Okay, I am SO SO sorry for this delay. I have not been in the mood to do anything Yugioh related at all! I have been watching Yu Yu Hakusho and OMFR that is one of the most AMAZING anime I have EVER seen! I loved it as much as I do Yugioh and that's saying something! So going to write a story with Hiei and Kurama! They're so amazing! Love them! *squeee! Hiei! *dies* Haha sorry about that, but that's where I've been. This chapter is a bit short. I could only get 14 pages out of it sadly. How annoying, but I promise next chapter will be better. Honestly, my mind still isn't fully on Yugioh yet, but I can't really do anything with Yu Yu Hakusho until I really get to know these characters. It's a bit of a confusing anime, but I do have a plan. Haha. Hiei's going to be going crazy! As if his life wasn't horrible enough? Now I'm going to kill his sister?! Haha! Yes, I sure am! Yukina's going bye bye! I'm just so mean! I love torturing my characters! *evil laugh of doom*

Alrighty then, I think it's time to get this show on the road! Again, sorry if it's ehh...like I said, my mind's a bit...yeah right now.

Endlessly:

I could love you endlessly, I could fall in love with you and we could keep a miracle alive. Every time I look in your eyes, I get lost inside of your soul. What are you doing to me? Don't you know that I hate you? Don't you want my blood on your hands? Don't you want me to scream? Don't you realize that it's too late to bring me back life? I'm already further than death. I'm drowning in my desire for you and my need to kill you. I want my hands covered in your blood, I want your skin underneath my fingertips I want you to reach out and touch me, I want you to burn me alive with your beautiful eyes. I want to hear your voice when I go to bed at night, I want to lie next to you and watch the world go by. I want to end you for good, I want to make you suffer, I want to see the look in your eyes when you look up at me when I hold the knife above your heart. I want you to know that any claims of hope you had of us is nothing but fantasy we'll never have. I want you to be the one that kills me, I want my blood on your hands.. I want you to end me I want to feel your passion. I want to feel your soul wrapping around mine. I want to know if you feel this too. I want to know if I can kill you now. I want to feel you underneath me I want to feel something besides this loneliness I feel inside. I want to bring the demon out of you.

I want to know if it hurts when I cut you up inside. I want to know if you really hate me or if I really hate you. I want to make me scream, I want to feel the power within me grow. I want you to knock me out, I want you to defeat me. I want something so much more from you than I could ever get. I want you to bleed, I want you to scream. I need you to know you're driving me crazy. I need you to know my soul burns passionately for you every time you give me that look I think I'm going to lose my mind. I want you dead, I want your soul to scream, to earn itself to me. I need you to know this isn't a game anymore. And what would you think if I told you that loved you this whole time? What would you say if I told you I never wanted to hate you, that I never loved you at all? What if I was playing with your mind?

What if I was lying right now? What if I told it was too personal to tell you how I felt about you? What if I told you that everything you've done to me was nothing more than just a wicked fantasies you dreamt of? What if I can't take it back? What if I don't want to? What if everything I said wasn't a lie? What if I tried to bring you back? What if I really did love you? Would you love me back, even though you think of me as a fool? Am I fool to fall in love with you? What if I told you that loving you is so impossible, it's not reality. I couldn't take it anymore. You burn me alive, I'd give myself to you if I could.

Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh. If I did, then Yugioh would have ended with Bakura and Yami admitting their undying love for one another and Seto would have pulled Joey into a kiss to shut him up because Puppy and Darkshipping rock!

Warnings: My usual, y'all know what that means, but for those of you who happen to be new to my awesomeness, it means there's lemony goodness!

Summary:

Moments away from destroying Zorc, Yami hesitates, asking Horakhty if she can set Bakura free. She agrees, telling Yami that in order for him to pass into the afterlife, he must break his enemy of the darkness, and he only as a year to do so.

Chapter Thirty-six: Pranced

[Yugi's POV]:

Yami stands on the platform staring at his duel disk. His hand hovers over the surrender button as Zorc continuously tells him he needs to give up. Well, I'm not going to let that happen!

"Yami!" I shout. He snaps his head up. "Don't you dare think of giving this duel up to the likes of him!" I snarl jabbing my finger at Zorc.

"Were you not paying attention, little boy?' Zorc sneers. "If the Pharaoh attacks me his precious fuck buddy goes bye-bye." the demon god laughs waving his hand.

