The Wait: Confessions
Lunch was peaceful and nice, in Chihiro's opinion. They were at a more isolated corner in the mess hall, and it was only the two of them at a small table. Since there was hardly anyone close to them, Chihiro decided it would be a good time to corner Haku. He had nowhere to go now, she thought, snickering internally.
"So," she started, "how was the discussion with Shou?"
Haku looked up briefly. "It went well."
"What were the two of you discussing about?"
"Just some renovation plans to expand the shelter since more and more spirits are coming in to stay in the shelter."
If she didn't know that he was lying, she would have bought it completely. That man was amazingly good at concealing things.
Chihiro nodded. "That's nice… was he at the office when you got there though?"
Haku raised an eyebrow. "Why do you ask?"
"Oh, nothing, because I actually had breakfast with him and we had a good time catching up," she replied, pausing to chew her piece of chicken. From the corner of her eye, she noticed uncertainty flicker across his face as he remained silent and continued eating.
"Fine, you got me," he said after catching her expectant gaze. "I didn't go to meet Shou. I was—"
"Alone, right? Shou said you did this to him a couple of times back when you were in charge," she smirked. Haku narrowed his eyes at her. "Since when did you get so mischievous?"
"It's not mischief; it's wit," Chihiro corrected. Haku only chuckled. "What's so funny about that?"
"The way you actually believe that." Chihiro faked a look of outrage and reached across the table to give him a good knock on the head.
Her arms were too short, though, which only tickled Haku even more.
Grumbling to herself, Chihiro took her fork and began stabbing the meat on her plate. "You're such a jerk, you know that?"
"Lin tells me that only all the time."
She rolled her eyes and laughed. "But seriously," she said, "what were you thinking about? During breakfast you seemed so disturbed. Is something bothering you?"
Haku twisted his lips wryly and looked down at his now empty plate. "It's nothing much, actually."
Chihiro sent him a flat look. "You know I'm not buying that. Do you want to talk about it?" When he did not reply, she placed her hand over his. "I'm here if you want to talk about anything, okay? But… I'd really like to know what's bothering you," she added slyly, making sure to tone her voice accordingly. "I mean, you know so much about me, but I don't. That's okay though, I mean, it's your business, right?"
For once, the woman thanked her mother for teaching her the guilt-tripping technique. It was working well to her advantage. She suppressed the smile creeping up her lips as she saw Haku wavering and the skin on his forehead crinkling in hesitation.
"My business is your business," the man said after a moment. "But it's not much, actually. I was only thinking about my friends back in the Shugorei."
"Do you miss them?" she asked, intrigued.
"I've worked with them for a few years. Not a very long period of time, but we did go through a lot together. Are… you interested to know more?"
Chihiro nodded eagerly. "I've never heard about your life back when you were in the Shugorei. I only heard a little about it from Kamaji. You spirits are the guardians of this realm, or something like that, aren't you?"
"Sort of," he replied with a small smile. It felt nostalgic, thinking about those times again. "The Shugorei is in charge of the overall welfare of the realm. Mainly, their job is to stop spirits who disrupt the peace in the realm."
"So it's something like the police force?"
"Yes, very much so."
"But, why did you join it in the first place? Didn't you already have the bathhouse to take care of?" Chihiro asked.
Haku shrugged. "After Sora's death, I needed something to keep me busy and distracted. Joining the Shugorei heavily increased my workload, so I could barely think about anything else. It was a way of numbing myself, I guess."
The woman nodded understandingly. Haku cleared his throat and continued. "Makoto was the chief placed in charge of my team. The past couple of years have been very intense under him. He has high expectations of everyone, but he does his job well, and he is a good leader. Everyone acknowledges that. But, as you know, I quit not too long ago, and Makoto has been trying to persuade me to go back ever since."
"Why? You're not the only one in the team."
"He claims that I am a "rare talent", though I fail to see how. The others are just as, if not stronger than I am."
As expected, Haku really was amazing, to have even someone like Makoto acknowledge his capabilities. "Then, are you considering going back to the Shugorei?"
Haku looked at her as if she had just said the most ridiculous thing ever. "Of course not. If I joined, I wouldn't be able to come back to the human world; there wouldn't be much time to spare, and I want to spend my time with you." He placed her hand over hers, squeezing it. "Like I said, you're all that matters to me now. Besides," he added, "it's very tiring to work in the Shugorei."
