After we met up with the others and explained what we had been told, we headed to our next campsite. As soon as camp was finished being set up, I pretty much collapsed into Hikari's tail, falling asleep quickly.
No one's POV:
In the throne room of the palace, Fire Lord Ozai sat in his throne. Azula entered the room, bowing low. "You called for me, father?"
"Yes. I am concerned over this Harley Quinn character. She's been tormenting the nation. I want you to find her, and stop her," the Fire Lord ordered.
Azula smirked. "As you wish, father." She rose, and exited the room.
She journeyed down a hallway, and eventually emerged in the palace courtyard. Zuko was there, feeding the turtleducks. "Hello Zuzu."
"What do you want Azula?" Zuko snapped.
"Can't a sister come say hello to her brother?" Zuko looked at her doubtfully. "Well, I tried. Anyways, I saw how you looked at that black haired girl. You know, one of the Split Avatar. Mai was ever so upset hearing about her."
Zuko stiffened. "I have no feelings for Kasai Azula. She's an enemy, just like the Avatar."
"Oh, so you're on a first name basis? Impressive. not that it matters. You'll have to settle for Mai," Azula said with a shrug.
Zuko glared at Azula. "What did you do to her?" he demanded angrily. "Where is she?"
Azula shrugged. "Buried somewhere, probably. Oh, it wasn't me," she said at Zuko's enraged look. "I only just received word of it. A few days ago, Harley Quinn was reported leaving behind the exact area Kasai was found dead only twenty minutes later." Azula gave a little smile. "Anyways, just thought you should know."
She left the garden, and Zuko clenched his fists angrily. He blasted a wave of fire across the pond with an angry yell, then glared at the ground. "I'll kill you Harley Quinn," he growled. "No matter what it takes. But first, I'll destroy your precious coven right in front of you so you can know how it feels to have someone you care about brutally murdered."
Kasai's POV:
When I finally woke up, it was to the sound of fighting. I sat up, seeing Katara and Toph attacking each other. I groaned, and got up. Luckily, Aang interrupted them. Tate saw i was awake, and came over. "How long have I been asleep?" I asked groggily, rubbing my eyes.
"Well, the sun came up a few hours ago," Tate shrugged "Most of us have been up since dawn. Celeste is still sleeping though, and Aang only got up about an hour ago. I guess going to your past lives memories takes a lot out of you."
I nodded. "Yeah… Yeah, it does. Excuse me now. I'm gonna go get ready for the day."
I felt a bit bad brushing Tate off like that, but I didn't want him to think I liked him as more than a friend then be disappointed. In this world, I really only had feelings for Zuko.
I went about my daily routine, deciding to put my hair in a braid instead a headband or ponytail.
I'd noticed my hair had progressively gotten longer. It had started out at my elbows, and now reached just above my hips. I'd been in the Avatarverse for over a year, and hadn't cut it once.
Wow. A year. I was sixteen, and hadn't even realised it. I didn't even know what month my birthday would fall on here. And Celeste would be seventeen. Yeesh.
'Oi! Kasai! Come meditate!'
I jumped at Celeste's voice in my head, not expecting it. 'Yeesh Celeste, you don't have to scream,' I grumbled. 'I'll be there soon. Just let me tell the others I'll be busy.'
I ran over to Taurei. "Celeste told me to come meditate, so there's probably something important. Tell the others that I won't be accessible."
I walked over near Hikari, not waiting for an answer. I made myself an earth tent that was closed on all sides, then let myself fall into a meditative trance.
When I opened my eyes again, Celeste was there with Roku. "I'm glad you have arrived. It's time for you to start your training in the spirit world. I have called on Sukoshi to assist you."
There was a soft glow, and with a soft 'pop' a small girl appeared. She was up to my shin, with short blonde hair and brown eyes, She wore a black kimono with sleeves that covered her hands. "I may be small, but don't let that fool you," she said threateningly. "I can kill you easily."
I snorted. "Doesn't your name literally translate to little? I doubt you could hurt us."
Sukoshi shot a beam of light at me. It narrowly missed my face, shaving off a few strands of hanging hair. "Okay! Okay! You're dangerous!" I said quickly.
"What are you going to teach us?" Celeste asked. "How to shoot laser beams from our hands?"
"No we'll be starting with your spirit form," Sukoshi replied. "Your spirit form is the animal that represents you. Once you have unlocked it, you are able to learn more difficult things. If you get good enough at transforming in the spirit world, you will eventually begin being able to transform in the physical world. Your friends Kai Lee and Taurei are more in touch with their spiritual form, allowing them to access parts of it in the physical world. If they were to work harder at it, they would be able to posses the ability to fully transform into their animal form."
"Can you do that?" I asked curiously. "The spirit form thing?"
Sukoshi nodded. She closed her eyes, and a white light surrounded her. It grew much larger, and when it faded, a full size griffin was looking down at us. The light surrounded Sukoshi again, and she reverted to her normal form.
"That's how it's done," she said finally.
I grinned. This was gonna be fun.
A/N: Not the longest chappie, but... whatever! Any guesses on what Celeste and Kasai's spirit forms will be? I already have them picked out, but I might change Kasai's if I feel it suits her better. Reviews are loved more then spirit training!
