A/n: Heh...heh..hey everyone! I know it's been like...nearly a month since the last update and all but with the holidays and problems of my own...well you know. I'm sure you've heard it all before.
I may post multiple chapters tonight so please do me a favor and review ON EACH ONE INDIVIDUALLY. Thank you. So without further interruption, here's the review responses : )
ZAGR loves: I hope you had a wonderful christmas and new years AND thanksgiving, seemingly I've missed it all! But yes, many people cried with oni's death and not that, that doesn't surprise me since I really focused on Vex's feels, but no one really singled out Difetto...O.o, I freaking love that guy, I RP about him all the time! But that's ok, he wasn't exactly highlighted a lot in the story XD. I hope this makes you feel better and want to kick some ass with the rest of the OC's! Have a wonderful night. CX
Avalonmagic: Don't you just love siblings? Mine just left for college again and I can't say I'm not glad to have the house back to myself. Sorry you're computer was dropped. I've thrown computers out windows but no TOO much more then that. Only once did I ever burn a computer because it didn't work and I was doing an "Experiment" (Evil laughter) ahem, anyways I how you had a wonderful irksmas and a happy doom year. XD. Good luck with the sibling!
IR: WOw I think that's the longest review I've ever received from you! I am honored! XD. The feels last chapter were intense, but they were meant to be for the plot line. Difetto's death was hard to write because other than Mia and Jax, he's my youngest OC and he means a lot to me. I spent forever on his design and worked even harder to make out who he is. I never highlighted it in the story but when he gets mad, he's an unstoppable machine that will destroy anything and anyone that gets in his way. But around some one he really cares about like Lexy for example, he tries really hard to hold back because he doesn't want her or anyone else seeing him like that. Though he mainly stays calm in stressful situations.
Last reviews at bottom. VOTE ON MY POLL SLAVES! I MEANNNNN it!
As the night came and went, the group quietly huddled together, waiting to be picked off by guards and sent to their new "owners". The mere thought of being owned by another species was degrading to Irkens, especially Irkens with slightly bigger egos than others.
Though at the moment, there wasn't much conversation flying around. They were all too busy wondering what their new lives were going to be like and how unhappy they were going to be. Mia sat in between the two men she loved the most: Vex and Sol, while everyone else was just blatantly merged around with each other. Some back to back, some leaning against each other, but most were just quietly sitting on their knees, waiting for their names to be called.
They'd been taking other slaves for the past half hour, but since the most recent lot came in late last night, they were going to be picked up and out last. The only people that weren't present in the group were Tabitha, Areo, Oniumare and of course Difetto. Tabitha probably had to adjust swifter than others having been obsessed over for months and now being in the clutches of the biggest bastard Irk ever heard of. It just made everyone's lives a little bit dimmer that day. Areo on the other hand, hadn't said a word since Difetto was killed. He just patiently sat in the farthest corner of the cell and drug his already bloody claws down the stone wall, leaving blood trails and scratches in the mineral.
Sol glanced over at him with a worried fashion. He wanted to go talk to Areo, but he didn't know if that was such a good idea, "You should go talk to him," Mia muttered, as if reading Sol's mind.
"He won't want the company," Sol answered softly, sighing and looking down, "He tends to like being alone anyways."
"Don't you think he needs someone right now?" Mia muttered, she couldn't see him, but she could sense him with her antenna and she knew just from natural instinct that he needed someone, a companion to talk to if nothing else.
"Of course he needs someone, but that doesn't mean he wants someone," Sol said back, "He's already lost his mother, and he never even knew his father…He really has no one else anymore."
"Except you."
"You're right, but Areo never comes to me when he's distressed, it's always been Difetto. Already I can tell you he's extremely pissed at Jax and probably wants his head so he can rip the eye's out and shank each eye with a wooden stake then-"
"Sol, I get it, he's mad."
"Sorry. He just made a promise to Difetto a long time ago, after their mother died that he'd protect him at all costs. And if one of them was going to go it'd be him first, never Difetto. He told Difetto not to grieve if something were to happen to him; clearly Areo didn't think the other possibility through much. This is how he is grieving for the loss of his brother."
"I still think you should talk to him," Mia insisted, "And while you do that, I'll be trying to talk to Vex, whom hasn't moved since he was shoved in here. Oniumare meant the world to him, and now that Moon has his baby AND Oniumare is dead, he has no one."
"Jeb?" Sol offered earing a rough punch to the arm.
"No one who will understand like I do." Sol's expression fell into an "oh" as he remembered she lost her sister the night of the ball. But then again, Jeb lost his daughter/clone.
