped to the beam, silently watching Gamzee walk in. "Where the fuck are the motherfucking students?" Gamzee whispered. It was scary how it echoed through the gym.
Gamzee laughed and held his machine gun in one hand. His black hair stuck up in every way, making him look even crazier. He effortlessly climbed up the bleachers. "Found you motherfuckers!" he yelled, pulling the trigger.
"Equius!" Nepeta cried. Somehow, he heard her. He looked up at her, giving her a sad smile before the bullets went through his chest. Nepeta looked away.
The firing stopped and Nepeta looked back. Everyone was dead, and Gamzee was laughing. Equius was on the floor, blood in his long black hair.
Nepeta growled. Not knowing what came over her, she leaped off the beam towards Gamzee, hissing and screaming, tears streaming down her cheeks. Gamzee turned and smiled, dropping his gun.
Gamzee grabbed her arm, stopping her descent. He smiled at her, then dropped her. He trapped the gun an, holding it by the barrel, began beating her with it.
Nepeta cried out in pain. She began losing conciousness, and the last thing she remembered was the blood covering her head and Gamzee's demonic smile.

Nepeta groaned. Everything was so bright. She moved her hand to protect her eyes from the light, then she realized; her hand was gray. She sat up surprised, and looked at herself. Her hair was now black, and she was wearing a fuschia outfit. On the chest was a purple heart. She felt the top of her head. She had two horns poking out of her head.
She stood up, not knowing where she was. She walked around, admiring the beautiful dreamscape. Wait, why did she call it that? Meh, nevermind.
"Nepeta, please wait up," someone said from behind her. Someone very familiar. She turned around, and squealed when she saw Equius, wearing a dark blue outfit with a swirl on the chest. Like her, he was gray-skinned with horns. Nepeta tackle-pounced him.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't save you," she cried.
"You know that we died?" Equius asked. Nepeta nodded. "Don't be sorry. I should have been stronger."
"At least we're together now," Nepeta said. She smiled and hugged him. At least everything was better now.
