Hello my llamas! Part of this is being hurriedly written because I'm going to a wedding in about 30 minutes. So I apologize beforehand for any mistakes. (And beware, there is much cussing in this chapter!) Enjoy!

Soul's POV

"That is messed up man." Black Star burped, then sighed.

"That's not all, that cat back there? It's not a cat."

"What? The shit you talkin' 'bout? How high are you?"

"Dude!" I rolled my eyes. "I'm not high! The cat is a shape-shifter named Blair. That's who clawed the hell out of me. Little bitch..." I muttered.

We'd been sitting on the bench for an hour before I noticed a cop car passing by. So we abandoned the park, and eventually made our way to some fancy subdivisions where we were walking now.

"So basically, to sum things up, you like Maka, but she's dating Kid, who is one your best friends."

I nodded.

"Damn. Not sure what to say." Black Star put his hands on the back of his head. "If you were a god, like me, you could get any girl instantly." He said haughtily. I rolled my eyes again.

"What makes you think I can't already?" I said turning to look at the blue haired idiot. "Remember who was dubbed as 'The Player'? Me."

Black Star sighed. "You know there is something I want to say."

"Spit it out."

"Why do you like her?" He asked. I froze. "Seriously dude, she's flat-chested, wears pigtails, and is violent. Generally not the type of girl you go for. Actually, she's the exact opposite of any girl you've ever wanted to get with."

"So," He paused. "What gives?"

I ignored him for a bit, then finally decided that I should answer.

"I don't know honestly. Mostly I just thought of her as another vagina to fuck. Never in a million years did I picture anything like this. I mean come on," I turned to him. "I've never ever actually fallen for anyone. Not until...her." I breathed softly.

"Soul, you need to snap out of it." Black Star said. I squinted at him.

"What?"

"Like you said, you'd never fallen for anyone before. I used to think it was because you were gay," (I scoffed) "But obviously you just didn't care about anyone."

"Wow, I feel touched. Thanks." I retorted sarcasm dripping in my voice.

"Seriously, listen man. You didn't give two shits about the women you banged, so why now? Especially with someone like Maka. I like her. She's cool and all, but she's too fragile for your world. Your life. She's on one end of the spectrum, and you're on the other. Let her go."

I frowned. Black Star was a total dickhead, but sometimes he'd actually give good advice. Whenever he did, it was in your best interest to take it.

"I know dude, it's just...I don't know." I sighed and ran my hand through my hair, agitated.

We walked in silence for a bit before Black Star spoke again.

"Hey Soul."

"Hm?"

"Do you like her? Like, Jump-in-front-of-a-japanese-bullet-train-that's-going-a-bajillion-miles-per-hour, like?"

I narrowed my eyes. "Yes. I do, Star." I said boldly. He raised an eyebrow, then that grin that signified the return of dickhead Star appeared on his annoying looking face.

"Soul and Maka sittin' in a tree!" He began. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G MOTHAFUCKA!"His voice increased in volume until he was yelling at the top of his lungs.

"Star! Shut the fuck up!" I snarled, my cheeks feeling warm.

"Soul likes Maka! Soul likes Makaaaa!" He continued in his loud obnoxious sing-song voice.

"Shut up!" I yelled, forgetting about the dark formerly sleeping houses.

"You like her! You like her! You LIKE HER!"

"Dammit! Shut it you bitch! I DON'T LIKE HER! It's all a lie! I'm kidding!"

Black Star froze, then turned around to face me slowly, his expression unreadable. "You don't like her?"

"No, I-"

"THAT'S RIGHT MOTHERFUCKERS! SOUL LURRRVES MAKA ALBARN! HE LOVES HER! SOUL LOVES MAKA!" I was about to throttle him, until I noticed that one the houses had rose bushes as landscaping.

"SOUL LOVES MAKA! SOUL LOVES MAKA!" The rosebushes came closer as we continued walking.

"SOUL LOOOOOOOVVVVES MAKA! EATER AND ALBARN LOVE EACH OTHER!" The rosebushes were only moments away...

"AND HEEEEEEEEE WILL ALWAYS LOVE HERRRRRRRR!" Black Star screamed the Whitney Houston song, not noticing that those sexually, beautifully, gorgeous, red flowers were right next to him.

"SOUL LOVES-!" I shut him up by shoving his fat ass into the bush.

"FUCKING PENIS!" He yelled, as the thorns cut and slashed from every angle. I doubled over laughing.