"You're really stubborn, you know that?" He grumbled, shakily trying to get up with his shot and hurting leg before limping over to the corner Areo was seated in and sideways sliding down the wall, so his PAK wouldn't make a scritching sound on the wall.
He winced upon feeling the gash on his chest opening a bit more from the movement, "Areo-"
"Go away Sol," Areo hissed back, continuing to gouge the wall with his bloody claws, "I want to be left alone."
"I know, but I don't think it's a good idea. Now I know you're upset about Difetto…"
"It seems I'm the ONLY one upset about Difetto," He hissed back, his dark yellow eyes slightly glaring over at Sol.
"What?" Sol said, mostly to himself, "Areo I miss him too."
"Do you?" Areo snapped, finally facing Sol for the first time, "I didn't see tons of grieving yesterday."
"Of course I do, we all just grieve differently."
"You know Sol, Difetto didn't deserve any of what happened to him." He growled, his antenna snapping back and his chest puffing out aggressively.
"I know that but I-"
"You don't know that," Areo accused, hearing the guard call his name as next up to go, "If you'd never met that stupid girl, then none of this ever would've happened to us. We would've done fine together, just the three of us, until you got distracted and stopped paying attention to me and Difetto. Hell we probably would've left the planet somehow and been fine on our own, but no. You had to stay behind and join a group that didn't even know and or care about you. All because of some…some GIRL!" The guard called his name again, "Maybe next time when it's her life in danger, you'll have learned from your mistakes." He struggled to get up after that, since his shot hip was still aching and not healed properly. Leaving Sol alone and staring at where he just was as he walked to the guard with dignity and slipped out of the cell, getting escorted by another hard labor worker whom was taking him to his section of work.
"Are you…accusing me?" Sol muttered to himself, feeling his jaw drop a little bit. The sadness he was feeling a second ago had suddenly been replaced by a burning anger, rage and hurt, "ARE YOU TELLING ME IT'S MY FAULT DIFETTO DIED!" He grabbed the wall where Areo's bloody marks were and hauled himself up onto one leg, limping over the cell walls and grabbing them, trying to see through them to where Areo was walking away, "HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF HIS DEATH! DAMMIT AREO I LOVED HIM TOO! HE WASN'T JUST YOUR BROTHER YOU KNOW! HE WAS MINE TOO; I LOVED HIM JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DID! I MISS HIM JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO IF NOT MORE! I TOOK BOTH OF YOU IN AS CLOSE FRIENDS FROM AN EARLY AGE AND WELCOMED YOU INTO MY HOME, I LOVED YOU BOTH AS BROTHERS AND YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO ACCUSE ME OF HIS DEATH! HOW DARE YOU! I DIDN'T KILL HIM! I WASN'T THE REASON HE WAS SHOT AT!" Liao cringed at this, hearing Sol's painful wailing. He lowered his antenna and looked away, feeling his heart twist painfully. It was his fault Difetto was shot and killed…if only he hadn't challenged Jax, "I DIDN'T KILL HIM! I DIDN'T PULL THE TRIGGER ON MY OWN KIN! I LOVED HIM!"
"Sol," Mia fretted, trying to calm him down, "Sol please calm down."
"GET BACK HERE AREO! GET BACK HERE AND TELL THAT TO MY FACE! IF YOU WANT TO FUCKING ACCUSE ME OF KILLING ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THEN SAY IT. TO. MY. FACE! BE A MAN YOU ASSHOLE! FUCK YOU; I DID EVERYTHING IN MY POWER! HELL THERE'S NOTHING I COULD'VE DONE AREO! GET BACK HERE! DAMMIT I ORDER YOU TO GET BACK HERE AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE! YOU COWARD, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! HE WASN'T JUST YOUR BROTHER! HE WASN'T JUST YOUR BEST FRIEND AND HE SURE AS HELL WASN'T JUST YOUR SHOULDER TO LEAN ON! HE WAS MINE TOO! I…I…" He didn't know where to go from there, he felt like he'd already said enough and his face was hot from the amount of rage he was expressing. He slowly sunk to his knees, making sure to be careful with his injured leg as big hot tears started pouring out of his eyes, "I didn't kill him! I didn't do it!" He started wailing now, slamming his fist into the wall he was next to and sobbing hard. Areo may have lost his little brother, but Sol lost his best friend, his soul brother, his shoulder to lean on, and his friend to be immature and joke around with, his helper, the person he went to for everything, including relationship advice and girls in general.
"Sol stop it! You'll attract attention to yourself and you'll be next!" Mia snapped, becoming frightened at the way his voice sounded. She now regretted her decision to ask Sol to talk to Areo.
