-Carol-

Carol ran after Daryl as fast as she could. She was still shaken up from getting attacked by Josh and wished for Daryls company but he apparently had other plans... He looked as if he was ready to kill and as much as Carol liked that he was so protective when it came to her but it was also scaring her. she had never seen this side of Daryl before well she doesn't remember if she did... And as hot as he looked at that moment she had a feeling deep down she didn't want to remember him ever having that look in his eyes.

As she ran she thought back to Josh. He was really sweet to her at first when she had first awoken without any memory of who she grew to be or the others around her but she had grown to like him. She liked him a lot more than she would admit but it was not the same way she liked Daryl. She liked him as a best friend and she was very thankful he was so nice to her but he took it too far and carol was frightened.

When she finally caught up to Daryl she grabbed his shoulders causing him to tense up and jerk away. His eyes went from blood thirsty to vulnerable in seconds.

Carol frowned,"Daryl?" She called out, "Please just listen."

The tenseness Daryl was feeling left him as soon as he found out it was Carol that grabbed him and he slightly nodded at her keeping his eyes on her wrists. She could tell he was getting angered just looking at her bruised wrists.

"Please" she repeated, "Don't do anything you'll regret."

"Wont regret a thing" Daryl snapped, "that asshole thinks he put his hands on who ever he wants?" Daryl lifted her wrists close to her face, " He cant go round thinkin this is right ta do ta anyone. But especially you. Who the fuck does he think he is?"

She pulled her wrists away and looked him in the eye, "Don't kill him"

"Why the fuck shouldn't I?" Daryl growled getting frustrated.

"Because... Thats not who we are, thats not who you are. Lets get the rest of the council in on it... See what they think the proper punishment is."

"Carol" Daryl growled again, "So your letting this guy off the hook? What if he does it again? This guy'll do worse than hit ya if you give him a chance..."

Carol frowned at him, "so what your going to beat a man to death?" She didnt like this side of Daryl. Why was he out for blood?, "I think Josh gets i'm not interested in him... I made

It pretty clear. If he comes near me again I have you!"

-Daryl-

Daryl knew he was going to cave. Carol was too nice to everyone. She wont take your bull shit but will forgive anyone no matter what they do. He was about to nod in agreement when speak of the devil, he saw josh making his way down the hallway. Something in Daryl snapped causing him to rage. He left Carol where she was. He left her screaming for him to comeback but he couldnt hear her because his mind was only on josh and how many times he should get punched until he learned his lesson.

"Hey Dary-" Josh managed to say before Daryl had him against the wall.

"The fuck is wrong with you?" He almost whispered to josh.

"Man let me go!" Josh yelled, "What is wrong with you?"

"What is wrong with me? What the fuck is wrong with you? Stay the fuck away from Carol" He said tightening his grip. Right away when he looked at Josh he noticed the red hand print across his face. He smirked, "You better fuckin watch ya back. If i catch ya botherin or hurtin anyone and I fuckin mean anyone in tha prison you will get more than a smack to the face."

He threw Josh to the ground causing him to whimper in pain before turning to a speechless Carol. He walked up to her so they were very close, "I didn't kill him did I?" He said before heading into the dining area to call for a council meeting.

-Carol-

Carol didn't even glance back at Josh as she followed Daryl to wherever he was trying to go. She was proud that he didn't kill Josh like he said he was going to do. That by itself was proof of Daryl's change. Sure Josh really deserved whatever punishment Daryl had planned but Daryl fought against it listening to what Carol had said.

Was it a good idea letting him go?

The rest of the council was busy talking over the issue and Carol decided to go out and get some air. She knew being by herself wasn't the best idea but decided she could call to whoever was on watch if it really gotten down to that. For the first few minutes of getting some air she felt nervous in case Josh really did show up but after the minutes ticked by and nothing happened she became less tense and started to relax. She thought about Daryl's reaction to the whole situation and blushed. The way he got angry over the fact that he saw her and Josh kissing even though Carol did not kiss Josh back like Daryl probably had thought she did made Carol smile. He was jealous and she knew it. Maybe there was a chance between them, Carol thought as she stood outside. It was fall now, the weather getting colder and the leaves changing colour. Fall was Carol's favourite season because of the way the leaves changed and the cool breezes were very nice and distracting from what the world has gone to. She got spooked when someone touched her shoulder.

Carol jumped at contact and the mystery person removed their hand right away.

"Jeez. Didn't mean ta scare the shit outta ya" Daryl chuckled.

Carol felt relieved that it was Daryl who was with her instead of anyone else and to be honest she was kind of hoping he would come and join her outside during the beautiful day.

"Its okay... Just a little jumpy is all. So whats going on in there? Everything okay?"

Daryl shrugged, "They talkin bout it... thinking of askin Rick if he has any idea on what ta do..."

Carol nodded in understanding, "Tyreese and the others didn't come back yet..." The council sent Tyreese, Dave, and some other volunteers to try and locate Josh and his where abouts to keep an eye on him but they haven't returned from their search around the prison just yet, worrying Carol a little bit.

"They will find the bastard. If not I will go lookin myself. Ain't too many spots to hind in the prison..."

"I hope they find him" Carol said. She paused a moment thinking carefully about what to say, "So... You saw him kiss me?"

Daryl looked shocked but quickly covered up his emotions, "... I wanted to talk ta ya but I guess he got their before I did and well..."

"Well to set the record straight I pushed him away immediately after... I told him I loved someone else" She smirked,"What did you want to talk to me about?"

-Daryl-

Great. This was great, she loves someone else. That was all Daryl could focus on and it was all he ended up getting out of their conversation.

He stammered looking confused before suddenly making up his mind, "Uh... Nothin important..." He turned around and left. Not even hunting could mend the pain he felt right now not this time.
