"Showdown! Grimlock vs. Galvatron"
Show recap of previous episode, and then:
ACT ONE
Fade in.
EXT. - EST. - BEACH. NIGHT.
Rampage - in his tank mode - rolls up onto the beach. He FIRES a missile at two fishermen.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Waspinator - Beast Form - flies overhead. He drops Blackarachnia, who starts firing with her machine guns.
Cut to:
EXT. - JULIA'S HOUSE. NIGHT.
Julia and the Maximals watch as the Predacons fly by overhead.
JULIA
Those monsters are back!
RHINOX
Scrap.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Victoria and Grimlock come running down the beach towards them. They stop just in front of the house.
VICTORIA
Come on, you guys! We've got to stop them before they reach the town, otherwise a lot of people are going to get hurt.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Right. Let's hit it, bots!
He and the other Maximals transform into their Beast Forms and head down the beach towards the town.
On: Grimlock.
He starts to follow, but stops. He looks out over the sea and spots Galvatron.
GRIMLOCK
(deep growl)
Galvatron.
Cut to:
EXT. - TOWN STREET. NIGHT.
Several townspeople are running, trying to escape the Predacon onslaught. Some townspeople are trying to fight back with rifles and garden tools like hoes, rakes, and pitchforks.
Waspinator - Beast Form - DIVES towards the ground and TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form -
Only to be dog-piled by a group of people with hoes and axes.
WASPINATOR
No! No! Stop, Fleshy-Bots, stop!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Rampage - still in his tank mode - fires at a group of people.
RAMPAGE
Flee if you can, humans.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Rattrap comes speeding down the street in his Vehicle Form. As he nears Rampage, he TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and leaps on top of Rampage.
RATTRAP
I don't think so, Crab Cake!
He grabs Rampage's turret and turns it away, just as he fires. Rampage TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and THROWS Rattrap off. Rattrap SLAMS into the side of a nearby building and SMASHES through the wall.
RATTRAP
Ouch.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Rhinox - Beast Form - comes CHARGING at Rampage. He TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form, his chain guns ready, and he starts FIRING. The bullets tear into Rampage.
Rattrap comes charging at Rampage from the other side. He slides past Rampage, shooting him in the face, as Dinobot - Beast Form - LEAPS over Rampage's head, TRANSFORMING into his Robot Form as he does, and he delivers a hard KICK to Rampage's head, knocking him down.
IN THE SKY -
Inferno - Robot Form - is hovering above the town. He lets loose a stream of fire from his flamethrower.
INFERNO
(insane laughter)
Burn! Burn, all of you!
OPTIMUS PRIMAL (O. S.)
(whistles)
Inferno turns around, only to get SMACKED by Optimus's outstretched mace. The impact knocks him out, and he falls to the ground.
OVER TO: GALVATRON - BEAST FORM.
He's on the outskirts of the town, holding Shawna in one of his hands. They're watching as fires burn in the town. The sounds of the fighting can be heard even from here.
GALVATRON
Take a good look, my little one. Watch as that pathetic little hamlet burns to the ground and each and ever human with it. You can think of this as punishment for the poor way they treated you, yess.
SHAWNA
But - but this isn't what I want.
GALVATRON
But it is the justice they so rightfully deserve. But stay with me and I will spare your mother's life, yess.
SHAWNA
I - I don't believe you. You're going to kill my mother, just like you're going to kill everyone else!
JULIA (O. S.)
Shawna!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Julia comes running up to them. She stops in front of Galvatron.
SHAWNA
Mommy!
GALVATRON
Oh. You.
JULIA
Please, Galvatron, give me back my daughter.
GALVATRON
She's really that important to you, isn't she?
JULIA
More than you know.
GALVATRON
Then prove it. Show me how important.
SHAWNA
Mommy, you don't have to do this.
For a few seconds, Julia doesn't move. But then she gets down on her hands and knees.
JULIA
Please. I'm begging.