"I agree," Liao said quietly, "I don't want ta hear anymore bout Difetto. It does just affect you two, it affects us too!"
"Yeah I'm sure you'd know!" Sol snapped, turning to Liao with a wild look in his eyes, "If you had never said that Jax wasn't a proper threat then he never would've killed Difetto to prove that he was!"
Liao cringed and blinked a couple times, feeling heat rush into his face, how could he be so stupid, "Yeah that's right, instead of Difetto it just could've been all of us, or me, or you Sol. It could've been anyone. Just because he wouldn't have killed Difetto if Liao hadn't said anything doesn't mean he wouldn't have killed any of the rest of us too! And Liao is right, you are not the only one affected by Difetto's death. I loved him too! I taught him sign language, I accepted him even though he was mute and labeled by name Defective." Lexy defended, though it didn't make Liao feel any better.
"You love him?" Sol hissed, antenna slapping back on his head, "For what, the six months that you knew him. I grew UP with him! I was there at the hospital when he got a new robotic arm to replace his old one. I helped him every step of the way just as much as he helped me and you think YOU loved him!?"
"I did!" Lexy snarled, "Just because I didn't grow up with him doesn't mean I didn't love him! You loved him as a brother! I loved him as a person!"
"STOP TALKIN' ABOUT IT!" Liao shouted angrily, covering his antenna with his hands, "I don't want to hear any more about him! I don't wanna know! Jus shut up! SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!"
"You're all attracting attention to yourselves!" Mia snapped, feeling around while getting up and grabbing Sol's arm, "I don't want you to get taken away yet, so stop fighting! We are all in this together!"
"You are not the peace keeper Mia," Riley growled, "What we should be talking about is how Cari is oh I don't know fucking evil? Oh and lest we forget the little fact that your lovely niece is pregnant!" She hissed at Vex, "Oh and one more thing, oh I don't know just the fact that MOON HAS YOUR CHILD! Is that not a topic of interest right now?!"
"How…did you know Tabitha was his niece?" Jeb asked, genuinely confused as he looked over at Riley.
"How could I not, it's in his file." Riley shrugged, "Remember, I was a cop before this dumbass drove me mad."
"In his file?" Mia asked, glancing at Vex curiously, "How was that in your file? It's a figure of speech, just a connected bond with a new title…isn't it?"
"What?" Riley scoffed back, making Vex's expression fall harder, "No it's not. Vex took Tabitha to Tallest Blue, begging him to take her in when he was still being trained as a guard for punishment against the empire."
"No he didn't," Sol interrupted, "From what I heard that's how he met Tabitha, through Tallest Blue, he had no interaction before that."
"Yes he did!" Riley spat, "Clearly Mr. Perfect over here hasn't been telling the truth to you guys."
"Wait, Vex is this true? I thought they knew about what happened?" Jeb said, giving his old friend a concerned look. Vex sat silently and looked down in shame, not wanting to be talked to, "Vex?"
"He clearly doesn't want to talk to you," Minerva hissed, "And if he kept this topic in the dark, then clearly it was meant to stay in the dark."
"Wait, but this doesn't make any sense," Jeb said, "I don't know who knows what version of what story. I know Tabitha's connection to Vex, what do you know about it?"
"That he met her upon working with Tallest Blue raised her as his own and trained her. At least, that's what I got from Mia," Sol tiredly shrugged, looking at Mia in confusion.
"Well that's wrong," Riley pointed out in a snooty way, rolling her eyes, "Young people sheesh. If you want to know what really happened then listen up."
"What if he doesn't want it getting out?" Jeb growled, challenging the preppy female.
"He doesn't seem to be protesting."
"He doesn't seem to be doing a lot of anything since he had to kill Oniumare," Jeb snapped back, glaring at her with his deep purple eyes, "Until he says yes, don't talk about it. It's none of your business anyways."
"It's all of our business now," Riley countered, "We all know her in some way, correct?"
Everyone nodded their approvals except Sol, "Sort of," Sol muttered, "Through my brothers…and Mia."
"Right, see they all have a right to know where they're friend came from," Riley pointed out, making Vex's antenna lower unhappily. He moved out of the group a little bit and turned his back to them, really not wanting to be a part of the conversation any longer. "So without further interruption," She glared at Jeb, "Here's what really happened. You see Vex here had a brother, his name was Dallas and he was Tabitha's real father."