"I'm aware of that," I say then I turn to Yami. "You can't let Zorc's head games get the better of you, Yami. You have to defeat Zorc in order to save Bakura."

"How the hell is he going to save Touzoku when he's killing him by attacking me?" Zorc inquires.

"You're setting up a trap!" Anzu exclaims. "You know damn well you're not going to kill Bakura in this duel! You're trying to get Yami to forfeit!"

"Maybe, maybe not." Zorc shrugs.

I hate seeing my Yami like this. He's so confused. He knows he has to defeat Zorc and in order to do that he needs to get his life points down to zero. But if he does that, where does that leave Bakura?

XXXXXXXX

[Yami's POV]:

How can I do this? How can I abandon the one person that means everything to me? Yugi believes I shouldn't quit. And deep down inside, I know it is wrong to. I have never quit in my life, but how can I possibly win this when so much is on the line? If I attack Zorc and win this duel then Bakura will be gone forever. On the other hand, if I don't attack then Zorc will attack me and my friends will be sacrificed to the Millennium Item cards each turn.

And worse yet, if I just give up then at the end of this month if Bakura isn't any better then he'll die. I close my eyes for a moment. So much is on the line. In order for me to save Bakura, I know what I need to do. I look over at Bakura's unconscious form.

"I'm so sorry, Bakura." I whisper. "Please forgive me, my love." I turn towards the demon god. "Zorc!" I shout jabbing my finger at him. "You'll never get your hands on my man!"

"I'm afraid I already have. He is my wife." Zorc smirks. "Now then, I think it's time for me to do some damage to you. After all, you damaged my wife and I don't take that too lightly. So, I think I'll conjure up some more monsters to do my bidding!"

Zorc summons Bakura's Gross Gross of Fled Dreams in defense mode. I have no idea why he summoned such a weak monster, but I know I have to defeat it before he conjures up another monster and attacks Diabound Kernel with it. Of course, I have to be aware of what cards Zorc has on the field.

I can only attack once. And then there's the fact Zorc has the Rod, Scales, and Eye on the field activated. He'll be able to see my cards, steal my monsters and combine them with his regardless if they're compatible with one another or not. I need to figure out a way to get around those three cards. And the worse of it is, Zorc hasn't even played the Puzzle or the Ring cards yet.

XXXXXXXX

[Anzu's POV]:

I hate this. I hate that Yami has to sacrifice Bakura in order to win this duel in order to save him. I hate Zorc! I wished there was a way to defeat Zorc without having to go through all this nonsense. It's not fair. Poor Bakura, he's just going to keep getting sacrificed.

Bakura will be saved and he'll forgive Yami for his actions today. I believe that Bakura would want Yami to attack Zorc because I know he wants to be free of him. It's painful to see someone so amazing as Bakura to be so miserable.

I never thought I'd care for someone like Bakura. When I first met him. I was terrified of him, now all I want to do is protect him. But with Zorc's Shadow Game rules that's impossible. There has to be a way for Yami to save him, but what?

This duel is hard enough without having to worry about Bakura's soul or our souls. With three of the Millennium Item cards activated it's going to be difficult for Yami to even get to Zorc. This has just turned into one big mess.

I sigh, clutching my purse tightly in my hands.

"He'll win, Anzu." Tristan says.

I turn towards my friend, nodding. I know Yami will. It's just...how is he going to win and save Bakura?

"This is so unfair." I whisper tears ready to spill from my eyes.

"Life's not fair, Anzu." Marik snaps. "Did you expect this to be easy?"

"No, I just-"

"Yeah I know." Marik says. "But there is a way for Yami to win, if he'd stop over thinking things. He knows what he needs to do."

"I just wish he didn't have to sacrifice Bakura in order to beat Zorc is all." I say clutching my purse tightly.

Marik doesn't say anything, he glares at the duel. Though he'll never admit to it, I know deep down inside he is terrified of the outcome. So far, none of us have been sacrificed because Yami hasn't lost any life points, but he'll lose them before it's over with. Zorc said Mokuba will be first. Yami is doing everything in his power to prevent such a thing, but it's costing Bakura.

XXXXXX

[Seto's POV]:

"I know that you want to bring back your Dark Magician." Zorc says. "And don't worry, I'll be ready for it."

