TAKE THIRTY-NINE:

So the climatic removal of Gogo from the scene caused an uneasy silence to fall over their atmosphere. So Honey acted as a helpful therapist/concerned friend to Fred. She sat on the edge of the desk, folded her arms, tilted her head, and spoke in a hopeful voice. "You should go after her and apologize. Say something funny, make her laugh, and come back with your arms around each other's shoulders," Honey suggested quietly.

Fred sat, resolute, in a swivel chair. His arms were folded as well, but in determination to not give up his resolve. "She's the one who freaked out, so I just don't see the point of going after her if she's the one who should be apologizing to me." Fred, for once in his life irked by one of his friends, wasn't very forgiving.

Tadashi, having figured out using moles and stoichiometry, adjusted the levels of air being pumped into Baymax's left side. He sighed at Fred and said calmly, "My name is Tadashi Hamada, and this is the thirty-ninth test of my robotics project." No slight bruising of friends' nerves was going to deter him from his project.

Baymax was inflated properly (to all's relief), and he stepped off his charger all by himself. Tadashi felt like a proud father, until he heard the distinct noise of Baymax's defibrillators firing up. Baymax's Mickey Mouse hands raised up in front of him, showing off his electrified chargers. Anyone have a heart attack?

"Night of the living Baymax!" Fred said, scrambling out of the way as Baymax walked slowly, like a stilted penguin, toward the students. Honey slipped and slid out of the way and Wasabi made a head-dive before Baymax could press his defibrillators to his chest, in which his rapidly thumping heart beat like a drum.

Tadashi came around Baymax and pressed the 'off' button before anyone got an electrical shock. Baymax's hands fell and he powered down into a harmless robot.

"Are those really necessary? The chance of him actually needing to recharge someone's batteries seems low," Wasabi said, breathing heavily as he bent over, his hand on the swivel chair's back.

"He's a healthcare robot; he's got to be prepared for anything," Tadashi said, marching Baymax back to his tinkering spot.

"Especially heart attacks, which I am surprised none of us have had on his account yet," Honey joked, to uneasy, sarcastic laughter. Too soon, Honey.