The group exchanged looks as Vex's antenna drooped in front of his face. He stared at them sadly as Riley continued, "Dallas was married to a woman named Copper. But he wasn't a very good person from what I heard. He didn't want kids, hell he conceived Tabitha while he was drunk and raping his wife." Vex cringed upon hearing that sentence again, "Copper never wanted children either because her hips weren't wide enough to birth them. But when she was in labor they had to make space. Sadly they couldn't and she died from the sheer injury Tabitha gave her while being pushed out. Well Dallas was pissed about this and started drinking more. On the other hand Vex here loved kids and loved coming over to see his niece, but he could tell she wasn't happy with her dad. There were even times when he came over and she hadn't been bathed since his last visit. It was disgusting. Dallas kept getting worse and worse until one night, he started getting abusive. It was kept very discrete though, just from Tabitha's fear of getting hit or beaten again. Well one day, Mr. Good boy over here walked in to surprise Tabitha for her birthday, only to find Dallas beating her. He attacked Dallas and handcuffed him to a railing before going to see if Tabitha was ok. She was far from ok, but she was alive. He turned to see Dallas was still spitting curses at them and calling Tabitha a mistake and a dirty little bitch."
"How do you know all the details?" Jeb snapped, antenna lowering. He didn't like the memory either. He and Vex were not friends then, but they still knew what was going on in the other's life.
"I was getting there!" Riley snapped, "So Vex, being fueled by rage started beating his brother until they were fist fighting. Albeit Dallas was still handcuffed to the railing, he could fight. He grabbed a broken beer bottle and smacked Vex in the face with it, thus causing that lovely little scar that sits across his eye. So Vex tried to get the bottle from him only ending up with glass shards in his hand and cuts all over. When he finally did get it, he hit Dallas as hard as he could on the head with it and Dallas fell unconscious. Vex was half blind when he fell unconscious, the bleeding cuts were really not helping his half and half weak stature. Well little did they know the police were called by a neighbor and when they showed up, they found out Dallas wasn't just unconscious but he was dead. He had choked on his own blood and suffocated while being passed out from the fight. Vex was alive and so was Tabitha, but Vex was taken to Jail and Tabitha sent off to what the police thought was an orphanage. I was just a deputy at that time and didn't have the case, but I sure as hell heard about it, and I was there for Vex's interrogations about who hurt Tabitha and why. The place that we thought was an orphanage really was one, but they had a bit of a trick up their sleeve. Any child that couldn't work to pay their own way was sold for money into either slavery or to be killed and ground up to be fed to other vicious animals. Tabitha was sold into slavery where actually a nicer owner took her in. He was the man that promptly named her Tabitha and had her branded with what auction number she was 28. I know this because THIS was my case and I arrested the man that bought Tabitha in the first place. Poor child was barely able to function when I found her. She wouldn't speak to anyone and she especially wouldn't make eye contact with anyone. The man who bought her had tons of other slaves of all different age groups, but Tabitha was still only a child so she required special treatment which caused her to be bullied by the other slaves and as usual pushed around by her master as well for being a burden. Vex had been bailed by the time I got back, but he was about ready to kill me when he saw I had his kin. So I told him he couldn't have her because he was still in school, but he could find her a home until he could take care of her."
"That's when he turned to Tallest Blue," Jeb muttered, glaring over at Riley.
"Exactly, he was forced to be a guard anyway, and Blue's daughter was the same age, so he knew Blue would sympathize with him. Plus the Tallest took a liking to Vex. Why I will never know, but he did, so of course he welcomed Tabitha with open arms. Vex left and went back to school until he became an official guard and went to work for Tallest Blue. Tabitha was still shy but she was now talking and a bit rambunctious. Only one problem though."
"She didn't remember him," Jeb sighed, looking over at Vex whom had only seemed to get sadder throughout the conversation.
"Right, so he played it off cool and trained her as a guard, raising her and pretending to be like her uncle even though he really IS her uncle. He didn't want her to know it so she wouldn't ask questions. Blue supported his decision and left Tabitha in the dark for all this time. Even today she doesn't know who her real parents are. Or if she even had parents, sad isn't it?"
"She knows she has parents, Vex is her parent, she doesn't care about any other guardian in her life," Jeb growled, antenna flattening towards her.
"Vex…you killed your own brother?" Minerva asked quietly, still in shock herself.
He darkly glanced over his shoulder and gave Riley an Icy look, "I did, what I had ta do, ta protect the most valuable thing in that household. I didn't mean ta kill the bastard, but I'm glad I did. He never deserved to have a baby as amazing as Tabitha anyways."
"Is this why you don't drink?" Mia asked, antenna lowering.