GALVATRON
You really do care for her, enough to drop to your hands and knees in the cold snow and plea with me, yess. In that case, the answer is no.
Julia climbs to her feet.
JULIA
You - you're a monster!
GALVATRON
I've been called worse.
He opens his mouth, which starts to glow as he prepares a stream of fire.
Suddenly -
Grimlock - Beast Form - BLINDSIDES Galvatron. The force of Grimlock's attack causes him to drop Shawna.
JULIA
Shawna!
She catches Shawna just before she hits the ground. Julia holds Shawna close.
JULIA
Thank heavens you're safe.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Grimlock has Galvatron by the neck and has him pinned to the ground. Galvatron tries to get free of Grimlock's powerful jaws.
GALVATRON
Release me, you dull creature!
Back on: Shawna and Julia.
They slowly back away from the fight.
JULIA
Come on, Shawna. Let's get out of here.
Back to: Grimlock and Galvatron.
Galvatron finally manages to wrench himself free of Grimlock's grip, but not without injury - his neck is sliced open and dripping with blood.
Galvatron snaps at Grimlock, who's just out of reach.
GRIMLOCK
RRRAAARRRGGGHHH
He CHARGES at Galvatron, slamming his head into Galvatron's chest and knocking him to the ground.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Galvatron climbs to his feet and takes to the air.
GRIMLOCK
No you don't!
He rears up and BITES into Galvatron's tail, dragging him back to the ground.
GALVATRON
Why you - Galvatron, Terrorize!
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock, Maximize!
Galvatron, Grimlock - TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCES.
They both TRANSFORM and CHARGE at each other. They grapple and push against each other, trying to get the upper hand.
GALVATRON
You may try to stop us, Maximal, but even you must know that these humans cannot be allowed to live, noo.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock think Dragon wrong.
GALVATRON
Then you will die with them!
He KICKS Grimlock back.
GALVATRON
Join them in extinction!
He raises his head-hand-blaster and FIRES. The blast hits Grimlock square in the chest, making him stagger backwards. Another blast throws Grimlock to the ground and knocks him unconscious.
GALVATRON
Rot, Maximal scum.
He returns to his Beast Form and flies away, leaving Grimlock's smoking body behind.
Fade out.
End Act One.
ACT TWO
Fade in.
EXT. - TOWN. NIGHT.
Several houses are on fire; other fires have started from the fighting.
Quickstrike and Bonecrusher - both in their Robot Forms - are shooting at several people as they run away.
QUICKSTRIKE
Yee-haw!
BONECRUSHER
Just like shootin' fish in a barrel.
OVER TO - BLACKARACHNIA - ROBOT FORM.
She fires at a group of people with her machine guns.
STINKBOMB (O. S.)
Witch!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Stinkbomb - Beast Form - charges at Blackarachnia.
STINKBOMB
Maximize!
Stinkbomb - TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE.
He TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and FIRES his blaster. The shot misses Blackarachnia by just a few inches.
BLACKARACHNIA
You always were a bad shot.
She opens fire with her machine guns. Stinkbomb barely has time to get behind cover.
STINKBOMB
(in German)
Slag!
CHEETOR
I've got her!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Cheetor goes FLYING past. Blackarachnia starts shooting at him, but every shot misses. Cheetor TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and HITS Blackarachnia with a flying kick. Blackarachnia staggers back a few feet.
CHEETOR
Come on, you witch.
BLACKARACHNIA
If you insist.
She CHARGES at Cheetor and before he can do anything, hits him with a series of swift kicks to the head, followed up by a hard uppercut to the chin.
STINKBOMB
Hey!
He FIRES a blast at Blackarachnia. The blast hits her square in the chest, knocking her back.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Stinkbomb helps Cheetor climb to his feet.
STINKBOMB
Are you okay, Cheetor?
CHEETOR
I'm fine. I forgot how hard that spider can hit.
