Cody: Well, we finally got chapter 34 done! Hasn't been that easy since I've started a new job, night shift at that...Now I sleep almost all day and then have about an hour to get ready for work. Been slow coming together, but at least it has and it's done now.
Lilly: Yeah, his new job's really been cutting into a lot of things, including our love. Not as much time anymore for...our activities. *giggling*
Cody: I know, but you know I try and make it up to you...*kisses Lilly's cheek*

Three Weeks Later
So, it's been a few weeks now since they decided on getting the new house. Cody got the call last Friday evening that it was ready to move into, so he called his parents and they came over Saturday morning to help them all pack and load everything into his Dad's truck and his car. Considering they didn't really have a lot to worry about, it only took five or six hours to get everything either into boxes or loaded into the truck, like the couch and the bed. The kids' beds simply broke down with a few screws and were loaded in as well so they'd be one of the first things into the new house and set up so they'd have a place to sleep that night. They started about 7:30 that morning and the apartment was empty, aside from a few small things here and there by 3PM.
His Dad drove the truck to their new address while they all stayed back at the apartment, cleaning it up a little and taking a bit of time to say goodbye to the place they'd called home for so long. Lilly cried a little, but she knew she would after all. After a couple more hours, they took the key down to the complex manager's office and turned it in, along with Cody getting his security deposit back before they all loaded into the car and drove off up to their new home.
It was a little under an hour drive there and his parents' were already parked in the driveway, waiting for them. They all just walked around the property a little, talking about everything that was already there, like the in-ground pool in the backyard, for instance! "That'll be really nice in the summer soon! You realize we'll be coming up quite a bit, right?" His Mom asked, giggling a little as was Lilly. "Hey, we won't complain! Oh, crap! I just thought of something we forgot about!" Lilly said, starting to panic a little.
"What's that?" Cody asked, confused. She looked up at him and said "What's everyone else in Glacier gonna do when they go to the apartment and find out we're not there anymore!?" He thought for a moment before saying "Oh….We'll figure something out, trust me. Personally, if I were Eve or Kevin, the first place I'd think to go would be my parents' house or the vet." Lilly let out a relieved sigh and said "Okay, that'll work. Got me worried there…." Cody chuckled and said "Just don't stress too much about it. You're really close to your due date and you don't need the stress…."
She nodded and said "I know, don't worry. I can't believe it's only a little over a week away! I'm so anxious!" He chuckled more and said "I am, too! Just remember what Donna said….You've got nothing to be worried about." Lilly smiled a little and said "I remember, but that doesn't mean I won't worry at all…." His Mom giggled and said "It's a girl thing. We get to do that if we want." Cody let out an amused sigh and rolled his eyes, making them giggle more.
After a couple more hours of taking boxes and beds inside, they had the truck and car unloaded. Cody set the kids' beds up first and then he and Lilly's after that before bringing the couch inside to the living room. After that, they all sat down around the living room, exhausted from moving everything all day. Cody looked around and smiled, saying "So, does this feel like a dream to anyone else?" Lilly giggled and said "You're not alone, trust me. We're officially moved in now, then?" Cody nodded again and Lilly happily barked, making everyone laugh. "What was that for!?" Cody asked, still laughing.
"I don't know, couldn't help it…." Lilly giggled, blushing a little. Cody put his arm around and gently pulled her against him, rubbing up and down her side and making her purr a little. "So, when are you coming down to get your Jeep?" His Dad asked as he went into the kitchen to get some water. "Probably sometime this week. I need to get some stuff for the garage first…." Cody said. His Dad slowly nodded and asked "Like what, storage?"
Cody nodded too and said "That, and I've gotta find someone selling a good welder. I'll need to learn to weld if I'm getting that engine into it…." His Dad chuckled and said "Well, when you come get it, take mine. I don't use it anymore….I can't see well enough to really use it effectively anymore." Cody smiled and said "Alright. Thanks, Dad! I'll get a rental trailer reserved someday this week and come get it." About then, Crystal let out a long yawn, making everyone laugh a little and Dakota said "Well, someone must be tired…." Crystal smiled a little and said "I really am….I don't think I slept extremely well last night…."
Cody looked over at the clock on the stove and said "Wow, it's almost nine now….No wonder I'm getting tired, too." His Mom smiled and said "Well, I suppose we should be heading home about now. You've got work in the morning." He smiled too and said "I know, Mom. Thanks for coming and helping out!" She hugged him and said "Don't mention it, honey. We were happy to help….Not to mention we wanted to see the place ourselves. I think you guys got a really nice home here…." Lilly smiled again and said "So do I! I think we'll love it here…." His Mom giggled a bit and hugged her too, saying "I think you will, too. I'm sure those kids of yours in there'll love it, too." Lilly giggled too as she put her hand on her stomach, feeling a big kick from the pups.
