I do not own Trigun / Vash "the Stampede": he belongs to the amazing Mr. Yasuhiro Nightow.

Things Vash may have pondered, at least part of the time, during all the many years when he wandered alone.

Pathways

A century and more I've walked

At many cloudless skies I've gawked

Through winter winds and summer haze

I've trod long iles through nights and days

.

A pleasant place, this world can be

And yet, sadly, it seems to me

We fail to see aught but the sands

A common fault throughout the lands

.

Though many sands there are, 'tis true

All underneath the sky so blue

This world is home to precious life

That should not be wasted in strife

.

I try to show them love and peace

Alas, oft times, my words don't please

Both sisters dear, and humankind

Seldom have love upon their minds

.

Weather and land we can't control

But we can choose what our hearts hold

Why would they want hearts cold and dry

And do things that make others cry?

.

A better way, I think, to live

Is peace and love, and joy to give

Why do so few walk on that path

While most, instead, choose hate and wrath?

.

O God, it must sadden You, too

The harm that hate and anger do

Please lead us toward Your path of grace

So, with Your help, we'll mend our ways
