Emily POV

I don't know what I'm doing right now . I drive from Rosewood to Philadelphia and now standing alone in Paige's apartment . It's empty and quiet . Just like my heart , empty and quiet . I climb and crawl out from the window .

I inhales the night air and enjoy the view from the rooftop .

Flashback ...

"Do you love the view from the rooftop ?"

"I can see my future with you , our future . Just fine and clear from here ."

"I want you to have my apartment key ."

I sigh . Those memories ... It seems like yesterday . I play with the ring on my finger . The ring that Paige gave me . Emily McFields . I take it off but then I put it on back . I stares at the dark sky and watch the stars .

I'm too busy looking at the stars to realize someone push the rooftop door .

"Emily ." The familiar voice calls me . I turn around and saw Paige look at me , worried .

"I'm sorry , I know that this is your place . I'm just about to leave ." I apoogize and ready to leave .

"This is our place . Don't leave ." Paige says .

"Used to be our place ..." I shook my head . Paige look at me , begging .

"Your key ..." I put the key in her palm . I slowly take off the ring and give it to her .

"No ." Paige reply .

"Please , take it back ." I says .

"You really want to leave me ? Break up with me ?" Paige asks . Her voice breaks .

"You leave me no choice ." I reply . Paige shook her head and clear her throat .

"You keep it . It's my gift for you . I can't take it back ." Paige says .

"No , I can't keep it . I don't want to break up with you . I'm trying so hard here . Please , stop torturing me . I can't move on everytime I see this ring . So .. just take it back ." I reply .

"Why you want to leave me when your heart says don't leave me ?"

"Because this is the best for both of us , for my friends . You are no longer Paige that I used to know ."

"Look deep inside my eyes , I'm still here . I just need you to understand me . I'm .. " Paige stops .

"You were my first . I want you to be my last ." Paige says . I put the ring in her palm .

"I want a clean break for us ." I says . Paige look at me , begging .

"Please don't hurt my friends . If you hurt them , I might need to tell them the truth about you ." I added and ready to leave before Paige slowly take my hand .

"I .. I'm d - d - do .." Paige stutter .

"You take care of yourself ." I whisper in her ear and kiss her cheek before I leave .

Paige POV

Her cold lips touched my cheek . For a few seconds I feel her warm breath against my cheek . And then I realize how much I miss this feeling . I open my mouth to say something .

"I'm doing this for you ." I says but it's too late . Emily already left . I sigh and stares at the ring in my palm . My tears fall on the ring .

Paige POV

A few hours later

I lean against my car and drink from the flask . The alcohol in my system makes me see stars . I look at the tree in front of me . One and then it turn into two trees .

Three ? Oh , no . It's four . I raise my eyebrows .

"Five trees ? Hah !" I says and then laugh . "I'm in a forest . Bears . A lot of bears . They gonna eat me !" I shouts .

A few people around there just look at me . I drink again from the flask before I feel a hand pull my flask away from me .

"Hey , gimme back ." I says , slurred and try to get my flask .

"You're drunk ." Shana says and I quickly steal my flask from her hand .

"So what .. Hey , you are that new girl on our swim team right ?" I look at Shana . I look around and scream , pointing my finger to the light pole in front of me .

"Oh my god , is that Coach Fulton ? I am so dead right now . She can't see me like this . I'm the captain of Rosewood Shark . I'm the hope of the team . I'm the ... the hope . The whole team believe in me ." I rambling and point my finger to the light pole .

"Paige , you're drunk . There is no coach . It's just a pole ... Light pole ." Shana catch me when I'm almost stumble .

"I want to go home . Emily is waiting for me ." I mumble and get in the car . Shana open my door and take my key away .

"What the hell ?!" I says , pissed off .

"You can't drive . It's not safe for you and for other people . Move over ." Shana says . I nodded my head and follow her order . I move to the passenger seat . Meanwhile , Shana take over the driver seat .

"Now , where do you live ?" Shana asks me .

"I .. I think my house is on the moon ." . "Wait . I can't remember . It's funny ." I laugh hysterically . Shana just look at me until I stop laughing .

"I guess you're staying with me in Philly tonight ." Shana says .

"Ha , ha , ha ." I try to catch my breath . "You study at Rosewood High but your house is in Philly . Funny . Ha , ha , ha ." I laugh again .

"Is it so funny ? My family is still looking for a house in Rosewood . What are you doing here in Philly ? It's already late ." Shana glance at her watch . 12 midnight .

"I broke up with my Emily today ." I drink again from my flask . I don't know why but I told Shana . She look at me .

"I'm so sorry to hear that ." Shana hold my left hand .

"Okay ." I reply and look at her .

I don't know if it's because of the alcohol in my body . It happens too fast . The next thing I know , I already kiss Shana . I kiss a girl who is not Emily .

Shana stares at me , shocked . But then she kiss me back . My lips press against her lips . I moan in the kiss .

I'm lost . I'm so lost .
