Chapter 35
Scooby's POV
"Ro ray, rou ran't rake re ro rinto rhe rorest," I said.
"But Scoob, we have to go through the forest to reach the Beast's castle," James said. I knew that and I didn't want to go. I had been tricked into going to meeting a monster more than one time; I was not going to the castle.
"Does anyone have Scooby Snacks?" Samuel/ Chase asked. I wasn't quite sure what to call this man anymore. Belle and Mickey had a confused look on their face, since that food hadn't been invented yet.
"I wonder if Baby Alex could make some," Alyssa suggested to James.
"That isn't such a bad idea," James replied. Baby Alex smirked and made a truck full of Scooby Snacks appear. The driver looked confused, as he should.
"How much is the whole truck worth?" James asked.
"For all of the Scooby Snacks, two hundred dollars," the man said. James handed the man two hundred dollars and took the two hundred Scooby Snacks.
"Scoob, would you do for a Scooby Snack?" He asked.
"Ro ray," I replied.
"How about ten boxes of Scooby Snacks?" James asked.
"Real," I said. I tried to grab the boxes, but James pulled them back.
"There is a catch," James said.
"Rhat's rhe ratch?" I asked.
"You only get them after we reach the Beast's castle," James said.
"Rokay," I said. We went into the woods. They were called the Woods of Tricks.
"Not many people make it out of these woods," Mickey said.
"Yes, they are famed for people going missing, the most infamous of the missing people here was Prince Adam," Belle said.
"Wait; did you just say Prince Adam?" James asked.
"Yes, does that mean anything to you, Wayward?" Belle asked.
"What was his last name?" James asked.
"What a peculiar question, it was Knight," Belle said.
"Ro, re rare rin ra roods, rhere ra ran ravished, ra reast rives rot ro rar rom rand rew rurive," I said.
"Yes, that pretty sums it up," Mickey said.
"Rust reat," I replied.
"So, does anyone know a way out of the woods?" Samuel/Chase asked.
"It was told that the Wayward could find the way out," Belle said.
"Well, then James, I guess you should lead the way," Alyssa said.
"Rut Rames ras ro rense rof rirection," I said. I heard a rustling and a familiar cat appeared.
"Hello, lost ones," The Cheshire Cat said.
"Are you going to help us?" James asked.
"Yes, these woods are all about misdirection, what is right is wrong, what is wrong is right. Always go the opposite of your instincts. Pull a Daphne," The Cheshire Cat said.
"Ro, ro rhe rong ray," I said.
"No, find the monster. He will lead the way to the other monster and to the safety of the world. Also, be on the lookout for the three balances, one is already half here, the other is coming and the final is missing," The Cheshire Cat said.
"More riddles, it is always riddles," James said.
"It just takes us to work together," Belle said. We entered a fork in the road. I also spotted the TARDIS.
"It looks like our friends made it here," Samuel/Chase said. I heard a voice.
"Luna, this is the third time we walked into the TARDIS," Puggsy said.
"I hate to agree, Luna, but I believe we are lost," Shaun said.
"No, we just are walking in circles," Luna said.
"I think we should find James," Rift said.
"Yes, we should," Ally said.
"I was dragged back from the dead to be walked around in circles," Lamone said.
"Luna, I believe James is close," Laura said.
"Are you sure?" Leo asked.
"This is the fourth time she said that," Aaron said.
"I can't believe we landed in the Woods of Tricks," Time Lord muttered. I looked confused, did this mean he was on our side?
"Actually, it is the fifth, Aaron," Alexia said.
"I hope Mom is okay," Liz muttered.
"I think Aaron is getting better," Xion said.
"Or worse," Lucy muttered.
"I believe we are lost," Nessie said.
"What gave you that idea?" Kiff sarcastically asked.
"I hope we find them soon," Fangface said.
"So, we have yet to find him," Cassie muttered.
"It should happen soon," Twiggy muttered.
"I just hope they aren't as lost as us," Peter muttered.
"Me too," Steven Junior said.
"I doubt they are," Ezekiel said.
"I doubt it, they have James," Brielle said.
"I know my brother, they are probably lost," Daniel said.
"I have to agree," Alix said.
"This might be true," Joanna Rose said.
"Well, we haven't run into anything bad yet," Twiggy Rose said.