"Yes. I never wanted to turn out like him. I hated him, I always did, but I didn't intend to kill him when I got there, I intended to give my niece a surprise party since I knew he wouldn't even address that it was her birthday. I was going to take her out for the day and show her my school and my girlfriend in case we would one day maybe adopt or even just take Tabitha away from Dallas."
"What was her name before she was sent into slavery?"
"She didn't have a name," Vex growled darkly, "Which is why I never changed it after getting her back from little demon bitch over there. I called her sugar, darlin', baby doll or princess whenever I was around her. Dallas called her little bitch and whore. Great father wasn't he?" Sol looked taken back by this, he didn't know Tabitha well, but he knew no one deserved that kind of child hood.
"Where were the children sold?" He asked, directing the question towards Riley.
"The black market, where else? A street corner?" She scoffed.
"I knew the guy that owned Tabitha. His name was Rogue wasn't it? He's a gangster for Irk's sake he doesn't exactly collect children like you played it out. He works a secret cooperation selling illegal weapons and codes for tons of money. There is a bar there where the older people he's TAKEN IN work at if they want. Anyone younger than 170 worked upstairs, cleaning used bedrooms or working directly for him as servants. If you are trying to tell us that he ever laid a hand on Tabitha-"
"Did I SAY he ever laid a hand on her?" Riley cut in, glaring at him, "You know if I were still a respected cop I'd arrest you right now for even knowing about the black market."
"How DO you know about the black market Sol?" Mia asked nervously.
"Oh I used to get illegal weapons and medicine there myself. Swords mostly. I was constantly at the auctions Rogue was at. But I was very young as well. Tabitha and I are nearly the same age; I just used to wander as an independent child and stumbled down there once. I thought it was the coolest thing in the world when I first saw it. I never knew they sold actual Irkens there until I grew older though. I know it was Rogue though because I heard about his arrest at an Auction a long time later. The police had ransacked his whole cooperation and some of the weapons he made there were salvaged by spies and sold off. I still have one at home!"
"Oh irk the people I involve myself with…" Mia murmured to herself; face palming a couple times as Sol nudged her with his shoulder.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that," Riley sighed, rolling her eyes, "But yeah, it was Rogue who owned her for a few years. Still better than her father."
"Why didn't you just let Vex take her in?" Mia asked, leaning gently against Vex as the guards came back into the room.
"Are you kidding, he was still in school."
"I still could've taken care of her," Vex growled.
"Are you kidding, you were still trying to get rid of your real name at that time. I'm guessing they don't know about that either do they?"
"No, and they don't need to." He said firmly, giving a wary glance at the group, "None of ya need ta know my real name. It's not important."
"Uh yeah it is, dur. It's your name smart one," Riley said, rolling her eyes.
"It WAS my name and it doesn't need to be brought up again."
"Why don't you like it, it's not like it means anything?"
"It meant something ta me, an' it meant somethin' ta my parents. That's why I don't like it."
"Just because you weren't daddy's angel-"
"I never wanted to be 'Daddy's angel'," Vex snapped, turning around and grabbing the front of her shirt, "My dad was an asshole. I hope he rots in hell. Heck, hell isn't even good enough for him. It's too much of a luxury. He killed my mother; he deserves to die a very slow and very painful death."
"OH I get it now; because you were named after him you don't like your name. How boring."
"Go ta hell," Vex snapped again, "An' stay out of my past and my nieces past!"
"But why Vexy Chexy, you're pasts are like soap operas for Irk's sake. They're more interesting than watching an actual soap opera."
"Don't call me that, and it's because they're none of yer business, so stay out of em." He growled in her face before releasing her and turning back to facing the wall. His antenna perked upon hearing his name being called and he knew it was time, "I'll meet ya fer work tomorrow, kay kiddo?" He said, nudging Mia with his foot and nodding over to Sol knowingly.
"Ok," Mia murmured, not really knowing what to say to him right now. He got up silently after that and walked over to the guard as another one came to take him away.
"Sol," The guard said, catching Sol's attention. He looked at Mia frantically before nudging her face with his own and getting up.
"Stay safe Mia, I'll keep in touch as much as I can." She rigidly nodded again as Sol walked over to see another Irken come to meet him. It was Phoenix, Burg's other slave. The guard nodded to Phoenix before handcuffing Sol and handing him over.
Silently, Phoenix led Sol away from the cell. He tried to memorize the way as they walked but after about ten rights and twelve lefts he gave up. It was just a huge maze game in here. "Thank you," He eventually said to the elder slave, glancing over at him, "For helping your master choose me over Mia, I couldn't imagine her being in the hands of another male."
