(A/N: Hey loyal readers! Thank you so much for your patience. I have not forgotten about this story by any means. I've been really busy lately, so this is pretty short, but the next one will probably be ready relatively soon. After all, you must be wondering what the sitch is with Starfire and Shego, right? (Not to mention Slade...) Hopefully this will tide you over until the next one.)

Cyborg shifted the T-Car into park and everyone got out. "Here we are, y'all," he said. "Jump City Wharf."

"Everybody spread out and look for signs of Shego or Starfire," Kim ordered. The instruction was somewhat unnecessary, but the rest of the team followed it and immediately exited the vehicle and began searching.

Kim and Ron went around to all the shops and restaurants along the wharf, now closed, and peered into windows, doors, or any other openings. Cyborg switched his sensors to detect any other bodies' heat and walked the streets, his built-in flashlight illuminating the night. Robin climbed up to the tall, flat roof of a seafood restaurant to get a better view of the whole area. Beast Boy looked around for manholes, since Slade's lair was probably in the sewers somewhere. When he found none within the perimeter of the wharf, he walked over to where Raven was meditating.

"Well, I'm running out of ideas," BB said.

"Sh! I'm finding them," Raven snapped, her eyes shut tightly.

"I'll bet they weren't even here, like this is all a wild goose chase…"

Raven held up her hand and silenced him. "They were here," she said. "Both of them. I can feel it. Just shut up and let me focus." She shut her eyes again and stretched out one hand, following the sensation of Starfire's and Shego's energies. The signal grew stronger and stronger until suddenly she hit something. Opening her eyes, Raven found that she was standing against the short fence separating the tourist area from the deep, green ocean. She turned around and yelled to the other Titans, "I think I found something!"

Instantly, Cyborg, Kim, Ron, Robin, and Beast Boy gathered around her. "Shego and Starfire were in this exact spot," Raven explained. "It was recent because their presence is still strong. The question is where they went after. If I go any further to the right or left, the energy just stops."

"There must be a trap door of some kind," Robin reasoned.

"I'm on it!" Beast Boy exclaimed, morphing into a dog. He sniffed all around Raven and the fence, then sat down with a sad look. He changed back to a human and announced, "Sorry. Everything smells so much like fish. I can't get anything."

"Ahem!" Ron said, reaching into his pocket. "I happen to carry with me at all times a trap door expert. You didn't forget about my man Rufus, did you?" He presented the naked mole rat on his palm.

"Hi!" Rufus squeaked.

Cyborg rolled his one human eye. "You have got to be kidding me. If basset hound BB can't sniff out a trap door…"

"Who said anything about sniffing?" Ron interrupted. "Rufus is the smartest naked mole rat I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and he can literally find anything from trap doors to car keys." He set Rufus on the ground and said, "Go for it, buddy!" Rufus saluted and scampered off.

The team watched intently as Rufus scurried along the ledge, tapping the ground with his soft, tiny paws and examining it with his beady eyes. He sat back on his haunches and looked at the ocean, as well as all around the edge of the wood floor. He thought for a second, then exclaimed, "Aha!" Crawling under the ledge, almost hanging above the water, he pushed down on a suspiciously large knot in the wood. Instantly, a circular tube rose out of the water, connecting to the dock and created an opening right next to Raven.

"There it is," she said.

"All right, Rufus!" Ron celebrated, reaching over to pick up his hairless friend and slip him back into his pocket. "That's what I'm talking about, buddy."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Kim asked. "Let's get in there and save Starfire!"

"Right," Robin nodded, peering down into the mysterious, deep hole. "Everyone follow me." Under his breath, he added, "Hang on, Star," before jumping feet first into the vertical tunnel. He was followed immediately by Kim, then Ron, Raven, Beast Boy, and Cyborg. They seemed to fall forever and curve around into every possible different direction until the Titans were finally dumped out into a shallow pool of dark liquid, far below the streets of Jump City. They were in the sewers.
