"Mummy, can we go ice skating today?" Amelia asked running in to my room.
"Baby girl please, can we just wait until after Julie has been to check over the boys and also Daddy's at work so unless we can find someone to watch the boys we can't go" I explained.
"But Mummy you promised we would go ice skating in the holidays" Amelia wined.
"Yes but before the holidays I wasn't expecting the boys to come early" I said and let a big yawn.
"It's not fair the boys have ruined everything and you promised me nothing would change when they got here" Amelia shouted and stormed off. I just felt like screaming but It wasn't going to help I remember promising her that we were sat in our den as the nursery was closed and she asked about when the boys where born if we could still do things just me and her but it just feels like I have not time to do anything now, I'm not surprised she seems to hate me, I just want my baby girl back she grew up quickly when the boys were born she was so helpful but it's not fair she's only 4 we should be able to go out and have a great time just running about and enjoying herself. Why is it like this why can't I just spend time with all 3 of my babies. It wasn't long before I could feel the tears slipping down my face.
(Sarah's POV)
I have spent a lot of time with Jack at the moment and I know Sam doesn't mind but I am going to go down and see her as I miss spending time with Sam! It took around 25 minutes in the weather to get to Sam's from Jack's as it is still snowing but not as much as yesterday.
I unlocked the door and went in as I guessed at this time she would be feeding the boys. I walked down towards the living room as I wanted to surprise her but instead I was surprised at what I saw, Amelia curled up in a ball crying her eye's out.
"Millie, what's wrong sweetie" I asked going and sitting by her.
"Mummy and Daddy don't love me anymore they only love Oliver and William" Amelia said looking up at me.
"Amelia Rose that is not true your Mummy and Daddy love you loads and the boys they love all three of you. Why would you say that?" I asked whipping away some of her tears.
"Because Mummy only ever spends time with the boys and Daddy's never here anymore" She explained.
"Oh sweetie that's because the boys are only young and they need Mummy to do things for them as they can't do it themselves and Daddy is working lots more as Mummy needs to look after the boys she will always be there for you, nothing's changed" I told her.
"It has she promised me it would all be the same but it's not she won't even take me ice skating and she promised she would but now we can't because of the boys" Amelia Sighed.
"How about me and Uncle Jack watch the boys this afternoon and when Daddy's finished work you and Mummy can go and get him and go ice skating" I suggested.
"Really? But I don't think Mummy will want to because I shouted at her" Amelia said as the smile left her face again.
"Oh Millie Mummy will forgive you just go upstairs and give her a cuddle, and tell her Auntie Sarah's down stairs and I want to talk to her" I said giving her a cuddle and she nodded before heading upstairs.
I wasn't left to my thoughts for very long as there was a knock at the door so knowing that Sam was with Amelia I went to open it.
"Sam don't worry I'll get it" I called up so she didn't come running down.
"Morning Sam sorry I'm late the ice was terrible on the road I didn't think they would be as bad as they are…. Wait you're not Sam?" A lady with loads of bags said.
"Nope, I'm Sarah. Sam's best friend" I smiled.
"I'm Julie, Sam's health visitor. Is Sam about?" Julie asked.
"Yes, she is upstairs. You can go wait in the living room I will go get her and the boys" I explained letting Julie in.
"Thank you, there's no rush Sam is my only one today I cancelled everyone else because of the weather but Sam is my only premature case so I really need to follow up and make sure the boys are fine" Julie explained walking towards the living room. "By the way where is the living room?" She added.
"Second door on the right" I smiled and headed upstairs.
"Sam, Julie is here" I said walking into her room to find her cuddled up with Amelia.
"Hey Sarah, thanks for talking to her I had no idea how upset she was and do you mind taking one of the boys down? I'll get dressed and take the other." Sam said.
"Amelia you run off down stairs and keep the Health visitor company" I said and she did so.
"Thanks Sarah I mean it" Sam said getting up and putting on a tracksuit.
"Don't mention it, I'll go get William as Oliver won't be happy if he wakes up and Mummy isn't there" I said and Sam Laughed.
I went and got William and he stirred but didn't wake I then gently carried him downstairs and herd Amelia joking with Julie.
"Sam will be down in a minute she's just getting dressed as the boys slept in today" I explained.
"No that's fine like I said I can wait and the boys are allowed it is technically there due day today" Julie smiled.
"Hey Julie sorry, had a bit of a lie in there, hope you don't mind" Sam said coming in bouncing a gurgling Oliver on her hip.
"It's fine Sam, its only you on the books today for me so you have all the time in the world today should we start with Oliver then as he's up" Julie suggested.
"That's fine with me he just wants his mummy and I'm surprised that William's not up and asking for his breakfast" Sam laughed.
"He will be soon, he's stirring" I smiled.
"Well Mr Oliver Kent, how about we get this started" Julie said as Sam passed him over to her and she carried out all the checks and while she was filling out his book William woke up.
"Well Oliver is still progressing above average for being a month premature" Julie smiled and passed him back to Sam and taking a very grumpy and hungry William off of me and carried out the same checks.
"He's definitely a very healthy weight as well as being above average as well" Julie smiled and handed him over to Sam so she could feed him with a waiting bottle and I picked up Oliver out of the bouncer and let Amelia feed him.
"Well both boys are absolutely prefect and I am happy to leave it another 2 weeks until next time we meet so how about the 24th Jan at 11? Will it be here or the hospital?" Julie asked while filling out the last details in William's book.
"Sounds good to me and here will be fine if it's alright with you" Sam smiled and Julie nodded.
"Right Kent 1 and Kent 2 and Amelia I enjoyed your jokes and I will see you in 2 weeks will you be here Amelia?" Julie asked.
"Mummy? Will I?" Amelia asked.
"You will be at nursery sorry baby girl" Sam explained and Amelia didn't seem that bothered.
"Well I will be back to see you in 2 weeks" Julie smiled picking up her bags.
"See you then, Drive safely" Sam said as she walked Julie to the door and then re-entered the room.
"How about we watch some TV before you go and get Daddy and I take the boys so you can go Ice skating" I suggested. Sam looked a little confused but then just smiled and turned on the TV before we all sat down and snuggled up under a blanket with the two boys Oliver with Sam and William with me and Amelia in the middle.