"Re...venge...bitch!" I choked out in between laughing.

"Soul! Help your god!" Black Star ordered, fuming.

"Uh-uh. You deserve this for being such a little asshat." I said, wiping away the tears in my eyes.

Suddenly, the porch light, of the house with the rosebushes, flickered on.

"Uh-oh." I said. Black Star's eyes widened fearfully.

"Soul...help a guy out." He said. I hesitated, and considered leaving him.

Just then, the door creaked open, and two rottweilers came shooting from inside the pristine white house.

"Oh shit!" I grabbed hold of Black Star, all thoughts of abandonment gone, just like my shirt...and now part of my pants.

A rottweiler had latched onto my pants, and ripped them so that they were now shorts rather than jeans. Black Star screamed like a girl as the other creature ripped off the right arm sleeve from his shirt.

The dog tried to bite my face off, but I grabbed hold of it's top and bottom jaw, holding it at bay. The dog snapped a few times, almost taking of my beautiful nose, but finally I threw it to the side and stood up before it could tackle me again.

It stood up, and growled and snapped it's jaws at me, a throaty growl emitting from it. Suddenly, it sprang and I dodged. While it was in the air, I falcon-punched into the concrete sidewalk. It hit the ground with a crunch, and then a whimper. I was ready to attack again, but instead it ran began to the house's door with the other dog.

"Let's go man." I whispered, as the door flew open to reveal the most horrid sight I've ever seen.

It was a woman with some sort of green face make-up stuff on her face, arms, legs, and every other part of skin I saw was green. Her hair literally was standing straight up like a mohawk. She was in a ugly puke green robe, with matching bunny slippers.

It was like Satan had sex with a chupracabra, and they ended up with this creature of darkness and bunny slippers.

"Oh my god..." Black Star whispered. I whipped my head away from the horrible ugly thing, and began to run while dragging the mesmerized/mortified Black Star behind me.

"What...is it?" He whispered fearfully.

"Come on Star!" I snapped harshly.

"WHO THE SHIT HURT MR. CUDDLES?!" We both froze at the sound of it's voice. It's voice sounded like a teenage girl's. I turned around slowly.

"I SWEAR TO ALL THAT'S HOLY, I WILL FUCK. YOU. LITTLE. BITCHES. UP!" She screamed. We both stood there, afraid and unable to move.

That was the biggest mistake of our lives.

Suddenly, she looked into the darkness at Black Star and me. "YOU TWO! I WILL KILL YOU WITH EACH OTHER'S INTESTINES! GET YOUR FAT ASSES OVER HERE!" The girl screamed, then was running across the pristine green lawn.

"RUN BITCH, RUN!" I yelled, and took off like a rocket, Black Star directly on my heels.

"I WILL FIND YOU AND RAPE YOUR DEAD CORPSES YOU LITTLE FUCKERS! YOU BETTER RUN!" The girl screamed. Black Star and I didn't even look back. We just kept running until we were out of the neighborhood.

Finally, we ended up back at the door of my apartment. Opening the door, we both collapsed onto the ground.

"What the heck?" A voice said. Black Star groaned, and I barely got up the strength to look up at the person.

"What happened?" The voice asked, and the person leaned down into my range of vision.

Oh yea. I left Maka here.

"Erm...Later. I can't...really breathe...right now." I said in between breaths.

She huffed. "Fine. Well, I got hungry, so I made myself food. There's some for you two in the pot." she said, and went and sat on the lumpy couch with some book.

"I'm...going to...leave now..." Black Star muttered to me.

"Yea..." I replied, my face buried in the carpet.

The sound of movement prompted me to look over at Black Star, who was inch-worming his way across the carpet towards the still open front door.

Finally he made it outside, and Maka slammed the door behind him.

"Geez. He's so melodramatic..." She mumbled, and went back to the couch.

"Hey, can you help me up?" I asked. Maka groaned.

"Shut up. I'm reading." She replied. I sighed, and a large furry black thing appeared in front of me.

"Meow..." It said, and began purring. It was Blair, still in cat form. Shit.

"Move cat." I snapped. It meowed again, and sat on my head.

I sat up immediately, and went and sat next to Maka. "Screw you." I snapped at Blair.

"Don't say that to him!" Maka reprimanded, grabbing Blair and pulling her onto her lap. I rolled my eyes, and turned on the T.V.

The three of us sat there for about half an hour, until Maka closed her book.

"Well, I need to get home so, could you-?"