"Mm… But… Then why were you so troubled?"
Haku took a sip of green tea. "I was only thinking about some of my closest teammates. We went through thick and thin together, even life and death situations, so the bonds we forged are strong. Sometimes I do wonder how they're doing and if they are well. It's a shame I do not get to see them, though. They are much too busy for that."
Chihiro nodded. "I see… You never know, maybe you'll get to see them again?"
"Perhaps, if fate allows it," he said.
"Well, in future if anything bothers you, you know that I'll be there, right?"
"Definitely. I'll tell you everything from now on, okay?"
"Even the color of your underwear?" she grinned playfully.
"Why tell you when I can show you?" he shot back, playing along.
Chihiro laughed. "Okay, stop. I can't imagine you in boxers, leg hair and all."
Haku looked offended at that. "I'm not that hairy."
"You shave?" she asked incredulously.
"Nothing of the sort!"
Chihiro burst out laughing at his outburst, and he made sure to shoot her the biggest scowl he could muster, though it didn't last for long and he eventually joined in her laughter as well.
When they finally composed themselves, Chihiro stood up. "Let's go. I want to talk to Shizuna again." She wondered if Shizuna was going to talk to her though. The way she had blown up at her earlier was still bugging her.
"How did it go earlier? Did she tell you anything?" Haku asked.
Chihiro sighed. "She finally initiated a conversation, but then she suddenly got angry, saying that I didn't actually care about her or mean anything that I said… I just- I don't know, I don't know how to approach her. Should I even go there? Maybe you would do better…"
He frowned, folding his arms across his chest. "She wouldn't talk to you that way for no reason. Perhaps it was a sore spot for her?"
"I didn't mention anything much though."
"What makes you think I'd do any better than you?"
"She's not angry at you," Chihiro pointed out. "And you were the one who saved her, weren't you?"
"Yes, but that doesn't necessarily mean she will talk to me about these things. Besides, I'm not that good at comforting people."
"You were the one who made me feel all better that time when I was freaking out after my parents turned into pigs."
Haku's lips parted into a big smile at the memory. "Ah, yes, I remember that. You were crying and thought I was going to turn you into a pig too."
"Of course I would think that. My parents just turned into pigs by some freak of nature, and then ghosts were appearing out of thin air, and I had nowhere to go. Honestly, I thought you were going to eat me."
He laughed. "If I wanted to, I could have done that when you fell into my river."
She made a face. "Why didn't you eat me then?"
"You were so tiny then. Even if I ate you there'd hardly be any meat for me to enjoy. So I decided to spare your life, and then planned to woo you after you grew into a nice, beautiful woman, and then after all that, eat you up."
"Hah, funny," she deadpanned.
"Brilliant plan, wasn't it? But I changed my mind after falling for you," he winked, sneaking his arm around her waist.
"Cheeky." Her lips turned up as she poked him in the ribs.
"Well, we shouldn't waste any more time. Let's go visit Shizuna one last time before we leave, alright?"
"Are you sure about this?" she asked hesitantly. "What if Shizuna blows up again when she sees me?"
"Trust me. It'll be fine," he said, pulling her along.
"How do you know?"
"Just a feeling."
"Don't tell me; dragon's intuition?"
"Perhaps. It's reliable though."
Suppressing a snort, she replied, "It better be."
Very soon, they were outside the familiar door and they entered, after Haku spent some time pacifying the woman and assuring her that nothing was going to happen. Shizuna was on her bed as usual, but her head whirled around at the sound of the door opening. At the sight of Chihiro, she got up. "Chihiro, are you okay? What happened to you?"
A little too surprised to register the unexpected concern coming from Shizuna, Chihiro dumbly stood there with her lips parted slightly. She only came back to her senses when Haku nudged her in the side gently. "Um… I'm fine, really. It's nothing," she answered a little awkwardly.
"Her body cannot adapt to the frequency of the Spirit Realm, hence the migraine attack. One of the doctors gave her some medicine to dull the pain, but we have to leave by tonight in case her condition worsens," Haku said.
"Oh… That's good then…" Shizuna got back on her bed stiffly.
"The part about me being fine, or the part about me leaving?" Chihiro joked—or tried to. She wasn't exactly the humorous type. That, she knew, because she was always the only one being amused by her own jokes while everyone else remained silent or if they were exceptionally nice people, laughed just so she wouldn't feel too bad about herself.