"Yet, is the key word," Lily Rose muttered.
"I am positive we can find them," Ryan Rose muttered.
"I hate to bring up a point, but they are more likely to find us," Anthony Thorn said.
"James must be close," James Knight said.
"I sense his aura, he is close," Death said.
"That is good," Night said.
"It is," Sidney and NovaStormThunder said, in unison.
"I agree," Dominick said.
"I second that notation," Original Twiggy and Matt Hunter said.
"Well, we still have to find him," Josie said.
"I have my hopes up," Alan said.
"So do I," Edmund said.
"I see the machine again," Valerie said.
"We walked in another circles," Alexander whined.
"It is quite disappointing," Will Hunter said.
"These heels are killing me," Alexandra said.
"When did your heels get weapons to kill you with?" Melody asked. Sebastian snickered as Bleep started to speak.
"Bleep," Bleep said.
"You see, James," Melody said.
"I see them too," Luna said. I smiled. The thirty one raced to us. James and Lucy shared a kiss.
"Guys, we have to find a way to rescue our friends," a woman with green skin said.
"So, you are Elphaba, Oz, Finley and Jared," James said.
"Yes, you must be the wayward," Oz said.
"Who else could it be?" Finley asked.
"So, you can help us?" Jared asked.
"I believe I can," James said. There was a kid staring at Samuel/Chase.
"You are Samuel Blake," Colton said.
"Yes, I am. I am sorry for leaving you," Samuel said.
"I understand," Colton said.
"It seems you all made it together, but there is a monster out at night. You might want to camp, dog," The Cheshire Cat said, directly to me.
"Ruys, re rhould ramp rour rhe right," I said.
"That isn't such a bad idea, Scoob," James said. We all set up tents, ones that were in Luna's backpack.
"Weren't you going to tell me what happened before we found you, son?" Anthony said.
"Actually, I believe I will," Twiggy Rose said. We all stopped to listen to Twiggy Rose's story.
I was scared of what I was. My mother had been hurt due to my five year old rage. I just couldn't stay anymore. I didn't want to hurt anyone else; I didn't want to kill anyone. I just wanted to be normal, to not hurt the people I love. I couldn't bear the thought of my monster half, the part of me that I couldn't control. The part of me that killed and would always, I left late at night. I entered the street and I started to sing.
Twiggy Rose: I am a monster,
Meant to hurt everything that I touch,
I don't belong anywhere,
Especially not here.
I am the monster lurking in the darkness,
The boy who doesn't deserve to live,
I don't belong anywhere,
Nowhere at all,
I will leave here,
For the longer I stay,
The more it hurts.
I say goodbye to this world,
Until I can control myself,
Until I learn control and restrain.
I entered the portal and wound up in New York City, the reality version of it anyway. I meet a man there. His name was Bruce Banner.
"You met the Hulk?" James asked.
"Yes, can I get back to the story?" Twiggy Rose asked.
"Sure," James said.
"Are you lost, kid?" Bruce Banner asked.
"No, just learning to control the monster within me," I answered.
"I know the feeling," Bruce Banner said.
"You have a monster in you?" I asked.
"Well, that is one way to put it. You just have to learn to control its urges with your own feelings," Bruce said.
"I don't think I can do it," I said.
"Yes, you can. I learn how to control my monster," I said.
"What is your name, Kid?" He asked.
"Matthew Ryan Rose is my name, even though my nickname is 'Twiggy'," I said.
"My name is Bruce Banner," he replied. He took me as his own child and over time I learned to control my monster. I left there a while later and wound up in Wonderland. I was captured by Samuel at the point, and the rest is history at this point.
"It feels like there is more to your story," James said.
"There is, but it is too long to tell. I have it in my journal," Twiggy Rose answered.
"So, dad, what brought you to this universe?" James asked his father.
"Well, I guess it is finally time to tell the truth," Samuel/Chase said.
I was five, when it happened. My parents died in a car accident.
"Rho rhere rour rarents?" I asked.
"They were the reality version of Fred Jones and Daphne Blake," Samuel/Chase replied.
"That explains everything," James said.
"It really does," Alexia said.
"May I continue?" Samuel/Chase replied.
"Sure," James replied, with a smile on his face. He looked quite glad.