With so much on the line the so called Pharaoh can't afford to be stupid and second guess himself. He needs to go with his instincts. Of course, when someone you love is in danger and the only way to protect them is by putting them in danger then that puts quite the damper on things.

"If you don't stop standing there and fight back then Zorc is going to win and you'll never save Bakura!" I shout. "Stop being stupid and fight. Only I'm allowed to defeat you, understand?!"

Yami turns towards me his eyes widening at my outburst. He knows what he needs to do. He's just too scared to do it. He'll lose life points, but you have to lose in order to win. He summons Dark Magician just as Zorc predicted. Zorc tries to get Yami's best monster, but he activates Magical Hats, preventing Zorc from getting Dark Magician.

"Very impressive Pharaoh." Zorc says. "I see you've managed to save your magician, of course, I saw that coming."

"I know you did." Yami smirks.

"I don't know what you're so happy about." Zorc says. "I'm about to take your monster away from you."

"You'll have to find my magician first." Yami says.

"Hmm that'll be easy." Zorc says. "I activate the Millennium Key."

And here we go with another Millennium Item card.

"Oh no!" Mokuba gasps. "Seto, it's another Millennium Item card. What does this one do?"

"Well, if it's anything like the actual Millennium Key we're in trouble." Marik says.

"How so?" Anzu asks.

"The Millennium Key is able to see the true inner soul of someone. In the past it was used to detect the Ka of another person." Ryou replies.

"Whoa how did ya-" my boyfriend gasps.

Ryou rolls his eyes. "In case you've forgotten, Bakura happens to be my yami. He was obsessed with the Items, so I learned about them." the boy says.

"Makes sense," Anzu says. "So what do you suppose the Key will do in this duel?"

Ryou looks out at said duel. "Hmm, well so far it seems that Zorc is recreating the powers of the Rod, Scales and Eye, so I'm sure the Key will be no different."

"Yami won't have a problem." Yugi says.

"And how can you be so sure?" Duke asks. "From the way things look Yami isn't going to win this duel."

Yugi turns towards Duke. "You'll see." he says before turning back to the duel. "Go Yami!" he shouts.

XXXXXXX

[Ryou's POV]:

We watch as Zorc attacks the hats. There's no way he's going to miss because he knows exactly where Yami's Dark Magician is thanks to the Key and the Eye, but Yami doesn't seem to be worried at all. Yugi says he has a plan, and I'm sure the former Pharaoh does. Everyone sits on the edge of their seats. Anzu bites her nails, her eyes widen with worry.

"What?!" Zorc exclaims.

The smoke clears and we see Yami's Mystic Box on the field. It destroys Zorc's monster and Dark Magician is saved.

"Way ta go, Yams!" Joey cheers. "I knew ya could do it!"

"Yeah, great job man!" Tristan yells.

"Kick his ass, Yami!" Mai shouts. "Don't let this punk hurt Bakura!"

"You make one decent move and all of a sudden you're the king of the world?" Zorc laughs. "My monster may be gone, but you'll still lose this duel, Pharaoh."

"We'll see." Yami says. "It's my turn."

"Yams sure is kicking ass, ain't he guys?" Joey says.

"Zorc is just letting him win." I murmur.

"What do ya mean?" Joey asks.

I look up at the blonde. "Zorc is really the one in control of this duel." I reply.

"But how? I mean Yams has more life points and-"

"Life points aren't everything, Joey." Yugi reminds him.

"True," Joey sighs. "But still, I know Yams can beat him."

"No doubt," Anzu concurs, "but he still has to watch out for Zorc. After all, I'm sure that creep has something nasty planned."

We watch as Yami activates Monster Reborn and gets his Dark Magician Girl back. Now he has both of his Magicians on the field along with Diabound Kernel.

"I know what you want to do." Zorc smirks. "Go ahead and summon Slifer! See where it gets you fool!"

Yami doesn't make his move right away. Yami has never been one to jump into things. Everyone is cheering for him. He has to win this at all cost. I glance over at my yami. With each passing turn he gets weaker and weaker. I wish there was something I could do to help him. I take Dark Necrofer out of my pocket. There's a reason that Bakura gave me this card instead of giving it to Yami. For some reason, he doesn't want Yami to summon Dark Diabound, but why?

XXXXXX

[Serenity's POV]:

"When will this ever end?" I whisper, tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Yami will find a way to beat Zorc, Serenity." Mokuba says pulling me into his arms.