"The part about you being fine, obviously." Clearly, Shizuna wasn't one of those rare, exceptionally nice people.
Not quite knowing what else to do, Chihiro looked to Haku. He always had good ideas about everything. But apparently this time, he wasn't intending on helping her out that much. He only signaled for her to go talk to Shizuna with his eyes. She frowned at him, and he frowned back, and then she sighed. There wasn't much she could do, really. So she slowly shuffled towards the bedside.
"I, um, how are- I mean, I don't have much time left here, and I don't know when I can come back… It might be a long time before I see you again… Will you be alright here?"
"How bad can it get here?" Shizuna scoffed.
"It's just that, you don't seem to be particularly close to anyone else here. Isn't it kind of lonely?"
"I'll live. It's better being lonely than betrayed, anyway."
Chihiro was stunned. Had she been betrayed before? "What makes you think that?"
Shizuna had a bitter look on her face as her fists clenched tightly. Her expression was grim, with pain and hurt written all over it. This was the first time Chihiro had seen Shizuna so vulnerable. She had always been so guarded around people, even her. This was the first time she displayed this much emotion. "I was betrayed," she muttered darkly.
"That man, that beast, he was a sham. Everything he did, everything he said were all lies. He never meant any of them, yet I was foolish enough to trust him. I skipped and pranced happily into his trap, so stupidly and willingly."
"Are you… alright? You don't have to continue if you don't want to." Chihiro asked, genuinely concerned that Shizuna would get too worked up.
"Don't worry about me. You wanted to know why I did it, right?"
"Yes, but if it's a really sore spot for you, then don't force yourself."
"I'm fine. Just let me get it all out." Shizuna swallowed thickly before she continued. "His name was Hiroshi. I used to love wandering in the human world in my crow form, because everything there was so mysterious. It was there that I met him. I was curious because he looked upset over something when I first met him, so I approached him and began to talk to him." She let out a long breath. "That was the biggest mistake of my life.
"I soon fell in love with him; I decided that he was a good man, and he knew just how to charm me. That was probably his most attractive point. And before long, I decided to choose him as a mate."
She turned to Haku. "I know mating with a human is… is not conventional. But I chose to do it regardless. Regardless of how others thought, because I loved him. I wanted him to stay with me forever. And mating, you should know," she then looked to Chihiro who seemed slightly puzzled, "is once in a lifetime for spirits. Mating means giving your soul to the other; it's an exchange of souls for all eternity. That bond cannot be broken, not until death.
"We did live a happy life, but after a few years, I found him slowly growing more and more distant from me. I didn't know why, but shortly after, I found out." At this point, anger began to settle over her features, adding some color to her pallid face. She abruptly paused then, and asked, "Do you like flowers?"
Chihiro, not sure where she was going with this question, answered truthfully, "They're pretty nice. Why?"
"I hate them," Shizuna said coldly. "Flowers remind me of that scum. They appear beautiful for a moment, but then in time, they begin to wilt; they cannot last. They don't have the perseverance to. They're so weak, just like whatever attraction he had towards me.
"One day, I came back to our home, only to find him with another woman in bed together. He was shocked to find me home, and he quickly chased her away. I was angry with him. I questioned him. He only apologized and said he wanted a divorce." Tears formed in her eyes and one by one, they slid down her cheeks. "He never gave it a second thought. I couldn't keep him by my side, no matter how much I begged. And just like that, he left, along with my soul."
Chihiro put an arm around her comfortingly. "I can't believe you went through so much."
"No…" she shook her head, sniffling, "that wasn't the end of it. With no more choice, I was forced to return to the Spirit Realm. I… I was homeless, and I had no money on me. I had nothing left. He took everything away from me, and I thought I was going to die, just like that. But then, just as I was on the verge of giving up, an elderly couple rescued me and took me in."
She smiled grimly at the memory. "They lived in a small village by the ocean, and they gladly took me in, without any conditions. They said they had no children of their own, and finally they had one. I was a stranger to them, but they treated me like I was their own. And so, with their support, I slowly managed to recover and get over everything. I would help them in their little shop, just to relieve some of their burdens, and life got better eventually."
Just then, Shizuna let out a bitter laugh. "But Fate is horribly cruel. She breaks you, and then makes you think everything can be fixed, before hurling all of Hell's destruction upon you. That's how things went down. Everything went wrong in a flash. One day a group of crazy demons came and attacked the village. They wiped everything out. I was about to meet my doom as well, but the couple, they took the blows for me, and covered for me until the Shugorei came and got rid of the demons. My adoptive family was killed just like that."