I was sent to live with my aunt Velma at the time. She was killed during one of the murder cases, the gang was investigating. Shaggy and Scooby took me in, until Shaggy was shot by a thug. He died shortly after. It was just Scooby and I, for a while anyway. Then I find a kid.
"That was me," Colton said.
"Yes, it was," Samuel/Chase replied.
"So, he was a street orphan?" James asked.
"Yes, he was. He seemed to come from this world though; he must have stumbled across a portal. He didn't remember who his parents were, though," Samuel/Chase said.
"I remember giving birth, but the child went missing," Elphaba said.
"You are a mother?" Oz asked.
"It does seem to account for your motherly nature," Jared said.
"But, it has only been two years, and this child appears to be six years older than mine," Elphaba said.
"Time works differently in the universes," Twiggy Rose said.
"Yes, it does," Luna agreed.
"So, it could be quite possible that this is my child," Elphaba said.
"What was your child's name?" Cassie asked.
"It meant dark," Elphaba said.
"So, it was Cole," Samuel/Chase said.
"Yes, does that mean that you know him?" Elphaba asked.
"Yes, Cole is the name of the dark half of Colton," Samuel/Chase said.
"So, he is both good and evil?" James asked.
"That means he is similar to Lucky," Ally said.
"You have found one of them," The Cheshire Cat said.
"He is a balance?" Belle asked.
"A balance is one of night and day," The riddling cat replied.
"What did you mean that one of the balances was half here?" James asked.
"I meant what I said, and I said what I meant. He is closer than you think, Wayward," The Cheshire Cat said.
"May I continue with my story?" Samuel/Chase asked. Ryan interrupted him.
"Does anyone else hear that?" Ryan asked. I listened and heard a rustling.
"Ri ro," I replied.
"As do we," The rest of the werewolves replied.
"That must be the monster that the riddling cat was talking about," Belle asked. A man appeared out of the bushes. It was the man who saved us.
"This is the third time I couldn't find the Beast's castle," James Blake muttered. He spotted us.
"I thought you were looking for the Golden Warrior?" James Blake asked.
"We found him," Belle said.
"So, why are you in the Woods of Tricks?" James Blake asked.
"He led us here," James replied.
"So, it seems that everyone is looking for the Beast nowadays," James Blake muttered.
"I hear something," Twiggy said. A monster that resembled a cross between a zombie and a ghost came out.
"He wouldn't happen to be a friend of yours?" James asked.
"No, he is the monster of these woods. He was sent by the bad fairy to lead people away from the Beast," James Blake said.
"I believe it is time to split, guys," Alexander said.
"I have to agree with my coward of a brother," Alexandra said.
"Let's split then," James said. The monster was in hot pursuit of us.
"Rust rhow rant rend ry ray. Running rom ra rybreed ronster," I said.
"It is gaining on us," James Blake said.
"There is only one answer to stop this beast," Luna said.
"We have to trick it," Valerie said. Edmund smirked.
"I believe we all have an idea," Everyone said. We started to set up a fake restaurant, as the monster was behind us.
"Now, all we need is bait," Samuel/Chase said.
"Ro ray, ri is rot roing rit," I said.
"I guess you can't get your Scooby Snacks then," James said.
"Ronly rif rou ro," Scooby said.
"Fine, but Alexander, Fangface, Puggsy, Twiggy and Ryan help us," James said. He still had a revenge for being tricked into a dress a while ago.
"Fine, we will do it. At least, we don't have to wear some demoralizing costume," Ryan and Puggsy agreed.
"Actually, I do," James said.
"You twits, we were so close to getting away with this," Twiggy muttered.
"Well, we all know how much Puggsy likes to open his mouth," Nessie said.
"Hey, that is my dad," Kiff said.
"I know," Nessie said.
"I really hate you," Kiff muttered.
"I think we also need Kiff and Nessie," James said, while smiling.
"This might take a while," Brielle said.
"I hate to agree, but it probably will," Luna said. The eight of us left.

Ryan, Twiggy and Puggsy came out in one-piece bathing suits. Ryan was wearing a gray one-piece bathing suit and gray flip-flops. Twiggy was wearing a yellow one-piece bathing suit and yellow flip-flops. Puggsy was wearing a pink one-piece bathing suit. I couldn't help but laugh at the misfortune of the others in disguise.