BAM! An explosion hits nearby, throwing them both to the ground.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
It's Inferno; he's recovered from the hit he took earlier.
INFERNO
You're food for the colony, Maximals!
SILVERBOLT (O. S.)
I don't think so.
Silverbolt SWOOPS in in his Beast Form. He grabs Inferno by the shoulders with his talons and takes him up into the air. Inferno struggles to get free.
INFERNO
Let me go, traitor!
SILVERBOLT
As you wish, Predacon.
He lets Inferno go, and Inferno SLAMS into the side of a cliff, head first.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Julia and Shawna are running through the town, evading the fighting as they go. They flinch as one of Rampage's missiles impact a few meters away from them.
RAMPAGE
I won't miss next time!
A pair of lasers hit him from behind.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
It's Dinobot - Robot Form. He fires another set of laser eye beams at Rampage. They hit him in his chest, but he's unfazed - save for a burn mark on his chest. He looks down at the burn mark, then turns back to Dinobot.
RAMPAGE
You missed.
THWACK! An arrow hits him in the side of the neck. He reaches up and takes it out.
RAMPAGE
Seriously?
Victoria hurries over to Shawna and Julia; she puts herself between them and Rampage and readies another arrow.
DINOBOT
Get them out of here!
VICTORIA
You got it, Dinobot.
(to Shawna and Julia)
Stay close to me, you two.
SHAWNA
Mommy, I'm scared.
JULIA
It's going to be okay, Shawna.
BACK OVER TO - DINOBOT AND RAMPAGE.
Rampage TRANSFORMS into his Tank Mode and FIRES a missile at Dinobot. Dinobot fires his laser eye beams at the missile, intercepting it; the resulting explosion creates a cloud of smoke and dust.
Dinobot comes CHARGING through the cloud. He LEAPS at Rampage, and as he leaps, he TRANSFORMS into his Beast Form. He LANDS on top of Rampage and starts DIGGING his toe claws into him.
RAMPAGE
Get...
He TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form.
RAMPAGE
OFF!
He GRABS Dinobot's tail and THROWS him off his back. Dinobot TWISTS in mid-air and lands back on his feet.
DINOBOT
(hisses)
RAMPAGE
Come on, you lizard.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Victoria's leading Julia and Shawna through the small alleys between some houses. Small glimpses of the fighting can be seen - both between the Maximals and Predacons as well as the humans and the Predacons. Some houses have been completely destroyed, others are still on fire; some of the fires are just starting to die down.
VICTORIA
Stay close to me, you two. We'll be okay.
SHAWNA
No we won't. Look!
She points to the sky. Victoria and Julia both look up -
And see Galvatron - Beast Form - flying overhead!
VICTORIA
Oh scrap!
Galvatron looks down at them and lets loose a stream of flame, and we:
Fade out.
End Act Two.
ACT THREE
Fade in.
EXT. - TOWN. NIGHT.
Galvatron lets loose a stream of flame.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Victoria grabs Shawna and Julia and dives out of the way. The flame hits the ground, harmlessly missing them. Galvatron lets loose another stream of flame.
JULIA
Watch out!
She PUSHES Shawna out of the way, just as the flame hits the ground, separating them.
SHAWNA
Mommy!
JULIA
Shawna, run! The dragon's coming after you; RUN!
Shawna doesn't argue; she turns and starts running.
GALVATRON
You can't run from me, girl!
He starts flying after her.
VICTORIA
Oh, gosh.
She looks over and sees Rhinox - Beast Form - CHARGING at Bonecrusher - Robot Form. Rhinox SLAMS into Bonecrusher, sending him flying a few meters and through the wall of a nearby house.
VICTORIA
Rhinox!
RHINOX
What is it, squirt?
VICTORIA
Rhinox, we lost Shawna! Galvatron's after her; you gotta protect her!
RHINOX
Say no more, I'm on it!
He starts running, following Galvatron.