The woman let out a deep, deep sigh. Chihiro felt her heart deflate at the sound of that forlorn sound. "I had nothing left, to be honest. I just wanted to die. There really wasn't any point in living anymore. The pain was really too much to bear. That was why… I did it. I tried to kill myself. I told myself there was no one else who cared anymore, that there was no one else I could trust ever again.
"That was," she looked up at Chihiro, "until I got to know you."
"Me?" Chihiro gawked.
"You're probably the most dense person I've ever met, but you're certainly the most innocent as well," Shizuna said with a tiny smile. "You don't even know me that well, yet you were willing to risk your own health to stay. I-I don't know… thanks… for being a friend."
Unexpectedly, Chihiro pulled her in for a big hug. Shizuna was too shocked to move for a moment. Acts of care and love like these seemed so foreign to her after so long. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were going through so much. But don't do anything silly anymore. It's all in the past, and you've got a lot more ahead of you."
"I don't know- What do you want me to do? There's nothing left…"
"There is!" Chihiro insisted, pulling away and holding her shoulders. "You have me! You have Haku, and Shou, and everyone else who's been taking care of you and worrying about you these past week. We really care about you, Shizuna. So… so don't hurt yourself anymore, okay? I'm your friend, and I don't want anything to happen to you. You'll find something worth pursuing, and something worth living for. I just know it. And time will heal your wounds. Trust me. Everything's going to be alright, okay?" She hugged her again.
That dealt the final blow, and then Shizuna found herself sobbing like a baby in Chihiro's arms.
The pair closed the door carefully behind them, not wanting to stir Shizuna. "I hope she feels better soon."
"She will," Haku said. "Opening up to you was an enormous step towards recovery. I believe she'll begin to look on the positive side of things soon."
Chihiro hummed happily. "Yeah, I hope so. Shou will be there for her anyway. He knows how to make people laugh a lot, so she'll probably take a quick liking to him."
"He also knows how to irritate people," the man pointed out meaningfully.
Chihiro laughed. "Oh, you and your tsundere personality."
He rolled his eyes, saying nothing, knowing that she'd only laugh at him even more. "It's almost evening. Do you want to go pack your things first?"
"I'll do it later. There's not much to pack anyway. It won't take more than 5 minutes."
"Okay then. What would you like to do now?"
"I'll just say my goodbyes to Rei and Shou, I guess." She noticed Haku stiffen at the sound of Rei's name with much amusement. "Are you by any chance, jealous?"
Looking away, he answered, "No."
"Really?"
"I wouldn't be so petty over such a trivial thing."
"Oh, okay," she nodded with a big smile on her face. "I'll just go look for Rei by myself first. You can go find Shou or something. I'll meet up with you later."
Haku grabbed her by the arm before she could leave. "I think Shou is busy at the moment. I might as well accompany you to see Rei first before we head over to meet him."
Chihiro grinned. This man was too cute, but he was also cleverly sneaky. "Okay. But, where should we start looking for him, though?"
"We could ask around," Haku suggested.
With the help of some of the staff around, they managed to quickly locate Rei. The man was in the shed at the back of the garden that was behind the shelter. He was moving some heavy boxes, and thanks to Chihiro's loud greeting that shocked the life out of him, he stumbled and ended up being squashed by everything.
"Ah! Rei, are you alright?" Chihiro panicked and made a mad dash over to him, helping to lift the boxes off of him. Rei coughed a little and he got the rest of the load off of him somewhat easily. Standing up and dusting himself off, he smiled. "Well, it's nice to see you again, fair lady."
"Nice to see you too," she smiled coyly. "I didn't mean to scare you, I'm so sorry about that!"
Rei chuckled gently. "No need to get flustered over that. Look at that, you've got dirt on your face." He reached out his hand to brush the side of her cheek gently, presumably where the dirt was.
"Th-Thanks…"
"There you go, all pretty again."
Chihiro laughed. "By the way, what brings you here?" he asked.
"I'm actually leaving tonight, so I kind of came to say goodbye."
"Oh? Why the hurry? I thought you were staying for one more day."
"She's not feeling too good, so she can't stay here for long," Haku said, sidling up next to Chihiro.