"Re ron't rave ra risguise?" I asked.
"I wouldn't say that," James said. Kiff and Nessie were wearing respective girl/boy scout's outfit.
"Rokay, ri rives rup. Rhat rare re roing ras?" I asked.
"The troop leader and his dog," James answered with a smile. He put on a troop leader outfit.
"So, what is the cause we are supporting?" Nessie asked.
"The charity of men confused on how to dress like men at beaches," James replied.
"What am I?" Fangface and Alexander asked.
"My head in command of the two units," James said. We finally met the monster.
"Why hello, mister monster. I am troop leader of the disputing troop. Would you like to support our cause?"
The monster shrugged, but growled.
"Rhere ris reed ro row," I said.
"Yes, my faithful talking dog is right," James said. I watched as Jason appeared behind James. Looks like his guardian angel was still here and he seemed to have a girl with him.
"I believe it is rude to growl to a troop leader," Jason said.
The monster, growled again.
"Yes, it is incredibly rude," the other girl, who looked like Alexia said.
"I have to agree with my girlfriend, Sarah," Jason said. The monster growled once more.
"Mister Monster, I heard of breath mint," Nessie said.
"Yes, you smell worse than her," Kiff said.
"I agree with my fellow scout," Nessie said. Twiggy the Pokémon appeared.
"I believe you owe my master an apology," Twiggy said. The monster looked confused, as he should be.
"We just want to gain money for our men who dress like women at the beach reform school. Ryan, Puggsy ad Twiggy appeared, showing off their swim wear.
"That is horrible," The monster said.
"Yes, it is quite tragic. Will you donate money to us?" James asked.
"Sure, anything for this cause," The monster said, handing money and leaving.
"Wow, I can't believe that worked," Jason muttered. The monster came charging back.
"I believe you spoke too soon," Sarah said.
"Time for plan B," James said, as we ran away. The monster arrived at the restaurant. We handed him a menu.
"What would you like, sir?" James asked.
"Give me a minute, do you have any recommendations?" The monster asked.
"Why, the dynamite cake surprise is quite explosive, in taste of course," James said.
"I will take one of those," the monster said.
"What would you like to drink?" James asked.
"What did you have?" The monster asked.
"We have water, sprite, Gum coke surprise, that one is quite sticky," James said.
"I want a gum coke surprise," the monster said.
"Oh, what a wonderful choice," James said, as he brought the monster the two foods. The monster tried the food first and it blew up in his face. He took a sip of the coke and was stuck to his seat. He escaped and we ran away.
"Does anyone know where we are?" Belle asked.
"I believe that is the Beast's castle," James Blake said.
"We can finally free my father," Belle said.
"I can find my brother," Mickey said.
"I can help Frank Knight and save his love," James Blake said, as the rest of them rushed into the castle, leaving us behind.
"This is bad, it is almost happening," Time Lord muttered.
"What is?" James asked.
"The universe separating, it is going to happen right here and it should be happening in ten hours or so," Time Lord said.
"That means we have little time to fix the timeline," James said.
"It is more than that. The mob is coming soon," Time Lord said.
"Led by Gaston," Samuel/Chase said.
"Exactly," Time Lord said. We entered the castle and saw a man.
"Who are you and why do you enter my castle?" The man asked.
"I am the Wayward of Light," James said.
"Who are you?" Luna asked.
"I am Adam, I am known more famously as the Beast when I am angry," Adam replied.
"Is there anything else unique about you?" Shaun asked.
"I can travel through time; I am damned to this castle though. I am the Prince of this land," Adam said.
"We have to find Frank Knight and save the world," James said.
"So, you are looking for my brother?" Adam asked.
"Yes, we are," Lucy said.
"Why should I let you stay in my castle?" Adam asked.
"We need a place to be safe, also this is where the universe will be separated," Shaun said. Adam grabbed Shaun.
"How did you know that?" He asked.
"I'm the Doctor," Shaun said.
"Oh, so you are all time travelers from the future, all the more reason for not letting you staying here," Adam said.
"That isn't a reason at all, I don't see why you can't let us stay here," Aaron said.
"You are messing with the timeline, just by being here. Though, the girl would have never found her father without you," Adam said, aloud.