Phoenix said nothing as they continued, making Sol feel a little bit awkward, "What's your name?" He tried, "I'm Sol." The larger male looked at him curiously for a second before pointing to the tattoo on his neck. "Phoenix? Is that your name?" He nodded and continued on, "Are you mute? You seemed to be able to talk yesterday during the auction."
Phoenix looked at him sternly before glancing around and opening his mouth, "You never speak when escorting another slave. The slave isn't supposed to talk either."
"Why?" Phoenix grit his teeth at Sol's persistence.
"Because if we are heard by another owner and disturb them from whatever it is that they're doing, that word spreads to our owner and we pay for it. Usually through rape or worse, torture."
"Torture is worse than rape?" Sol asked, ignoring his warning about not speaking.
"Much worse," Phoenix answered, looking at him before continuing, "I didn't help you get chosen because the girl you were with. I helped because I knew you could take it, just from looking at you. The girl you were with never would've survived with Burg; you may have a chance, so you're the next best choice. Though with your constant talking I'm quickly realizing I may have been mistaken."
"What kinds of torture?"
"Kinds you won't like. One is much like the saying shoving a stick up your ass."
"Isn't that rape?"
"Not when it's a real stick, I guess it could be considered that though."
"Has this happened to you? You could be seriously hurt if it has. I am a doctor I can maybe help you. I have little to no supplies in my jacket and no painkillers, except for some aspirin but I can still possibly help you."
"If it's happened to me, I'd be dead. They kill you when they do it, but they do it slowly to torture you. See how the torture comes into play now?"
"Well yes but what torture have you gone through?"
"I got to watch my planet burn and crumble, that's torture enough for me."
"There must be something else?"
"There's plenty, I'm sure you'll learn them quickly if you don't shut up already. We're passing one of the main halls and I don't know about you but I kind of like my tongue, antenna, pride and hands. So I suggest shutting up for once." Sol quickly quieted down as they passed a large hall.
He only stopped upon hearing a very unhappy screaming. His antenna shot straight up as he looked back. Phoenix kept trying to shove him along but he was having none of it, "I know that scream. That's one of my friends, what if she's hurt and needs my help?"
"No help you could give her would fix what she's going through right now, I'll give you that," Phoenix hissed quietly through clenched teeth, "Now SHUT UP!"
"But-But my friend, I have to help her!" Sol snapped back, causing Phoenix to shrink behind a corner in fear of being heard. He grabbed Sol by the neck and slapped a hand over his mouth, glaring hard at the younger male and pointing to a door that opened up, showing a very angry and tired looking Vortarian peeking out, trying to see where the noise was coming from."
Phoenix drug Sol along until they were in a denser area with fewer rooms of unimportant people, "You nearly got us caught back there! Listen to me and listen closely. Your friend is probably being raped in the most horrific ways possible, there is nothing you can do for her but close your antenna so you don't hear her, embarrassing her more. I am giving you one more warning, Sol was it? Burg will kill you if you talk to him, or if you talk at all. Do NOT make eye contact with him, do NOT act out while he is in the room, do NOT scream unless you are told to, do NOT fight back if he tries anything on you and most importantly DO NOT TALK. As much as it sounds horrible now, it'll soon be the code you live by to avoid getting beaten and raped every time you're around him."
"Ok, ok. But until we get there can I at least try to find out more about this?" Phoenix grunted, knowing he was going to ask his questions whether or not he Okayed it, "How many times have you been raped?"
"I lost count," He hissed, antenna snapped back, "Lately it's been twice a day if I get lucky." Sol gulped, that did not sound pleasant.
"Is he violent when he does this?"
"It depends on how much I fight back, so yes, he's violent. Once I just laid there and he got mad because I didn't do anything, so I earned a black eye, broken jaw and a not so nice hand checkup down stairs if you understand what I mean. Your best bet, since he likes you is to just let it happen and pretend to enjoy it."
"What? How could I even call myself an Irken if I did that! I am not some whore!" Sol defended, "And I especially don't find it attractive to have another mans-"He was shut up when Phoenix slapped a hand over his mouth again.
"Do not, finish that sentence," The older male said slowly, "Soon you'll be thanking Irk if all he wants is Oral sex," Sol gagged at this, that almost sounded worse than penetration, "He usually wants that every time he's in the room. Be happy I took the fall for you today before I came to get you. Trust me; starting off the 'job' like that is not a good welcoming party."
"You mean…you…?"
"Don't talk about it," Phoenix said, looking away, "I didn't want another slave with us. Not only because I didn't want another Irken to live through my nightmare every day but because I didn't want the embarrassment of being watched and or having to participate in some sexual fantasy Burg will most likely come up with now that there's another male stepping in. Because now he can watch and trust me, I don't want that just as much as you don't want to be touched. Now shut up, we're almost there."