"I see… that's unfortunate. When will I get to see you again?"
"To be very honest, I have no idea. But I'll come back as soon as possible to visit you guys again," Chihiro smiled.
"I do hope so. I really wish I could have spent more time with you, but my work…"
"It's cool. We can always catch up again the next time I visit!"
"Of course. Maybe the next time we could go out into the city. You look like you'd be interested in the culture here."
Chihiro broke into a huge grin. "That would be great! I'm looking forward to it!"
"Well then, we better get going. It's getting dark and we should be leaving soon," Haku said then.
"Oh, okay… I need to go pack my stuff before leaving, so I guess this will be the last time I see you for a while. Take care, alright?" Chihiro beamed, holding her hand out for a handshake.
"I will. Take care of yourself too, sweet Chihiro…" Rei took her hand, but instead of shaking it, he tugged her forward and his lips met her cheek gently. "I'll miss you," he whispered in her ear, sounding a little sad.
Chihiro wished the heat in her cheeks would go away. And she really didn't want to know what was going through Haku's mind right now.
Knowing him, it was probably murder, war and the wrath of hell.
"Yeah, I'll miss you too, Rei." She pulled away, and waved a little awkwardly, conscious of the burning gaze of Haku's boring through her. "Bye. I'll come visit when I can."
"I'm looking forward to our next meeting!" he winked, waving back.
Then, the woman turned away and together with a scarily quiet Haku, they walked back into the shelter to look for Shou. On the way though, Haku was extremely stiff. She didn't know what to do at all. What was she supposed to say? Was he mad at her? But it wasn't her fault!
"So… uh… where do you think Shou is?" she asked nervously.
"Probably in his office. How about we go back to the room and pack up first?"
She didn't' exactly want to go back to the room where they would be alone and awkward the whole way. She needed Shou with them to say something to distract him! But she didn't want Haku to shoot someone or shoot fire out of his mouth anytime soon even more, so she meekly resigned. "Okay…"
The walk to her room seemed like eternity. There was barely anyone around, since the spirits were mostly in the mess hall having their dinner at this time. When they finally reached the room, Haku went in first while Chihiro timidly followed behind. She closed the door behind her, but when she turned around, she found herself face to face with Haku, and his hands were on either side of her face.
Haku's lips were tugged down in a scowl. Lines on his forehead appeared as he frowned and his eyes were hard as they stared at her. She prayed and hoped hard that there weren't any pimples on her face. She cleared her throat, hoping to dispel some of the tension.
It didn't work.
"How's it g-going, Haku?" she tried asking, though her voice came out as a squeak, an octave higher than usual.
He didn't reply. He only kept staring at her, which more than unnerved her. Was he really going to kill her?
"I-I'm uh, sorry about e-earlier—" She was cut short when Haku crushed his lips against hers in a split second, surprising the wits out of her. Kissing her fiercely, his hands rested at the small of her back, pulling her body against his. Chihiro's accelerating heartbeat drowned out all other sounds, and her senses were all going out of whack thanks to the dragon.
Her whole body felt like it was on fire; she didn't dare imagine how red her face must have been then. She couldn't think straight in the least, though the only things her brain managed to register somehow, was how Haku smelled so nice, how safe she felt with his arms around her, how strong and hard his body was. His lips were hard against hers, and she couldn't fight against him at all. She would have loved to continue, but it wasn't too long before she began to struggle for breath.
Thankfully, Haku pulled away in time, and rested his forehead against hers, breathing heavily. Chihiro was dazed, only aware of how close Haku's face was to hers, and the lingering heat on her lips. She decided to focus on breathing so her brain would stop going into overdrive about practically everything. "You belong to me, and me alone. No one else can touch you like that," he growled, making a feral sound at the back of his throat.
Chihiro gulped. Were dragons supposed to be this possessive? "You're mine, Chihiro. Mine." He kissed her again just as harshly, and soon Chihiro was making sounds of protest and trying to gently push him away from her. It seemed to only make him even more agitated, however. "Haku," she gasped, but he only responded by pulling her body closer to his.
"Mine. Mine. Mine," he repeated over and over, as if trying to brainwash her. "Haku, please…" she whimpered, arms falling to her side.
Eventually, Haku finally got the hint, and loosened his hold on her, and like a frightened little mouse, she immediately scurried away. To be honest, she would have gone out the door just to leave Haku alone to cool down a bit, but he was standing there, preventing any escape from the room, unless she could jump out the window and live.
