Merciless Man 36

Us, Together...

Akashi parked his car in front of a simple suburban home. He smiled slightly as he saw Kouki and another young boy seated together in the grassy garden directly in front of the small patio. Reo had told him that Kouki has accepted babysitting job every weekend and that if he want to talk to Kouki he had to come here. He sighed as he watch Kouki reading a story aloud to the little boy, his voice softly flowing through the words like music. The two were oblivious to the outside world and completely unaware that he was approaching them quietly. "Hey," Akashi called out to get their attention. Kouki looked up, noticing his presence.

"A-Akashi…" Kouki stuttered, his eyes widening as he noticed him standing in front of the iron gate. The boy gave him a concerned look before catching the eye of the man outside his home. "Neh, Kouki-chan who's that man?" The boy fidgeted, reaching for Kouki's sleeves clearly tense that an unknown stranger was outside their lot.

Kouki smiled, knelling down and brushing his long raven locks aside. "Yukio-kun, can you go in for awhile? I'll follow you in a minute; I'm just going to talk with that man over there." He swallowed, feeling butterflies beating on his stomach walls. He couldn't actually believe the words that came out of his lips.

Yukio nodded in understanding. "Um, okay, but if he do something wrong just yell out for me okay?" he whispered, running towards the front porch of his home. Kouki watched Yukio disappear into the house before looking back to face Akashi.

The two stood side by side as the moon's divine light illuminated both of their faces. "Reo already told me…" Akashi said, breaking the silence between them, his hands inside his pockets. Kouki nodded uncomfortably.

"So…" The single word was the only one that would let itself flutter out of his mouth and he flinched miserably. What am I supposed to do? Here he was right now, like an innocent child too shy to even say anything to his crush. ARGH! Kouki, you're not that innocent naïve boy from before! And your a guy so you can't feel like this and besides Reo said you were strong so…so… he nearly pulled his hair out in frustration.

Akashi finally sighed, making up his mind that he would take care of his shattered pride later if Kouki forgave him. "Kouki, please give me a second chance." Well, this is it. If he dumps me I'll blame Reo to fix my broken pride. Akashi chuckled at the thought.

Kouki furrowed his eyebrows in irritation. "What's so funny?" With that, Akashi straightened himself up again and turned his mismatch eyes toward Kouki.

"Nothing, I just remembered something," he smirked, turning to his aloof self again. In one single moment, he gave Kouki an intense gaze. Brown meets his heterchromatic orbs. This is it. This is judgment day. He can't screw a single word up if he wants Kouki to come back to him. He doesn't give a damn even if he's still married!]

I just want Kouki back!

"Listen to me well and clear, Kouki, because this is the first and last time I'm going to be this sweet. Don't hope I'll keep this attitude up forever." Akashi paused to see the effect of his words on Kouki. He swallowed in his nervousness, heart thundering against his chest. His brown eyes never wavered as they looked resolutely onto his hetechromatic ones.

"If you give me another chance, I will never leave you. I'm not going to hurt you anymore like before…losing you physically and my memory was like slowly and agonizingly dying without anyone by my deathbed. Kouki, I was so lost and I realized that I need you and love you. I'll take the best care over you for the rest of my life if you'll please, just welcome me back into your arms." Akashi bit his tongue. Shit, those words! I can't believe they came out of my mouth… He mentally cringed after realizing that it wasn't hard for him to be sweet and lovesick like a pig. He wouldn't blame Kouki if he start laughing right now to his face.

Instead, he began to cry, hiccupping every now and then to his dismay. Oh god, did I screw up?Now what?

"Kouki, stop, don't cry-!"

"I-I'm not crying because you made me, idiot! I'm crying because I'm so freaking happy…" Kouki sniffled, looking up to meet his gaze. "Yes, yes I'm giving you a second chance!" His tears cascaded frantically down at his cheeks at the sudden up and down bobbing of his head. All the pain punctured in his heart disappeared all of a sudden. In his delight, he pulled Kouki to a crashing hug and lifted him up, his feet inches above the ground.

Reo, you sacrificed your own happiness for me…I swear I'm not going to waste this second chance the both of you gave me…

"Hey, you made Kouki-chan cry old man!" Yukio said behind Akashi who has a visible frown on his cute chubby face.

Akashi twitched, "Who are you calling old man brat?" he said annoyed by the kid's sudden presence that abruptly end their moment.

"Who are you calling brat?! I'm not a brat! And you why are you hugging Kouki-chan?! Are you going to kiss him too?!" Yukio prodded disapprovingly to Akashi his arms across his chest.

Kouki was horrified, "Y-Yukio-kun what are you saying!"

"So what if I kiss him?..."

"Why do you wanna kiss Kouki-chan then old man?"

"Because I like Kouki that's why..."
Yukio looks like he just had an idea, "Oh, I see! So I can kiss Kouki-chan too ne?" he said looking up at Kouki, "Kouki-chan let me kiss you too when I grow up okay?" he said innocently.

"Umm...That's probably not going to happen Yukio-kun..." Kouki whispered nervously as clearly Akashi is emitting a dark aura around him.

MUST. NOT. KILL. A. KID...

Not far away from the couple, a second pair of piercing crimson eyes watched them from afar. A middle aged man scrutinized the both of them, especially the smiling brunette. His stern eyes reflected the air of a man who had been hardened by many obstacles in order to achieve his goals.

"Master, should we go home now?" the assistant asked his employer dutifully.

Flight 271 JPA to Amsterdam please proceed to gate 15

"Reo-nee, come on let's go!." Kotaro said tapping Reo on his shoulder to get his attention, alerting him that it was time to board the plane.

"All right. Let's go." He was finally ready to depart.

"Good bye, my Kouki..."