"I know, I just...poor Bakura." I say.

"I know," Mokuba says. "I know."

I hate this. I wish there was something that I could do to help. I know that Yami can win, but it seems so hopeless. I mean even though Yami has the most life points, I know Zorc is really the one that's in control of this duel. He's in control of us all. He has our lives in the palm of his hand and he's toying with us. I hate him! I wish I could blast him across the land. Poor Bakura, I can't believe he had to suffer so badly in the hands of this monster.

Each passing turn, my friend gets weaker and weaker. I know Yami doesn't want to sacrifice Bakura, but it seems that he has no other choice. In order for him to beat Zorc, he has to take away his life points. Zorc has several of the Millennium Item cards on the field. Yami knows that he has to be careful, but he seems to be able to get past the cards somehow, let's just hope he can continue.

"Go Yami!" I shout. "You can do it!"

He looks at me and smiles. A long time ago, I used to be a bit afraid of him, yet I felt safe at the same time.

"Kick his ass, Yams!" Joey shouts.

We all cheer Yami on. I think it gives him confidence. He smiles at us, knowing what he needs to do.

"Don't get too cocky up there, Pharaoh." Marik says. "You know who you're facing."

Yami nods, turning back to the duel.

"You're through, Zorc." he says.

"Then end me, fool!" Zorc snaps.

XXXXXXXX

[Yami's POV]:

Zorc is expecting me to summon Slifer. It would be the best plan. Slifer won't be affected by these traps and magic cards on the field, but still, he knows that's what I want to do. I have to be careful. Still, it's my only chance to save Bakura. I glance over at my lover. He's so weak. Zorc's life points are so low, yet he has so much confidence he's going to win.

Everyone is cheering me on. I love that I have so many great friends to support me. Without them, I would be nothing. I wouldn't have been able to get as far as I have. Their support gives me strength and it's their support that will save Bakura from his imprisonment.

I have three monsters on the field. That's all I need to get Slifer on the field. Zorc has nothing but Dark Door, and three of the Item cards. I wish I could blast that smirk right off his face. Alright, Yami, it's time to decide what to do. I must take this chance.

"I sacrifice my monsters to summon Slifer the Sky Dragon!" I shout throwing the three monsters into the graveyard and summoning my mighty Egyptian God, the very first one I had won during Battle City. Slifer covers the whole arena with his long body. Even to this day, Slifer still amazes us all. "Zorc!" I shout. "It's time for you to lose!"

I have three cards in my hand. Which gives Slifer 3,000 attack points, which is more than enough to wipe Zorc out.

"Then go ahead and attack me, Pharaoh." he sneers. "Just remember what'll happen when you do."

I close my eyes, fists clenching at my sides. If I attack Zorc, then Bakura could be gone forever, but if I don't attack we all could die. Zorc wants me to attack, and I should, but how can I? How can I do something so horrific?

"I end my turn." I say looking down.

"I thought you'd say that." Zorc laughs. "Now then, it's time for me to turn this duel around. So far, I've been going easy on you, but not this time! I activate Monster Reborn. Diabound Kernel is my monster now. Then, I'm going to play the Ring."

"And what does that do?" I ask.

"It'll trap both of our monsters for three turns." Zorc says.

"You can't use a trap card on Slifer." I point out. "It won't work."

"Whoever said I was using it on Slifer?" Zorc asks.

"I don't have any monsters on the field besides Slifer, Zorc." I say.

"Again, whoever said anything about your monster?" Zorc asks.

My eyes widen. "You can't do that!" I exclaim.

"Watch me!" Zorc cackles.

The Ring is activated and suddenly, Diabound Kernel and Dark Necrofer are locked inside.

"Dammit!" Joey exclaims.

"How the hell did he do that?!" Mai gasps in horror.

"I wouldn't have been able to do that if the Pharaoh hadn't of summoned Slifer, but since he did it allowed me to take monsters from any nearby deck. So if you want your monsters, I suggest you tell your Pharaoh friend to give up Slifer. Oh, and of course, there's more." Zorc smirks.

"And what's dat?!" Joey shouts.

"Well, for every monster that the Ring absorbs, I gain 500 life points, but the Pharaoh here loses 500." Zorc says. "And you know what happens when the Pharaoh loses life points, don't you?"