"Rhat ris rue. Re ralso rave rone rothing rong," I said.
"True, you have not done anything to lead people to me. But if I don't find love soon, I will die. It was the evil fairy's castle, but who could love a man like me?" Adam asked.
"Anyone can if you open your heart," Ryan said. I never knew Ryan could give good advice to anyone, but he just did.
"You may stay, but I have only one rule. Do not go the western wing. It holds my rose; I don't want anyone to see it. It shows what I really am," Adam said.
"That was strange," James muttered. I saw that everyone had gone to retire their rooms. I was left alone with the Beast. He wasn't so bad in the end.
"Dog, what do you want?" Adam asked.
"Rothing, rust rooking ror ra room," I said.
"Oh, so you are one of the toons. I will be retiring to my room in the eastern wing. You are free to search the rest of the castle," Adam said, as he left. I noticed that Belle seemed to be wondering.
"I see that your friends found rooms. My father said that he saw the man bring his horse to the western wing. He wants me to go and check on it," Belle said.
"Rut, re raren't rallowed rin rhat ring," I said.
"What could be so bad over there? I don't want to disappoint my father and he is worried," Belle said.
"Ri ruess rit rouldn't rurt. Re ran re rin rand rour rin ra rinute," I said. Belle smiled and we approached the western wing. We found the horse and it looked calm. We could leave and Adam would never know we were here.
"Well, I guess we can leave now," Belle said. I spotted a staircase and Belle also noticed it.
"Ri ron't re rould ro rup rhere," I muttered.
"I wonder what is up here," Belle said, as she climbed up the staircase. We entered a room. There seemed to be broken shards of glass and rose petals.
"Rhis ris reepy," I said.
"Wow that is such a beautiful rose. I wonder what it is doing in that casing," Belle said. I quickly realized that it must have been the rose that the bad fairy had cursed. I barked. Belle stopped for a second and looked at me.
"Ro," I said.
"Is there something wrong, Scooby?" Belle asked. I shook my head and pointed to the rose. I hoped she understood what I meant, as I meant that we should not touch it. I heard footsteps.
"What are you two doing here?" Adam asked.
"I was just looking at the beautiful rose," Belle said.
"No one is allowed here and especially not to admire that abomination," Adam said.
"What makes this rose so dangerous?" Belle asked.
"This is the rose that made me have to stay in this castle. It is the rose that summoned that horrible monster. It is the pain of my existence," Adam said.
"How could a beautiful flower do such horrible things?" Belle asked. Adam sighed. He started to sing.
Adam: This rose is what bounds to these walls.
It is what has made me so lonely all these years.
It is all because I broke up with a fairy.
She put a curse on this castle and me.
This room is my thorn.
My beast.
"So, what is the way to break this rose's curse?" Belle asked.
"I have to find true love, I have to learn what it means to love another," Adam said.
"Why haven't you learned this?" Belle asked.
"Well, the rose has made my heart so bitter. I don't let anyone in anymore. It always end with them leaving me, they leave me for someone else. Who could ever love a man whose only love is books and his castle? Who can love a man like me?" Adam asked.
"It helped if you removed your hood," Belle said. Adam did so. He stood at about six feet tall; he was wearing a blue shirt and pants... He had brown hair, green eyes and a brown beard.
"You are quite handsome," Belle said.
"I am not. I am ashamed of my face," Adam said.
"Don't be afraid of who you are. Everyone is different and that is what makes you better as a person," Belle said.
"Thanks," Adam said. I heard a shout from downstairs.
"Lexie must be entering her final leg of her disease," Adam said.
"Save the girl!" A very familiar voice said.
"A mob is outside," Belle said.
"Who is leading it?" Adam asked.
"Gaston," Belle said. It looked like we had to defeat a mob before we could save the girl. I rushed downstairs to go and find my friends.
"Kill the kidnapper!" Gaston said.
"Gaston is never wrong," The mob said.
"Scoob, I believe it is time to fight a mob," James said, as he drew his sword.
"I am going to make that jerk pay," James said, with conviction in his voice.
AN: Next chapter will be a fight with the mob and Gaston! Also, the universe separation is coming up! This chapter's song was 'I'm a monster' and 'my beast'. Also, Adam is my own take on the beast.