"One more question, have you tried defending yourself?"
"The first time I tried defending myself, I bit him and I bit him hard where no man ever wants to be bitten. I was given the muzzle right off the bat."
"The…muzzle?" Sol asked, but Phoenix hushed him as they came upon a large door.
Nervously Phoenix pushed the door opened and stepped inside with Sol following after, "You're late," Burg snapped, causing both men to flinch, "He's the newbie I'm assuming?" Phoenix nodded and stood his ground, but making sure to not make eye contact. As was Sol, remembering what Phoenix said would happen if he did.
"Phoenix," Burg addressed, tapping his claws on his legs impatiently, "You know where you need to be, so be there." Phoenix silently nodded and slipped over to the bed, putting on a collar and pulling off the baggy pants he was given before sitting on the bed patiently.
Now Sol was left to stand alone in front of this monster, "What's your name Irken?" He asked, standing up and circling Sol like a piece of prey.
When he didn't respond, he was grabbed by the antenna and yanked forward, causing him to yelp in protest, "I asked you a question slave, now answer it."
"I was told to not talk when around you," Sol hissed back in a smart ass way.
"When I am talking to you, you will answer me. You will speak when spoken to, are we clear?"
"Hey, that rhymes, you wanna know what else rhymes with that? FUCK YOU!" Sol snapped back, crossing his arms and glaring up at the larger male as Phoenix cast him a nervous glare. Sol was slapped hard on the side of the head within seconds. His hearing went out and his antenna started ringing as Burg literally just grabbed him and slammed him down onto the bed below Phoenix.
"I asked you a question, now ANSWER it!"
"I already gave you my name. It's fuck you, kind of catchy when you think about it," Sol groaned back, tenderly massaging his antenna with his hand, completely ignoring the danger in front of him.
"Fine," Burg hissed, lashing his hand out and gripping it around Sol's still fresh bullet wound. Sol felt a shriek of agony leaving his throat as his hand snapped around Burgs wrist, or part of it. Burg was a very large Vortarian and he was tall. His back arched in agony as he used his other leg to fend off his attacker, not that it worked. "Oh so you don't like that huh?" Burg rumbled, grabbing Sol's shirt and swoofing it off over his head.
He yelped as it was taken away from him before snapping his arms up to defend himself. Burg merely rolled his eyes and squeezed his leg wound again before using his other hand and digging two claws down into the deep gash over Sol's heart. He stretched the injured flesh a little bit as Sol screamed bloody murder and flailed, wanting the pain over his heart to STOP. "Tell me what your name is!" He snapped, pushing his fingers deeper into the wound.
"It's SOL!" Phoenix finally snapped. He covered his mouth seconds later as Burg stopped harassing Sol and turned towards him. Sol laid panting on the bed and groaning as he pathetically tried to get Burgs hand off of his injured leg, it was not pleasant.
Burg removed the hand and quickly grabbed both of Phoenix's wrists, twisting them to near breaking point, "Sorry, I'm sorry master," Phoenix said, lowering his face and clenching his eyes shut. He didn't want to be struck, not today.
He was grateful when Burg only sprained one of his wrists before letting go, letting him press against the bed frame and cradle his injury like a baby. "So your name is Sol, interesting," Burg muttered to himself, looking over his new slave in curiosity.
Sol ignored him until feeling a hand groping around where he did not like to be touched, ever. That was his private area, not someone else's to touch when they feel like it. So as he gasped he acted unexpectedly and launched up, slamming his fist straight into Burgs face between his eyes.
Burg snarled in anger and pain while reeling back and covering his face. Sol took this as his chance and struggled to get to the other side of the bed, curling his legs up into his chest in the process and getting ready to defend himself again.
Phoenix gasped and looked between Sol and his master, not knowing what to do but knowing very well what happened after you hit a superior. Burg's eyes flared with rage as he lifted his hands above his head and balled them into fists. Sol cringed, knowing he was about to get hit and that it was going to hurt but when Burg went down to beat the shit out of him, he hit the wrong person.
Phoenix yelped loudly as his back was struck just below his PAK, causing him to collapse on top of Sol and whimper. "DAMMIT Phoenix!" Burg snarled, grabbing Phoenix by the neck and slamming him into the bed frames wall, causing a horrible cracking sound to be heard and an agonized wail to drag out of Phoenix's throat. He slumped over unconscious after this as Burg reached into a drawer and grabbed a pair of hand cuffs that he'd taken off Sol earlier. He attached one to Phoenix's injured wrist and the other to the bed frame so he couldn't protect Sol any longer.