The Ring's effect activates, taking 1,000 of my life points and giving Zorc 1,000 extra life points. His goes up to 1500 while mine goes down to 3,000.

"Now, I'll be true to my word and take Mokuba Kaiba!" Zorc cackles.

"You're not taking him!" Kaiba shouts pulling his brother close to him protectively.

"I'm afraid you don't have a choice in the matter, priest!" Zorc exclaims. "Millennium Ring, suck that boy's soul up!"

"No!" Kaiba shouts. "Mokuba!"

"It's okay, Nii-sama." Mokuba says. "I know Yami will save us."

In a flash of purple light, he's gone.

"Mokuba!" the CEO shouts.

"I'm so sorry, Kaiba." I whisper.

"Yami, kill him!" Kaiba snarls.

"I will." I say. I turn to Zorc, who's smirking widely. "This ends now, Zorc. Slifer, Lightning-"

"I dont' think so Pharaoh. I play Yugi's Time Jump Magic Card." Zorc says.

"What?!" Yugi exclaims. "How did you-"

"Fool, my wife is a thief, he stole it for me." Zorc says. "Now then, the Ring's powers are sped up to three turns, which means I can play Diabound Kernel!"

Diabound Kernel appears in front of Zorc.

"Zorc, you know what Slifer's ability is!" I shout. "You're wasting your time by summoning that monster!"

"Then go ahead and attack me!" Zorc snaps. 'See where it gets you."

I don't have much of a choice, Slifer opens his second set of jaws and blasts Diabound with 2,000 points of damage. That's more than enough to destroy it. When the smoke clears, Diabound Kernel is still standing.

"What?!" I exclaim.

"Did you honestly think that I would let you attack my wife's Ka?" Zorc says. "You destroyed Dark Magician Girl instead, and since she is originally your monster, you lose life points which means another soul goes into one of the Item cards."

"No!" I shout.

Zorc throws his head back in a fit of laughter. "Let's see now, which one?" he muses examining my friends. "Ohhh! I know! Let's take: Bland Ass!"

"Leave Tristan alone!" I hiss.

"No can do, Pharaoh." Zorc says. "You put this upon yourself."

"Tristan!" we all exclaim in unison as he's sucked into the Millennium Scales card.

"You're going to pay for what you've done!" Duke snarls.

"If you say so." Zorc says with a shrug. He turns back to me. "Well, Pharaoh, it's your move."

"Slifer, attack with Thunder Force Attack!" I order the God. Slifer sends out his attack.

"Diabound Kernel, counterattack, White Lightning!" Zorc shouts.

The attacks his mid air, when the smoke clears, Diabound Kernel is replaced with Dark Diabound.

"Say what?!" Joey exclaims.

"Now the real fun can begin, Pharaoh." Zorc smirks. "Remember my monster's special ability? You thought I was just throwing my monsters away for nothing? Well, you thought wrong! I have ten fiend type monsters in the graveyard, which means that my mighty beast has 3800 attack points, which is more than enough to blast Slifer into the next Millennia!"

He's right. Slifer only has 3000 attack points due to the fact I'm only holding 3 cards. I need to get more cards in my hand. I can't afford to lose Slifer. I look down at the field. I had forgotten I laid a face down card earlier. It could help me.

"I activate Card Destruction." I say.

"Like that'll help?" Zorc laughs throwing his hand in the graveyard. One of the cards must have been one of Bakura's monsters because Dark Diabound's attack points rise to 4000. Slifer's goes down to zero. I use the same tactic I had on Kaiba during Battle City and draw the same cards as before then another three, giving Slifer 6,000 attack points.

"Slifer, attack Dark Diabound!" I shout.

Zorc smirks. "You think it's that easy, Pharaoh?" he laughs. "I play, Negate Attack!"

Slifer's attack misses his target.

"Now it's my turn." Zorc says. "Let's see here Your monster has 6,000 attack points and mine only has 4,000, but that'll change soon enough."

"Just go." I snap.

"One shouldn't rush their demise, Pharaoh." Zorc leers.

"The only demise around here will be yours!" Anzu shouts.

"You're next on the hit list, little bitch." Zorc says.

"Leave her alone." I growl.

"I don't think so. Now then, I think it's time for me to get this game really started. It's time to activate the Puzzle." Zorc says. 'And believe me, when I do, you won't know what hit you!"