"Hell no." I interrupted. Maka narrowed her eyes. "Pardon me?" She held up her book. "Do you need incentive? You lazy little-"

"No! I was just thinking..." I paused. "Well, I remember how you mentioned that your father was kind of a man whore and had woman over every night?"

Maka nodded hesitantly. "Yea...What about it?"

"Um...wouldyouwannahangoutoveratmyhouseuntilyourdadstopsbeingadick?" I quickly said.

Maka started laughing. I blinked.

Was there something about that question?

"Um..." I started hesitantly. "What-?"

"All I heard from that was, 'Would you wanna bang over my mouse until my dad stops being a stick?' "She grinned and wiped tears from her eyes, while I glared at the ground.

Damn, why the hell am I so nervous?

Maybe because you're inviting a girl to stay over at your house, and not just to fuck, but to actually stay as a friend-

Oh yea. That's why.

"Ok," Maka said, her laughter subsiding. "What did you say? And enunciate, enunciate, enunciate." She smiling kindly at me.

"Um...so uh, would you like to hang out at my place until your dad stops being a-?" I stopped at the look on her face. She was slack jawed, and was completely silent.

"So...Yes? No? Possibly?" I asked impatiently. Maka shut her mouth, and sighed.

"Uh, that's nice, but I really don't want to intrude on-"

"You won't be intruding at all! Don't worry! Seriously, it's okay. Just..." I ran a hand through my hair. "Just stay here until your dad pulls his shit together, alright?"

Maka bit her lip. Setting her book on the floor, she stood up.

"I need clothes to sleep in. And a room." She said, hands on her hips.

I nodded. "Done and done. I'll get you the clothes, and you know where my room is already."

She rolled her eyes. "A separate room, Soul."

I smirked. "Why would you need a separate room when you know I'll just take you to my room? And we'd be alone together so we could-"

"Shut your cake-hole." Maka muttered letting her golden hair cover her now pink face.

"Spare room's at the end of the hallway." I grinned as she hurriedly went to the spare room. I leaned back on the couch, watching the TV.

Ironically, the movie 'The Notebook' was playing. Huh. Why the hell was I watching a romance movie?

"Soul?" Maka's voice came from my left.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"This is- I mean- We're not...anything. We're just two friends hanging out. I'm just a friend, spending the night at my other friend's house. This means nothing." She stated.

I turned to look at her. "Of course. Whatever you say Maka." I said smiling.

She huffed in annoyance. "Night, Soul." She said raising her hand behind in some sort of wave, as she walked back down the hall.

"Good night!" I called to her retreating figure. As the door closed, I turned back to the TV.

After sitting there for a while, I looked at the clock (12:23) and decided that I should go to sleep. I stood up, turned off the TV, and started walking to my room.

Suddenly, my foot bumped against something small. It was Maka's book.

Picking it up, I happened to notice a word that caught my attention.

'Heart'

I opened the book to the page, and began to read the paragraphs.

'I'm amazed when I look at you. Not just because of your looks, but because of the fact that everything that I've ever wanted is right in front of me. You were my everything, my all, but you were out of my reach. You were my friend, we were close, but you'd never been farther away than now. I had fallen in love with you, yet you didn't even notice. How could you when I hide how I felt? I loved you, but did you love me too?

That was the answer that I waited for, the simple sentence of 'I love you.' I'll wait forever just to have you. I'd move the world for you, if only I were strong. I'd fight against the world for you, if only I wasn't afraid. You were the one who made me strong. You were the one who made me brave.

If only I could find the courage to say those three words...those three words that would change everything.

...

...

I love you.

Swallowing, I closed the book. That was the end of the book. Was Maka reading that? It sounded like a out cry from some stupid love-sick girl. It's retarded. It's...

It describes me. It describes how I feel for Maka.

I wonder...Is it just a coincidence that she was reading that page? Or did it mean something? Either way, this was a reminder that I needed to stop being a little bitch, man up, and tell Maka about how I feel.

Goddamn, why the hell am I sounding like a girl? This is really messed up...

Whatever I was going to do, I'd have to do it tomorrow because I was tired as hell. And I was definitely too tired to function normally.

I got to my room, and fell onto the bed fully clothed. I'd figure all of this out tomorrow.

Well. Hi. Long time, no see huh? But that's my fault, not yours. Anyways...

Part of the way through this chapter I kinda lost the drive to finish it. So yea. I'm a slacker. DEAL WITH IT BRUH.

*Ahem* Well until next time, see ya later! :)