"Seems they're gonna be ready soon! Remember what I said….As soon as it's time, you call us." His Mom said, looking over at Cody. He smiled and nodded, saying "I know, Mom, don't worry." She smiled too and said "Good. We'll see you guys later, then!" Crystal smiled and said "Bye, guys!" With that, his Dad got up and they walked out to the truck, getting in and heading home. Lilly let out a yawn as they heard them drive off, saying "I think I'm about ready for bed now…." Cody kissed her cheek and said "You go ahead, I'll be down in just a bit. Get comfy."
She purred a little and smiled again, saying "Okay….Goodnight, guys!" They all nodded and Alexis said "Night, Grandma!" Lilly got up and hopped down off the couch, stretching a little before going down to their new bedroom, pushing the door partly closed as she went in. "How come you're staying up, Dad?" Dakota curiously asked. Cody weakly smiled and said "Because, I need to ask you guys something….You all know she's getting close to giving birth, right?" They all nodded and Crystal said "Of course we do. Something wrong?"
"No, not that I know of. I am a bit worried, though….This obviously hasn't been a normal pregnancy….Donna still think there's a chance she'll need a C-Section done, which means she'll need surgery. That's what I'm worried about…." Cody said, looking scared. Dakota smiled a bit and said "Dad, she'll be okay, you know that. Mom's been through a lot worse than a simple surgery….Besides, she said it's a SMALL chance that would happen. Everybody in this room knows everything'll be okay." Cody smiled a little too, saying "Yeah, you're right….I know I'm probably just thinking too hard on all this, but I can't exactly help it." Crystal giggled a bit and said "You're not wrong too, either. Just try not to think of anything bad that you think might happen, just that it won't be long until your kids are born."
Cody nodded and got up, giving Crystal a hug as he said "Thanks, Crystal….I really appreciate it." She returned it and said "Don't mention it. You're exhausted, go to bed…." He chuckled a bit as they let go of each other and said "Yeah, I really am. Goodnight, guys!" They all nodded and Dakota said "Night, Dad. We'll be going to bed ourselves here in just a little bit." Cody nodded and went down to he and Lilly's bedroom, going in to see laying on her back on the bed. He smiled as he went in, closing the door as he asked "Are we comfortable there?" She giggled a little and said "Very! I take it the kids are still up?" Cody nodded and then she slyly smiled, saying "Okay, we'll just need to be quiet….Now come here, I've been waiting all night!"
Out in the living room, Dakota got up and stretched, saying "I don't know about you guys, but I'm going to bed….I'm tired." Crystal nodded and yawned, saying "Yeah, me too….Goodnight, you two!" Alexis and Chase smiled and he said "Night, guys! We won't be up too much longer ourselves, either." Crystal smiled too and said "Alright, goodnight, you two!" She got up and walked down to her and Dakota's bedroom with him, going in and he closed the door down behind them. She went over and laid down in their bed, letting out an exhausted sigh as she did before he laid down with her.
She looked around the bedroom for a few moments, smiling as she said "You know, this is a lot nicer than the apartment…." Dakota smiled too and said "Yeah, it really is! What do you like most so far?" She giggled and licking his neck, saying "Our new privacy…." He chuckled and said "Yeah, I can see that being REALLY nice! What're you getting at, hmm?" She giggled more and said "Well, nothing right now. I'm too tired…."
"I know you are, but now you've got me thinking about it." He said, smiling at her as he playfully nibbled her ear. She giggled again and said "Oh, did I? Well, too bad….If you wanna do it tonight, you'll be doin' it yourself." He chuckled and said "I can't see that as being bad….I'd be thinking of you the entire time, you know." She rolled her eyes and said "You're such a dork….Why do I love you?" He smiled and shrugged, saying "Because you do and can't help it…."
She let out a happy sigh and nuzzled him, saying "I know I can't….I can't help but love my big dork…." He kissed her cheek and nuzzled her again, causing her to purr a little. She cuddled against him a little, feeling his body heat radiate onto her. "Mmm….You're so warm…." She purred, laying her head against his neck. He smiled again and put his forelegs around her, gently pulling her against him more and she happily let him. "Comfortable enough?" He asked, running his paw up and down her back. She purred more and her back arched against his paw as she said "I'm very comfortable….I am a little hot, though."
"Well, it is kinda warm in here tonight." He said, smiling again. She softly giggled and said "Wrong hot, dummy…." After a moment to realize what she meant, he said "Oh, THAT hot! I'll stop if you want me to….I know you're tired." She lifted her head a little and smiled at him, saying "You don't need to stop, you know that. I can keep my own needs under control." He nodded and she laid her head back down, letting out a happy sigh and closing her eyes. Her scent was in the air a little bit and he could smell it, but put it out of his mind the best he could since they were both pretty tired.
