**I do own Katelynn (Birna Katelynn Odden-Haddock) and Chronos G. Reaper, however
Jack watched in terror as the Negatives took his friends away from him, unable to help due to his restraints. "Pitch! Let them go!"
Pitch's golden eyes slid over to Jack, his pointy teeth showing in his devilish smile. "I can't do that, Jack…until you surrender to me. Think of it Jack…you and me? Ruling the world?"
"Sorry but that's not my style…" Jack growled. "Let. Them. Go…"
Pitch laughed. "Or what, Frost? Do you forget that you are powerless? That you are tied down by my will?"
Jack went to make a comeback but something caught his eye. Behind Pitch, and the others, on the ceiling, the air vent jiggled. The Negatives didn't seem to notice. His eyes narrowed when he saw a hand poke through and make a small wave before it shot back up in the vent. He was astonished by what he saw but he knew exactly who it was. He didn't like it but he caught the drift of the plan.
Distract.
Jack cleared his throat to get Pitch's attention again, away from the vent. "So…uh…rule the world, huh?"
Hiccup's eyes darted over to him questionably. "Jack, what are you doing…?" He was shaken by Gothel, to make him keep quiet.
Pitch was taken aback from Jack's words. "Why…yes…"
"What comes with that?"
Pitch brow arched upwards. "What do you mean?"
"Like…uh…" Jack saw a bronze and silver cylinder poke through the vent, the cap opened, green fog came out. He heard it hiss. Before the Negatives could see what the sound was, Jack said loudly, "Like will more people believe in me? Like you told me a long time go? That gives you power, right? People believing in us? Any one of us?"
"Jack, you should know that by now that belief means power…" Pitch's voice was edged with suspicion.
"That…sounds…" Jack made a fake yet believable smile. "Great."
Pitch stared at him, shocked, his mouth gaping open even. "Are…are you agreeing to my terms…?" Suspicion in his voice became more detectable, his eyes showing it as well. "That is uncharacteristic of you, Jack. It does not match up with what you have said before hand..."
"No, no it's not…" Jack then made a playful smirk. "Good thing I didn't mean a single word I said, huh?"
"What—?"
BOOM!
The green cloud that formed behind them burst into flame, startling the Negatives. The smell of smoke filled the room along with the white cloud. The vent burst off of its seal and crashed onto Mor'du's head. He roared, making him let go of Rapunzel and Merida, who scrambled away as fast as they could to Jack, despite their restraints. A tall human figure dropped out of the vent, landing on Mor'du. The slammed what looked like a shield on his head, making him even more disoriented. Before the smoke could thin out, more of the green cloud burst from the figure's object. The trail followed the figure as it snuck behind Gothel. A spark emanated by the end.
Whoosh! The gas cloud exploded with a fireball. Gothel spun around to see only more smoke. She yelled in surprise when Hiccup was taken out of her grip. An angry growl came from her. "Come back here!"
The figure got closer to Jack, the hopping Hiccup in tow. The figure made another green cloud in the white smoke and lit it again, making it almost impossible to see in the room. But due to the time distortion, the fire alarms in the building didn't go off. Jack watched the figure approach him quickly and the gas making object in their hand sudden extended, the blade presumably, and the blade burst into flame. Jack jerked back at the flame. He gasped when the flame swung towards him but instead of bursting into flame, he felt his restrains drop to the ground, leaving him free.
"Catch."
Jack stumbled to catch his staff that was tossed to him. He saw the figure release Hiccup, Rapunzel, and Merida. And he saw it pass them their weapons. The flaming sword disappeared. "How…?"
The figure came closer to Jack after giving Hiccup a piggy-back ride. The fog thinned just enough to see who it was. Birna said to him, "You can thank me later." She made a break for it for the doors. "Follow me!"
"But…but they'll follow us!" Rapunzel yelped. She saw the figures of the Negatives come through the fog.
"Yeah, but for right now…less talking, more running."
I am such a terrible person...I just don't have the motivation to do this story anymore...that's why it's getting harder and harder to see an update for this story...I'm sorry if I let any of you down. And by the looks of the reviews when I post them, no one seems to care anymore about it. I feel like no one reads this story anymore, even though the fav and follow numbers are pretty high but...I just don't hear from you anymore. And that's most likely my fault. But it...discourages me anymore. I am seriously thinking of dropping the story, if no one is reading it anymore...
I don't know what to do...I am under so much stress right now...