Throwing her bag onto the bed, she began to pack her toiletries, medicine and clothes, all the while facing away from Haku who was leaning against the doorframe quietly as he waited for her. Chihiro felt like she was going to suffocate from all the awkwardness. Only the sound of clothes and zippers filled the room, but was not nearly enough to drown out the deafening silence in the room.
When she was finished packing—in about 5 minutes, true to her word—she slowly shuffled to the door where Haku was. "Um… we can go now."
Haku didn't budge.
"Haku, let's go."
Still, there was no response.
She sighed, but internally panicked. What exactly was going through this dragon's mind? It was quite scary to imagine what he would do next. She searched his face for any remote indication of whatever he might be feeling.
His eyebrows were furrowed, as if he were in deep thought, and his eyes were staring blankly into space. So he's just spacing out… Sighing, Chihiro snapped her fingers twice in his face, effectively startling him out of his thoughts.
"Ready to leave?" she asked.
"Yes, of course." He reached for the doorknob, when he abruptly paused and turned to face her. Chihiro immediately looked away when she met his dark green orbs. She still didn't know how to face him at the moment. "I'm, um," he started, "I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier."
Chihiro still dared not look up.
Shoving his hands into his pockets, he said, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have forced myself on you. Did I frighten you?"
Chihiro swallowed and continued focusing on that tiny black dot on the floorboard, finding it of great interest all of a sudden. She felt some heat gather in her cheeks. "Sort of, I guess… But it's fine."
"I know it is petty of me to get jealous over such a trivial thing, but when I saw him kiss you…" His hands balled into fists in his pocket. "I failed to control myself. I shouldn't have done that."
Chihiro put her hands over his fists, and felt them relax almost instantly. "It's really okay. I shouldn't have allowed Rei to do that to me, actually. I already knew from Shou that it was a sensitive issue for you, so—"
"Shou told you?" Haku cut in.
Judging from his tone, he wasn't too happy about it. "Y-Yeah… Don't blame him though. He was only trying to help."
"That idiot…" he cussed beneath his breath.
"He didn't mean any harm, so don't hurt him later when we meet him," she warned.
"I can't guarantee anything."
Chihiro rolled her eyes. "If you try anything, I'm going to pull your ear."
"Pull my ear?" he echoed.
"Hey, don't take it lightly. It really hurts. My mom used to do that to me when I was naughty. She'd pull and then twist so my ears turned red."
"I suppose I should take it seriously, then."
Chihiro narrowed her eyes at him. "You better."
Chuckling, Haku opened the door. "We should go. Shou should be in his office. Do you need help with your bag?" He offered to carry it for her, but she declined the offer.
"What kind of girlfriend would I be if I made you carry even this tiny bag?" she said.
Haku smiled to himself and quietly followed after her.
A/N: So… I don't even know what the 'surprise' that I mentioned in my previous note was. Oh well. This chapter turned out way longer than I intended lol, which was why I took some time to get this done.
Oh, and I got some pretty freaking fantastic reviews that melted my heart for the previous chapter, so here's a big virtual hug to all of you!
KanaMac, SAK00, Princess Hephzi of Arendale, diety, Seishin no Hime, nataliezoom130, long Liv D. King, animexlover23 and nzgirl!
After reading the reviews the first thing I did was finish up this chapter when I got home today lol. Thanks for the sweet, lovely comments! Really appreciate every single word! (:
So school has just started for me, and my exams are actually in a month, so updates may be less frequent (not sure yet; I'm still sorting out my schedule and stuffs) but I'll do my best to update as soon as I can yeah! (:
[Spoiler alert for TFIOS! Don't say I didn't warn you.]
P.S. Just curious to know, did any of you cry after reading the book or watching the move? I didn't. Not sure if it was because my sister and Twitter spoiled the ending for me so the whole time I was reading the last couple of chapters I was just wondering when Augustus was going to die. Like basically, when I got to the end of a chapter I was like, "So is he dead yet? When in the world is he going to die?" Omg. I hate spoilers. Ruins everything in a story.
I realize Chihiro has a similar predicament as them LOL. Good luck guessing how this story ends (I've already had it in mind from the moment I began writing this story HAHA).
Okay I shall stop here. See you soon (hopefully)~ God bless and thanks for reading! ^^