After a few minutes of the peaceful silence, she suddenly giggled and said "Well, you're turned on, that's for sure…." He blushed a little since he knew exactly what she meant, looking down a little to see his wolfhood fully out and touching her stomach. "Sorry, baby….Couldn't stop it…." He quietly said, chuckling a little. She giggled more and shifted a little, pushing her stomach against his and pinning his wolfhood between them. "I don't like the taste of it…." He said, blushing a little as he smiled. She giggled again and said "Well, okay….How about I do this, then?" He smiled and closed his eyes as well, slowly drifting off to sleep with her.
Down in the other bedroom, Lilly let out a long sigh as she cuddled against Cody, feeling all warm inside after their bit of fun. "That felt so amazing, babe…." She said with a giggle, causing him to chuckle as well and he said "Not just for you, you know….You have no idea how warm you feel…." She giggled more as she said "Oh, stop it….Besides, you're the one that makes me warm like that…." He chuckled more as well as she let out a long yawn and he said "Well, someone's tired…."
"I really am….I wanna go to sleep…." She said, laying her head down at his neck. He kissed her cheek and said "Goodnight, love….I love you…." She let out a soft purr as she said "I love you, too…." He pulled the blanket up and put his arms around her, slowly rubbing up and down her back and making her purr more. She quickly fell asleep, starting to snore a little and he couldn't help but smile before closing his eyes and drifting off to sleep himself soon after.
Alexis and Chase on the other hand….They were laying in their bed wide awake, seemingly unable to sleep. She was thinking back to everything she remembers from way back when they were younger, thoughts and memories blasting through her mind. Chase wasn't much better; He was really missing the apartment already and it was keeping him awake. He turned his head to look at Alexis and could see tears in her eyes as she stared up at the ceiling. "Alexis, are you okay?" He softly asked, nudging her shoulder a little.
She nodded and wiped her eyes, saying "I'm fine, don't worry. Just thinking back….Remember those pups that Mom and Dad found?" He weakly smiled and nodded, saying "How could I forget? Why do you ask?" She smiled a bit herself and said "I don't know, I just couldn't help but think about them. I can't believe I was so selfish then…." He turned over onto his stomach and nudged her cheek with his nose, saying "Hey, look at me…."
She turned her head and he smiled a little again, saying "You weren't being selfish, you were being a mother. I know you really wanted to keep them, and no offense, but you weren't ready for that kinda thing." She smiled too and nodded, saying "I know I wasn't, it's okay. That doesn't mean I'm not now, though…." He chuckled a little and kissed her, causing her to purr a little as he said "And you'll get that chance before you know it, I promise." She nodded again and wiped her eyes, saying "I love you, Chase….More than you'll ever really know…." He smiled and kissed her again, saying "I love you too, Alexis….So damn much…." She giggled again and they kept kissing, her tail wagging and feeling her body starting to heat up.
Before it got to be too much, she pulled back and said "Not tonight, okay? I'm too tired tonight…." He nodded and said "All you gotta do is say no…." She smiled and kissed his cheek, saying "That's just one reason why I love you…." He chuckled and looked up at the window to see the moon shining bright outside, giving him an idea. "Hey, wanna go outside for a little bit? Just sit out there for a while?" He asked, smiling at her.
She happily sighed and said "Well, okay. The cool air would feel pretty good right now." He chuckled again as they got up, going out to the living room and to the back door. He hopped up and opened it, letting her walk out first. She smiled and wrapped her tail around his neck as she walked out, making him smile too as he followed her out. The cool night air immediately hit them, feeling amazing compared to the warm air inside the house. "Mmm….Feels really nice…." She said as they went out, pulling the door mostly closed as they did. "It really does…." He said, sitting down beside her. She sat down too and leaned against him, wrapping her tail around his as she did. The only sounds around were crickets chirping and the sound of cars driving along the freeways off in the distance, making for a peaceful night.
He looked up at the moon again and smiled, suddenly asking "Hey, Alexis? Can I ask you something?" She lifted her head off his shoulder and looked at him, saying "You can ask me anything. What's up?" He smiled more and asked "We've never howled with each other, have we?" She looked up at the moon as well, a smile crossing her face as she realized he was right. "No, we haven't….Did you have something in mind?"
He looked at her and kissed her cheek, saying "We could tonight….Just us, nobody else. What do you say?" She smiled more and kissed him back, but said "While it sounds really good to me, I don't feel up to it tonight. I'll probably fall asleep right after we start….I'm sorry…." He nodded and nuzzled her, causing her to purr as he said "It's okay, I understand. There's plenty of time in the future to do it. No need to feel sorry." She smiled again and laid her head back against his, saying "We will, I promise. Maybe tomorrow night." He nodded and rested his head against hers a little, saying "Sounds good to me."