Sol's eyes widened as he looked at the older male, he then glared at Burg and shouted, "You broke his back!"
"And I'm debating doing the same to you!" Burg yelled, reeling his fist back before slamming it into Sol's jaw. If not to teach him a lesson then to get back at him for the earlier hit he got in. "You stupid whore, I think you need to start with the muzzle as well."
Sol feeling dazed and dizzy didn't have the strength to fight back as Burg grabbed his arm and drug him into another connected room, shutting the door behind himself and dropping Sol. Leaving him to hit the ground with a dull thud.
Groaning, Sol curled up on the metal floor, watching as Burg went and grabbed something off a table and came back, grabbing his face and forcing his jaw open before placing the object inside his mouth and strapping it tight behind his head, "Initially this was made so no one could hear you scream, but a crew member enhanced it. Every time you make a noise, the little contraption in there will click twice, slowly pushing your jaw out of socket and could potentially rip it off your face completely. Also, if you scream and struggle, it releases a hot spice that floats down your throat and cuts the soft lining of your esophagus and stomach. The more this happens the more you'll choke on your own blood and eventually drown in it. Oh and last thing, you can only breathe out of your mouth, it lets you breathe every forty seconds and gives you thirty seconds to catch your breath before cutting off oxygen again. As you and I both know, a rapid heart rate equals increased breathing which of course means you need more oxygen. Too bad you won't be able to get it." Sol looked up at him tiredly before resting his head against his arms, begging for the forty seconds to be up so he could breathe again, "See, I already like you better."
He then grabbed Sol's injured leg and drug him back into the main room, dropping the leg and causing Sol to wince, "I am leaving for a while. By the time I get back I want him fixed," he pointed to phoenix, "Completely fixed and in working condition again. If he is not as I want him when I get back, you will be next and I will rape you instead of him."
Then, he was gone, just like that. Leaving Sol lying on the floor, looking like a beat up rag doll and gasping for the air that the muzzle was letting him have. He didn't know when Burg would be back, but his body wasn't about to let him do anything else. So he figured he had time to rest his eyes, even if it was just for five minutes.
A/N: Yayy, so we get to see a little bit of slave life here now! I not only did Sol's slave life because I wanted to focus in on Phoenix and how he's taken it all in, but also because I wanted everyone to see how a male may or may not react in this situation. Let alone a stubborn male such as Sol, whom also doesn't like body to body contact. So seeing some rebellious action come from him hopefully not only satisfied me but you guys too. :3. And NOW you all know Tabitha's past, I sort of forgot about it for a while, but there it is, and Vex's real name? Well that's a secret I think only myself and Treefroggies know because I accidentally slipped up in our RP when Jax and Vex were talking. So she knows but she'll keep her mouth shut WON'T YOU TREEFROGGIES!
Also, Areo indecently pinning the blame of Difetto's death on Sol, harsh angst feels man. Angst feels... 8C

Fritter Critter: I'm not sure how this RP site works, or how even to do anything on it. So you'll have to explain it to my old fashioned brain! And yes, I'm glad you thought last chapter was sad and depressing, can't have drama without angst and depression right...? XD. We STILL don't know what happened to Reth, Valenth and Zim. but in time...in time. :) I'll get back to our RP probably in the morning now, since it's already vastly late and I'm still in the mood to write.
Psychochikennnn: MUAHAHAHAHA I finally made someone cry! Sounds horrible but you have no idea how happy I am to hear you had a feels attack like the rest of us. Yes. I agree Moon and Jax need to DIE painfully but there's more torture and pain to come and a hUUUGGGGEEEE twist that you'll all hate me for and possibly not like ahahahahahahwee;auweh uw fuck my life. IT WILL HAPPEN HOES. I'm so glad you like SAMR I was like EEEEEEEEEE finalllyyyyy! You have no idea how long I've waited. But hey we get to see a different side of Sol in this chapter! What did you think? I hope I didn't make him seem like a wimp, cause obviously he's not, but he does have a sensitive side. And hey I mentioned the black market YYYEAHHH BUDDY giddy giddy XDDDD. Yes, I would take the place of a loved one as Sol has done if I could. Just as Sol has for Mia, can you imagine what jsut happened to him happening to her? It just makes my bone marrow ache, I don't like it. So Sol takes the fall again. Such a gentle men XD. And no worries I won't oh lord smexionius XDDDD. It'll take more then a measly review to sway me in the wrong direction. :3 NOW TO THE RAIN BOW! WEEEEHHHHHEEHEEHEHEHEHEHEEEE.