RHINOX
Optimus, the kid needs our help!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Shawna's running up the trail on the side of the cliff. Galvatron LATCHES onto the cliff face just behind her and SNAPS at her, missing her by only a few feet.
GALVATRON
Drat.
Optimus comes flying at him in his Flight Mode. As he gets closer, he readies one of his maces.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Galvatron!
He gets ready to swing his mace at Galvatron.
GALVATRON
Get away from me, Primal.
He SWATS Optimus away with a wing.
Back on: Shawna.
She's reached the top of the cliff. She stops as she reaches the edge. The ocean's at the bottom of the cliff.
SHAWNA
Uh-oh. Dead end.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Galvatron - still in his Beast Form - lands behind Shawna. Shawna takes a small step back.
GALVATRON
Where are you going to go, little one? Do you intend to jump, hmm?
DOWN BELOW:
Cheetor TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and takes aim at Galvatron.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Cheetor, no! You might hit Shawna.
CHEETOR
Slag.
BACK ON THE CLIFF:
Shawna takes another small step backwards; she barely manages to keep her balance, being so close to the edge of the cliff.
GALVATRON
Come back with me, my little one, and I will cease all hostilities against this town, and against your mother as well, yess.
SHAWNA
No! You're lying! Just like you lied to my mommy and her friend! I'm never going to believe another word you say! Never, ever!
GALVATRON
Very well. You shall share the same fate as every other human!
He lets loose a stream of fire at Shawna, causing her to back up some more -
Until she falls off the cliff!
JULIA
Shawna, no!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Grimlock - Robot Form - CATCHES Shawna as she falls.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock got you.
WIDE ANGLE.
Grimlock's holding onto the side of the cliff with his free hand. He holds Shawna close to his chest.
GRIMLOCK
Hold on; this might be bad!
He lets go of the cliff face and FALLS. As he falls, he takes aim at Galvatron and FIRES. The blast hits the cliff, causing it to crumble and making Galvatron fall to the ground below.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Grimlock lands HARD on top of a house, sending wooden planks and splinters flying everywhere. Galvatron lands nearby; both impacts kick up a cloud of dust.
RATTRAP
Ouch. That looks like it hurt.
Back on: Galvatron.
He slowly picks himself up off the ground; he spots a group of humans nearby.
GALVATRON
Disgusting little creatures.
He SWATS one unfortunate human away.
On: Grimlock.
He gently puts Shawna on the ground. He rolls back onto his back, clearly in pain.
SHAWNA
Grimlock, are you alright?
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock fine; just stings. Shawna, go find Mama and hide. Me Grimlock kick butt!
Shawna doesn't say anything; she just nods and quickly runs away.
JULIA
Shawna, over here!
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Shawna runs over to Julia and leaps into her arms.
JULIA
Thank goodness you're safe.
BACK OVER TO: GRIMLOCK AND GALVATRON.
Grimlock climbs to his feet. He and Galvatron turn to face each other.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock bash brains!
GALVATRON
Not if I bash them first, Grimlock.
Galvatron lets loose a stream of flame at Grimlock. Grimlock takes a few steps back before transforming back into his Beast Form. He turns his body to the side to make himself look bigger.
GRIMLOCK
RRRAAARRRGGGHHH!
He CHARGES at Galvatron and headbutts him. Galvatron staggers backwards, allowing Grimlock to LATCH onto his throat with his jaws. Grimlock SLAMS Galvatron into the ground and pins him down with a foot.
GALVATRON
Release me!
He SWATS Grimlock on the side of the neck with his tail, causing Grimlock to let go.
GRIMLOCK
(growls)
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Galvatron tries to take flight, but Grimlock stops him by biting down on Galvatron's tail.
GALVATRON
AH!
Grimlock PULLS Galvatron back to the ground. Galvatron turns his head around and breathes some fire at Grimlock. The fire hits Grimlock head on, causing him to let go and step back.
GALVATRON
Galvatron, Terrorize!
Galvatron - TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE.
He TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and takes aim at Grimlock.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock, Maximize!
Grimlock - TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE.
He, too, TRANSFORMS into his Robot Form and CHARGES at Galvatron. Galvatron FIRES at Grimlock. The blast misses Grimlock's body, but hits his tail-arm, blowing it off. Grimlock keeps charging at Galvatron and PUNCHES him, causing him to stagger. Grimlock LIFTS Galvatron over his head and THROWS him against a house, destroying it. Galvatron tries to get up, but Grimlock stops him by punching him several times in the face.
GALVATRON
Get off of me!
He KICKS Grimlock back. Grimlock picks up his tail-arm with his free hand and reattatches it, then FIRES at Galvatron. The blast hits Galvatron square in the chest, blasting him off his feet. He quickly regains his balance and returns to his Beast Form.
GALVATRON
Die!
He lets loose another stream of fire at Grimlock.
GRIMLOCK
Beast Form!
He returns to his Beast Form and CHARGES through the fire at Galvatron. He clamps his jaws down over Galvatron's mouth. His teeth dig into Galvatron's scales and actually draw blood.
GRIMLOCK
Rrgh!
He SLAMS Galvatron into the ground and CHOMPS down on his neck again. Again, Galvatron SMACKS him with his tail, causing Grimlock to let go and stagger backwards.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Galvatron slowly climbs to his feet. His blood drips onto the ground.
GALVATRON
(weakly)
Predacons, retreat. This battle is lost.
He takes to the air.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
The other Predacons are also running away - some of them (Quickstrike and Bonecrusher) hitching a ride with Galvatron - while Rampage - in his Tank Mode - drives into the water and Inferno - carrying Blackarachnia - takes to the air via his propeller-butt.
On: Waspinator.
His body is riddled with holes thanks to being shot with guns and hit with garden tools, and his body is sparking and popping.
WASPINATOR
Wait for Waspinator!
He TRANSFORMS into his Beast Form and flies away, following the other Predacons.
Back on: Grimlock - Beast Form.
He's standing atop the cliff overlooking the town. The sun's just starting to come up, sillhouetting him as he looks out over the ocean, and he lets out a loud, victorious -
GRIMLOCK
RRRRRRRRAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHH!
Fade to:
EXT. - BEACH. MORNING.
The sun's higher in the sky now. The Maximals - all in their Beast Forms, minus Victoria (obviously) - are walking away from the town; we can see a small column of smoke rising from the town - the fires must have started to die down by now.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Shawna and Julia run towards the Maximals.
SHAWNA
Wait!
The Maximals stop and turn to face them.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Oh, it's you.
JULIA
We just wanted to say thank you. For everything.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Think nothing of it. It was the least we could do.
DINOBOT
Speak for yourself, Optimus.
Shawna walks up to Grimlock.
SHAWNA
And thank you, especially, Grimlock.
Grimlock leans down and gently nuzzles her with his snout.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock glad me could help.
Shawna puts a flower between two of his teeth.
SHAWNA
I'll never forget you, Grimlock.
JULIA
We'll never forget any of you.
Optimus simply nods his reply.
OPTIMUS PRIMAL
Well, we have to get back to base, keep track of the Predacons - you understand.
JULIA
Of course.
SHAWNA
You'll come back and visit, right?
GRIMLOCK
Of course. Bye-bye.
Shawna and Julia watch as the Maximals walk away.
ANOTHER ANGLE.
Victoria's walking alongside Grimlock.
VICTORIA
Hey, Grimlock.
GRIMLOCK
Hmm?
VICTORIA
I don't think any of us have ever seen you fight like that.
GRIMLOCK
Me Grimlock just...angry.
VICTORIA
Well, about what I said last night - you really do have the largest golden heart of anyone I know.
She pats Grimlock's leg.
VICTORIA
Never change, Grimlock.
Grimlock just looks down at Victoria and smiles, and on that note, we:
Fade out.
